Kalapawai Market is a wonderful local market on the North Shore Oahu. The market sells about anything you may need or want, a fixture in the local community for years! Cool little grab and go store. Turkey sandwich was very good and I liked how cold just get anything you wanted to drink and werent tired too a soda. Fair pricing as well!

Perfect spot to grab your beach snack! I absolutely love the hummus wrap, and there are fun trinkets and things for sale in the shop to peruse while you wait for your food to be prepared.

Love this place. We came here to grab some food and drinks to go kayaking and picnic on Moku Nui. I love the guava bread. Sandwiches were delicious. Outdoor seating provided

We stopped here three times over our ten-day trip, which shows you how much we liked it! Excellent coffee, pastries made in-house (especially the mini lilikoi cheesecake), and lunch/dinner options. Very friendly staff and cute decor. Would definitely come back!

This is a good little market with everything you need for an easy picnic lunch at the beach, including beer and wine. Prices are high though! Lunch for two with a bottle of wine was $60+!

Great food! Fresh ingredients and flavorful. At $10-14 per sandwich, with side, it’s super reasonable for the amount of food you get. The market has a good selection of wines and unique food items as well. Will come here again and again. The staff was friendly and patient with my questions about ordering at the deli and some store items. Aloha thrives here!!!

The perfect place to pick up lunch on your way to or from Kailua Beach. The folks are friendly, and they make a GREAT chicken caesar wrap!

Deli great. Groceries have pretty high prices.

The food here is painfully mediocre. I got the humus veggie wrap. There was almost no hummus on it and the veggies tasted less than fresh. The service was kind of slow and not the most hospitable. It’s a good quick stop but nothing to travel for.

I always enjoy walking the beach in the morning with a cup of coffee from the Kalapawai Market. Some of the best coffees and lattes on the island.

I am appalled by what happened today. We are in from Seattle and I go to this location many times on my trips as does my family. We have a family home on the beach in Kailua and this WAS one of our favorite spots but not after today. We are all vaccinated and have a very severe disabled 14 yr old with us who is non-verbal and in a stroller. My family goes to the door of which we are turned around and not allowed in, whereas, inside a 5 yr old not wearing a mask is inside. We are all wearing masks but they refuse to let a severely disabled child in because he has no mask. Think about this! What’s the difference between the 5 yr old not wearing a mask and a disabled child who is medically cleared by the airline to not wear a mask and fully vaccinated. Absolutely no empathy by the staff and rude! We Willis be taking our business elsewhere and this is considered discrimination against ADA laws. Shame on you!!! Staff was rude and sad to see…..you should train your staff better…

Love this place. They have a great selection of beer and the deli inside always has good food. The staff is always very welcoming.

French dip had very little meat on it, bread roll was good tho.. not impressed for a $13 sandwiches

Great spot! There are two locations in Kailua, they make a pretty good sandwich, their location in dt Kailua has amazing dinners!! The one near Kailua Beach Park has all you need for beaching, great little store with friendly staff; but they get busy, just order off the menu, custom requests are often lost. I would highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this place. We went every morning before we headed to the beaches. Definitely would recommend this place. My husband and I loved the BTA bagel for breakfast ❤️

Amazing food!! Great at accommodating a large group even in COVID times with limits on table sizes. Great service! Fish and chips, Auctioned fresh fish, Fish tacos, Pork nachos, and the kids grilled cheese with fries were all amazing!! Good size portions! Great flavor! We will definitely be back!

Favorite place for coffee and to go food in Kailua! Great tasting coffee and a large selection of food that you wouldnt normally get at a small market!Also props to the staff working on 31MAY! Even at 6am when their espresso machine broke, they didnt just say they couldnt make a drink, they offered creative solutions to make something similar and equally delicious.

The most delicious bagel with lox Ive ever had... And Im from New York. The bagel is soft, so when you bite into it the whole sandwich doesnt fall apart. The flavors are absolutely delicious. I would come back here every single morning if I could. And the prices cant be beat. If youre visiting the area, you MUST MUST MUST try Kalapawai Market 😋🙌🏽❤️🤙🏽

Friendly deli clerk boy and front cashier lady. Good finds. Got the Kailua club with mac salad and some dolmas (Greek/Mediterranean grape leaves). And of course, 2 cans Coca-Cola. Why cans?? The plastic bottles werent cold. Plus, drink one before my food coma nap on Kailua Beach (locals side). Then drink one afta when its time to get my plump char siu bao pork buns back on TheBus to Chinatown HNL. 66 or 67. Goodyear Tire Shop next to Central Pacific Bank. And the OTHER. Kalapawai Market. Word.

Omg the burgers here are to die for I love them when they have them. I believe they only serve them around holidays but I may be wrong. Staff is soo nice, also this would be a cute place to get little souvenirs to send home to family on the mainland.

Inside Kalapawai Market the cashier lady was very Disrespectful to us! My 1 year old son rip off my wife’s mask and right after that my wife was trying to put the mask back on and the cashier lady was yelling at my wife to put her mask on, while my wife was putting in back on. The front desk lady got “aggressive” and kept mouthing off to us, to the point I asked to speak with the Supervisor and even the supervisor told the cashier lady to calm down. Very unprofessional and Very poor customer service. Do not recommend come in here.

Everything you may need for a beach day. They dont move with a quickness though, could be a 5-10 minute wait in line during rush hour times.

Weve been stopping by here for years every time were on the island. The owner is always nice. Its a small, cute place thats been around forever. I usually purchase a cap or mug for buddies when I stop-by. The sandwiches are really good and fresh.

Nice little Oasis on the roundabout! Dont you love when you just go with the intuition after having a bad experience and you end up in the perfect place?So this is like your classic market stop with all sorts of offerings and in the back is a little restaurant. Nice selection of fresh salads sandwiches and meals. Really reasonable cost and fantastic staff!So glad I found this please and stopped in. My favorite part was the kitchen guys joking around with me and watching Gordon Ramsay Hells kitchen with them while waiting for my awesome house salad with turkey, eggs, black olives and tons of fresh greens, Sweet find!

Great place to pick up food and drinks for the beach. Staffs were friendly and sweet. The deli food tasted pretty good and priced reasonably for the portions and flavor. You can eat in in the deli (two tables seating 5 each) or at the porch (4 tables seating 4 each)

What a great place to stop in for lunch! My husband and I stopped in for the deli sandwiches we had heard about, and were not disappointed. Reasonably priced, especially considering you are getting a good fresh meal right near the beach. I also appreciated the antique, local feel of the market. Good little cafe, deli, bakery, and general store, all in one. I went here a couple times and they offer everything like grilled burgers (which looked delicious), a variety of coffee, smoothies, and iced tea. They also have everything youd expect at a convenience store, like sunscreen, bottled drinks, etc. Cool spot, I recommend it.

This is admittedly my first beach-side party store review but when I walked in they were friendly, helpful, the food was FRESH, and they were dusting the ceiling fans and otherwise cleaning hard-to-reach places. Respect!I dont always patronize beach-side party stores in Oahu, but when I do...; )

Kalapawai Market offers a variety of made to order sandwiches and convince store options. There are cold, hot, and breakfast sandwich options, plus salads and wraps. Staff was courteous and sandwiches were ready quickly. Only have it for stars as my sandwich included an ingredient not listed (didnt realize until I was a substantial distance from deli, so to be fair I didnt give them an opportunity to correct the mistake. Still, would visit again. Also! They have several deli items available like fruit salad, pasta salad, samosas, etc. All looked delicious.
