When I look back at the reviews there seems to be a pattern. The reviews seems to be for custom doors. I didnt notice that before as this company was referred by my parents, who used them for custom doors and had a great experience. I believe they should continue with custom doors and NOT windows. The third party sub contractors were not professional, by helping themselves to drinks in my refrigerator, leaving chicken bones in the lawn for my dog to find and leaving metal pieces in the driveway. I spoke to the owner who said, These things happen, we have to let go and move on. really. They did give me a 3% discount on the project to be fair but I wouldnt recommend them for windows. I was told when they would show up and I should adjust me work schedule accordingly - once they didnt even show up. Communication was a challenge and Andrew was defensive and not apologetic for most of the project. I could go on but you get the point of my experience and my personal opinion of the situation.

We got our door from custom door store. They have many display models so you get to see your door. Chuck made it very easy to purchase. John the installer was incredibly professional and it looks so beautiful

This is by far the best door company around. I called three companies and Andrew at the Custom Door Shop was the promptest reply. He also gave me a quote within minutes. I went to visit the store and was impressed with the selection and they way they treated me. (seriously from the very start). I ended up ordering a custom door and its already been delivered and installed all for a competitive price.

From our first visit, I knew this place was special and customer oriented. We needed new front doors on our home. We were shown many examples and then discussed the pros and cons of each. When we decided on our doors and accessories, the bill was fair, accurate and comprehensive -- no surprises. A representative then came to our home to measure everything. And then two months later -- just as promised -- the doors were delivered and expertly installed. I am a surgeon and value precise and meticulous work. The installers demonstrated those same qualities and the result is a beautiful, sturdy pair of doors which are a perfect welcome to our home.I would recommend them highly.

Our project consists of a front door with sidelights, a French door to our back patio, and all of our windows. This place is the absolute best option around.Andrew was the greatest. He spent so much time with my wife and me. I promise I am the most particular and frustrating buyer in the world and I’ve never had such a pleasant buying experience. I asked him thousands of questions, literally everything, ranging from the interlayer in the glass to the difference between one ogee and another. He was so knowledgeable about everything. Also, I trust these guys so much already. During our process there were multiple things that came up that changed our options/quote some, and there was plenty of room for increasing margins on their side. And in each of those cases, it instead lowered our overall cost. Also, before we reached out to Andrew we had gotten a quote from somebody else who did not even recognize one of the problems with one our door situations that Andrew recognized immediately; this simple example of expertise would have cost us thousands of dollars if we had gone with the other company (will not name them), but instead this was handled ahead of time and actually saved us a few hundred dollars.We haven’t finished our project (will update with more details later).

Purchased a door the door was not even 7 months old and something flew in a wind storm and cracked the door, they were no help what so ever wouldnt help in any way, a month after that the impact glass cracked and again wouldnt do a thing this is after the door had to be fixed six times because of leaks, and light coming through . I didnt buy a home depot door this door to many might not be much but $6,500 for a door to me is expensive and it shouldnt leak you shouldnt see day light and it should not crack or the glass shouldnt crack for no reason at all. They are not helpful in correcting the problems or even offering to help in anyway, and can care less after they sell you something, my advice I guess go to home depot the service might be better and it wont cost you a arm and a leg for something that didnt even last 1 year wouldnt allow me to post I had to give them at least one star but that was not my choice. Beautiful doors! Pricey but worth it. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that it took a really long time to get them and the installer didnt read the details on the permit and it had to be re-done. But I love them!

My new impact windows & sliders are incredible. The sliders slide open and closed like they are on ice. One finger and really heavy sliders open and close. The house is much quieter and my electric bill is lower because of the Low-E glass. The installation was quick and perfectly done. I highly recommend Custom Door Shop.

I will start with a poistive by saying the sales professional in the showroom (Delray location) and the installer (from Jupiter location) were both consummate professionals and treated us very, very well. However, this is where the good review ends. We waited nearly 5 months for our solid mahogany custom wood door and side light; upon delivery of the door it was discovered the door handle hardware, which had been installed at their offsite warehouse facility, was obviously crooked. The installer told us that when he went to pick up the door he was told by an employee that the door handle was ‘faulty’ (and yet it was installed and delivered that way to us.....hmmmmm, interesting). This should disturb both potential customers and the owners of this company. Once the door was delivered to my house, the installer proceeded to install the door. The installer pointed out the handle to me and told me he was told it was ‘faulty’ and a new one was being ordered. Upon further inspection, I noticed it was not that the handle was ‘faulty’, but obvious that whomever drilled the holes for the handle was someone who didn’t care at all about craftmanship nor had no clue what they were doing because the holes were measured incorrectly (yet they installed the handle anyway). So before the installer finished completely I called the office to report the issue and emailed photos at their request. I was told it wasn’t what I thought; it was only a bad handle. Side note - isn’t it annoying when the person on the other end of the phone who is sitting behind a desk and not onsite visually looking at the issue, tells you that it isn’t what you think?! Ok, back to my review. I then took additional photos of the obvious crooked handle and did my own measurements to confirm what I had known to be the problem....and what do you know, the hole was over a quarter of an inch off center, which made the handle crooked when installed! The office said we will order a new handle and have a service tech install it when it arrives. A week later they attempted to install what they claimed to be a faulty handle, but low and behold.....it wasn’t the handle at all, but the hole was measured wrong. How ironic! They proceed to tell me they will then ‘fix’ the problem by placing a dowl in the existing mis-measured hole, filling it with wood filler, then place small shims, and then re-drill the hole in my brand new door that I was paying $10,000 for. At this point, wouldn’t you be thinking....”Hey, this isn’t what I paid full price for. I paid for a brand new quality solid wood door with no issues or defects.” Is this really what The Custom Door Shop thinks is $10k worth of quality?! If you were in my shoes, how would you feel when you brought this up to the owner’s son, Andrew, and he tells you that a new door replacement was not even on the table as a remedy, but only a $200 credit. Clearly his idea of a sufficient discount for their obvious lack of quality control and my inconvenience. This is an insult! I do not think it is unreasonable for my husband and I to feel as though we are being insulted. Is it really that ridiculous to expect a new wood door replacement or significant discount? Expecting us to pay 100% for a brand new custom door that was delivered with an obvious defect is just ridiculous. I also think it is rather disconserting to hear the owner’s son, Andrew, tell you (a paying customer) that “as long as you can’t see the mistake and it was repaired, what’s the big deal? No one will ever know.” Well Andrew, WE KNOW and now SO DOES ANYONE ELSE READING THIS REVIEW! Andrew’s comment sounds a lot like it comes from someone who would encourage employees to cover up a mistake in hopes the customer won’t notice. I want to end by saying, if you want to be pay 100% for a custom made product delivered with defects due to lack of quality control then proceed to use this company. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle of a 6 month long process and the insults from Andrew and shop elswhere; read the reviews on other custom door companies and hire them instead.

When installer was cussing and being unprofessional, we payed agreed amount for doors and found someone else to install. They used permant marker on each piece of board and had to use different products to scrub. They unknowingly pulled the permit and called and turned us in to the county and we had to get our own permit which we did with no problem
