These guys are honest great workers!! I’ve brought my Audi A4 and My Toyota Camry 98 and they know more about my vehicles than even the dealers do at times. 10 plus years and I’ve been to many mechanics and every time I have real issues and I need help I still bring it here to see if they can look at it. They are way more than a muffler shop. Even when they are honest and say it’s outside of the scope of what they can do, they still steer me in the right direction. I pay them for the advice honestly even though they don’t ask it because I don’t want them to go out of business even as I move to Chicago. Great people I cannot state that enough!

I took my 04 Chevy Silverado here with a clogged catalytic converter. They were incredibly speedy. They confirmed the diagnosis, began repairs, and had it ready for pick up in less than 24 hours. It was a very fair price as well. I appreciate their professionalism, expertise, and their speedy repair.

Had exhaust work and muffler done on my civic. Now that winter is over vehicle is rattling underneath. Called about coverage and to have things checked out. Was asked if I had my receipt. Claimed that they hand write everything out and that they dont keep computer invoices of their clients and that there is nothing they will do. The man told me they are stuck in the 80s... For the amount I paid you would think a chain of a company would keep their data on file in computers in case they got audited. Ill be moving to the BBB.

On a recent Saturday visit the Staff there did a perfect repair on my exhaust system for a reasonable price and in a very timely manner. More importantly, I watched the Manager and his Assistant help another Customer by accommodating their transportation dilemma in a very personal and out-of-the-ordinary manner. A big hats off to Muffler Man for their act of kindness. I will never go anywhere else.

Called to schedule an oil change for after work, was greeted pleasantly and scheduled without any problem. They were willing to work my schedule and were very helpful when I asked girly questions about my tire pressure light and costs.

I left my car for wheels alignment the guy told me he is going to finish it the next day afternoon. I came the next day late afternoon then he said he didn’t have time i can come the next day and he is not sure if he can do it or not. While arguing he through my keys and ask me to go. Dont go there and waist your time. Spend little at firestone at least have warranty.

These people are the most professional and honest service folks around! They diagnosed and repaired my exhaust quickly and at a cost many other shops cannot match-period. The manager Jim treated me like family.

I have used Muffler Man a few times in the last year because I had heard they were HONEST, but I will not go back nor would I recommend anyone else to. I had my heater core replace back in February of this year (2016). No complaints at the time, my heat was working great, however it seemed a bit pricey at over $800, because the actual part is only $50. (I checked out several auto shops on heater core prices). A few months later I called Jim and explained that when I turn the temp to cool, only hot air blows out now and there is a whistling coming from the vents, and my cigarette lighter no longer worked, which are worked prior to Muffler Man tearing out my dashboard to replace the heater core. Jim said to bring it in and they would check it out for free. So today, per Jim and Is conversation, I dropped my Blazer of at 7:30 AM, and received a call a little after 3 PM from Jim saying he couldnt justify tearing apart my dash to check out the problem unless I had the invoice, which was not mentioned during our phone conversation, nor was it required when I dropped my car off to him this morning. I dont understand the problem here. They have copies of their invoices; he knows when the job was done. Not only did they refused to check out and/or repair a problem they caused, but they kept my Blazer for almost 8 hours before calling to tell me they wouldnt even look at it. Where is the honesty in that? In order to post I have to rate Muffler Man at least a one star: however, I do not believe they even deserve that. I will never use Muffler Man again for any reason, and I hope you dont either.

Really great staff. They were really helpful regarding the issues I brought the car in for, and explained the fixes I would need for specific sounds I could hear from the car, but couldnt explain well when describing it to others. They gave me a nice timeline for when I would need to get the next few issues looked at again/fixed before they became a bigger problem.

Took my car there they charged me $650 for a whole new muffler. Find out a month later my frame is breaking apart. They never said anything about my frame to me. I guess its all about money for these guys instead of lives.

They helped me surprise my hubby with duels on his truck. Thanks again guys.

They built an exhaust for me with a muffler delete job to make the car louder. It sounds great, they were fast for a low price.

Our local shop has a certain competition across the street and we mistakenly took it there first. The car came out of with more wrong with it than when it went in.The guys at Muffler Man not only took care of what was wrong but double checked what the other guys did. Went out of their way to explain and reassure my wife who was not taking all of it well. NEVER going back to the other guys. Muffler Man is the best.

Today our truck ran out of gas right in front of Muffler Man....the guys inside saw my husband struggling to push the truck back a few feet while I steered so we can get it in the parking lot and off the road. One gentleman offered his vehicle and a gas can to us to go get gas. All while my rotars for my car where there being turned. What a wonderful bunch of guys.....will be going back to them for other repairs needed in the future. Keep up the good work! You all really made our day by treating us with hospitality.

We took our car in and were told 4 separate things were wrong and would cost 1200 dollars. We said we wanted to check prices around because that seemed like a lot. Especially since one thing was a new fuel pump and we recently had that fixed. He did not want to let us get a second opinion and tried to make us feel stupid. We asked a friend to look at it and gave us a suggestion. We just needed to clean the throttle body and car runs fine now. Cost us nothing. Not a trustworthy place. Did not investigate thoroughly. And would have cost us so much money that we dont have when it was really a quick cheap fix.

Jim is back. Muffler Man at Gull Rd. and S. Riverview Drive is a repair facility my family has visited for decades. Jim, (counter, manager, whatever he is!) makes the visit friendly and sets very reasonable prices.He makes sure the work done on your vehicle is properly completed and quick to inform you when they find other issues.None of my family or friends that take advantage of their services have ever been subjected to the unfair practices of other repairs shops.Trustworthy and honesty are the two words that I would use to dscribe them.

Ive had work done here a few times now. This little place is not a convenient location, but Im having all my work done here from now on. Jim is an honest person and has the lowest price I can find in town. He will also level with you and tell you what problems are safety issues, whats worth getting fixed, etc. Hes an outstanding gentleman. Great business.

You wont go wrong with these guys -- have done lots of business with the Riverview shop. Fast, great prices, good work. Always outstanding customer service and friendly people. I would recommend for any general automotive work,not just brakes & exhaust. They do most all general maintenance work. They also do custom exhausts and other specials - plus they dont hammer you with unwanted up-sell junk like most places. You wont be sorry.

My family has always gone here for vehicle maintenance and advice. I trust them more than anywhere else if it comes to something i need help with because nobody i know can figure it out. They are polite here and get the job done properly. Sometimes pricy but hey thats wat car parts do to ya is break a hole in ur wallet/pocket. Lol

Been there twice, and was pleased and satisfied both times. They seem honest and competent.

They took 2 extra days to do a job they said they could do in 1. They changed the timing belt, tore it done and resembled it 2 additional times. My car still doesnt run. Then they left it in their parking lot unlocked. And they still charged my $425.

I have given two star on account of two things:1. I replaced right control arm and left wheel bearing after diagnostics, totaling over $900 last year, the steering got tight and i was again asked to get diagnostic which i did and was told that it is the steering shaft issue, that part isnt available even at the manufacturer and the steering was fine till i got it into this place.2. Just today i replaced right bearing and also told them that exhaust was checked last time and you guys quoted me $150 for the job, they happily said yes yes and now they changed the resonator which lowered the noise however the emission is still very slow or about nothing and they WANT me to run another diagnostics of $35 so that they can see what is wrong with it ...So 1 star is for timely service, 2nd star is for their prices. However, they are not professionally trained to deal with customers and do not portay clear picture of ones problem which makes the customer run multiple diagnostics which is kind of an extortion of money in a legal way.I would recommend that they should check the part e.g. exhaust completely and tell the customer everything wrong in it in 1 go. If you want to earn $70 instead of $35 just make your diagnostic checking price $70 not $35 ... Hope they learn

My vehicle was getting loud, and so I decided that I would give Muffler Man on Riverview another chance (they had previously made a repair that lasted ONE DAY to another vehicle of mine). When putting my car on the lift, they damaged my vehicle.They made a repair to the vehicles muffler. The noise and vibrations were better but still present, and they continued to worsen each week as well develop a leak. Muffler Man refused to look at it again. I took it to another shop where I was informed that the welds done by Muffler Man were done improperly and leak. I will never be back to this location.

My girlfriend took her car in for a muffler warranty... They placed the hoist arms under the floorboards, severely damaging the underside of the car when it was lifted... They denied all responsibility. The new muffler was obviously used and rusted. Very poor customer service and quality. If you value your car, do not bring it here.

I hit a pothole yesterday, and my car immediately starting sounding like it was jet engine.Great.I dropped of my car today at 11:30 and advised them I thought I broke the muffler.At about 1:00 pm, somebody called and advised me of a hole in a pipe, and that they could replace it, or just weld it for about $50.By three, I had picked my fixed car up.This is the only place I know of (well, this, and the muffler man on west main), that will actually suggest a cheaper repair than what you initially thought. They are timely and unfailingly polite. I strongly recommend them.

Jim seems to run an honest and fair shop. Good prices, quality work, and honest inspections. Based on my experiences after bringing my car to this shop on multiple occasions, I dont see myself using any other shop in Kalamazoo in the future.

I have been a customer of Muffler Man since 79. I took my first car there because my dad used them when I was younger. Its unfortunate that the same Quality is gone. I took my car in for new struts and they screwed the pooch. They lied to me about the repairs and it cost me $1500 to fix the damage and repair the struts at another garage. If you want a muffler, its great. If you need anything more, find a real garage.

I only talked to them on the phone, but they were friendly and helpful.

I thought I had found a place where I could trust the work being done on my vehicle...after bringing my Jeep to be diagnosed on Feb 11 2016. I informed Jim that a local mechanic where I had gotten an oil change done, said that my ball joints needed checking..I brought it to THIS shop to get the work done..Jim said Ill give you a call.. he called later to say it was not my ball joints it was a U joint... 2 months later my front tire starts bouncing around ..so I ask a friend...certified mechanic.. if he would ck it out. He jacked it up just to ck it.. he said its your upper ball joint.. come back tomorrow after 5 and Ill replace them..when he got the wheel and tires off he was flabbergasted because the lower ball joints were completely shot.. Unbelievable to be told its not my ball joints which better mean someone actually looked and inspected them...Im a grandma taxi..up and down the roads carrying grandkids...I cant believe this was something that would happen here... Theres more to this story..but I dont know what more I could have done to try and make sure to be in a safe vehicle..Ive recommended this shop to many...but no more

Called this Muffler Man shop to ask what the torque specs are for my car. The response I got was until it is tight. It shows an unwillingness and/or an inability to help. If your staff is that poorly trained, or just unwilling to put any effort into customer service, then I will take my business elsewhere.

Busy shop that did a nice job replacing ball joints and tie-rods on a 97 Tracer. Needed to bring it back due to a squeak and they adjusted it for free.

Took my car in for a bent exhaust pipe, the guy looked at it and told me i need to cut out 2 areas of pipe and weld in new pipes. I took it down the road to another guy and he lifted it up, bent it back and it was done in 20 mins. THEY LIED BIG TIME TO ME. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
