This company his horrible, does not have access to a computer. Takes phone pics to send you an invoice. Then has your vehicle towed on the day the check gets to them from the corporate office because they dont have space. Didnt even call for the bus to be picked up. Horrible Horrible way to get business. Get online access, a copy printer and fax in one and dont tow a paying customers car because you run out of space in your little lot that is over crowded by cars that have been sitting there for a year.
This place is the best. Went above and beyond to get our car in. Very professional and very nice staff. Car is running great and very satisfied. They are super honest about repairs that you need and very honest about the ones that you do not need. I would recommend anyone to make this their personal repair shop that you can trust . Very reasonable when it comes to pricing, hard to find a shop like this, trust me! Also got our car back quick.
Went to this place back in July when it was super hot! They were able to fix my ac for a reasonable price, a couple hundred cheaper than others. Ac works well and has been blowing cold air all summer.

Brought my car into Kent Auto Repair and was quite pleased with the professionalism and timely repair work they did on my car. I did call other repair shops after I had the work done to compare prices. Kent Auto Repair was between $50 - $125.00 cheaper than all the other places I called. I will use Kent Auto Repair for all my vehicles from now on. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

I am not big on reviews, but this place deserves it. I ended up calling them two summers ago when pregnant and HOT! My AC was out and for some reason everywhere I went could not figure it out or gave me a crazy price! I called them last min and they had me come in and got the job done and did not try to rip me of. They also were very friendly and welcoming. Needless to say I do not go elsewhere for my repairs

Spent almost $2,000 getting belts changed and diagnostic on airbag. 2 Days Later the airbag light came on again and I was charged $140 for the guy to reconnect a wire under the front seat what she said was a new repair and then was cussed out because I was putting up a fight. They held my card wouldnt let me have it until I paid it even though I never authorized it.
After taking my car to Kent Auto Repair I will never go anywhere else. Not only did they get my vehicle in quickly, it was also repaired and ready faster than I expected. When I picked it up the repairs were explained to me in a way I could truly understand and my questions were answered with patience, which is very important to me. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews like this but this place has been so amazing to me and my family for so long I felt like it was the least I could do. My dad has been taking his cars here for as far back as I can remember which is at least 2 decades, and now as an adult- I bring mine here too and I can’t see myself going anywhere else in the future. They do high quality work and charge less than the big chain shops that are able to expand by ripping people off on a large scale! We’ve referred family friends to this place too and they’ve all been happy. I have always been very satisfied with their work and every employee has always been very friendly and never has hesitated to answer any questions I’ve had or help in whatever way they could. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get their car fixed correctly, on the first try, with no BS!
I have been very impressed with the honest, trustworthy service. I have taken all my vehicles to Kent Auto Repair. I have referred others that have received the same excellent service. All services were excellently done, plus important issues were also found and pointed out for my consideration, proving an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. You wont find many shops out there that will take care of you as much as Kent Auto Repair.

As a single woman taking a car to a shop can become expensive. Most shops try to up sell because they think I dont know better. The shop employees were wonderful. I was quoted an approximate price over the phone & the final price of repair was a few dollars over. Also they had the repair done earlier than I expected. Ill definitely be back!!
Marlene was was very helpful when I had car troubles, she sent a tow truck right away and got me to the shop. She is really nice and pretty and got my car fixed in a couple of hours. I will call her again for anything my car needs.
Car wouldnt start what do I do?I looked online for someone local. I found and called Kent Auto Repair and they took good care of me! They told me they would send their tow truck my way, pick up my car and bring it back to the shop. Tow truck was quick to respond with a courteous driver who seemed to care about my car and how it was loaded on his truck who then took it to the shop for repair. Repair was done within hours of pick up and at what I felt was a great rate for everything involved!

Ive brought a few of my cars into this shop and everytime theyve got the job done right for me. Labor pricing was fair, never had an extensive wait to get my vehicles back, and never a hassle. Also theres a drop off box for your keys if youre ever in a pickle after hours and need to drop off your car.
I saw this shop does free brake inspections so I went there because my brakes were grinding. Leon told me that my front brakes were metal to metal and my back brakes were fine. He said they could fix them right away and they did. I was very happy that they were able to do them while I waited and the price was less than I expected.
I honestly love these guys. They fixed my 04 ford explorer, and my 2013 mini coup. John was always helpful and even when you dont have alot to spend to fix cars, he still manage to help 2 find cheaper prices on parts and some other things. They will always double check as well making sure nothing else at that time, is wrong with the car . I must say its been a while since I came back to get my car done from them, but I so recomend them. Im most definitely not disappointed.
Exceptional service at a fair price. I called broken down and on a busy Saturday they managed to fit me in; they came and towed me, diagnosed the issue and repaired my car while I waited - even though they had plenty to do! They had a full lot when I arrived and people kept coming in while I was there. I think the fact they are so busy is a testiment in itself of the great job they do and the care they show their customers. If I need work on my car in the future, Ill definitely go back.
Horrible customer service we wont use them ever again. As you can see if anyone calls him out on how bad he actually is he responds with sarcastic or rude comments. What a way to treat your customers, threaten them, thats the best way to prove to people they should use you.
I have taken several vehicles here in the last year they always do a good job and get my car done fast. They are always very busy and the parking lot is always so full its hard to get in but worth it. They did brakes a tune up and fixed an oil leak and got it back to me the same day. This is the best car shop I have ever been to.

I once delivered an order here. The owner is blatantly racist, and has no people skills. Was considering sending people I knew needed work done. But not here. First impressions are everything! The location this shop is in, you would think they value each customer. Nope, atmosphere is hostile! Never recommending to stop and get air here.

This shop was recommended to me by a trusted friend. I brought my car in for acceleration problems. The technicians kept me in the loop throughout the entire process via phone and e-mail. It turns out I had a defective fuel pump. Their costs were fair and the service was fantastic and guaranteed. Highly recommended!
I went here because my car failed emissions and they were on the list of authorized repair shops. They replaced a sensor and my car passed. They were very busy with other customers but were still able to get me in right away. I was very pleased with the service and felt that Leon was a very knowledgeable and honest guy.
I went to the bank and when I left my car would not start. I went back in to ask for help and they told me about this shop nearby. I walked over and talked to Marlene, she was very helpful and had one of the guys at the shop walk over with a little jump starter. They drove my car back and tested the battery and found that it was not able to hold a charge. They had the battery there and they had my car fixed so fast I did not have to cancel my afternoon appointment. I am so glad they were there when I needed car help.
This was the last place to touch my car to do my coolant. A few months down the road getting a simple oil change somewhere else, the mechanic showed me evidence of NO COOLANT but just STRAIGHT WATER inside instead! Ive gone to Kent Auto before and nicely asked them over the phone why they might think my engine light came on days after I left their shop. The guy was not nice and got immediately defensive so I didnt bother. Took my car elsewhere. Maybe he was having a bad day?
They take great care of my elderly vehicle. Lately the mechanism on the tailgate ceased to function. It took a few tries but they got it fixed. This wasnt simple, this is the tailgate to an Envoy XUV, which GM doesnt make anymore. The tailgate drops down or swings out depending on which pad you depress. It hasnt worked in a few years and they fixed it for me and went out of their way to get it done.I wont take my vehicle anywhere else.
Close by and convenient, on par with dealership or other shops. The warranty here are usually better than other places. They have their own towing truck and wave the fee if you have them work on your vehicle. Ive been here a few times with 3 different vehicles and never had issues they wont fix or honor their warranty.Only downside is their driveway is small and a little awkward to get in and out of. No loaner vehicle available either. Those 2 reasons is why I did not give 5 stars.
Second time Ive had my car in - this time was for a bigger 100k+ check up along with oil change. Previous was oil change and A/C repair. Always great service, reasonable prices, and a pleasant experience.
This is the place to go for Air Conditioning. I drove in and asked how long before they could fix my cars A/C. Leon said he would look at it right away. He found a leak and it needed a new relay, he had the parts there and was able to fix it right away. I was very pleased as I am going to Pasco this weekend and it will be hot over there

If this review saves someone from doing business with Kent Auto Repair then I will be grateful. I took my girlfriends car to this place months ago to get the head gasket replaced. The pick up date kept getting pushed up but finally I got the car back. I couldnt leave however because the steering wheel wasnt moving. Apparently the power steering pump was broken now. My cousin fixed it. The engine then started having multiple problems. I talked to the owner and he said they would look at the car again. After bringing the car back I never saw the owner again. Instead there was some new guy that started running the office. I tried to get in contact with the owner but was told that I could only talk to this new guy I had never seen before. This guy was rude, offensive, and horrible in every way. I never experience such poor service before. Even if they were not responsible for the problems the car had after the repair, the type of customer service they provided makes me question why this place is still in business. Please dont take your car here.P.S they also told me that the man working on my girlfriends car was fired for being sketchy in the middle of the repair.
Stay away!!! they dont stand behind their work.......If they had a zero star rating they would get it. A/C was not cold when I bought the car. brought it to these guys who informed me it was a faulty seal and that for roughly $300 they could fix it. it was extra comforting because they said if it starts blowing warm again this season, come back and we will fix it. so, I let them do the work. when I picked it up, sure enough ice cold A/C! I was very satisfied and thought I had found my new repair shop. but about 2 months later the A/C got warm again and the compressor was making a god awful sound. I said to myself no problem, I have their warranty. set up an appointment with them, but when I brought it in I was treated like crap. apparently because I had a problem with their repair? I was asked how many days can we have the car? I informed them I cant be without my car for days. especially because when I made the appointment they said they would be able to get me right in. they said they were very busy but they would try to look at it that day. A couple of hours later I get a call and they tell me that there is still refrigerant in the system so there was no problem with the repair that they previously did (surprise,suprise) they proceeded to quote me $1600 for parts and labor to fix the issue. I said no thanks. I took the car and drove straight to an A/C specialty shop where they informed not only was there no refrigerant in the system, but that the refrigerant has lubrication for the compressor and that the leak from the previous repair at kent auto caused the compressor to seize up and the rest of the system to be ultimately contaminated. long story short, I ended up having to buy a compressor, receiver/dryer and a condenser plus all of the labor which the A/C shop did for $1300. I would stay away from these guys. their prices are good, which was the attraction for me. but this is definitely one case where you get what you pay for. They are nice people when they dont have your business, but as soon as you pay and have an issue youre on the back burner.

Got tricked into working there, i quit in 2 days and returned back to my old shop for more money. Fools. Fixed a bunch of mess ups and never got paid. Pays his techs illegally. I ran out quick and pissed. Told him he was an idiot. Awful racist disgusting owner. Really bad mechanics only would work there But if your the owner... Everyone is wrong, he is perfect, what a fool. Check out his responses to people, no respect. Just a thief. BTW he lives next door if you have a problem. The shop is on its last legs. Check out the fools responses to people... need i say more.
First of all i meant to put zero stars. I took in my truck to get it fixed. And it turns out that they went through all my stuff. Taking the cash i had in my car, and most importantly a gold chain with a cross that had great significance to me. When i confronted them about it they denied it even tho i had left that in the car and i saw grease finger prints on all my paper work. I was never able to recover anything. I am just telling my story to make sure everyone know not to leave personal belongings in their cars!!!!!!!!!!!!
STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!Having recently moved into the area I found this repair shop on yelp. In 4 visits for a check engine/cruise light I was charged almost $2000 for repairs that did not solve my car problems at all. After the 4th visit the warning lights came back on in less then 12 hours. I called the shop again. Someone I had never dealt with claiming to be the owner told me he just fire all his employees for stealing from him. When I attempted to seek a refund the owner became hostile towards me. He threatened me with a criminal lawsuit claiming I was working with his fired employees. I was never shown any parts that could be proven to be from my car. I took my car to another place the fixed the problem in 1 visit for $440. The 2nd shop found Kent Auto had marked up parts more then 150% and also wrote a letter helping me dispute the Kent Auto charges with my credit card resulting in a full refund. I have filed a complaint with the city if Kent and the BBB.

I brought my car here because it was in the area i work. They did fix the car well and efficiently. One thing I like is that they showed me the broken parts that they had extracted from the vehicle instead of just telling me what was broken. I would use them again.

Two vehicles with engine lights on. Took in the first one, they diagnosed it, gave me the estimate, explained the issue and fixed it. Had the Journey back within a few hours.Took in the 2nd vehicle and knew the issue was emission related, and we were due for the emission test. Got the issue repaired and they took the time to explain the testing, how I needed to go through 6 engine cycles before it would pass, etc. They had me run through the engine cycles, return, and theyd make sure the OBD was cleared out for the test, at no cost.Prices were reasonable, got in quickly and resolved fast, answered all my questions about the Emission Test (even over the phone), etc. Ill go back.
My 2000 Ford Contour needed a new fuel pump. Got a quote from the owner and it was cheaper than other quotes from different repair shops in the area. Towed the car to this place and gave them plenty of time to replace the fuel pump. Couple of days later, they called to say it was ready to go. Paid $776.43 and on my way home. Less than 3 miles on the road, the car died. They were kind enough to tow the car back to their shop and replaced the battery cable, thinking the battery connection was to blame. When it was ready to go, free of charge, I took that car back. Guess what? In less of a block, it died again. This time, with a better judgement, I had the car towed to the shop we normally did business with. Their diagnosis was that the fuel pump was bad. After they replaced the fuel pump with an OEM one, its been running great. Since Kent Auto Repair Shop couldnt fix the car, we thought it was fair if they would refund part of the $776.43. No way! They bluntly refused. For us it was okay, they tried and spent time working and money on parts. They need money to run the business and keep their mechanics too. But I wouldnt take my car to his place again, wasting my money, my time, and their time.
I went in to this repair shop to have emissions work done for vehicle licensing. The work was done as requested. Prior to picking my car up they told me I had been a qt low on oil so they had added some. Good. Two days later my oil light came on along with an alarm sound and my engine began to clatter loudly.I was on my way home from an errand and drove directly back to Kent Auto Repair to have it checked out.The next day I was told that my car had no oil pressure at all, that they would have to tear the engine completely apart and on a car that old they would certainly find problem after problem and that it would cost much more to fix the car than it is worth. Then they offered to see about getting an inexpensive engine to replace mine. I said that I would speak with my own regular mechanic about it and took my car home.It took a few days to catch up with my regular mechanic and his shop is located a distance from my home. When I did talk with (on the phone, he figured this out without even seeing the car) him he said that it was either the oil pump or a clogged up oil filter. I got my oil and filter changed and the light is off, the noise is gone and my car is running great.When I brought this to the attention of the folks running Kent Auto Repair I was met with disbelief for the most part and was not given any explanation as to how they could overlook something so simple. I have asked to speak to the owner, he refuses to call me. Instead he had a manager call who, by her own admission, is not knowledgeable about car repairs. She told me that after the emissions work was they saw water in my oil and that is was so bad they were afraid for me to drive the car. This was not ever conveyed to me, only that they had added oil. When asked how they determined there was water in the oil she told me they looked at it. When I questioned how they did that she said they tested it. I asked to see the results of the test and she told me she didnt really know if they tested it. Then I asked why when I brought it in with an obvious oil problem they didnt take care of that first when they supposedly knew my oil was so bad. She is unable to answer. I asked why they didnt mention it could be the oil pump. Unable to answer. I nearly sent my car to the scrap yard when all I needed was an oil change. By the way, there wasnt any water in the oil. Bottom line is the customer service here is terrible and I think their credibility is questionable.
I am in need of a similar type service to pass my vehicle through emissions. In honesty, I was going to use you guys until I read your response to a customers bad review. While your response makes sense and seems justified, what isnt is your tone. Regardless of whether or not this customer was right, you never apologized for their experience, you publicly (via the web) accuse the customer of requesting fraudulent assistance and clearly have no intentions on having this customer return. In light of that I will be spending my money elsewhere. Remember who keeps you in business before you fire back. LOOK AT THE PRINT SCREEN IMAGE OF THE OWNERS RESPONSE TO MY COMMENT...
I had a great experience taking my car to this shop, everyone was very friendly and helpful with explaining what was wrong with my car. They had my car in and out and I havent had any issues since.
To clarify our last review there was never a question about or expectancy on our end of free work. We actually called for an estimate, very normal, which you failed to give until we called back the next day. You said Labor is $108/hr and we are fully aware of that as we have paid several hours and few thousands of dollars for the work done on our 1964 Impala as well as our Suburban. If we needed a hand out you would definitely not be first draft go to shop. Your tow charged us $80 to move our Impala less than 1/2 mile because my husband was away to let me know that you can charge by the mile if located so close in proximity instead of a flat rate. Then your kindness showed. You & the man you discussed work woth today or yesterday, if that did occur, just didnt want to do the work that was asked of because it was not very costly or lengthy enough of a job. It wouldve been very appropriate to set a minimum limit if that is one of your policies and I couldve accommodated that. However, you said it is AC season and in so few words, could get more money from those. As far as employees go, we should have said the office workers Jason and the three gentlemen after him. The mechanics at this location were very nice and seemed to be knowledgeable but we did have issues when our brakes and rotars were replaced, which they gladly fixed after we brought my truck back. Like we said previously, weve had good and bad experiences at your shop but the bad outweighed our good experience. As a business owner take it very personally and grow instead of insult people for their reviews. If you re-read through your reviews and reponses and self evaluate your attitude and pride in work and customer service then maybe you may be able to have another successful 25 years with good clientele and regular business. Anyone can get over on people and employees. If you want awesome reviews it is imperative you provide excellent service. Take care & best wishes. Horrible customer service! Weve had ups and downs as far as work goes with our vehicles at this shop. All work weas done correctly once out of the several times we have been. Going against our gut, because this location is close by, we have stuck with their shop. Lesson well learned. Every other time we went in there was someone else complaining about the work that was done incorrectly. They never have the same employees. One employee who was under the influence proceeded to elaborate on how the other was on meth and stealing from the owner and let go. We called yesterday to get an estimate on engine mounts or tightening if possible and was told by the owner that we were to expect a call back. This never happened. Today calling on a follow up the owners wife hung up on me saying theres no time or bays for the work but they can diagnose my vehicles any time. I was asking how if there is no room and she told me to go somewhere else. We will never take our business there again! We have given them a great amount of business between all 3 vehicles and referrals but never again. Thank you for showing me what I already knew about coming here just because it was in a convenient location.
I was charged $90 to have them tell me my new spark plug wires were causing my car to hesitate on acceleration. I discovered on my own that it was a bad injector. Have never taken my car back. .....This is not a fake review. They insisted my recently replaced plug wires were bad and turned out to be bad injector.
I WILL NEVER TAKE MY VEHICLES TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!. I just paid $475 for a tank of gas in my Ford F-250. The so called certified master diesel mechanic ran an extensive diagnosis on why my truck was running rough and losing power. 3 hours later under the hood they came to the conclusion that I had no fuel in my tank.I asked the mechanic if he has come across this exact scenario before and he said many times.So in my mind I ask why not just add 3-5 gallons of fuel in the tank before running the expensive diagnosis if this problem has previously existed.I felt cheated and was taken advantage of.In addition, apon picking up my truck the cap on my shifter was missing and the hood was covered with needles and leaves.Not my idea to represent a business to customers.

We took our sons car to Kent Auto Center to diagnose an emission problem so as we could get a waiver. The day my wife and son arrived via appointment they got out of the car and all of a sudden a person came out of the shop screaming and yelling to anyone about how slammed or busy they were and basically having a meltdown about how many people were waiting to get seen. If I was there I would have left at that point but my wife stayed the course and gave them the keys. Come to find out it was the owner that was doing this. It took three days for them to just fix one of the problems so the car was there longer than it should have been. Things seemed fine and we paid our bill and left with the car. The next day while on the freeway the car just up and died going 60 miles an hour and proceeded to get worse and would not keep running. Being that this seemed to be something possibly that went wrong with the fix we called Kent Auto Center for help while stranded in a parking lot with a non-running car. They IMMEDIATELY GOT DEFENSIVE and rude and stated that this had nothing to do with what they did but stated that if we got it there they would take a look. So when we got to Kent Auto Center we tried to explain what was wrong and even showed him but the owner just continued to be defensive and rude and say that he had nothing to do with what was wrong with it.Once we realized that we just wasn’t going to get anywhere with this place we decided to leave with some choice comments to the owner like this place is a joke. That’s when this owner ripped off his jacket and wanted to fist fight me. He got in my wife’s face yelling and screaming called out his workers to gang up on my wife and son and I. This owner literally wanted to start a brawl yelling and using profanity. Once this person yelled about going to get a gun we decided to get the hell out of there. This owner of this shop acted and I am not saying this is the fact but acted like a person on methamphetamines and was all over the place with his actions. I only say this because I have seen how these people act first hand and it was very similar. So I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone unless you are prepared for possibly a physical fight and a lot of stress. OH and defiantly do not take their reviews on their website with any significance. Those more than likely were fabricated…..
If your in a bind go here but for quality work find some were else i worked here glad im gone owner is a fake jason will rip you off ive seen it first hand. Did heads on a blue sport track that did not need them did heads on Cadillac that did not need them jason will sell you parts you dont need

Im conflicted writing this review, because they do a great job from a mechanical sense. Leons not the most personable of people, and can come off a little rough around the edges on first impression, but Ive never been let down by the work hes done, and when hes not busy hes a good conversation. However, I have been burned by their communication a few times. I brought my truck to them 3 weeks ago to check it out before driving cross country and to fix my overdrive shaft, and was told earlier in the week that it would only take about 30 minutes to an hour. Based onon the estimate I dropped it off 9am on Saturday and finally at around 3pm I received a call that they would be closing and that I would be able to pick up my truck on Monday. Thankfully, he was able to meet with meme on Sunday so I could get my truck back, and he explained that the part for the overdrive shift had to be special ordered, which was the reason for the lateness. Otherwise the a/c was in need of a recharge and everything else was fine.I scheduled a second appointment to recharge the a/c for the next Saturday and also replace the overdrive shaft, and again was told it would be an in and out deal. I dropped the truck off at 9am and ended upup waiting around until 12:30 before getting a call letting me know thatthat the overdrive part never showed up and that I would have to come back again the next week to get that finished. If he would have called me earlier about the issue I would have rescheduled everything for the next week without a problem. Instead, I had to spend my second straight Saturday moping around Safeway.This is the third straight week Ive been sitting in Safeway. Again, I dropped the truck off at 9 and again I wont have it back until after noon. I have no doubt that in their ability, because ive found no problem with the work they do, but Ill have some hesitation bringing it back again unless I know I wont be doing anything for the rest of the day. Highest praise on the mechanical work, but communication leaves a little to be desired. Id definitely recommend them.
This place is The most expensive place i have ever been to in kent!!!! THEY OVER CHARGE MORE THEN ANY OTHER MECHANICS IN KENT!!!! please STAY AWAY from this place
