Terrible!!! I dont have the money, trying to get a loan and they want to do an extra tests for more money, BUT OTHER mechanics have already said, they dont need to. Living with four chronic illnesses and a single mom, they still try to rip you off!!

I have never been so pleased with the integrity of service from an auto mechanic. We have been coming here for a little over 2 years after several disappointing experiences with other shops. Took our 2003 work van there for Several wiring issues. It was a mess. aAlot of people over the years have had there hands in it. They found the issues which where numerous. Had it back in 5 days! Great job guys! They didnt rake us over the coals on the work either! Great place. Dont let the mess in the office scare you they do good work!

I asked these guys about doing several repair items suggested by another quick oil place and to get my brake pads replaced (over $1500 in repairs) Persons explained to me that the services were unnecessary and did not recommend even the brake pad changes until another 15,000 miles. Honest service gets a five star rating.

If you want honesty and the job done right, then this is the place to take your vehicle. Once you build a rapport with them, they wont always charge you for an inspection or maybe they just dont charge for certain types of inspections. Theres one catch, labor cost is $115 an hour.

Brought a car in after being hydrolocked to have the issue diagnosed. Was told the diagnosis price would be no more than $100. They found the problem was water blocking the cold air intake and then proceeded to fix the problem without consulting. Granted it was a very easy fix just drying it out but to then charge nearly $200 for the work, 2/5. They we prompt and got the job done, but not the honest mechanic I wish to take my car back to.

I highly recommend people try persons garage. We have been extremely satisfied with their expertise.

When I blew the brakelines on my pickup Persons had it fixed by the next day, at a reasonable price. Very easy to deal with! I will continue using their service future.

Persons has excellent service all the way around. I was having a transmission issue with my Explorer and the shop I had taken it to referred me to them. They were unable to diagnose the issue because the codes my PCM was showing were not definitive and they wanted to eliminate the possibility of it being a PCM issue. I made an appointment and was planning on waiting their while they diagnosed the issue. When I arrived I realized they do not have a waiting room so I was going to reschedule because I did not have any alternate transportation arranged. When I told them I would have to reschedule the owner Herb, asked where I needed to go and offered to have his wife give me a ride. They called me later that day when they had completed their tests and again I was offered to be picked up and brought back to their shop. When I got back to Persons not only did Herb explain exactly what was done but he was able to tell me the exact cause of my issue. He also called the shop that had referred me to them and told them what the issue was. I couldnt be happier with Persons. Their customer service is better than any chain shop could ever hope for and they were able to diagnose my problem inexpensively. Not only did they not charge me for the rides to and from, but my overall bill for the two hours of diagnostics cost me $96.00. I absoulty recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest and trustworthy shop in the Kalamazoo / Portage area. Their diagnosis is great, their prices are great and their customer service is even greater.

We have been taking vehicles to Persons for almost 25 years. They are the best. When my daughter was in town and her car broke down they actually gave her a choice of a 200.00 job to get it home or a more expensive job to keep it going. My husband doesnt go to anyone else and he worked on cars for a very long time
