We live near this store and while theres another small store across the street we ALWAYS go here for what we need because this store is owned by a wonderful, friendly local family who remembers you and what it is you buy there...and most importantly we try to support local people and their businesses! Not to mention, this small store carries SOOO many things youd be pleasantly surprised for sure!

Love this mom & pop store, been coming here for over 30 yrs. Lots of local treats. Would stop next door at the Hawaiian food truck, Keoki! Always 😃..talking story..we buy our monthly supply of pasteles and gaundueli rice oh and his boiled peanuts is the best 👌 his food is always fresh and plentiful

Loved this little place

Love this place. Not only is it the only place I can find that I can still buy individual 24 oz. bottles of Smirnoff Ice instead of 12 oz.bottles in a six pack, but Im on crutches and the owner was so sweet as to walk my purchase out to my car for me despite my pit bull acting like he intended to take the guys face off when he did.

Well to be honest I am rating my experience based on my visits there as a child in the early 60s. I was 5or6 years old at the time and lived just up the road. Im amazed to see that the Hygenic store is still there. My visits there always included a banana popsicle and a package of Charms candy. I miss Hawaii and have always wanted to come back but It hasnt happened yet. Aloha from South Carolina.PS does anyone remember Gussy?

Their prices tip the scale...towards the higher side of prices though! They make fresh musubis, bentos, etc. daily. They accept ALL forms of payment: cash, EBT [cash & foodstamp benefits], & credit/debit card [though you have to make a $10 minimum purchase & they do not give cash back if using debit], an ATM machine is available on-site but the fee is also high... $3.75 I believe, per transaction, unless otherwise stated. If Hygienic Store doesnt have what your cravin or lookin for... you can walk right out of their entrance & located directly outside are 2 lunch wagons serving a variety of ONO & DIFFERENT DISHES... [Hawaiian, Thai, & American/Local Type Food]. Or right across the street is: Mikes Infamous Huli-Huli Chicken! The servings are generous and They also carry a variety of plate lunches as well!!
