Amazing customer service!!After reading previous reviews, I was VERY skeptical about coming here to get my MacBook repaired. I still gave it a chance and was not disappointed. No wait time for my appointment, they contacted me to keep me updated on the repairs (when the part was ordered, arrived, and completed). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was told the repair would take about 5 days but it only took a couple of days.

Went to shop about Mac not able to boot and told clerk I thought it was battery. He stated the Mac didn’t need battery to work and said there was nothing he could do. I then went to apple store They replaced battery and it works great. Don’t trust the “knowledge” of the clerk

The bad reviews are all legit and accurate. Made an appointment to bring in my MacBook that is still under the 1 year warranty but when I arrived they told me my internal screen display issue is not covered and would cost around $600. They did not even try to give me advice on how to go about the best way to fix.

I’ve never had to work so hard to give someone my business. They literally will not respond to my phone messages. I was willing to drive almost 2 hours to get work done on my MacBook but they wouldn’t answer the phone or call me back.

Battery for iPhone 8. I had appointment for 10 days. When I get there they tell me it will take 2-3 hours and they will call me when done. I explained I drove 35 minutes to get there so I would just be in car and get something to eat right near. I come back 2 hours and 15 minutes to check in and found out it was finished 45 minutes earlier. 🙄 They never called. I do not like it when people waste my time. They said they would call and they should have called.

Everyone was so nice and helpful,I don’t understand the negative reviews on here.I brought my iphone to repair the cracked screen in the back.I had not backed up my phone and it took more than 20min,not one time did I feel they were annoyed.While waiting many people came in and out, team was always cheerful,happy to help and knowledgeable.I would come back!

Just had iPhone battery replaced at Simply Mac. Charged me $92 for the 6s battery that Apple store will replace for $53.04 ( including tax). This store also charged tax on their $30 labor charge and would not remove tax when requested. In Texas labor is not taxable. Recommend you skip this place.

UPDATE: The store owner replied for me to reach out to customer service and provided and email. I did that immediately and have heard nothing, so all of you are a mess.I have sent items to this Simply Mac before, but this last transaction was not good at all. I was told it would take two to three weeks to fix my computer, but if I paid a $100 expedited fee, they would immediately order my part and they would fix it in 24-48 a few days later. I had already waited a week for an appointment, so I paid the extra money. This was on a Saturday and I was told I would receive a call on Wednesday. No call came at all that week. I had to go up to the store because they do not answer their phone. I was told the item had shipped and it would arrive Monday or Tuesday and I would receive a call on one of those days. That did not happen. So two Saturdays after my first appointment, I had to go up to the store for the third time to inquire about my expedited transaction. I arrive and I am told Apple recalled another part of my computer, a part that is working fine on my computer, and they were waiting on that part. My monitor was in and had been in and no one told me. All of a sudden that was the excuse of why my expedited computer repair was not done. They also refused to refund my expedited fee. There was a lot of double speak and excuses that did not compensate for their piss poor customer service. I understand they are overwhelmed at the store, so hire more people. At least a person to answer the phone. People are begging for jobs and they have the business coming in. After a fourth trip to the store they finally fixed my computer keeping my expedited fee even though it took the time it would have taken had not paid it.

Downright disrespectful behavior from one of the younger employees.Been a customer for years and due to his and his managers behavior I’ll no longer be going back.He’s personally caused me weeks in delays in resolving a very simple issue. Lied to me about timing. Acted sarcastic and downright rude in trying to get my issue resolved at which point I left.Was too much of a coward to give me a name so here’s his picture!See ya SimplyMac.I’ll be reporting this behavior to SimplyMac corporate headquarters and Apple partner services.

When I tried to set an appointment online nothing was coming up so I called. I spoke with a young man who told me that walk-ins are accepted & to be sure I wore a mask.I drove over an hour to the Location(I live in the willowbrook area) only to be told You have to have an appointment. The entire reason I called first was to ensure that I didnt make a pointless blank trip.I then sent an email (since calling in obviously isnt the best option) And have yet to hear a response nearly a week later

On September 3rd, I contacted AppleCare support for a problem with my laptop. It runs perfectly fine when plugged in, but dies immediately after being disconnected from power.I spent an hour working with a competent and eager support rep from Apple to diagnose the issue. We ran multiple diagnostics and he walked me patiently through each step with care. We determined that there was indeed a problem, and it would need to be serviced.As the Apple stores in my area are closed, he said that I would need to take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. He looked up the closest one to me, Simply Mac in Katy, TX. He set up an appointment for September 10th, and told me they would diagnose the issue, and most probably would order a battery.On Sept 10th, I took my laptop to Simply Mac. The person working the front counter took down my information, I explained what had been done and that I had worked with Apple support to diagnose the problem. She then told me that the problem was a battery, and that they would order the part from Apple, which would take about 3 weeks. She also told me that my laptop would need to stay in their shop while they waited for the ordered part to come in. I could not take my laptop home and wait for the part to come in.I told her that 3 weeks without my laptop was unacceptable to me, that it would be very easy for them to call me when the part is ready and I would bring my laptop up for them to fix it. At that point she said “Well we do have a “express” option, if you pay us $100 then you can take your computer home and wait for the part to come in.” In my opinion, by telling me that I cannot have my laptop while it sits in their shop waiting for a part unless I pay them is the very definition of extortion. I was unhappy with the charge, but agreed to it since it was a work computer and my company would pay the fee.I also had a pair of AirPods Pro’s that had a clicking sound. Again she said she could send them to Apple and they would send back and we could pick them up, but that they would charge me $30 to send them to Apple. I told her this was appalling. We had another pair of AirPods that we had service done through another shop in town (Micro Center) and they didn’t charge us anything. She told me “Well we aren’t Micro Center”At this point I told her that they would not be getting my business. The combination of excessive fees (they get paid by Apple already for repair work) and the fact that the entire time I was in the shop, there were 4-5 people in the back room of the shop screaming, laughing and cussing, made me feel that this place was not right for my business.

I’d give them 0 stars if I could. I drove over an hour to come and get my laptop fixed to find out that I had to wait in my car, TEXT A NUMBER And not even be seen because of their outrageous prices! Great service and very friendly! I brought my MacBook Pro in to have my LCD screen replaced. They got me checked in right away with no waiting. The repairs went smoothly but I had to wait an extra day for the repair since it was days before Christmas. When I went to pick it up, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this company!!

I had an appointment at Simply Mac in Cinco Ranch at 11:00 a.m. this morning. I arrived at exactly 11 and was greeted by Daniel and Arc. They offered to bring my computer in from my car. In minutes they had diagnosed the problem and told me they would be able to install the missing IOS. 50 minutes after leaving my computer with Daniel and Arc I now have operational computer. They both are professional, courteous and knowledgeable Apple technicians. Thank you for great service.

Had a great experience at Simply Mac. I was able to get in the same day I broke my phone. They were able to lookup that I had apple care and I received my repaired phone in less than 24 hours! I was so glad that it was that fast even despite covid-19 delays everywhere else.The staff was friendly and super helpful!

This was the worst experience ever. If I were you I would find a different place to fix my computer. I called and verified my appointment when they opened to make sure I had everything. I pulled up 7 minutes early and was met at the door with a sign saying you can’t come in unless you have an appointment, which I did. Then, I’m told to text a random number to let them know I’ve arrived. I received several text messages from the manger, Ana asking me a host of personal questions, which I felt they should have already known based on my initial reservation. All this time, they force us to stand outside and there was nobody in the store. When I express my concern about giving my personal Information and tell them their service was horrible she basically says this is what we’re doing to help. Then, a random person comes outside and quotes us $850 to fix the screen. This was before tax! They have horrible customer service.

I scheduled an appointment to get my keyboard repaired. My space bar was sticking but still working and my assumption was like the key itself needed to be replaced.My expectation was that the repair was going to be completed onsite and same day. After trying to call for 5 hours before my appointment to verify that they could repair onsite, no one picked up the phone.I decided to drive the 20 mins to my appointment. When I arrived I was informed that they could not make the repair onsite and they were going to have to ship it off for repair. Fine. What baffled me was they their turn around time on the repair was 3-4 weeks!!!! The turn around time of I go direct to Apple is 4-7 days.I will never go to this store ever again and do not recommend anyone using their services.

I looked up any apple stores in my area and the closest was 29 miles away. I called simply Mac and they said they could fix my screen that was under warranty. Since Sunday I had issues with the screen as it was not responding to any touches and had a lot of issues even unlocking it. I took it and in about 2 hours my phone was back to normal. I would recommend avoiding this location. Due to the Apple store closures because of COVID-19, I had scheduled an appointment at Simply Mac in Katy to have my iMac serviced, since they are an authorized service provider listed on Apples support site. However, I tried several times to call this store to speak to their service department to find out what to expect at my appointment. But they never answered the phone and I was not able to leave a message. So I tried e-mailing them more than once at the address mentioned in the phone message when I tried to call, but they did not reply to my e-mails as well.Because of this total lack of response, I cancelled my appointment, and I have reported them to Apple. I would not feel safe taking any of my Apple products to this store to be serviced.

Unless you have a very simple problem with your iPhone or watch, don’t waste your time with these guys. They couldn’t come close to fixing the problem with my MacBook Pro. I called ahead and set an appointment, which was also a waste of time. I got to the store and still waited in line. I’d leave this place 0 stars if possible. As soon as I walked in I could tell it wasn’t going to be a good experience because of the girl at the front’s attitude while she was on the phone. Her demeanor once we were interacting was even worse. She told me my Apple watch would take 3 wks to be replaced, and I asked her if it would be less time if I go through Apple, she just said “that’s what I’ve heard” I then told her I would rather go through Apple to which she said “yeah we also charge a delivery fee on top of whatever Apple will charge you.” I thanked her and walked out. This store does not honor their exchange policies. Beware. I bought better at Best Buy online. They exchanged without much discussion, just needed the receipt. I presented the receipt to Simply MAC at this Katy location and it did not make a difference. They would not make the exchange. I wanted to exchange a pink Apple Series 4 for another color. My computer stopped charging. I made and appointment and after a two minute diagnosis was told the board was bad. It would be $250 to remove the pictures, $500 for the information, and $600 to attempt a repair. None of those options were guaranteed.I said no thank you and got a second opinion. One of the connectors on the computer had gone out and I needed a new charger. Total cost to fix the issue including the transfer of the perfectly fine board, and new charger $85.The high price was irritating, but the misdiagnosis and disregard for actually solving the problem were an entirely different issue.

I called the store to see if they have a certain color silicone watch band. They said they had all sorts of watch bands and to come in. This is a busy area to get to so I didn’t want to come if they didn’t have the color I wanted. Well, I came in and turns out they have like a total of 5 watch bands, and only 3 colors of the silicone; white, black, and blue. Hmmm. Don’t waste your time with these time wasters.

I had an appointment for 11:20am and showed up early. The associate helped me the minute I walked through the door and was very pleasant and eager to help me resolve my issue. The moment I left I received an update via email telling me exactly what was going on with the diagnosis of my computer. I never had to call them, because they answered my question before I could ask.I picked my computer within 4 days. It was perfect, ran well and the problem was fixed! Great experience here! I could not hear out of my iPhone all of a sudden. I called simply Mac and they picked up right away. They informed me that there was no wait right now. I went up to the store and they diagnosed my phone within 15 minutes. They informed me that it was still under warranty and my phone was fixed within a couple of hours. They called me and the phone was ready in the exact timeframe that they promised it to me. They were also very helpful about some questions I had about my desktop.

DO NOT give this place a chance. Made a reservation a week in advanced, called ahead of time to confirm, texted the number when i got to the door with my 3 kids in 95 degree heat. We all had mask on. The one guy we saw completely ignored us and once he opened the door, he took my phone and left us out there. 30 min later, he says for me to come in, has no mask on, and was not helpful.

I went in to change a phone battery. Manager girl says I dont need a battery change but I need a diagnostic done for twenty dollars to see if I need a new battery. The phone setting shows the battery life. She does a diagnostic which proves nothing that I didnt know already. She goes into back of store for a while and returning with a tiny bag that she said I should replace on my phone. This product was 30 dollars. There is absolutely nothing on my phone that needed changing. If you add up the 20 and the 30 dollars that was the cost of a new battery which I did not get. But she diverted me to a bunch of bull that did my phone absolutely did not need. My husband went back and explained but they would not refund our money. Its called robbery. Run dont walk out of this place.

The reps are nice but they did a horrible job repairing my cracked screen. They had my phone all day. Once I got it back my home button was completely loose. I asked why they happened because apple store was able to replace my screen before and I had no problems with the home button. They told me that no, this happens to all the phones with this model it’s impossible to make it normal again. Which was clearly a lie, they obviously messed it up and didn’t want to fix it. That is poor service. I definitely will never be back there. Furthermore, I have told everyone I know about they’re service warning them to never go there for a repair. I was very disappointed that they messed up my phone and refused to fix it properly, and still made me pay the full price of repair. Horrible!!

Had a talk with an Apple advisor last night who set me up an appointment here at 2PM because I recently woke up to my MacBook internally damaged (without anything being done to it). The employee helping me refused to cover it under limited warranty, and instead tried to charge me over $600. Another appointment had them try to charge me even more for the same product repair. Have been there twice to have both a Macbook and an I-phone fixed, and both time they not only went out of their way to fix it, but then threw in extra service and very helpful tips at no additional charge. In the case of the phone, they found ways of recovering data that I was sure was completely lost..!! (Thank You, Davian ) I would highly recommend the Katy store to anyone. They are the first place I go to for any Apple issues.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE! Go to a real apple store. $75 just to look at the computer then They tried to charge me $750 for a new motherboard on my MacBook and $100 for a warranty. The apple stores cost to repair was $475 for the same problem and they will look at it for free. Simply Mac also lost my charging cord and decided to give me a mini one back that was half the length of my original cord. I would not recommend going here unless you like wasting money.

I bought a refurbished macbook pro from this store for my daughters birthday in mid February. We have had nothing but problems with it since I bought it. I took it back a couple of weeks later. The rep at the store told me that the problems we were encountering were likely due to a game my daughter had downloaded. Still having problems with it freezing up. Now school is online and my daughter is having way too many problems with her lap top. I cant help because Im at work because I am a hospital employee. I called back the store and spoke to Daniel. Daniel told me it was a good thing I bought the service plan so I can make an appointment to fix it in a couple of weeks or when I could manage to get lucky and get an open appointment. He kept skirting my issues under the rug. I spent $800 on a macbook that doest work for a kid that is trying to go to school right now and cant do her school work right now and I cant help because support isnt accessible and neither am I because I am at the hospital. Id be happy to upgrade to a new macbook but do I even want to buy from this place that gives such poor service and really doesnt want to hear my problems or help me in a timely manner. You would think with everything going on and people and kids working from home simply mac would want to go above and beyond to help people, but unfortunately Daniel at the Katy location isnt interested in that. I wont buy anything from here again.

I visited the store without an appointment. I had a cracked iPhone under warranty. The manager or whoever the Hispanic guy was asked if I had an appointment. I told him no and he stated that they require appointments because they are “busy” fixing phones. He tried to discourage me and push online appointment only. There were about 5 staff talking and standing around with 1 customer and I. I ask him to make appointment for me and he said he’ll fix my phone but it’ll take 3 hours to fix my phone since I don’t have an appointment. I told him that I’ll wait 3 hours. I gave them my spouse phone number and asked him to call me. My iPhone was fixed in 40 minutes and I was notified by email. No phone call to let me know my phone was ready. I called the store after 3 hours and that’s when I learned my iPhone was ready for pickup 😒😩.

Conflicting information between apple customer support and this place. Apple specifically referred me to this place to replace my MacBook Pro battery, which had swollen to the point the track pad wasnt working. Once I arrived, the employee advised me that they couldnt service my mac due to being vintage and they were following apples guidelines. I wish I wouldve read the reviews before coming here because I wouldve went straight to an actual Apple retailer. None of the usual protocols that are followed by an actual Apple retailer were followed and has cost me the USB to my wireless mouse that is now useless. Every single technician in the past requests that i remove anything on the laptop in case it is lost. The technician at this location did not and my property is gone. I called to see if it was somewhere in the store and no one proceeded to look around or try to even act concerned and said no one saw it when it was checked in. Awesome staff, much better than going to the apple store. Daniel runs a tremendous shop and is always there to help, the rest of the staff are polite as well that I recommend anyone with apple products to go there and get it either fixed or help you see other options in purchasing a new one.

I went for a MacBook Air diagnostics because I found their contacts on Apple website as a certified place for MacBooks repairs. I went in and they charged me 69.99+tax = $75.5 . This is non refundable in case you choose not to go with a very costly repair that is higher then what your computer worth now. So in my case, I had a failed motherboard that needs to be replaced . Since the cost to repair is high I choose not to and lost the 75.5 dollars I paid . I went to apple and after 10 min they diagnose it and said the Same but they did not charge me anything and they offered me a repair that is less than simply Mac but it is still high for me. My advice is to always go to Apple store first if it’s for repair and if you’re not covered by warranty. Even though I tried to talk to the manager about waving this fee, he declined and said it is what it is . Not added value to me as a consumer in this situation.

I came here once and absolutely loved the customer service and overall experience. I took my laptop for service, they gave me a clear summary and options to fix my computer. I ended up buying a 15in macbook pro with warranty and they were nice enough to give me a fair trade in value for my laptop and a good price for the entire purchase. Theyre staff is very friendly and know their stuff. Definitely coming back.

Bad experience. Just bought Apple IMac 27 computer. Asked them for advice and assistance in adding additional RAM memory - cannot get memory cards to work. The technician/manager said that it would be $150 to get them to slide the cards into the two slots on the back of the computer. Seems like a lot to do 30 seconds of work. All online resources say its easy, but cannot get it to work for me. The employees refused to help confirm whether my memory is compatible, but indicated that they have a software program that could verify, but would do nothing without a $150 fee. I just spent $2K on a computer that is useless without additional RAM. I always heard such good things about Apple, but I am beginning to think that this is all a big scam to rip off the gullible consumer.I cant imagine that Simply Mac is really trying to collect $150 to put RAM memory in the computer.- more likely the employees are trying to drive away customers that annoy them by buying their own memory components.

Not impressed. A good deal of waiting involved. Felt I was over charged for a battery replacement that Apple is subsidizing and advertised as costing $29. Simply Mac charged $49. I will go to the Apple store in Sugar Land next time I need an Apple repair.

Here’s the thing. Since people want to bash this company for “not being Apple” that’s exactly why you’re upset. This is SIMPLYMAC it’s a completely different company. Lots of people are waiting until LAST minute for battery replacements for this 29.99 and you know what honestly I didn’t mind paying an extra 20 for labor because I was in an out in under 2 hours time. The employees do the best they can with being short staffed (from what I see) and they are only doing what they’re told. We as customers need to understand that we’re NOT always right and to stop complaining for small things that you can just overlook. Literally nothing but stupid complaints from these reviewers. I give them 5 stars because they are close to my house and they are courteous and have a fast turnaround time. They have Apple products and also have CPO devices that you can buy with an in house warranty. You other reviewers are simply such entitled POS people. Grow up.

No appointment needed; I was able to walk in and get my iPhone XR camera repaired in a few hours and since it is still under apple warranty, I only paid $20 for labor/time to replace the camera. Friendly service and I loved not having to have an appt!

We called Simply Mac in La Centerra to make an appointment to have two iPhone 6S+ batteries changed under Apple’s $29 offer before December 31, 2018. I was told that they can’t make appointments, that only Apple can, and you have to make separate back-to-back appointments for each phone. I did that, and my wife and I showed up on time with both our phones in hand. What we weren’t told was there was a $20 charge for labor for each phone in addition to the $29 battery charge.We agreed to the charge, the clerk checked to make sure that two batteries were available, and said it would take 1-1/2 hours to complete the work.We returned two hours later after some Christmas shopping, and were informed by the store manager that only one battery was changed because they ran out of batteries. We reiterated that inventory was checked when we dropped off the phones, and we were told that two batteries were available for our phones. “Oh, there was an appointment ahead of yours, and they got the other battery. We don’t have any more in stock, and don’t know when we will get any more. We don’t control the shipments.” He had not checked the day’s shipments yet, so we asked him to do that. No batteries were received that day.My wife was upset that her phone didn’t get a new battery. Then the store manager tried to persuade her that her battery really didn’t need changing, and gave her tips on how to preserve battery life. He also said he could not guarantee that they would get any more before the $29 offer expired on December 31, 2018, but he would notify us if they did. He kept refusing to accept responsibility for their error, and telling us there was nothing more he could do.We left the store, called another Mac reseller who changed the other battery in 20 minutes for $40 total. Easy.Lesson learned here: ship around for Mac resellers and compare prices first. We did not have a good experience at Simply Mac.

They do not honor Apple support appointments. I had a 2:40 appointment today for iPhone battery replacement and was told when I arrived that “they weren’t doing anymore today.” The employee explained an unclear connection/knowledge of the appointments made.Additionally—most important—-I called at 10:48am to confirm my appointment (knowing that batteries are in demand.). Since no one answered, I left a voicemail as their system directed me to (verifying battery replacement and providing my phone number.). No one ever called and the employee told me (wait for it), that they don’t know how to check the voicemail. A tech shop that is either inept or fibbing. No thanks.

I have gone to Simply Mac several times and cant praise the staff their enough. They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and we enjoy going to this store because we can avoid a trip to the Apple Store in the mall. I would highly recommend this store for anything you need from Iphones to Ipads. You walk in and walk out in without going to the mall and no waiting.

DUDE I bought an adaptor here cause I needed it that day.... went online... it was 10.00 cheaper online. That is 33% more expensive... A hard drive I was gonna buy... I did a quick look up and they were $20.00 more expensive. Dude... The days of being able to do this and be this more expensive are done. Shop online if you can wait 24 hours.

Had an appointment at 7:50 for battery replacement, only you be informed that tech staff go home an hour early and appointments after 7 are drop off devices even for battery replacement. Very unprofessional service from Apple certified store. Will never go there again.
