New customer service Ro Super nice and helpful. Nice inventory but cannot wait for the 2019 arrivals... You need to be quick or pre-order your vehicles cuz they seem to sell out super fast but they do have a huge truck inventory I took some recent pictures which was helpful and Dave the manager is amazing hes always giving us so much of his time and explain some of the financing and what inventory to expect. Why I decided to wait for the 2019 since the 2018 are almost all sold at this time. The color and model I want is not available currently! Sometimes it is worth the wait to find your perfect vehicle! Ps. My Mom. Just loves her Prius... I cannot even get her to buy my 2016 Honda so I can buy a Toyota!!

In April 2015 we purchased our first new vehicle off the lot of Maui Toyota. This was a big deal for us and Cherish made this experience smooth sailing. 3 months after our purchase, we found rust on the roof of our brand new 2015 4 Runner. When I took my car in to Toyota they refused to cover it under the warranty and stated that we needed to pay out of pocket. I just couldnt believe we paid 40k and this was they type of customer service we were receiving. After another 3 months of going back and forth with their customer service team they finally agreed to cover it. Now 4 years later, our hinges to our hatch is completely rusted from underneath. Again, Toyota refuses to cover it because our warranty only covers up to 3 years/36 miles. Which makes me question - why did it take us 3 months to have this fixed the first time if this is your so called policy? If I had known this was the type of customer service that comes with purchasing a vehicle from Maui Toyota I wouldnt have bought anything off their lot. Its unfortunate that these great cars come with the worst customer service. Please be aware and do your research about their rust issues on all of their vehicles before making a purchase. Mahalo Maui Toyota for my rusted 2015 4 Runner! Way to go!

Im editing my 1 star review because David had the brains to call me and discuss what was wrong. Thanks David.8 months later - So I originally posted a 1 star review and changed that to a 4 star after the phone call I got from David. Today I changed it to a 5 start after I walked into their showroom and bought a brand new Tacoma truck. Ive bought a lot of cars in my life. Sometimes the experience is bad sometimes its good. I was very pleased with this experience. They were extremely busy but Sixto, our salesman, was literally running to get everyone taken care of. Best of all, I was shocked at the pricing. These guys dont jack the price up just because they can. They could too, being the monopoly on this island with such ridiculously high demand. They do not exploit that. Their price on this truck was $3000 less than 90% of the dealers on the mainland.Keep up the good work guys. Im sold.

I requested an appointment online and the online form I specifically said the driver side actuator on my 2013 4Runner needed to be replaced. After a couple of days Maui Toyota called me to schedule the appointment and I told them it was the driver side actuator that needs to be replaced. I also said since the vehicle is there if they could also service the transmission. On the day of the service they said it would take about four hours and that is expected since they are the only Toyota Dealership on the island and they are always slammed. When they called me to tell me the car was ready they said it would cost almost $700.00 to replace the actuator which is kind of what i expected from a dealership. But when I got here they said I owed $155.00 for the diagnostic and I would need to schedule another appointment to replace the door actuator. I asked if they serviced the transmission and they said it was not on the work order.Basically I paid Maui Toyota $155.00 for them to tell me something I already knew was wrong with the car. I did order the part ($400.00) from them but I will be replacing it myself. I guess the worse thing is that not once was I informed that they would not be fixing the problem and they basically spent a few minutes to diagnose the problem and thats all was done. They got me! Good hustle Maui Toyota!12/3/2019 Update: A few days later they contacted me and offered to install the part ($400.00) at no charge. It was a good gesture and after it was installed I was going to bump up my review to 3 stars but that good feeling soon faded. Two weeks after they installed the new actuator, the actuator on the opposite side of the car failed. On the original $155.00 diagnostic receipt it says they checked both driver and passenger side actuators. I called Maui Toyota but they were not going to try to make this right and I would basically have to go through the same process again. I would have to pay for another diagnostic then buy another overpriced replacement part. I was not worth arguing with them about it so I ordered a $50.00 replacement part from Ebay and I installed it faster than the Maui Toyota tech did on the other side of our vehicle. This review is not meant to bash the people who work there. Im sure they are good hard working people but the policies and procedures provided by the upper management team needs to be changed to ensure customer satisfaction.

First and foremost at takes two to three weeks just to get an appointment, because they are the only game in town do factory service for Toyota. I purchased my Toyota in 2007 and have had amazingly poor service.A latest experience:I had my A/C replaced where they quoted me $1800 and two days work, ok fine. It ended up taking them 3 hours and they still charged me $1800 when their stated hourly rate is $110. Minus parts they ended up charging me about $330 hr. Spoke with the manager and no response besides that is how much the job costs.During the A/C repair they they removed and broke my dash and my reverse lever, which they didnt say anything about!! Then when I told them about it they said they would replace the dash, but not fix the reverse as I couldnt prove that they did it because it took me so long to get another appointment.I have a Honda too and they have great service (i can often get in the same day) and have had no problems with my Honda at all. Save yourself some headache buy a Honda or make some serious cash and open a Toyota Authorized service department to give these guys a run for their money. It shouldnt be hard.

They are the ONLY Toyota dealership. The service group continues to frustrate me. They seem defensive at the service desk, and yet uninformed enough and disinterested in the sales area.Their car repairs are slow, theyve twice had issues recognizing what to fix despite being clear in the last 1.5 years and recently broke other parts of my car during a recall replacement and then tried to hide it. They struggle with customer service and good communication (over a month of no contact for repairs and part issues so far) and cost WAY MORE than any other Toyota dealership repairs Ive had done in the 12 years Ive had Toyotas here and on mainland. Many people with Toyotas have had a lot of the same reported issues.Perhaps getting a new car here is good, I dunno. When I tried to talk to the sales crew and discus new and coming models, they seemed barely aware of them--my wife knew more than did after a few hours research online.

TL;DR - Do your own research on parts, NAPA carries DENSO (Toyota OEM) radiators for $200 less.Don’t expect the parts department to answer the phone, or return any calls. They don’t give out part numbers. Insane prices, typical stealership bs. If the prices weren’t so outrageous people wouldn’t be running to online sources.EDIT 10/18/19Parts Manager Wil was kind enough to respond to my review below. Please let me clarify that this review is in no way a personal attack on any employees of Maui Toyota. There was no indication that you had a problem with pricing or us not providing the part number. There is no value in me causing an uproar over the price of parts to an employee that has no control over prices. Do I take this to mean that Maui Toyota would have cut me a deal on the part if I expressed my discontent? On a previous recent visit while making a purchase, I asked for the part number of a specific body trim component and was denied with the explanation: its policy.” It takes me 5 minutes to find the correct part number online. I have diagrams for my vehicle at home. It’s helpful to be able to compare the dealership given part number, to what I have found myself. With that being said, while the parts department is under no obligation to provide part numbers, it doesn’t do any favors toward fostering good customer relations.Every parts site I have ordered from has required a VIN to ensure the correct part fitment, so the reasoning that withholding part numbers to prevent and avoid any issues from Improper information that may be given or miscommunication between the customer and our counter staff when looking up items” is, unfortunately, a weak excuse. To be fair, I am sure parts department staff has dealt with numerous customers unkind enough to blame them when the wrong part arrives, after the customer themselves failed to do their own research.Let me set the scene: The radiator in my 04 is trashed. I need a new one, I want OEM, and I need it ASAP. Until I get one, the truck is a lawn ornament. Do you have one in stock? No? Do you know when youll get one? No? I don’t bother asking for the part number because I know what the answer will be: No. Yet, I was still eager to give Maui Toyota my business. The employee that assisted me will attest that I attempted to pay for the part that day to ensure I would receive it. He was nice enough to take down my number to call after getting more information on its future availability. The truck was dead in the water and the call never came. I had to turn to another source. Not getting a call back turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I incorrectly assumed that no one else on island carried OEM quality parts. I drove over to NAPA, measured the core and purchased a DENSO brand radiator for $170. As you know, DENSO is an Original Equipment Manufacturer for Toyota. I was quoted ~$360 for an OEM radiator by Maui Toyota. I purchased the radiator, had it installed, and amazingly even had beer money left over. That’s parts AND labor for less than the price of a single part. Now I ain’t no financial accountant, but I don’t know what kind of overhead justifies being charged more than DOUBLE for the same OEM quality part. So while the term “stealership” may not be savory to your ears, there is a reason the label exists.Wil, thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my review. No hard feelings? If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be busy trying to keep Maui batu heads from stealing my cherry Gen 1.

The Maui Toyota service department is the laziest I have seen. Our next vehicle will NOT be a Toyota again--and I have been a Toyota fan for over 15 years. Two hours for an oil change (?) when it took three weeks to get an appointment and then at the three hour mark while I waited there oh its ready...how long? She lied to me and said just when their own paperwork said it was ready an hour earlier. They were too lazy to check their customer service lounge. Its an oxymoron ...I wish I could post zero stars.

I asked for a part number for molding clips and I was denied. After spending 37 grand they couldn’t find it in themselves to do the right thing? “It’s against our policy.” Seriously? You over-charge for your vehicles, and then rip us off by forcing us to buy your over-price parts. Not the best policy. It was a 50 cent item! Was it worth it?! To lose a customer for life? It’s a terrible thing here on Maui that we don’t have any competition. They know it nd take full advantage of it.Response to parts manager:Thank you for the follow up and detailed response to my recent review. I can appreciate & understand why this policy was put into place, now that it has been explained. However, it is still a fact dealerships overcharge for OEM parts. You should have 10-15% discount (lifetime) for customers who purchase a vehicle from you. But even at that discount we can find the same quality item elsewhere for fraction of the price you charge. And as for charging MSRP for all your vehicles is robbery. The only reason you do this is because you can. If Maui had another dealership not owned by the monopoly would create healthy competition, and Maui Toyota and the community would benefit by it, forging trust repeat customers.Aside from my grievances, I love my vehicle. Toyota makes a great truck. I just wish Maui Toyota would make great relationships by not taking advantage of being the only game in town.

Lets say Maui Toyota is a little shady and since they control the monopoly on Maui as theres no other Toyota dealer I have had nothing but unpleasant issues with customer service but after long issues they were resolve but never easy going always an amazing amount of time taken for simple issues that any other mechanic would breeze thru. From deceives I am doing my last compliment oil, fluids and tires rotation and had a feeling to test if they really do what they say theyre going to do and to my disappointment I marked my tires and oils cap position. So my truck gets pulled back after 2 hours of waiting and I check my tires and to my believe to see that tires werent rotated and oil cap looks like been moved. So I confront and ask to speak to a manage and Jason service manager goes to check his cameras to find that indeed they were not done ( take pride in your work what ever that is !)So here I have to sit for another undisclosed amount of time.Really be nice to have an alternative to Toyota dealer in this island to chose from as once your credibility is broken it really makes you think twice on doing business with such. With all that in mind said people check and make sure this type of things dont happen to you.Really put a hold on me doing business again.have a great new year Maui Toyota !

I Started my new Truck search via the Maui Toyota website. I found it very easy to locate the truck that I wanted. I sent my request for a price quote and was given a great quote of about $500 below MSRP. I was contacted via email from Kelvin Nishida, we discussed my Trade in Vehicle and I set up a time to come in for a trade in quote. Trade in quote from David was a little bleak due to my vehicle being a little soft on the market. David Whitney was able to get me more for my trade in by checking with some other contacts he had. We agreed upon the Trade in and Purchase price, which I feel were both very fair. My truck was still in transit at this time so we set up a time for me to come in to fill out the credit app. At this time I was told my Truck had just come off the boat and we made an appointment for me to come back in a couple of days to do the deal. So far i have only spent about an hour of my time on this process and was very happy about that. I came in on our scheduled day but I arrived about a half hour early. Cee Morris, the Finance person, took me into her office right away even though I was early. I thought I would be spending a few hours there to deal with this purchase. Much to my surprise the process took barely 1 hour. It actually took me longer just to get all my stuff moved in to my new Truck. I have purchased about 12 new vehicles over the last 30 some years including one that I sold to myself while working for a Dealership. This was the best experience I have ever had in buying a new vehicle including the one I sold to myself. Kelvin, David and Cee made this a very easy, quick and fair priced experience. I would recommend Maui Toyota and especially these three people very highly to anyone I know. Thank You Kelvin, David and Cee and the rest of the Maui Toyota Team. P.S. Loving My new 2012 Tacoma see you soon.

VERY VERY POOR SERVICESMaui Toyota (Service Department) It has been so frustrating to deal with that department they lack in their communication they have no skills and they are not about customer satisfaction! It has been a horrible experience from our first service we took our Tacoma in for a regular service of oil change, tire rotation etc. Our truck got returned to us 3 hours later just to find out later on that day that our AC is not working. Try to call them to notify them and to ask questions no one answers or returns our phone calls at all. We had to drive down their from where we live a total of (appox) 80 miles to an from. From their it just got worse our blower motor for the AC started rattling an shocking me when I told them I was getting shocked all they did was laugh at me. Our windshield shattered from the inside so again we was without our truck for 3 weeks this time. When it was finished our truck was damaged while in their care a dentist in the hood, deep scrapes along the side of the door etc. We felt that we had a LEMON VEHICLE but they always find excuses after excuses AC problems 3 times, shocks still rattles, the bed liner is longer then the bed itself causing damages to the tail gate, our bumper is loose from when they removed it an the list goes on an on..... Something needs to get done about that department maybe they should start with their management first... The funny thing is that a Toyota Tundra has always been my dream vehicle...
