The folks at Bear Creek Firearms have a new loyal customer for life. I was impressed with their gunsmith. He took one look at my firearm and knew exactly what was needed to resolve my issue. This shop is definitely an A+ shop. Came in to do an FFL transfer to out of state and the guys in there were quick and prompt to help me get the process going even with a few other people in there. When I was all done, I was informed about all the services and parts of the industry they are involved in and they are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the firearm industry.Looking forward to going back to get my new scope mounted and all future services required.

Did an awesome job on my Glock 19x build(barrel order/swap and compensator add). super quick turnaround (24hrs) and also advised me on a common mistake made with FDE finish and milling. The staff, owner and dog were always receptive to me and any questions.no complaints

Happy with the quality and price of the upper I purchased! Shipping was extremely fast said it would ship in 14 business days and was in my hand in 5 days! Havent been able to go to the range with it yet but seems to be good quality for the price! Not expecting daniel defense quality for a quarter of the price tho! Should be a good first upper for my 16 year old to start with before we dive into a $2000 plus rifle for him!!!

Just found this store a few weeks ago. Seemed like a nice place with knowledgeable people running it. Bought a few low-end items over a few visits. I asked about a preowned item that was missing all its accessories and was quoted $500. After thinking about it a few days, I returned today to buy the item and spoke to a different (younger) person. This person quoted $800!!! I explained that I was already told $500 and that a new although discontinued version was only $650. The employee got a little lippy and said good luck finding one. I will never return to this location.

Wanted to support my local gun store, but was met with very rude customer service. My gun was not ready in the 2-3 day time frame that I was told it would be. Also when i got home to inspect my gun the case was filled with dog hair from the dog that they have in the store and dust. Not a clean shop at all. Will keep using Euless Guns and Ammo

Older, big build, grey haired man there is a not a very friendly guy. Absolutely rude! You can tell that his employees are tense when he’s there. Honestly seems like he has a big ego and likes to intimidate other men. My husband is tolerant with this type of behavior, thankfully. He’s an Army vet. I am not. Glad I wasn’t there for it. That disrespectful SOB needs some work on his customer service skills! All the other employees there are help and very nice.

If u take a gun to be looked at. They keep it and say its fine. My shot gun kept jamming. Said it worked fine. Wrong dove hunt it jammed every 6th shell. Not happy. U need to go to shoot smart gun smith.

My wife and I purchased guns for home defense there yesterday. We have extremely limited experience and knowledge of firearms. They were very knowledgeable and took their time answering all of our questions even though they were very busy. They were very honest with telling us what accessories we could get cheaper online as well. And they said to come back with any questions at any time. I would highly recommend this store. Especially for someone making their first purchase.

I have been to bear creek firearms multiple times now and have never experienced anything but excellent customer service. They replaced one of my Glock triggers and not only did a great job, but completed the job exactly as promised by the date promised. These guys are great! I wanted home protection so I went to Bear Creek Arms. The gentleman behind the counter, I believe his name was Scott, couldn’t have been more helpful. I was honest and told him I knew zero about guns and he spent at least an hour with me. I left with a Glock 9mm and feel that I made the right choice after speaking with Scott. If you want a bike or gym shorts, go to Academy. If you want something as important as a gun, go to Bear Creek. I’ll be back next month for a gun safety class. I highly recommend Bear Creek Arms.

I had called looking for an FFL dealer to have a rifle I found online at a good price sent to Bear Creek. Pretty sure I was speaking with the owner and he said he could get the rifle I was looking at for the same price I would pay after out of state taxes and shipping. I decided to look the company up and try to find out a little about Bear Creek Firearms and after reading the reviews which was around 50-50 good and bad I felt like a lot of the bad sounded like gun haters trying to put somebody out of business. I decided to go by and check them out since they are close to where I work.I walked in on a Saturday morning met the owner that I had talked to on the phone, he found the rifle I wanted said it would take 3 to 4 days to come in so I paid the man filled out the paperwork shook his hand and said have a good day. On the way out asked if he would check the trigger weight when it came in and when I went to pick it up one of the first things he said was triggers at 2-3/4 lbs. I did not judge the company by some hateful reviews and glad I didnt I got the rifle I wanted at a good price without any drama . Give the small business man a chance he will appreciate you coming in more than a big box store.

Recently bought a new Sig from them and couldn’t be happier. Gave me fair $ on my trade-ins and got the firearm $200 under suggested retail price. I’ve had a few minor gun smithing jobs done there over the last 2 years and have always been satisfied.The main guy is very knowledgeable and his employee I met was very friendly. The 30 or so minutes I was there we talked guns, football and they also let me check out their personal builds. Fantastic experience; don’t let the hole in the wall humble gun shop appearance fool you.

My go to NO BS local gun store when I need help on almost any issue. They will answer my many questions, are patient, and are always willing to help with my gun projects. Incredible breadth of knowledge and experience by the staff. Scott, the owner is a gun encyclopedia. If your only aim is to save money and get the cheapest price out there, dont bother with BCFA. You get your moneys worth with the relationship you build with the staff.

I have been by Bear Creek Firearms to have some gunsmith work done, and in each case the result has been very satisfactory. Scott is very knowledgeable and friendly. He has been willing to explain things, if you are willing to listen and learn. Time is money in his business, so he doesnt suffer fools gladly, but thats OK with me. Its great to have an excellent shop like his in North Tarrant County.

This place is so good. You can get a good deal in this shop. Employees and Boss have really good patients about customers. Although the boss looks not like a person who has patient. The boss has good humor. You will not feel boring during shopping.

POOR SERVICE!!! My father took a gun to them for repair. He told me they were extremely rude to him. I went with him to pick it up and sure enough they were rude to him right in front of me! I stepped in to tell them I couldn’t believe they would treat customers that way and they told me that I could leave. Unbelievable customer service! I highly recommend for everyone to avoid this place.

Youre an (expletive)! So says the owner, to me, in his store. I was going to discount the bill, but now Im not! -- He deep-cleaned a WWII family heirloom pistol without permission, then couldnt get the slide off to show me. He removed a stuck shell casing from my rifle, but when I asked to see the ejection in action, both he and the gun struggled. -- I paid, but not for services rendered. I paid, in full, to leave and never come back. For that privilege I would have gladly paid double.

I have used these guys in the past, and never really had any issues as far as products purchased or gunsmithing work done. Speaking for myself, and others in my group of gun owners. They are knowledgeable in certain things, and as with any business they also lack in certain areas. The reason I am not giving 5-Stars, is simply due to the customer service. The staff isn’t the most friendly(not all of them), and I’ve seen on a few occasions the way they treat people who are new and looking for advise / insight on firearms. Again, these guys are in a general sense knowledgeable and they do good work. I do hope they tighten up ship on how they treat customers! People trying to learn about guns, and the right to own and shoot them is a great thing! Patience and understanding among the staff is all this place needs! All in all, I would recommend BCF👍🏻

Wow, this was a very disappointing first experience. The guy who I assume is the owner (gray beard, rough voice), could have cared less about what I was or was not looking for in a purchase or a trade or requested training.I doubt very seriously he will care what I write in this review, but if I was treated this poorly on my first visit, I cannot imagine doing business with BCF in the future.

Once i was in a need of a quick fix for my gun, i ended up on this shop, owner and staff really try to help, in the end the repair was done i had no cash to pay, they offered me to come back later to pay, i was back a week after to pay down my debt, a nice place to step by, i truly recommend it!

Too cool for school. 3 months to engrave NFA info? I go in and theyre sitting on computer farting around. Poor attitude to boot. There is plenty of knowledge else where if you need assistance. If you already know your firearms, this is definitely not the place for you. Save your money and look elsewhere. Btw, owning a gun shop does not make you the coolest person in the world.

I went in for a gas block just moved to this area the owner was busy but still helped me that meant a lot Ill be a new regular for sure I from Louisiana good shops with respectable people are hard to come by

I came to meet friends nearby today and parked around the corner. When we walked to the sidewalk (since it was raining) men from this store came out yelling at us that we couldnt park in front of the store (which we were not). He seemed to be deliberately displaying his gun and we were alarmed. We returned to our car around the corner, and another man from his shop came and stood and stared at my child and I - it was very threatening. Meanwhile, there werent any customers trying to park in front of his store. There is nothing posted legally saying that the entire lot is for their store only (and I was told by another retail tenant in that same strip mall that ALL spots are shared between all the businesses there. I like to shoot as well and have nothing against others with guns, but have never had someone flaunting their weapon screaming at me, especially since I was with my child. Knowing they have owners or employees that are so temperamental and volatile, I will definitely not be shopping here for ammo in the future. Their FB page blocks reviews - that should be a huge warning sign that they are hiding something.

My Experience with this gun shop needless to say has been nothing but very unpleasant. About almost a year ago i talk to the owner and asked what the transfer fee was on a suppressor and he quote me $75 dollars so i told him i was having a suppressor transferred to him. Picked it up today and he charged me $100 i told him he quoted me $75 and he said no its always been $100. About a month ago he refused to give me the Serial number on my suppressor so i can call on the status of my paper work. What is the harm in giving me the serial number to something i paid for. Then he started questioning me on my guns on where they where made like i dont know my own firearms. Dont trust this shop and dont deal with them.

Extremely abhorrent behavior from staff.. Being temperamental and threatening violence, while legally permitted to carry a firearm (let alone sell one!) is dangerous and should be against the law. Would give 0 stars if I could, horrible people running this business.

Ill offer some perspective for people seeing these comments. I am a customer of bear creek firearms, and will continue to be, and couldnt be happier.... why? Because of the owner. He has always fixed any problem Ive had, and offered perfect solutions for anything involving my AR. Ive been to other gun shops... where I could do this or the problem may be this or that. No clear answer, no perfect solution. The owner of bear creek firearms knew immediately why my AR wasnt ejecting. Explained it to me, and told me what I need to do in the future. I also had a problem with my nightvision Infrared illuminator not lighting up a full field of view like it should. He suggested getting the illuminator further down the barrel of the gun. I would be able to accomplish this by doing 1 of 2 things. A larger rail build out (which I didnt have the money for) or a barrel mount. (Which was in my budget). A perfect solution.... that works..Sure he could order it for me, but even suggested amazon. Which made him no money. There is no guess work. The guy knows what hes talking about. My neighbor, who is a retired navy seal, has been a customer for years and feels the same way I do about this place.The best part of this place and the owner is that Im always in and out within minutes. Which is great because I value my time. He is blunt and to the point. Why? Because he has to be. To maximize the business time and money. They are always so busy and in demand because of this guy. Not in spite of him. So, if you would like your hand held while getting solutions offered for your firearm needs then go somewhere else. If you want the right answer and a perfect solution, go to bear creek firearms.

I had to read the other reviews before making my own assumption and the negative ones I read were exactly how I felt. The only reason I am giving this business a 2 star rating is because they did supply me with a part I needed.The first time I stepped foot into that store I was met with condescending remarks, negativity, and a very arrogant manner by the owner. Everyone else, the two other employees I saw, were nice I guess. When I asked questions it was more less a hassle for me to get an answer and it seemed like I was wasting his time. I told the owner some dimensions of my build and was told I was wrong combined with facial expressions of disgust. I continued to explain why I chose my build, parts, length, etc. and used facts directly from the main company sourcing their design. I was told I was wrong. So I said I would come back with my partial upper for more qualified information since I was apparently mislead and misguided by others.I came back and brought my upper with me and showed the owner the dimensions, the dimensions that could not have been true by his standards. Also I did my research about the company who originally designed my build and their dimensions bringing that proof with me as well. I got a look of confusion and waited for the excuses. And here it came. I started listening to a barrage of reasoning and also told it would only work like suggested by the company sourcing the information with military grade ammunition.Since then I have confronted a few of my gunsmith friends/FFL dealers who all responded the same way, laughing!!! Im not just someone who has no idea about guns but I will admit I am still learning. But when you step foot inside a gun store or ANY store for that manner there should always be a sense of something called CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will say his canter after I showed him the proof did change but it only takes 10 seconds for a new customer to leave never wanting to come back or leave a lifetime customer. The ONLY reason I walked into that SMALL, FILTHY, DUSTY, RUNDOWN, STINKING, gunstore the second time was to prove I was right and not just some ignorant gun owner. If you want to continue to destroy your reputation then please keep treating customers the way you treated me and many before me.Im sure there will be some form of response lying about the incident and trying to cover up the truth with more nonsense and inaccurate events that unfolded but the truth will come out when the next person walks thru those doors and ends up getting the same treatment and writing ANOTHER negative response on here. I could honestly care less about your inaccurate advice while visiting your store but the main reason for this negative review is your lack of customer relation skills and the way I was treated as a paying customer regardless of what the price of the part was.

Bypass this place by all means. The owner is probably the most arrogant, rude person in business I have ever encountered. Their website is totally misleading, they DO NOT have a large inventory at all and get by with it by saying they can order anything. They stock NO ammo and they inventory is 90% very expensive Garands and hi dollar ARs.Avoid them unless you enjoy being mistreated as a customer.
