Not a coffee shop, but a pleasant experience nonetheless. The self-serv coffee machine was not working, so nobody got coffee. Fortunately, it still made hot water for tea. Inspirational.

Just got coffee for the first time today, and it did not disappoint!! Peppermint latte was on point!!! Yummy, and it was so smooth! Their drip coffee is also extremely good, had some at church on Sunday when we visited.

Thought it wasnt open to the public at first because its connected to a church but so glad I went. Has a serene indoor and outdoor music and atmosphere with seating for a minimum of 15 people outside. There are more tables and chairs and even picnic tables within close vicinity- just not sure if it is part of the coffee shop or belongs to a different part of the campus. Inside has tables, sofas and tabletops. Espresso drinks were sweet. Dog friendly outside patio.

I love this place. The coffee is excellent, smooth and never bitter ullike that big chain coffee shop that people are too fond of. The proceeds go to those in need. They also have a gorgeous waterfall and flowers out front 5o sit and relax in front of (when its not so blisteringly hot.)

My first time and definitely will not be my last time, coming to this coffee shop studying for my big boards exam. Great atmosphere, great service, and great cause serving others through a non-profit organization. I love the eye opener (coffee w/ espresso shot), positive atmosphere w/ plenty of natural light and WIFI. With each drink they provide encouragement for making it through everyday life with a bible verse.

We didnt know this place existed! It was so nice and quiet. The coffee was good too. If ever I need a place to study I know where to go. The bread was tasty too.

The coffee is good and there are plenty of good seats to study in. There is decent lighting however one of the employees of the church had a bit of a tone when I went to the upstairs hallway to stretch my legs (I was not in anyones way and the other staff didnt mind). Overall, it is a good place to study and the area is very safe. I do wish they had a bigger variety of pastries or a lunch menu.

For a small shop it has quite a bit of seating. It seems to have connections with several global ministries and their slogan is changing the world one cup at a time. The shop is attached to the church lobby, but keeps regular coffee shop hours. A nice place to stop for a cup of joe. You cant see the shop from Westheimer, its clearly visible from Peek, though.

This is a nice, quiet spot for coffee and free Wi-Fi, and the proceeds go toward good works! Gifts are available here, and they have a wide range of teas. This church is always focused on helping wherever they are needed, generous and loving. Prayer is encouraged here.

When you first walk in to Kosmos, you probably just think its another one of those trying to be indie coffee shops where synth pop music plays while you sip on your iced coffee. But after you scan the menu and find out the place is non-profit, you find yourself in a place that makes you feel almost away from the world, if only for the 10 minute smoothie break you take out of your hectic schedule. All of this followed by friendly staff, clean tables and extremely delicious muffins creates a heart warming experience that youre surprised you felt while at a small coffee shop attached to a church. Overall, if youre into friendly vibes, scrumptious baked goods and drinks tastier than a five-star restaurant, then Kosmos is definitely a place you want to visit soon.

A common theme in all other reviews of Kosmos, is to compliment ambience or cool vibe or lots of seating. All of which are critical, but certainly not the most important, qualities in the coffee shop business.Kosmos is hidden in what I think is best described as a very large lobby of a church. It advertises itself as a Not for Profit. In my opinion if you are going to open a coffee shop, you should endeavor to serve good coffee. The moment not for profit becomes code for, it doesnt matter. One might consider that your endeavor is a waste of time and resources.I would say that Kosmos Coffee serves a cup of gas station coffee, but that would be an insult to gas stations. The coffee is bitter and served with a side of millenial indifference. This shop wreaks of a project started to squeeze more money out of parishioners as they enter and exit the church. On its own merits, this shop would not last a month in the real world.I had a cup of Ethiopian blend. Its bitter taste stayed with me all morning. The layout of the shop is such that it blends in with the church, though it has its own entrance and exit the veil separating the two stops at the Kosmos branded door. The ambiance is opressively religious, meaning that outsiders feel like outsiders. The staff during my visit was a single, stereotypical millenial, with an indifferent attitude and well practiced lack of enthusiasm. My advice is, if you enjoy a nice cup of coffee, dont waste your time with this place.
