Went to this store for the first time to get a repair on the broken temple tip on a pair of glasses for an elderly person. The staff was very friendly and got to work immediately. Not only did they replace the broken one, but the other one too so the glasses would be good for a long time and for the most comfort. They did a great job and even cleaned the lenses. When I went to pay they said there was NO charge! I am impressed on how much the staff care, plus I was able to get the glasses back to the elderly person right away. Thank you, its very refreshing to run into a business like this.

Went to visionworks in Kenosha this morning because the glasses that I purchased almost 3 years ago from the Tinley Park IL. Visionworks broke and received no help from them at all. They basically accused me of not knowing how to take glasses off correctly so therefore I broke them. I wish I would have gotten her name. Awful customer service. Anyway Kenosha visionworks, Alicia was so helpful, found new frames for the glass, put them in, cleaned them up and charged me just for the new frame. I was so surprised that someone would go the extra mile. She was great. If youre in Illinois do NOT go to the Tinley Park visionworks. Awful experience. Pleasantly surprised about the Kenosha location which I have been to before and had been pleased with. THANK YOU Alicia

This store is truly amazing. Katy and Stephanie partnered to deliver truly outstanding service today! I had a pair of glasses that I purchased here in which the arm broke after less than a year of use. After searching for a replacement of the same frame was unsuccessful, they immediately offered me to pick new frames at no cost due to this defective frame! There was no hesitation in offering this to me and could see how desperate I was to be able to see and function normally. They even gave me tips on finding replacement parts for my old glasses so I can use them as emergency backup in the future. Don’t hesitate to come here with all your eye needs. Also they are a VSP preferred location so insurance acceptance for VSP customers is no issue. Great work guys! I’m very happy to share this, unfortunately rare today, situation of amazing customer service

I recently purchased glasses from Visionworks in Kenosha, and due to business by phone, there was a inadvertent error on my expectations as too what options that were ordered, that were discovered when I arrived to pick up my glasses. I was pleasantly surprised when the associate working with me, Allison Glover immediately offered to remake my glasses to meet my needs, she replaced the order and let me keep the original pair until the new ones arrived ! Service like this is highly unexpected, and I believe Allison should be commended for her integrity and willingness to satisfy the customer.

Scheduled weeks in advance to get a call the day before my appointment telling me they can’t honor my scheduled appointment and I should wait another month for the next appointment. After I already waited a month for my original. Great communication guys.

Quick and professional service

Despite being fairly busy (because it was Good Friday) the staff was friendly, efficient, and very helpful. From the moment I entered the location the steps that I went through were explained thoroughly making sure I didnt have any questions. I never felt rushed or like I was being sold on something. Dr. Toor was extremely pleasant and professional. He took the time to make sure I understood what was going on with my eyes and helped me to understand why its important to get an annual exam. Knowing that I would be looking for frames for working on the computer I was overwhelmed by the selection and didnt know where to start. Not understanding what I should be looking for in terms of shape or size I felt lost and was not finding anything I loved. Then came Michelle - she asked what I had looked at already and picked up two frames I hadnt looked at. The first ones were perfect - they complemented my face shape and style perfectly. She was extremely helpful when it came to determining what type of lens I needed and was able to explain what benefits I would receive from insurance before we finished up. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Sharon cost you three customers today. I went in to get a nose piece replaced (month old glasses) and was told I needed to make an appointment because of the number of people in the store. There were 3 customers in the store! I asked if I could wait outside until the two that were checking out left the store. Need to make an Appointment . Worst customer no service ever!. AND this is the same lady that failed to measure my face for the location of my astigmatism AFTER I asked her. I needed to return 2 pairs of glasses and was told one of those pairs couldnt be remade. Horrible horrible horrible. This lady is costing this location money! And customers. When I called to make an Appointment Justin offered to fix that for me.asap. thanks man!

Definitely would not recommend. I tried making 2 appointments with them and both times they canceled with me and I had already requested for those times with work. Tried calling back and it just kept ringing very unprofessional.

Had to come back and edit this review. My daughter and I just left from here for the second time this year. Both got two new pairs of glasses for such an amazingly low price. Every time we go the staff is always warm, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. I always leave visionworks with a good feeling and satisfied with my purchase. Can’t say enough about how great all the staff is!!

Had my best visit in the last years. Effie was amazing. She’s very informative. Really educated me on some scenarios in life that previous employees never mentioned. Effie really cares about the customer’s needs. A great listener. I also really liked Dr. Bosco’s approach to the eye examination. I highly recommended this location.

Great selection of glasses. Effie was amazing, if you need help picking out a cute pair of glasses, shes your lady! She didnt just try to sell me glasses like a lot of places, she helped me wean through glasses that looked bad and good. I recommend this place.

I had made an appointment the year prior, and unfortunately never went in. This year I went in with the intent on getting new glasses! I’m glad I did because the staff help me pick out a wide selection of glasses, and were extremely nice. I enjoyed having Dr. Bosco, and she was genuinely helpful the entire visit especially with all the questions I had! Michelle also was great with me and my daughter. Super nice, and welcoming! Ive been on HOLD since you opened at 9 am (38+ minutes) trying to reschedule my appointment.Im posting this while still on HOLD!!.But if no one is going to answer than maybe I should just go somewhere else.This is ridiculous because now yall will list me as a no show when I have tried to get in contact with you to reschedule the appointment.

Very happy with the service at Visionworks! Stephanie H went above and beyond to find me frames that I liked, flattered my face and worked for my budget. She also went over cost differences several times depending on which insurance benefits I used (contacts versus frames) so I got the best deal. Will definitely be back.

Yesterday was the fifth or sixth time Ive been to this Visionworks (not counting when I would go with my husband), and as usual the service was GREAT! Justin helped me, and he found the frames I wanted quickly, and then did the measurements, etc. quickly and efficiently while engaging in friendly chatter. I felt like I had made a new friend when I left. The whole experience lasted a bit more than 30 minutes!

Michelle was very pretty & nice knew what she was doing along with Mrs.basco!! Very funny & wanted to help my vision even better. & Lisa had good advice about my glasses gave me self-esteem about them on me!!! Overall a great business I loved it!

Will say that the staff are super nice...but would not bother with an appointment...they will change it...and then be running late...I (like many these days) am hyper scheduled and feel that if I schedule an appointment 5 weeks prior to the date...it should be honored...

Lisa was amazing! I had a big issue with my insurance when I needed to fill my new prescription. I spoke with my insurance company and was told Visionworks was not in network, even though I had just been there less than 2 months ago and it was accepted. She was able to clear everything up with my insurance company and still fill my prescription.

The doctor’s assistant Karlie was so patient and kind to my elderly father, she took her time and made sure he was comfortable and understood everything that was going on. I couldn’t be more thankful. The world needs more Karlies❤️

I made three appointments for my family and I, I arrived at the end of the first appointment due to a traffic accident. Which caused a delay getting there. When we walked in they told us they could only see two out of the three which was understandable. But then I asked could I be seen since no one was in the store at all besides my family and I the lady told me no. Keep in mind we’ve been going here for over three years.I said ok went to my car and called another place. The lady on the phone said she was surprised they wouldn’t take you as a walk in. Moving forward after my wife and son had an exam I told them let’s go, I’m not patronizing this store anymore.So when we get to the next place this store still had a hold on my benefits, and when the lady called the first thing out of the lady’s mouth was he had and appointment but he was late. What does that have to do with y’all releasing my benefits so they can be used elsewhere.Their level of pettiness is beyond me. I’d never use this location nor would I recommend it either. And turns out they were billing us using a higher tier so they could make more money by us paying more out of pocket. Stay away from this place, and if you have any problems with my review contact me directly!

The service I’ve received here has been top notch. From Dr. Basco taking her time to answer all my questions, to Shannon helping me pick out and adjust my frames, to Michelle walking me through my first set of contacts....all top notch! And, when I return for my follow ups they actually remember who I am! Highly recommend.

Went in to try and get my glasses to fit better since they were digging in to my nose. The worker didnt really take much of a look at my glasses, but said it was because they were too short and I needed ones that were 145 mm. Get home and realize that the glasses I currently have are 145 mm already. Just not a particularly helpful interaction.Also generally pretty long wait-times.

Staff could not see my name on an insurance card and denied me service. I filled out online forms where I provided the name and number of my insurance prior to my visit, but they did not verify them. At the desk, I asked if they could try calling my insurance, got ignored, and when wanting to call myself, was told my appointment window was up. The staff member helping me was not mean, in fact, she was very good at pretending to provide quality customer service, but I felt she got annoyed when she came across a problem she did not understand, was too lazy to do her job, or too embarrassed to admit to a supervisor that she needed assistance, and opted to lie to me in order to get out of having to resolve my issue. After my visit, I called my insurance provider, and within about five minutes received their confirmation that I am, indeed, covered. Im over it, but I am not going back, and I can only hope that the good people of Kenosha avenge me by going somewhere else for their optical needs.

WARNING!!! Be aware of flexible hinges metal shavings coming off of flexible hinges I had to bring a rare earth magnet in and reproduce the shavings by opening and closing the arms of the glasses and you can see the shavings coming off on your dark countertops one girl didnt believe it she thought thats not metal even though my magnet clearly picked up the little metal flakes off the countertop either she needs glasses herself or shes trying to pull one over on me that metal shavings can get in your eyes and cause blindness anybody having flexible hinges should return those hinges immediately especially if theyre on children.purchase 4 pairs of glasses I had to return to frames and cancel the other two even though they still came in and I was called into the store only to find out they were still the old flexible hinge frames that I originally picked out so I went home and waited for the other two to come in and one of them was in the wrong color this place cant get anything right and nose flexible hinges should have been recalled theres a lot of people out there getting little particles of metal in their eyes and they dont even know it but when you go to an MRI because youre in an accident or your child and they have flexible hinges I guarantee you if they dont x-ray their head first those little metal flakes are going to be ripped right through their freaking head and its going to make them blind ask any doctor Ive had several MRI and a cat-scan and they all asked me if I work with metal in the past and if I have they need to x-ray me first but if youre unconscious in a car accident they may not even do that I used a 91 lb neodymium rare-earth magnet to lift up these little metal flakes no regular magnet man-made refrigerator magnet will not reproduce this experiment you must have a very strong magnet because they only have a little tiny iron in this metal flakes. This is a 100% real review and experience my first time going to visionworks and my last! unfortunately it really doesnt matter who you go to because every single eye glass place in the world is owned by one man no matter what the name is on it Sears visionworks Shopko whatever Walmart Target one man owns every single eyeglass store in the world he just gave parts of it away supposedly to is uncle and family members because he was cornering the market and the governments dont let you do that we all know he still owns all of them and gets all the money I saw a whole episode on TV about this huge investigation done but they cant prove it because he technically gave ownership to family members you cant monopolize but he did and hes getting away with it he sets the prices against each other to make it look like youre getting a sale but youre really not look it up true story and so is my review!

Went to this location for the first time, and was treated with the upmost respect and very pleased with the outcome! I had told them that I was very price conscious and the associate Claudette was able to help me pick out the most appropriate frame and lenses within my price limit.

Their spring loaded frames have little shavings of metal coming off if you value your childrens life do not pick the spring loaded frames if you value your life or your childrens vision or your visit do not pick spring loaded frames they have a flaw metal to metal grinding every time you open and close the arms get an extremely strong magnet rare Earth magnet a 90 pound pulling force magnet like I have and you can see the results on a black surface open and close the arms over and over tap the glasses youll see a lot of stuff fall off

I had the best experience at Vision Works! I’d been going to Shopko for the last 10 years, and with it closing had to find another eyecare place. I am so happy I chose Vision Works. Dr. Toor and Michelle both provided excellent customer service and I left very happy with my experience.

Michelle and Dr. Basco helped me most recently with getting my new prescription and glasses. I havent had my prescription updated in two years, so its a big weight taken off my chest. Dr. Basco was able to help me decide between lenses that seemed like nothing changed when we were using both eyes but close either or to double check instead of just leaving it be. Michelle was very respectful when I had a side conversation with my friend who brought me while paying. She also answered any questions I had thoroughly.

The staff here is amazing! I got squeezed in the day, i dont even have an appointment and they were able to take me in.Also, the doctor is so nice, so professional. Not only they were able to accomodate me the same day, I got my glasses that same evening!!thank you so much. I will definitely come back!

I went in there to look at glasses. There was at least 2 women s the desk. One was on the phone. No one greeted me when I walked around so I started to look & try on frames. I looked over at the desk & 2 women were there. Still no acknowledgment of me. I kept trying on frames & looking in the mirrors. One employee walked by me a few times to go into the back. I tried on glasses from all the womens racks & some of the rotating display. I went from one end to the other trying them on. I was there a long time because I am pretty slow Im not sure but Ill bet I was there for an hour. Then I walked past the desk & out the door. No one even said good bye. No way will I get my glasses there. Obviously they dont want my money. No one from my family or my friends will go there either. I just dont get it. Im a very normal looking middle aged woman😊

I was well taken care of by Michelle and Dr Basco. Through and very helpful .I would refer anyone for eye care services with them.

According to Ann they do not have email capabilities to send their customers their prescription. Either you to have visit the shop or wait for it to come via post mail. Seriously? How can you honestly say you dont have email capabilities! Do they assume people are dumb? For this inconvenience alone, I would NOT recommend them. Very sad!Also, I was told that ordering through 1-800 Contacts is more expensive than ordering through Visionworks! NOT TRUE! I always use 1-800 Contacts and they have not charged me for shipping. I find it disheartening that they would try to trick their clients to using them for even simple things like ordering prescriptions. Why cheat/lie when it is super easy to verify such claims? Unbelievable!The doctor I saw was super! She was very kind and patient. And in general the staff are friendly and polite.But for crying out loud, you have to change this stupid policy if you want customers make repeat purchases!

I was there today because my glasses broke. I didnt buy them there though. I was helped by two girls and they went beyond to help me. The manager put this clear wrap on my glasses to hold them until I could afford new ones. I asked how much and they said no charge. I was very impressed and made an appointment for next month.

Went in and was met right away by a real friendly woman. She looked at me and picked out a set of glasses that fit perfectly. I was like how did you do that... i dont have insurance and its buy one get one free so that works out good. Im surprised by all the bad reviews. They have a ton of frames to pick from. I think its $50 or less for eye exam and eye glasses were $155. For two.

I came here for my annual eye exam. Staff had me in and out in under and hour without making me feel rushed. I was given assistance in picking out my frames. Staff were not at all pushy and did not try to pressure me into any specific frames. They were patient with me being indecisive between a couple different frames. The optometrist was very friendly as well!
