I just wanna say. I rarely go to the mall and this was my 1st & GREATEST mall experience since coming to Hawaii. I walked into the Journeys store & was greeted by DJ & KIANA. What a team! They held this store down with all the customers that came in. They really did show me the GREATEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was so overhelmed with joy on how they made sure I left satisfied with my purchases and excited to come back. Thank you sooo much.

I feel compelled to share my experience regarding my latest trip to Windward Mall, located in Kaneohe on Oahu, Hawaii. I do not shop at malls for many reasons the main 1 being the lack luster customer experience. When you live in the worst state to make a living, u do not want to feel any buyers remorse, nor do u want to waste time spending that hard earned money. Long story short, I had heard great things about a guy that worked at Journeys who had stopped in to the stoe my boyfriend works at on the North Shore. He had his own experience as a sales associate, providing his standard customer service to everyone which included someone who recognized his retail skills as well as overall zest for life & going above & beyond for tje sake of a happy customer, which is like a kindred spirit in many senses, especially nowadays. From the moment we walked into the Journeys store, flash forward one hour later (when we had to leave because the mall was closing) Ive never been treated like such a vip in my entire life even when I am a VIP. DJ is an amazing employee because of his friendly personality, his upbeat vibe & product knowledge. But more importantly than that he is truly a good person, who makes everybody he meets feel comfortable & special, on tbe clock or not. I rarely feel any positive vibes from someone I interact with in a public setting, nor will I review my moment with them. That being said, I am so looking forward to spending that hard earned cash thanks to a person who makes it worth it. Its not just about buying something, anyone can do that...Its about the feeling you get because you worked hard & have something to show for it. But most if all, that entire shopping experience will last longer that anything money can buy. Thank you DJ, we will see you soon!

I needed some downhill longboarding shoes, aka, shoes with thick vulc rubber souls that are CHEAP. Even worse Im also a size 12-13. A really helpful girl with a sweet afro puff hooked me right up. I got the feeling they are genuinely cool with the customers, and I felt like I was getting helped and not marketed. This is how you get more customers, and Ill be checking here first for all my new shoes. They had an alright selection of 90s style chunky skate shoes that I hope are coming back for functionality sake.
