I would NOT recommend anyone shop at this dealership!Im convinced that this dealership doesnt trust its customers. I am looking for an entry level 16 year old car for my 16 year old driver (definitely not a top end purchase). They had a car that we were ready to buy...CASH. All I wanted was to take it to my personal mechanic who works on ALL my cars (I trust him like I trust my Doctor). Anthony (who must be the Manager of Sales Prevention) would not let this happen. Said it was against the dealership policy. He said I could take it to any mechanic within 10 miles, but not the 27 miles to my mechanic. When asked how he would be able to control this, he said they would put a tracking device in the car. Anthony must be hiding something on this car. I wanted to do this because in 2020 we purchased a starter car (at this same dealership) for my daughter (same low end purchase) and didnt take it to my mechanic. Within 3 months, needed to replace the starter as well as the AC Compressor. My mechanic would have spotted this. So, thats why I wanted to do it this time. Not to mention, we have been to at least 4 dealerships looking. NOT ONE required a picture of my insurance as well as all the coverages (including my deductible). Ive no problem with this, but it sure did set the tone out of the box.Anthony, Manager of Sales Prevention at Don Joseph...Employee of the Month! General Manager of the dealership, Anthony needs a promotion! He single handedly prevented a sale by not working with a customer. He probably knows there is something wrong with this car and didnt want a real mechanic to identify it.Shameful.

I now go here every time I need an oil change. I used to go to valvoline but they could never seem to figure out how my car works and they were over priced. The employees at Don Joseph Toyota are always extremely nice and helpful, plus they are definitely more reasonably price. Another great thing about coming here is that they are always quick and get the job done wonderfully. I could not recommend this place enough, make sure you ask for Dan because he is absolutely amazing.

On July 20 called the dealer about fixing my 2013 Toyota Sienna to them what i was looking to do and parts guy said may want to talk to service. Talked with service they told me to stop by today July 24. Was told they were only looking to order parts to fix a warranty item witch i didnt know was covered outside of our warranty that expired. As were waiting me and my youngest Dan Varnes came out with great news that the parts happened to be there to fix the issue. I recently traded in my 2020 Tundra and it took about 3 weeks of downsizing to regret my decision. I looked into switching to a different brand because I wanted to experience something new. I looked into buying a Ram, Ford and Chevy and had nothing but issues trying to buy one. Every dealer I spoke with lied and played games with pricing and did not want to make a effort on there end to try and make a deal. After about 2 weeks shopping around I simply made a phone call to Don Joseph, and was given the best price available and what I also believed was a fair price. I did not have to fight or go back and fourth with a salesmen and was able to do everything over the phone and saved a tremendous amount of time. The sales manager Anthony was awesome to work with, made everything very very easy. His entire team was great as well. I live 5 minutes from my local Toyota dealer and yet I still choose to drive 45 minutes out of the way because of the service you get from Don Joseph Toyota. Looking for a certain used car with certain particular features and price when we called Don Joseph and talked to Bill. He didnt have anything on the lot at the moment but he offered to keep his eyes open. I took him up on the offer. Within a couple of days he called with the perfect car. Service scams, make sure you look at the service you asked for and check to make sure it was done. I brought this to the attention of Jess Joseph, and she only offered an apology/refund for that visit. For the past two years, I was told that the maintenance in my Toyota Maintenance log was being completed. They stamped and initialed my book, yet the invoices/workorders dont match the items in my log. After checking underneath my vehicle, my grease points were so dry, that old grease was non existent. My cabin air filter never changed, this is an easy one. Right in your glove box. Tires not rotated, usually you can see hand prints on the rims. 2 Years of maintenance that was suppose to be performed to uphold my power train warranty were pencil whipped. If you scam and fraud one customer, you are probably scamming more. Even windshield wiper fluid, they never fill. Buyer beware.The service advisers are nice and have great smiles.

After my 2017 Rav4 was totaled I was in the market for a replacement. I looked around at all the local dealers and ended up buying a one from Don Joseph. This was literally my best car buying experience ever. Tiffany provided me a very competitive price quote, Steven handled the sale, and Dale was great with all the paperwork. Went in just for a test drive. Justin Young was very helpful. No high pressure sales, he actually showed us a trim line that was less expensive than what we originally looked at because it had all our must haves without the extras.

STAY AWAY.Went in to look at a used car which was listed as a mid level trim. The vehicle was not the trim level as advertised or priced and was an entry level trim. After calling them out on it, they reduced the online price to the price on the actual sticker on the vehicle. After deciding not to do business with them due to this, they decided to run my credit ten days later without my consent or permission.DO NOT do business. Very shady business practices.

I went in to hopefully purchase my first brand new car not expecting to. Tom Powers was amazing and made sure every step of the way that I was comfortable and wanted to continue the process. They were fair on my trade and explained every number to me. Finance made sure i got the lowest rate they could get me without me having to ask if they could do better. Don Joseph’s service is amazing AGAIN! This is the second vehicle I have bought from Don Joseph. (2 since 2006. I keep my vehicles a long time) The car salesmen have both been great. But the service I receive is amazing! I scheduled a routine oil change today. During my service inspection that they do routinely when I come in, I was informed that I needed new brakes. Honestly, I didn’t notice they were not working that well. But afterwards, what a difference. Honestly, I am NOT a car person. I am so thankful that I can count on Don Joseph to take care of things BEFORE they become a problem. Their service department truly is peace of mind for me!! Thank you John Blazsik!

After 3 months of searching and test driving cars I found Zach at Don Joseph. He was sincere, informative and trust worthy. His customer service and response time was amazing. Never come without an appointment. Under staffed. Dont bother with warranty unless you dont mine making the trip back for cancelation if you sell or trade your vehicle in. Take your vehicle for an inspection if buying used I purchased 2016 mkz and the moon roof is off track. Purchased when it was snowing, didnt check for until next day and was to late.

I came in here with my only intention being to take a look at the Tacoma, but after sitting down with someone to talk about numbers (I was referred via the Costco auto program), the salesman, Ryan, I discovered that I could actually afford a lease on a new truck. The whole team at DJT was honest and they shot straight about a trade-in without givung me a run around. I did not end up trading in and opted for a private sale but they were honest about valuing my trade and I appreciate that much more that the old well its worth this...but needs xyz so surprise the price is cut in half! nonsense I got from the local Nissan guys. Ryan was informative and knew his stuff about the Tacoma, and was very receptive to the fact that I needed a 6 speed in my truck. He never tried to get me to settle for an auto (other dealers have) and the dealer located me a vehicle that matched what I wanted. No hassle for me. I will gladly come back and I will happily refer my friends and family (especially those who prefer three pedals over two)!

I stopped in yesterday and the sales person did not have the courtesy to even listen to me. he was TERRIBLE. he was so interested in telling me about the car he sold . all he cared about was himself. Unlike the sales department, the service department is awesome! They really care about their customers and I appreciate it. If only the service at the front of the building was as excellent as the service in back! My advice- get your vehicle serviced at DJ Toyota always! But purchase your vehicle elsewhere.

We had called in with a question in looking for a particular vehicle and connected with Gary Schultz. He was the great and worked with me on getting number on the cars I was interested in. Then I was able to make a decision based on what I wanted the most in a vehicle without feeling pressure to do so.The dealership itself was also great, everyone was nice and welcoming. Additionally, everything was quick and easy during the purchasing process. Ashley Williams did my paperwork and she was great too! I told Gary what I was quoted from other dealers for my trade, and gave me the most money for it than I was previously quoted with a deal Im happy with for my new car. Great experience! I am currently test driving a few top choice vehicles 2 decide what my next newer purchase will be. On the same day, I test drove a new Mazda CX 5 & a Jeep Cheerokee 4 cylinder turbo charge. Loved both.Both dealers just copied my license & off I drove.My 3rd stop was Toyota in Kent. I was not able 2 test drive a vehicle. I showed proof of insurance, no other dealer even asked. Since my current ins card did not say full coverage which I do have, I was unable 2 test drive! It is the dealerships responsibility 2 cover their vehicles, Not mine.I will go to the Akron Toyota dealer now 2 test drive. I wont bother 2 return to the Kent dealer for services either, lost my business.

I went to Don Joseph Toyota to buy a 2019 Tacoma and my experience was so terrible that I felt I needed to share the details in hopes that I could somehow help someone else avoid making a big mistake.I negotiated a price of $34469 which is a decent price to pay per nadaguides. After signing I proceeded to inspect the vehicle closely for any damages, which I found rather quickly as you can see from the pictures (rear driver’s side and front bumper on both sides. It appeared as if the vehicle had been driven through a field. When I pointed these scratches out to the salesman, he called in the technician to try and buff them out. Which did not work because they were deep into the paint. Now here is where the situation begins to get shady. The salesman calls in his manager who tries to get me to take possession of the truck anyway. He does not offer any discount nor does he offer to repair the damage.Instead he tries to convince me the reasons that I should take the truck anyway are:* Black vehicles always show scratches under certain light even fromthe factory* Within a month I’m going to have scratches and chip marks in thepaint anywayAfter I asked for a discount, these are the reasons that he refused:* Because they are already taking a loss on the vehicle. (They tradedthis from another dealer so I guess its my fault that they didn’t inspectit as well as I did)* I was already given a discount (I don’t quite understand this one. Didhe mean that my negotiated fair price was a discount?)He finally tried to offer me:* An extra year of maintenance (What would that be? Two oil changesmaybe? Since I do my own maybe $30 each?)* He offered to give me the xzilon treatment for free (I guess this wouldprotect it from scratches… I think I heard Alanis Morissette singing“Ironic” either in the shop or my head, I’m not sure)He also acted as if I were the only one seeing the scratches. I pointed to the one in the first pic and he said “That’s part of the molding”. I said “No, the scratch above”. He said “That’s part of the molding”. I was getting perturbed at this point and my sarcasm kicked in… I said, “Do you see this molding line that you are talking about?... NOT THAT - I mean the scratches about a finger’s breadth above it. He then saw them.He finally said that I could wait until Monday for his painter to look at it, but, promised me nothing…It was time for me to walk.I wonder what they will do with that 2019 Tacoma Sport access cab (I’m not sure if it’s legal to share the vin number) I hope they don’t try to hide the damage from someone else...This story has a happy ending though. I found the same truck at another dealer (without any scratches of course - imagine that) and when I told them my experience at Don Joseph I got it for a little less $ and received a slightly lower interest rate.If you decide to shop here, make sure you inspect the vehicle closely. And remember, you are not required to take possession of a damaged product - even if you have already signed the contract and gone through the loan process.

I needed to get my Toyota Prius repair after someone ran into me. The insurance company took my car to a Chevy Shop and it was still not running correctly. I took it to Don Joseph and they immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They were thorough. They even reached out to the insurance company to explain what the other shop had missed and were very fairly priced. I will definitely go back!

She greeted me with a genuine smile and it took only minutes before I knew that she was going to be helpful. Growing up we never went to the dealer for service. Don Joseph Toyota is starting to slowly change that mentality for me. My father in law has always had excellent service and recommended them when I moved to the area. Overall, I have been pretty satisfied. I called all over the place and was surprised to learn they had the best deal on tires. I remember my Mazda dealership always tried to charge me 80 dollars for a simple air filter change. Don Joseph only charges you for the filter...not for labor...which takes it down into the 20 dollar range. Now...I buy mine off brand online and change them myself for 10... but it still increases my confidence in them to know I’m not being absolutely gouged in my other transactions with them.I have had 2 minor negative interactions...but Cassandra called me and fixed both situations so that they became positives. She displayed excellent professionalism even with someone like me who is unfortunately not always the nicest to deal with when I feel I have been wronged. I would now recommend Don Joseph to you.

I had an excellent experience purchasing a vehicle from Don Joseph last year, and a great experience recently visiting only to get some information on another vehicle for someone else. The staff is not pushy like most dealerships. If you are there only to do research they wont try to push you into walking out with a new car. I was just about ready to go to yet another Buy Here/Pay Here when I called Don Joseph.Trying to purchase my latest vehicle was the equivalent of trying to catch a leprechaun. I had tried multiple other Toyota Dealerships and found that either their products or service altogether was subpar. That being said, when I called DJ, my suspicions had been correct and my bad luck only ensued as the car I wanted had been traded and sold when I was just packing up my bags to go purchase it from a dealership in Cincinnati.Now normally, this would be the part where one admits defeat, throws in the towel, and compromises. But normally, people do not have a salesman like Bill Handschumaker. As aforementioned, the car I was chasing after had been sold. There was nothing exactly like it for hundreds of miles and so I was just about ready to consider other vehicles when Bill gave me his word that he would call around and see if he could get one traded into his dealership. My expectations were beyond low. Low and behold, he found the car I was requesting in an even better set up that included everything I was hoping for!It took about three days to get it in their possession and cleaned up (personally, I thought this turn around was rather quick but DJ apologized for the delay as it was the 4th of July weekend when I initiated my purchase). Once I was finally able to pick it up (Bill even offered to personally deliver it to me for my convenience as my work schedule made driving out to DJ a bit of a hassle), I was in awe. The vehicle was absolutely flawless thanks to Bill and all of the DJ associates.Bill made finding the car simple, filling out the paperwork a piece of cake, and he had the utmost patience with my hectic schedule that caused a few complications with the vehicles delivery. All in all, I have absolutely NO complaints with DJ. They accomplished in three days what I had been trying to do with two other Toyota Dealerships over the course of a month. All I have left to say is thanks a million DJ and please ask for Bill Handschumaker the next time you are shopping for a vehicle at Don Joseph!

I travel 40 minutes to maintain my Prius at this dealership. Its well worth it. Friendly and helpful staff. Very reliable service, and they keep me well-informed in language I can understand. Very nice waiting room with free coffee. Usually my service is done more quickly than I would have thought.
