I’d rather go blind to have to ever deal with these people ever again. The doctor has no patience when dealing with children, even after explaining that my child has special needs he still was very rude. I left that place in tears because of how my child was treated. In addition to the cruel treatment, it appears that part of the exam is done in their lunch room. I believe I saw a microwave next to one of the machines that was used to check for glaucoma. I hated every moment there. Two of the other staff was pleasant the other was not. Just not the ideal place to go.

There has been no resolve for us. The company still has the “product” AND our payment with no good faith to return either. The service this company provides is HORRIBLE. TRASH. This is the worst company to go to with in regards to state funded care because they literally talk to you & treat you like a peasant. The glasses we received in hand were NOT the ones reflected on the so called prescription/order form; just like the “options” they state are available to resolve were never offered to the customer. This is a very misleading & dishonest company attempting insurance fraud.

Unprofessional is an understatement. Dr is rude and I didn’t like anything about him or the office or the other employees. I had an unbelievable experience in the worst way. Do not recommend. If you need to have a place that accepts State insurance try fisher in manteno.

Don’t judge by the reviews overall great place. This doctor deserves a lot of credit. Kankakee should invest and help him to get better equipment.

Dr. Prechal was not wearing a mask while seeing patients. He asked me why I’m disabled, which is none of his business. He also rushed through the exam, I’m not even sure I’m going to get the right prescription.Then they over charged me and my insurance for my glasses. I should have paid $23.77 out-of-pocket and ended up paying $73. Even though I tried showing them my benefits letter from the insurance.This place is a scam!!

I do not recommend this place at all I went today waited for two hours for my appointment. Went to the back the rooms were disgusting, there was mold on the edges of the wall, the chairs had large ugly stains on them, he was using tv trays for his equipment. He was not very presentable he wore shoes that was ripped, his attitude stunk as well as the room. If this is what PA offers us I would rather go blind. I should have checked out his reviews before I went! This was a very disgusting visit! And I take the star back!

Dr.does not wear mask asked why say he is exempt from wearing one....really. No tempt check, no social distances.No Questions asked if you have been exposed to someone. Office need a total remodel and cleaned. Horrible

Id give them a 1/2 a star if I could and thats just for the initial visit. The receptionist was polite and somewhat accommodating. However your in for a long wait because your frames are going to take about a month or more to come back. Heaven forbid you get a warranty because they definitely dont honor it. Shes going to ask for a warranty card which I didnt get when I picked up the frames. I was told that the frames had a warranty and to bring them back if broken or in need of repairs. Usually every office Ive visited I returned the glasses the receptionist looks up your information in the computer for the warranty and they repair them. The receptionist told me she couldnt look up in the computer if I have a warranty. She then said you should have a card that states warranty that is to be returned with the frames for repair. Ive NEVER experienced anything like this and Ive worn glasses for years. I DEFINITELY will no be doing business here again and will not recommend them to anyone.

I was supposed to get my glasses 1 month ago and they still don’t have them rude employees I’m over with it .The place is disgusting and it stink.He also asked for my old glasses to copy the medicine it’s just a mess won’t go there again.😠

The Doctor (Pechal) was rude and disrespectful to my friend and her small children. He treated her as if she was invisible by speaking to her with his back to her. When they shook hands he intentionally wiped his hands on his pants as if to say “I don’t want to touch you” When called out on his poor bedside manner the Dr stated “don’t tell me how to run my practice” and closed the door in my friend’s face. This review will only add to the dozens of other poor reviews this business has received. Do your research ladies and gentleman. This is NOT the place you want to care for your eyes!

One Star for The Receptionist Because She Was Very Polite, but as Far As the Actual eye Doctor, Hes A Rude Prick. My Mom Was Trying To Tell Him My Background History About My Glasses And he Cut Her Off and Said Im Not Talking To You, And Looked at Me and Said Youre Not a Mute, You Can Talk Right? And as Far as the waiting I had a appointment at 12:45 pm, I Was Seen At 2:00 pm. Worst Doctor Ever!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

My time at Arseneau Optical with Dr. Girad Prechal left me feeling less than a person. The provider came into the office, looked at my children and asked if anyone is here that they can go with. I said no, they are cooperative, and they are on the tablet, so you won’t even hear them. He then walked to his desk, sat down and started to type, he then asked with his back turned to me why are you hear. I then said hello, my name is jodeen and extended my hand to shake his. He looked at my hand for a few seconds, then shook it. He then pulled his hand away from me, whipped it on the side of his pants and told me I shook his hand too hard. As the exam went forward his tone became abrasive and agitated as he began to ask routine questions, the entire time with his back towards me. The only time he looked in my direction was when the actual eye exam began. At the end of my appointment he asked if I had any questions, I asked about contacts, Dr. Prechal then said that’s another appointment and I need to pay out of pocket for that. As much as I wanted to get out of their I said Dr. Prechal, it would have been nice if you introduced yourself and maybe say good afternoon. The words barely left my mouth when he got up, walked to the door and told me not to tell him how to run his practice. I got up took my children and said it’s just bedside manner, he then closed the door in my face. My daughter then turned to me and said mom did we do something wrong. Of course, I told her no, he’s just having a bad day. What I really should have told her was no matter how bad, anger or upset you are feeling that day, it is never ok to take out your frustration on anyone. He made me feel as if I was a bother, as if I was inferior, and he did not want me there. Needless to say, It’s my last visit.

They are the worst. I have ordered glasses from them, for my daughter and they had acted as if I couldnt afford to pay for the frames. When I had pulled out my check book, their tune had changed and they had told me that her glasses would be ready in two weeks. This incident was over 2 months ago and still her glasses arent ready. They had told me that the glasses would be there, every time that I’d called, but the glasses never came. They are rude and very unprofessional. Will not recommend this place to a homeless person. Keep your money in your pockets and take your business to a professional optical place!!!!!!
