We were so fortunate to be able to get married before this pandemic shut everything down. Kathryn from Waiahole Nursery brought our wedding and reception to life with a pop of beautiful florals perfectly placed throughout our venue! Our outdoor venue at Nutridge Estate was already gorgeous on its own but Kathyrn was able to provide the needed accents with her beautiful floral arrangements. She made our ceremony backdrop look stunning and tastefully decorated all of our tables for our guests to fit our theme. She even called a few days before the wedding to review the plans and offer additional fresh florals to incorporate as well. I have to say, I was absolutely obsessed with my bouquet - the orchids, monstera, pink protea, and the ornamental pineapple were beyond what I could have ever imagined! I was even able to keep it alive and fresh for as long as possible after our big day to enjoy for days to follow. Kathryn was so easy to work with and I was grateful for her floral insights as to what would work and be perfect for our wedding day!
Had a great experience with Waiahole Nursery. I was able to plan my destination wedding from CA without a planner because florists such as Katie at Waiahole were able to take a few inspiration pics that I had sent them via email and create the the most amazing floral arrangements, all within the very minimal budget I had given them. They were also open to adjusting the order on the fly when I asked them close to the big day for additional flowers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and especially brides planning from afar. Photos by Mersadi Olson- An a awesome photographer on the island that I also recommend :)
Katie & the Florist team SAVED MY WEDDING!! Long story short, I had grand plans to put together my own bouquets and center pieces the few free days that I had before my wedding... until I came down with a terrible cold and could barely get out of bed! The morning before my wedding, I am panicking. I remembered passing this beautiful nursery on our trip in from the airport and said a little prayer. Not only were they able to get me all of the flowers that I needed in such a quick turn, the customer service was stellar, the pricing was very reasonable, and the bouquets... well they kind of stole the show. ;-) Katie is a multi-tasking miracle worker and extremely talented florist. I will forever be grateful for the love and attention that you put into my flowers that truly helped to make my special day absolutely perfect. THANK YOU!!!!!**The few photos that I have do not do them justice. I will share the professionals once those come back.
Great little nursery & garden center with a full-service florist, gift shop with locally sources goodies & a delicious & fresh farm-to-table eatery serving fresh salads, sandwiches, wraps plus ono Hawaiian style shave ice! This place specializes in haku lei workshops, field trips, and private events! Great venue with good prices and friendly staff!
I stop and buy at least a plant or 2 everytime im in the area.. EVERY one of their plants have done really well.. i love the variety of ti plants offered as well.. Staff here is always helpful and knowledgeable.
Outstanding customer service. Awesome products. Great prices. Highly recommend this business!!!
This is an amazing garden with fantastic customer service! I dealt with Katie who went above and beyond to help me and get all of my needs taken care of. This place is well worth your time and will get anything and everything taken care of.
Few days ago I visited with my family. The family ordered coffee, but it took a long time to get it because the Bistro was closed. The owner and staff were very kind. She welcomed us with great pleasure to hear that we were from Stouth Korea. It was an unscheduled visit. But it was a place where very good coffee and friendlyness made us happy. Next time I go to Hawaii, I will visit there again.P.s My family said the coffee here was the best in Hawaii.
Really enjoyed this do it yourself, hole in the wall restaurant. We both had the fish tacos platter. I may of had better fish tacos somewhere else, but there are lots of little elements that left me really excited. The fish was fresh, not fried. The small morsels of delicious pineapple in the salsa really stood out but didnt make the dish overly sweet. The rice served alongside was good, but the beans were simply fabulous. Excellent bell pepper flavor and a remarkable consistency in the gravy. Could eat them every day. This is not a four-star restaurant; the service may be a bit slow and the professionalism you might expect from a proper restaurant isnt a concern of theirs. But if youre looking for something local and authentic and reliably delicious and just good simple healthy food, you cant go wrong. Ill definitely be back. Also, the menu is extremely vegetarian friendly.
We were on a Harley and stuck in the rain when we stumbled into this paradise. The staff was gracious and kind. We had amazing coffee and some fabulous donuts that I hope are added to the menu soon. The food was delicious and the staff helpful. The program of helping build trade skills with special needs students is something more communities need. Stop by, get some amazing food, and help locals build a better future. Love, love, love.
Great place to visit. They have a gift shop and bistro. Everything is fresh so they dont always have the same things every time. I love the different cookies that they have. Come see Katie for beautiful bouquets.
The folks here are so kind and accommodating. They did a last-minute rush job for me when another local florist had not been responsive. This was just one funeral arrangement, but it meant the world to me.The lovely Hawaiian arrangement was just stunning and was very reasonably priced as well.Aloha is alive and well on the Windward side of Oahu where I was raised.Mahalo nui, Waiahole Nursery!
Awesome place to find fruit trees and plants.
I went to volunteer from outside the island thinking I was going to be free of using chemicals because they claim to be sustainable, but on arrival I found out something different. I had drugs pushed on me as well as politics shoved down my throat. They also pushed me to use chemical fertilizers. When I refused to do drugs, I was made to feel like a looser. They destroyed some of my property and accused me of not getting along with the drug dealers. They intimidated me. Then I was kicked out. I had nowhere to go. It was a horrible experience. I also couldnt get a job with anyone they knew because they claimed that I was a trouble maker when they were being dishonest and abusive with me.
I picked out a small clay piece (which had a $5 price sticker on it) & asked the cashier to hold it at the counter while I continued to look around. When I went to pay for it, the sticker had been removed & she asked me for $9 (+tax). Not good. But, since those purchases are supposed to go towards the kids programs, I bought it anyway. Although, sadly, I probably wont trust her again. Other than that, the garden center was nice.
Took the tour of the aquaponics facility to learn some of the basics of how to begin. Thanks to the knowledge and experience of Tyler and the rest of the staff, we are ready to take the plunge and start-up our own small town facility in Kentucky. We have a lot left to learn, but Tyler is truly commited to spreading the knowledge and know-how and is willing to help us with all of our questions.
Rude staff/ customer service
They told me Id be able to take their peanut butter on the plane and I couldnt. To top that off the device was really poor. No one was at the front desk. The ladies who did come to man to front was poorly trained.
We spent a good hour here buying souvenirs and chatting with the friendly staff. The hydroponic garden is interesting and the orchids are gorgeous. The kids loved the huge shaved ice sold for a mere $4 and the shark tooth necklaces for $8. The pineapple soap is cheaper here than at Doles Plantation. Loved the Kona Coffee gift packs for $17. They also serve free java samples. Green building right across from Chinamans Hat on Kamehameha Highway. You cant miss it.
Phenomenal service. Healthy and huge variety of plants to look at or choose from. They do sell lei inside as well as knick knacks like Coconut palm hats and lauhala placemats.
We stopped by here on a whim and it turned out to be the highlight of our day trip. The staff was very friendly and took a good 20 minutes of her time explaining the farm and various farming practices.
Great food! Beautiful place.Definitely try one of the smoothies.
My 3rd time coming here. Very nice staff. Excellent plant selection. Very good supply of aquaponic parts, better then home depot or lowes. Also the farm to table cafe is delicious with a simple and inexpensive menue.
Great people, very helpful. Excellent price, very pleasant place to be.
Best smoothie Ive ever had! Very friendly folks! Must stop!
We visited the Waiahole Nursery and Garden Center yesterday and were very impressed with everything going on here. The location is beautiful just across from Chinamans Hat which is what made us stop, then we were surprised to find a commercial sized aquaponics garden in operation. The owners gave us a tour (for a small donation) and we saw the giant tanks of talapia feeding the raft beds of a large variety of plants. The nursery sells the the produce from the aquaponics systems (and the fish to start your own), and many other types of plants - edible and decorative for the outdoor garden. We were even able to buy a packaged Bird of Paradise plant to send to a friend on the mainland. Love this knowledgeable and family owned business they seemed quite dedicated to sustainable agriculture. Gonna stop on my next visit to see if they have their smoothie stand going - wouldnt that be great to pick your own banana for a smoothie!
Great place and good people!
Wonderful views and great people
No i hate it sooooooo much

Found by accident. An exemplary, ecologically sustainable Garden Center with delicious food - including vegetarian! Rare for the US and a worthwhile trip.
