A very cool spot on North Shore, perfect for picking up souvenirs for your loved ones (especially the coffee and flavored macadamia nuts). Note that its quite busy/filled with tourists thanks to the large numbers of yours that stop by this spot, so go early if you can! This would be a great spot to spend some time before/after Kualoa Ranch or the Polynesian Cultural Center (two other popular spots on the North Shore that were also part of our trip!)
Really cool place to visit. We only take our guests who visit us here in Hawaii to certain places, and this is one of them. Unfortunately, it is now under different management and I dont believe they offer the tour any more. That was the best part of visiting there! But still, not a bad place to see if you are up that way.
I love that you can sample coffee and the nuts. It was a little crowded though. I ended up buying garlic and onion nuts, cinnamon nuts, and regular roasted salted nuts. It was really hard just picking one flavor. They are all good. I was even pleasantly surprised by the Kona flavored macadamia nuts. They were good too. It gets crowded, but love that you can sample the nuts and other delicacies before buying.
Very nice place! Great coconut! 🥥 It was cold and delicious! And the guys that helped us were very nice and professional. We also got some delicious macadamia nuts that were cinnamon flavored! They were SO GOOD! And the free sample of coffee was very good as well!My daughter and I really enjoyed this place! 😁👍🏼
Samples of nuts and coffee are provided to try. Pretty busy when I was here. Beautiful view of the mountains from the parking lot. Cute chickens hanging out. They had other little shops there. Its a quick little visit. Its something I would skip if I didnt have time. I went on a tour that made a stop here.
Every time I go to Oahu, this is a mandatory stop. Their coffee blend is incredibly good, and every flavor of macadamia nut is wonderful whether you want savory garlic or sweet cinnamon sugar. There are also samples for basically everything; thats how they get you!! They also have some awesome jewelry for sale at a great price! Everything about this place is perfect. You can also buy direct, which I do!
Stopped by this macadamia nut farm/gift shop after visiting Kualoa ranch (I’m sure I got that name wrong). So many tourists. I mean, I’m a tourist, but this was very touristy. Expensive too.More so than some other places on the island, for coffee, nuts. Nice grounds. Some fresh coconut/pineapple stands too, but they didn’t have either when I was there.
So this place is cool but the tour buses are wrecking the experience. It gets 5 stars but its better to pass it up during 11 to 1pm. The tour buses dump the tourists out with no regard for the business. The business gets overwhelmed, over crowding takes place, and the guests are rude. Everyone is trying to take all the Macadamia nuts samples and yeah...Id skip it during tourist bus time.Hopefully the buses can get regulated and the experience will improve.
Cool little roadside stop with souvenirs and and some free samples. Picked up some mango sweet rolls (amazing) and some dried mango and papaya to snack on as we drove up the north shore. I wouldnt make a special trip here, but if youre on the way to Kualoa ranch or just driving up the north shore its worth stopping in.
Nice little spot to pick up reasonable souvenirs. Very tasty macadamia nuts. Loaded with flavor flavor the complimentary coffee was delicious. The staff and independent sales people (different booths set up) were amazingly friendly and over accommodating. Wonderful time spent there. Would definitely go there again!
Nice place to shop for macadamia nuts in different flavors. They put out samplers for customers to try before they buy. Salted garlic was my favorite. They also had Kona Mac coffee, which was really good. Some of the staff seemed a little edgy though. Felt kinda tense in there.
Really cool place the macadamia nuts were super good I wish I had more, hopefully I can order some online.
This was a fun stop shopping the highway. Free samples of all the different seasoned macadamia nuts, free samples of all the various hot sauces and dressings, and free samples of the Kona macadamia nut coffee. Do expect a gift store vibe but luckily there was not a lot of pressure to buy from employees. Tours are also available.
Nice place. Loved the samples of nuts as well as the fresh Kona coffee. Several scenes from 50 First Dates were filmed here as well. FAMILY owned. Prices were reasonable. Employees were helpful and friendly.
These are my fav nuts, so I had to make a stop here check everything out and take some coffee & nuts to snack on. Great experience for the family.
Bummed that there are no tours right now, or from what I hear ever again. The farm has changed hands and they dont plan to start the tours again. However the macadamias and coffee are simply blissful! Also a great place to pick up inexpensive gifts or souvenirs. Truly a stunning environment!
Its nice getting to try samples of various nuts, sauces, etc. There is also fresh coconut in the back.
This place is wonderful! Surrounded in a variety of flowering, beautiful plants everywhere. Theres little trails to explore the grounds, surrounding a pond fill with different water species. We seen fish, and some turtles. Its like this place sits in a crater, like its surrounded completely by all these colorful varieties of plants and trees. The atmosphere inside, is very open air, on a deck that overlooks this beautiful pond scene, with the rising mountains as a backdrop. If you look closely, you can see the infamous: stairway to heaven. The meals were prepared with fresh, local ingredients and every dish was played very professionally. I recommend saving some room for dessert. All of us had different dishes, so that we could taste a variety. All the desserts, and meals; were absolutely top tier quality and will not disappoint anyone. I highly recommend this for a wonderful, memorable evening. The staff was very attentive, and helpful to answer all of our questions. Thank all that work here for making this a exceptional evening. I would strongly recommend getting there early for a better view, though.
Great little place to visit with family. The gift shop has nice samples of various Macadamian nuts and Macadamian coffee. There are chickens running around the property and kids had a blast chasing them around.
Enjoyed the photo opportunities. Nature, refreshments, souvenirs, dry rubs for the grill, natural fragrances and much more. Perfect place for a pitstop if you happen to make it on that side of the island.
Samples of both the nuts and coffee were appreciated. We bought both and will be sad when we finish them. Very organized and friendly. Mahalo!
Friendly service, free samples of coffee and nuts, and beautiful location!
Free samples of all the Macadamia nut flavors to taste from before that final decision.#DoACarl
Pretty good place. We bought this local cream ( I forgot the name) then we saw the same cream at ABC store for lower price LOL. Coffee was good.
These people are amazing, friendly, and just out of this world. Thanks for the amazing time especially when we got our coconut.
Loved this place! They do so much with macadamia nuts.
The staff is so friendly! 💕💕 Great items for sale. Perfect things for sending to family in the mainland as souvenirs or goodies! Its tucked away in a small little area.. we missed the entrance a few times but Im glad we made it!
Tons of samples, a hagglers dream if youre looking for pearl jewelry, and baby chickens!Taste ALL the Macadamia nut flavors, and poke around to see all the flowers and plants
People who pass this charming store + farm on their way to Kualoa Ranch are surely missing a gem! I will definitely be visiting again!
Smaller than we expected but definitely still worth the trip. The caramel macadamia nuts are like crack and almost hate the whole bag before we made it back to our hotel. Wife stocked up on coffee and bought a couple mugs that were very cheap but nicely done.
Fun. Coffee was great. Cool gifts.
Enjoyed this place, people working there wasnt the friendliest.
They have awesome samples and the prices are Farely reasonable I mean u are in Hawaii so be ready but personally I would get either the cinnamon, caram or the garlic those three are my fav
The nut and coffee samples are very good!
Very nice place to stop by and get some different and exotic candies and nuts...
If you are planning to visit this establishment, please call ahead before you go. I went to the farm on two separate days, both days were closed without any announcement on their website or social media. I guess the old fashion phone call is the way to go
Great nuts and friendly people. Plenty of samples and they will ship back to the Continental US. They also have a delicious Macadamia Nut Coffee as well as other related kitsch.
The best Macadamia nuts on the island. You won’t be disappointed. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. All the employees are very friendly and helpful.
I like this little tour we tried coffee and all types of macadamian nuts unfortunately they were sold out of the macadamia cookie
Super cute place with lots of goodies. Very nice people.
Such a cute little stop along the road. Its pretty small, about convenient store size. They let you sample all kinds of flavors of these nuts. The cinnamon is my personal favorite. Followed by honey roasted and coffee. They have other things there too, but we came for the nuts!
Wild chickens and their families everywhere. Free coffee samples and Mac nut samples. Fun place to visit and spend your money.
Summary: Large interesting store with tons of flavored macadamia, hot sauces, seasonings, lotions and more. My favorites are honey roasted and cinnamon.Price: FREETime: 30 minutes is plenty.Parking: EASY. Plenty of parking in their parking lot directly in front.
Im glad to have been able take my daughters dream come true.Love Maui and Oahu, they deserves the world.
Such a large selection of coffee, jewelry and of course macadamia nuts. I bought several steak rubs and sauces for steak and chicken. Their jewelry selection was good with son many choices. There was also Hawaii trinkets and magnets. Wonderful experience.
Great little place with lots of macadamia nut choices, the garlic one was delicious! And the cinnamon one taste like a cookie, so good. Cute little stop for sure!
This is definitely a tourist trap. Lol. But the staff and chickens are friendly. They are generous with the macadamia nut samples. The fresh coconut stand had the best tasting coconut that I have had on the island.
Im not a coffee drinker but my wife loved it. The fresh coconut in the back was great.
I loved the samples. I just wish the style of store was better.
OMG! I love this place! We sampled their Macadamia Nut Coffee and it was amazing. We purchased a bag of salted nuts, and I can easily say they are the best Macadamia nuts I have ever tasted. The samples were very interesting and tasty. The jewelry and art work are top notch. In general the place was a great find.
Cool little shop that sells a variety of local trinkets, macadamia nuts and coffee.
Make sure to bring mosquito repellent. My travel companion and I got bit multiple times in the store near the macadamia nuts, which is a somewhat open airy side of the building. But they have some free samples of some nice things. If they get the mosquito population under control total 5 star experience.
Nuts are on point! The coffee is good as well and Im not a coffee drinker. Nice place to stop by and gets some history and souviners but dont forget the nuts!
Cool little experience to come and taste all different kinds of macadamian nuts
Nice little farm, we visited on a tour but you can visit on your own too. Found a great ghost pepper chili sauce 🥵🥵🥵
When driving around the island with visitors Tropical Farms MacAdamia is always one of our stops. First event is the Macadamia nuts ranging from plain macadamia nuts to macadamia nuts coated in onions and garlic. To make life easier and more enjoyable as of my visit June 21, 2021 they were providing free samples in small cups. They also provide free sample cups in nice size coffee. Staff is incredibly friendly and free samples work-many times we but a bag of nuts to eat on our drive around the island. Magical place to visit.
A wonderful stop on our island tour. Great selection of flavored macadamia nuts! Coffee was delicious as well. Stuff was very friendly.
Unless there is more than the gift shop, pretty boring. We stopped in on a whim, looked around, had some really good Macadamia nut coffee, tried various flavors of nuts, but didnt buy any because the process are higher than the store. I expected wholesale pricing.
Decide to stop by and Im so glad I did. They had some organic lotion that helps with aches and sun burn. They let me tested it and it sooth my sun burn a bit. Bought it and used it for 1 day and it help with the redness and two days later my redness is mostly gone on areas that were mildly burn. They also have other things to buy.
Lots of great samples and quality products 🤙🌺
Great little stop if you beat the tour buses.
Fun stop with lots of cool things like fresh coconut and coffee
Wonderful items to purchase from farm, staff supper sweet and interactive! Thank you 😊 💓 Mahalo!
Coffee is delicious. Free samples and genuine souvenirs
Good variety of macadamia nuts here. And coffee, honey, and BBQ sauce... I shop here as a local visitor. Trees in front of the shop are significant!
After coming here I realized my Mac nut game was weak, 😄. There are so many different flavors available it was hard to choose from! There are arts and crafts also sold at the gift shop and the lines go by quickly. Happy I stopped and got a quick snack! 😋
Great experience. Coffee was great, so was the view !!!
The honey roasted macadamia nuts are so good that after I demolished the bag that I bought from here, I went online and purchased 3 more after my flight home. So good!! 😋
One of my favorite stops on Oahu! I always stop here and get some delicious Macadamia Nuts- two of my favorites are the Cinnamon glazed and the Caramel glazed, we also like the honey roasted. Its a must see!
Very helpful! Great macadamia nuts!
Great place to stop and take a break if you are heading north shore ... they have complimentary coffee and sample Mac nuts... they are delicious ... but a little pricey... great for souvenirs...Dont forget to take pictures with the wild chicken.....
Drove by this farm on the way to The Jurassic park ranch.Their macadamia nuts are delicious and diverse in flavor from kona coffee, garlic and onion, cinnamon, caramel, salted, unsalted, and more. The best part was the sample for each. This was perfect to taste what you like. We bought numerous bags of variety for ourselves and our friends back home. Our favorite was the Kona coffee and unsalted roasted. The prices are decent too 👌They also have a macadamia nut flavor coffee with sampling. It was delicious and perfect to try with the nut samples. The farm has a back area where you can Crack macadamia nuts. Ou can see what macadamia nut trees look like as well.. Whats also cute is the chicken family with multiple chicks running around the farm. All in all, were happy to have had this experience to see this cute farm, taste a variety of flavors of macadamia nuts, and bring some back home 🤙
So many yummy flavors, coffee was good, great stop.
The shops had a variety of nuts, coffee, jewelry, and souvenirs. Spent a good while looking at everything and even sampling product. Expect tourist buses driving to this location and dropping off tons of people. There was definitely a lot of chickens if you like looking and interacting with wildlife. Will be stopping by again!
Well maintained and clean. Winner with the free coffee and macademia nuts. Very food selection of varieties of island coffee. Also enjoyed the free range chicken roaming around something you dont see in big cities on the mainland
I like the way you can sample the products before you buy them. Well at least majority of them. Nice products and good prices.
There were cute chickens and chicks outside. The store had sampling options where you can try their coffee, and different flavored macadamia nuts. There are flavors like honey roasted, caramel roasted, coffee, cinnamon sugar flavor, and more. They also sell things like jewelry, small nick-nacks, perfume, body wash, crystals, etc. There is also a pearl store next door wear they sell pearl jewelry, small nick-nacks, and other jewelries.
Lots of delicious macadamia nuts to sample (and buy). They also have coffees to sample and buy too. Great souvenirs. Outside there are a few other stalls selling fresh coconuts and coconut water, and pearls.Toilet facilities are available too. Can get very busy as all the tour busses stop here too.
Toms of different options for coffee, macadamia nuts, and fresh fruit in the back. Was super crowded when I went ( with a bus tour ) but the lines went quick. Coffee was tasty and most of the macadamia nut flavors are delicious.
This place was a great stop to try a bunch of different mac nuts. We enjoyed going through the shop. Had a wonderful local feel. The mac nuts were good too. We ended up getting several different kinds, aswell as some trail mix.
Gotta check out this little spot. Nice place for anything macadamia. Also fresh cold coconuts to cool you off.
A little touristy based on its location and popularity, but still a great place to go for all things Macadamia. This place has a great selection of products at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff.
I would give this place 5 stars if they brought back the short tours they used to do. It was short and sweet and so educational about the farm and the culture. Used to be one of my favorite things to do on the island.
Our stop here was spontaneous. Im so happpppy that we did. Its so pretty. So many free samples. Friendly staff. Clean public restrooms. Everything is affordable. 🌴🧡 Thank you, Tropical farms.
I was hoping to see a farm but its a shop. The macadamias arent grown at this location.
A little touristy, but the samples of macadamia nuts are worth the stop alone!
We found this place while looking for another place. Either way, its a cute roadside tourist trap, complete with free coffee samples, trinkets, gifts, and local fruits, vegetables, and nuts. We ended up killing an hour just exploring and walking around this cute place.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing the tour here. Only 2 shows/tours per day at 11am and 1pm. The tour guides were hilarious and the show/tour was well worth $20pp. Tour was a little over an hour, they take you on a open bus tour of the farm and stop at a stage area where they performed a very informative, yet SUPER entertaining show. They made a fire from rubbing sticks together, showed how to open a coconut and let us try the coconut meat. They made Hawaiian hats/crowns for the children/women. Then they drove us to see famous Hollywood filming sites. Tour was very entertaining and informative. Then you are returned back to the store and can try all the free samples of nuts, sauces, and coffee! great spot!!!
Great place to stop for coffee sample, mac nut samples. Reasonable jewelry prices. Great location.
Wonderful place and wonderful nuts! You can buy small gifts that are made by local Hawaiian people rather than buying at a resort as well. They got me, bought a bag of the cinnamon macadamia nuts.
