Well 1st. time getting car repairs there. Everyone was nice, work took awhile, but was done right! Price was fair on work done there I thought. Safety check was done well also. Well go back there to service my car again.

I brought my car in because the check engine light came on. After examining my car the technician told me that it would cost me over $3000 to fix the transmission on my car and it had other things wrong with it as well. They advise me that it is not worth it for me to fix the car with all the existing problem and that its a money pit. On top of their advise they did not charge me for the diagnosis much to my surprise. Honesty from an auto repair shop is hard to come by these days and for this very reason I would go back there to have my car fixed. I will definitely recommend this place . Ricky the owner is awesome!

Good price for the work, but very unprofessional in how they go about business, especially the girl at the front desk. Kept interrupting me when I tried to work something out with the mechanic. General maintenance will be taken care of before repairs, which they failed to tell me. If you think you can drop off for a repair and go grab breakfast at 8, think again because they won’t be done until 11.

I had my safety check done at this business. I didnt have to wait, took my vehicle right in. Safety check inspector, Elaina was very professional, knowledgeable of her job and polite. I would recommend this place to have your safety check done. Excellent Service!

Super service with a smile! I went there to try & make an appoinment for a Safety Check. Lucky for me, someone was just finished & she was kind enough to ask me if Id like to be next! So, I waited & drove into the open space & stayed in the car to assist her; as she asked me to do all tasks to check if my car was in working order! I was done in record time & so happy to pass inspection, too!

He was very honest and helpful with his diagnosis and even told me how long I could put off fixing the issue without creating problems. Instead, Kaneohe Auto Care provides exceptional service. The staff and technicians are super friendly. They repaired my auto issue really quickly. Literally, the repair took only moments. The same issue that a nearby national auto service said that they needed to hold my car for at least half a day for the technician to inspect and repair. I will definitely tell all my ohana, friends, and co-church members to go see the folks at Kaneohe Auto Care for any car servicing.

On a Friday we scheduled an appointment for 8 AM Monday. We dropped the car off, they fixed the problem, and we picked it up at noon. They are honest and upfront about the cost. At the end of the day I go to this shop because I trust them and they give me piece if mind.

I have a classic hot-rod and needed a safety check. Car has been cleared for many years and with no recent modifications. Stopped at some other local shop and was turned away for an unclear reason. I had no reason to be concerned, I left and stopped at Kaneohe Auto Care. I was checked and cleared within minutes. Really appreciate the professionalism and the prompt accurate service. This place is the cheapest youll find. But with good service. They are very fast with repairs, it only took a few days for my clutch to get replaced. Ive called every auto shop and this one is your best bet. Im definitely gonna be a regular here.

I am a 20-year-old college student, 3000 miles away from home with little to no knowledge of cars. I can be handy when I want to be, but cars are just never something Ive gotten into, so when I decided to buy myself a beater for the rest of my time in school here, I needed to find myself a good mechanic and boy did I hit the jackpot with these guys! I had all kinds of issues with the car and they helped me immediately every single time I came in on the edge of a mental break. The owners Ricky and Mary have looked out for me and done so much for me over the past year and I could not be more thankful! Ive had lots of work done by Ricky and his team and each time, theyve gotten the car back to me very quickly and at a very reasonable cost of labor. They truly care about their customers and have gone out their way to look after me time and time again, even suggesting cheaper or DIY solutions once or twice as they know Im a broke college student. Ive never once felt like these guys were trying to empty my pockets. I truly cannot express in words how much this place has been a blessing to me in my time here. The mechanics are kind and knowledgeable and they dont make me feel stupid for not knowing what theyre talking about like some other places Ive been to. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just needed a state safety inspection and this place was great! Very fast, energetic, and happy to help!Every other shop in the area was rude, and talked about making an appointment, on average a day or two out.Probably because they do not make fist fulls of money off of them, this shop has the best customer service I have ever seen!They even said I could bug them on their lunch break, which I ended up doing, in the rain. And still I could not shake them! At all!Happy to bring my car back there if Im in the area, and would make the drive for their customer service alone!A really great job!Their small lot sucks but hardly their fault, and they still conduct business very well!

Called to make a safety check appointment on Thursday morning @8:30 am and made an appointment for 9 am. The experience was smooth and fast with no nonsense. Was out of there by 9:20. I highly recommend KAC!

Really bad. UNFRIENDLY unprofessional service. Went in for a safety and needless to say will not return or recommend this business. Made an appt, came in asked about getting some repairs done on another vehicle short filipino guys looks at me says nothing, ok...... so I pull my car in, he starts and revs engine, gets out hands me my registration and insurance says rear tint has bubbles, and you have an exhaust leak. My car is stock and has no exhast leak..... stay clear of this place waste of my time.

Updated 27 January, 2021:TEN STARS if I could. They have expanded because they are GOOD. Mary and Ricky run the show; they are honest good people and now they reap the rewards. GOOD! John has joined the team. My Ford Ranger they kept a week trying to figure out WHY it starts up, then I go someplace and it wont start-and I get towed. TWICE; once from Kapolei to Kaneohe...not fun, NOT fun riding The Bus home as no rides w/tows due to Covid now:(Welp, a week later, Nothing came up; it started up every time:(. So yesterday I drove into Kaneohe for errands, too chicken to drive any further. On the third start-up, it hesitated but started. Uh oh. After Safeway--nothing. I was stranded again, of course with groceries! Ricky told me if it happened close by, dont get towed--call him so they can check it out. I called from OReillys as I dont carry a cell (loooong story). John came right down and got it started by doing ? ;)...and then followed me to the shop:) It was the fuel pump and more--an expensive fix. When its done Ill trust driving it again...Even with the expense--- I dont know ANY OTHER SHOP that would come to YOU when you need help. When they kept it a week I received NO charge at all and they spent time working it up. They thought perhaps the fuel pump but since it kept starting--didnt want to fix it w/the $$ unless it REALLY was needed...These guys are OLD SCHOOL HONEST AND GREAT. Bravo. Again! Thanks Ricky..and now John too!Old review:HONEST, reliable and honest about the PRICE too. I was told by a mechanic at my safety check that I needed a new ?? (forgot the name) on the left front tire. Welp--I dont have 4WD so there is NO part there (that name) according to Ricky!...I took it to Ricky @ Kaneohe Auto Care on friends recs..Ricky noted..the tie rods/bearings needed replacing-that was what was clanging around...and it was better to replace the entire thing than just one part due to the price of parts being nearly equal. My truck runs GREAT now. He also did the shocks as Kam highway pot-hole-city ate em. He knew i was hauling heavy tile etc so did that for me--which aded to the bill but not by much. It was NEEDED. conclusion: Honest work, does whats needed, does NOT pad bill. Will return with my 2000 honda for a tune up!HE IS WORTH WAITING FOR AN OPENING TO GET YOUR VEHICLE FIXED RIGHT.June 2016 update: SAVED me when I rolled in with an almost flat too. No appt. but he fit me between 2 safety checks and got me going fast. Noted my safety was expiring too so he got that done for me too. My left rear blinker was acting up so we took it apart--as I had recently changed the entire rear light and it should have been working fine. Rickys crew wiped it down and wallah! worked fine. Was just grit on the connectors. Fixed and fast and well done. He is very thorough. His crew there are ALL this way. The place is neat and HAPPY. Makes a good environment to work= good work gets done. I wont take ANY vehicle anyplace else.THANKS Ricky!ID GIVE 10 STARS IF WE HAD THAT OPTION!I posted this on Yelp too;)
