Carrys good variety of items. Friendly service. Just very high prices.
I love coming to the Valero it has been my neighborhood store for 13 years. I stopped in before work this morning and I was treated very poorly. The cashiers name was Mindy. She was very rude and rushing me. My rewards card would not work and she said “ oh well I can’t do anything about it” The items I bought were advertised as 2 for $3 but rang up at full price. I will not be going back to that store when she’s working and I will be making a call to corporate. There is no excuse for the way I was treated today! I have never been treated like that at that store everyone is usually so nice and welcoming. It’s sad.
Okay so the store may not be brand new, and a lot of other negative remarks very possible exists in their min regarding this place. But because of this day, this experience, I would rate then eve higher if I could! I ran in to grab a fountain drinks (remember this is after the last week or so of feeling like death) anyway I accidentally poured a whole 32oz drink all over that area. Ice and all. The attendant was sweet enough to bring me over some cleaning clothes so once I got the mess up I walked over to pay for my drink. This man said “don’t worry about it, I can tell you’re having a pretty bad day.” 😭😭😭😭 y’all when I worked at subway I would always go above and beyond to ensure people got their food at a fair price. When I worked for BOA I was probably the most click happy agent there when it came to retuning unnecessary fees. But I truly believe I am part of a dieing breed, most people don’t care how you get yours, they are more focused on the time it takes the server/waiter/ clerk/ cashier to get to them. Because in our society “me” is all that matters. Try shining a bright light fo someone trapped in a dark place, just once if that’s all you can do, that light might just be the light that carry’s them to their next step in greatness.
I love every one in there i go there bout 6 timeis a day
One particular cashier is always EXTREMELY unprofessional. No hi, how are you? Not even friendly in the least. Every time I come in she is leaned on the counter scrolling on her phone and makes me feel like Im totally inconveniencing her.
DO NOT GET GAS HERE!!!! They run the pump and dont give the amount of gas they are supposed to. For a couple years now $10 gives me a quarter of a tank, EVERY TIME at my regular gas station that I now go to down the road, Shell or BP. I drive the 2 hour drive to school and back, and still have enough gas to get to work down the road. When I first moved to this area I pulled into the Valero/Fas Mart on 36 and got $10 in my car and my husbands, literally went one minute down Oak Grove (if you live here you know it is across the street) and BOTH our gas lights came on and my jeep started to sputter as if it was out of gas. Funny how my 2 reliable stations, that are right down the road on either end btw, I always get 1/4 of a tank with $10. When I told the manager on duty he basically said Oh well, no apologies or anything! Save your money and your time and go to the BP on the west end, or Shell on the east end....
