This place is fantastic and on the windward side. I dont have to drive all the away to downtown or pearl city to hit up home depot. The staff are friendly every time I go in there and check out lines move fast.

I like the Mill City in Kaneohe and shop there. But there is one casher lady that is the Most unfriendly person I have ever seen. I am Always polite, But she is someone I would Not working for me.

I was at the register and my card was not working, so I go to call my bank and they told me to leave. It was 5 minutes after closing. It took 4 minutes to get my card unlocked, I shopped for 2 hours for those items and was just told to leave as if I didnt have the funds or something. It offended me very much. Get this, I spend on a avg 10,000$ a year at city mill......... Wont Be Doing That Again!!!

Picked up some materials for a job on the windward side, they got stuffs the other stores dont and vise versa. ALOHA BUILT HANDYMAN llc got what we needed and we was out!

Did not have the yellow weed wacker wire but I was able to find a thicker gauge maroon color for my weed wacker so that was very helpful

They went above and beyond to help me. I had trouble finding the right type of screw for my cooking lid. The teller helped me, called an associate over who found the perfect scree, and fixed my busted lid Ive suffered with for a year. Thank you so much!This place exuded small town customer service but offered big town variety.

I love the option of going to a local store instead of a big chain. Set back in the Ko’olaus the scenery isn’t bad either. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and easy to navigate. I will definitely be back.

Better selection and prices than hardware Hawaii, less stuff than some of the bigger box stores like lowes or home depot. Always stop in for what I need if its not out of my way and for a small project, my kids also love the snack aisle on the way to the checkout.

City Mill always has exactly what I need for my home projects (this time it was to fix my coffee table)! They definitely deserve 5 stars! 🤗👍❣

Good selection. It is a cross between and old time hardware store and modern home depot. If you own an older local house, ie built pre+ 1970s, they will have most pf what you need to repairs and maintenance. Most employees are nice and friendly. It would help if they had more people who had hands on experience in the building trade.

I love this place for buying what I need for home and work projects. The only down side is not much workers on site to find help.

It can get busy during the day but they always have what I need and the staff are friendly. It looks like they also cut keys here so I will definitely be dropping by in the future to have some spare keys cut! Found a brush and palette holder for my vanity here and I love them!

This is one stop for everything store, sanitization products including cleaning, home organization items and containers, as well as home improving tools and materials, gardening, cooling fans, BBQ facilities, and many more. I know people shop online, but seeing and checking products and asking questions to the store staff in front of me secures my shopping. I appreciate those people who works and help us at City Mill!

Great store! Most times you would think that the larger stores would have everything you need and you go there only to find out the stores do not have what you are looking for. You go to City Mill and they have exactly what you need mostly every time. City Mill has friendly sales associates that go out of their way to help make sure you get the right things you need to repair or build your projects. Convenient locations, well stocked stores, and friendly staff is why City Mill is always busy but yet they always have enough parking.

Today I had to get 2 bags of sand with 2 keiki in tow. As I set my purse into the wagon to grab the sand bags a very tall worker offered to assist me. The workers are kind, knowable, and may crack a joke or 2.

Was good. Greeted when we entered store. And when we made it to lumber we were immediately asked if we needed help.

Found what I was looking for. Was dissatisfied with cashiers as I was first in line, 3 cashiers, 2 with customers, 3rd then went to answer the phone, after she completed that, she walked out the side door, gone about a minute, came back in with another customer and did then his transaction. After about 5 minutes (others checking out with many items, silly rallying, etc) one of the other 2 cashiers finally opened up. I had 1 item a 10qt cooler. I know we are all expected to be patient in these times and be good little obedient Troopers but its kinda irritating when you get the perception that you are being dissed.

Great local hardware store, lots of things you need..

Lets start with parking. Parking is free and also ample space. The design is perfect for folks that have a U-haul that your not use to driving to load and exit.Very easy entrance and exit to parking lot. The staff is always professional polite and very knowledgeable. They just seem to enjoy their job. City Mill will stand behind all their products. This review comes from a contractor that is in the store at least 5 times a week theyve never let me down. They may not have the inventory of a Home Depot it is sufficient.

Friendly staff, great service. Watch out for one lady cashier in particular, Wendy... She will over charge you on items so be sure to check your receipt for item prices and quantity.. Happened to me 3 times already... Everybody else is wonderful!! Aloha!

City Mill has most of what you need for projects around the home. They have limited supply of one thing. The best thing to do is call if you need a specific product. Most of the workers are friendly and helpful. We didnt have the best experience with a manager but because we know other good people we will still frequent the store.

Im all for supporting local business but their prices are ridiculous. If you like spending extra $$ them go there! Everything is overpriced. Unless Im absolutely in need something urgent, I dont buy from them. Plus they price gouge, I bought some top soil that was $2.99, 2 days later, due to increased sales obviously, they increased each bag by a $1. It is sad that a local store does that. They lost my business. It is cheaper driving down to home depot and getting what you need. The staff there are helpful though and nice, for the most part. there are a few odd balls in there.

I want to thank Laverne at the Kaneohe store. I made an online order and according to the site there shouldve been 5 available for the item I ordered. Laverne called me right away to tell me that they searched for the product and they had none in the store. She said that the Pearl City store had some and that the next day she would drive to the store and pick it up. She called me the next day to let me know that for some reason they put it on the truck for delivery. Due to the 4th of July holiday there was a delay. I was kept updated on the status of my order and when it arrived at the Kaneohe store I was called right away to let me know that it was ready for pickup. I was very happy with the service I received and I just wanted to say thank you to Laverne for her helpfulness and service. We shop at different places but I will definitely shop here before any of the other stores.

City mill Kaneohe is a favorite hardware store for many years. They have a variety of household needs and many choices. It also has building supplies that are available to home owners as well as construction companies. They have a good selection of quality merchandise at reasonable rates. I would say we have been going there for over 40 yesrs.

Kaneohe store has some of the nicest people~ customers and workers are very nice and helpful, great cashiers too. Store is neatly stocked and clean.

This Hometown Store shares a great legacy that has been in effect since 1899. It is wonderful to support this family based business that continues to serve not only the necessary Hardware needs but also contribute so much to community needs through various charitable endeavors.

City Mill is our go to community hardware store. Especially now with this worldwide pandemic, having to social distance...you just go in get what you need and get out to complete your project. So glad he are here! During these unprecedented times we need to support local businesses.

Find almost everything Ive ever looked for. Service is what really stands out though. If theres a scale of 1 to 10 with one being the best service and 10 being the worst, I would give them a 1. If youve ever been to Home Depot or Lowes, You would know that their service would be an awful 10 or worse.

I like to buy potting soil here. It is less expensive than Koolau Farms.

Most employees are usually helpful, but I had one this morning that gave a curt no when I asked him if he knew if they carried a set screw. I understand that he was restocking items but thought he would at least let me know. I asked another worker and he told me what aisle it would probably be in. I finally found it and saw that employee that wouldnt help me near by and was going to point out to him where the set screws were located. But I thought hes just an unhappy bald old white guy that wishes he was still a hippie. Hope that helps in pointing out the guy who didnt want to help me in the Kaneohe store.

It has a lot of everyday needs but it is a smaller store so if you need something specialized they may not have it but you could check to verify or maybe special order from them.

I’ve gone here a few times and have had excellent service. Today not so much. While at the register I tried to pay in cash and use my military discount and the register wasn’t working, totally understandable! The cashier then had me go to another employee but this employee refused to give me my military discount, even though the other cashier approved it and I showed my ID. She refused to even do the transaction without the military discount, and wouldn’t let me just pay and leave and instead made me wait for the other cashier on a register that didn’t even have a till inside of it, and I couldn’t get my change. So they had to do a return and then I had to use my card (not a big deal). Please train your employees. Especially if you give military discounts and then an employee finds about your status and refuses to assist you. Not a good look city mill.

Good solid hardware store. Its not Home Depot but it doesnt claim to be. Lumber, LP, tools, plumbing, etc.

I liked the small town atmosphere type of hardware store. They had a little bit of everything in this store. Everything was reasonably priced. I will definitely go back for all my hardware needs!
