This place is legitimate! Right in old Katy off Old hwy 90. This place has an immense board game library. Plenty of tables and space you can bring your friends for some good brews, food, and games! I will definitely be back as this gem has been hiding. Not only that it is holiday season around the corner and Battle Hops has a board game store and can order the hard to find items that you are looking for. Support your small local business and come give visit these guys over at battle hops. If you love table top games they will not disappoint.

Battlehops Brewing is AWESOME!!! We have been here for the last couple days, and are amazed by the amount of games! Board games, cards, role play etc. Over 600!The beer is excellent!!! They also have a limited food menu.Great place for friends to gather and game and drink.

If your family board games arent hostile enough try this place! Food was good, restrooms clean, and tons of games to choose from.

Cute spot with tons of games and delicious burgers. Perfect bar to have a family game night or just to grab a couple of beers with some friends. Knocked off a star just because the food took what felt like forever (probably 1 hr +) to come out, but I think it’s because there was only one person working the entire restaurant, which was quite impressive.

Enjoyed playing games. The Oktoberfest beer was good, so were the soft pretzels. Game selection is unparalleled!

Been to breweries all over the nation, this brewery literally ranks as the worst I’ve ever been to. The sour was flat and sweet and actually burned my throat. To say terrible would be an understatement. The atmosphere is cool with the games, but, the beer is ridiculously bad.

Nice place to go and play some games. The only issue is one person working and took forever to get the food but he was really nice and patient. Place needs 2 people working. Good place for children

We will definitely be coming back.Word of advice for any serious board gamers out there, review their list of titles on their website and maybe review the game rules of a game youd like to play before going. Some are quite complex and youll spend most of your time figuring out how to play.

Really great atmosphere. Definitely a place yocan go to relax and have fun. The food was super fresh and delicious. They have a fantastic variety of games. I am really looking forward to going back!!

Great place to go for microbrews, games, and some fantastic homemade rootbeer (cream soda, etc.) Along with other drinks. .. LOTS of games to play and some good eats. (Highly suggest the bacon jam grilled cheese and the Jack burger!) ... lots for families and friends... all ages!

Remember doing game night at a friends as an adult with the beer and the table top and the fun, well this is that place as a business. BRAND NEW!!!! Tell JD you heard about this place from Google! They brew, tap and sell bottle. Tons of board games and they take requests.

Five stars if you are just going to play games. Two stars for the three beers they had on tap on a Friday night... and the Hefeweizen was a bit off.

Spectacular!! This is probably the best place Ive found in Houston/Katy for boardgame playing. First of all the environment is great very family oriented and friendly. Second the game collection is incredible, from kids to family games from easy to experts, there are so many games that it took me a while to choose one. Third, I am not an artisan beer guy but so far the 3 different beers that I tested were very good. The only thing missing in this place is food and I think you can bring your own or order for delivery. The tables are made for playing and the chairs are very comfortable.If I had to say a negative is that they closed at 10PM. My friends, my wife and I would have probably stayed there easily until midnightWe will definetly be going back here very often.

Boring. Ordered a brawt and they bouight me a hot dog with sauerkraut!No music. No atmosphere, unless you played Dungeons and Dragons.

This is a great gaming location with the best gaming tables I have ever played on...can easily fit 10 for my favorite game Secret Hitler, and there are built-in drink holders for 8 people. Plus they have a ton of games. JD is a great game host, and I like all their beer selections (but Im not picky, heh). Check them out!

Place is good, staff is good, and I enjoy coming here. But the beer selection needs to be less eclectic and the food truck scene needs to greatly improve. Id highly recommend you plan ahead if you want to eat while youre there.

Great staff, awesome board game selection, and good beer variety. I really enjoyed the beers they had on tap. The tables are also perfect for games. If you live out in the Katy area this is a wonderful place to gather with friends on a hot summer afternoon.

Small new brewery in Katy area, a little rough around the edges, but with a fun atmosphere and tons and tons of board games and reasonably priced home brewed drinks and food! Very friendly staff and very clean restrooms.

All good things come to those who wait...like brewing beer, patience is key. Went to the soft opening yesterday! It was fun seeing the place full of folks playing board games and enjoying beers on draft and in bottles and cans. The brewing is still in progress and there is nice equipment in the brewroom adjacent to the game and tap room. The board game inventory fills a large wall!

Fun games. Great beer. What else do you need to know? Oh, yeah, super friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Impressive number of games, both cooperative and player versus player. They had some really nice beers as well, with several I had never tried; ended up having a nice afternoon of new games and new brews!

We just went for Father’s Day and we all had a fun time. Good beer and a great selection of games to play with as a family.
