Came here to get a diagnostic on some knocking sounds in my Subaru, didnt know if I would get a quality diagnostic or not, but Im very satisfied. The staff was great and the mechanic went above and beyond to find the source of the sound which turned out to be a loose subframe mount. No more sounds as Im driving. Had a few things repaired on my BMW 325i. Diagnostics was fast and the repairs were finished sooner than expected. Pricing was also very reasonable. Would recommend to anybody.

After hearing loud noises, my fears of my transmission going bad were unwarranted. I called Cowlitz River Auto, 10 minutes later. I arrived, after test driving and putting the car up. It was found that parts of undercarriage was rusted and not held in place. Hence, the noise. Whole trip maybe 30 minutes and the best service, didnt even charge all the while. Highly recommend and will be back in future.

We recently had our 50,000 check up done and our brakes fixed. The work was done professionally and very thoroughly. The mechanic checked every alert and did a fantastic job on everything we needed work on. When I left the shop I could tell immediately the car was running better and brakes were spot on. (No more shudder at high speeds and breaking in stop and go traffic was unexpectedly better) The work was all done for a great price. I would recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

My husband has been to 2 different auto repair they said what was wrong with truck was tires, monthes later problem never stopped he heard about them on radio took it in knew right away what it was fixed it. Very honest, and really happy with the work they did !!!

I have a 95 Honda and did a slave and master cylinder swap for my clutch and lost my peddle. I couldnt figure out what when wrong and I was just done so I called this guy and he got it fixed and charged me for 30 minutes labor. I would highly recommend going here

The team at Cowlitz River Auto Repair went above and beyond with my experience. My vacation was cut short on a Friday 300 miles away from home. I was traveling thru Kelso when my transmission started to fail on me. I showed up on their doorstep on a Friday morning in desperate need of a mechanic to look over my car. Kable, head tech, was gracious enough to see my stressed situation and pulled a vehicle out to squeeze mine in for a quick diagnosis. Within an hour or so I learned that my transmission was done for.On the return trip back up to retrieve my car, I had to take an all day train on a Saturday due to Covid limitations with train and bus scheduling. Tim offered to go out of his way and shift his schedule around just so I wouldnt have to spend the money on a hotel room that evening. This was probably the best service I could have asked for all while dealing with my car being in another state for 2 weeks. This auto shop is highly knowledgeable and wont price gouge you on services. Thanks Cowlitz River Auto Repair!

Our 2004 sebring needed a water pump. Couldn,t find anybody that even wanted to touch it because of where it was located. took it to gab (mechanic) he got it done and done right. He also checked other things out on car (since I bought it at auction) and advised me of other issues on car which he also fixed. Great shop, friendly people. He is now doing my exhaust manifold gasket on my f-150 which no one wanted to touch also. Good job gab!!
