The highlight here is the phenomenal selection, and more or less fair pricing. However it can get a bit busy during peak hours (Friday evening), the parking lot is a mess, and the store isn’t super organized. You need a car to get here.You’re greeted by the parking lot immediately out front which is a cluster. The spaces are all slightly too narrow, poorly painted, and with little room to maneuver. Luckily they have an overflow lot which is much better. Just go there and you’ll save yourself some time.Inside is much better with a warehouse style feel (similar to Bottle King), and aisle upon aisle of wine, beer and spirits. You’re sure to find your favorite, niche craft beer or millennial, hard sparkling water.Checkout is quick even during busier periods as there are lots of cashiers.Overall this is great place to buy your liquor if you have car. Just be sure to park in the back.

Its big, and the prices are right. I usually know exactly what I want, on occasion I will want something different and this is the place that has many selections. The lines can get long, however, the staff gets it short very quickly and I can appreciate that.

Unbeatable variety and prices. Very friendly staff too. We host several community events throughout the year and they are always willing to help, accommodate and support. They have also been a sponsor many a times.

Its huge store with several brands from all department. Only problem is the staffs are rude and not so happy looking face if you buy 1 or 2 bottles. They treat for such customers so differently.

Great selection of wines but you have to know what youre looking for.

Biggest liquor store in Jersey City with prices comparable or in some cases even better than duty free. The selection of beers and wines is so huge that you can end up spending an hour shopping for them. Selection for hard liquors like scotch isnt too fancy but they have most of the fast moving products available at good prices. They are at a deserted corner of Jersey City and not accessible unless you have a car. But if you do have a car they are great since they offer free parking. Do visit this store if you want to buy liquor in bulk for special occasions and parties.

Absolutely horrible staff and delivery. I waited for more than 2 hours for my order and when I called them I was told that the driver has gone for the night and they have no idea whether I’ll get my order or not. Please train your staff better or go out of business for the sake of customers.

Felt like buying wholesale and someone suggested Jersey City Super Buy-Rite because I would be saving some cash (we all love to save) so I went on a shopping spree only to get disappointed. Very rude manager! I called and spoke to one of the associates and asked if they have Blantons and was told that since its a hard to find bourbon, its reserved for members. But he said that if I buy a high end bottle, they would be able to sell me a bottle. When I got there and spoke to the manager, he gave me an attitude right away saying how do I know the associate if I cant describe what he looks like. Duh? We only spoke on the phone. As soon as he realize that, he just walk away and said Not happening! I understand that he cant sell it to me if im not a member. But just walking away just like that!?! What an a_s!

What really makes me sad is the answer of the employee : the cannot be used because they belong to the company. ? Of course they have to belong to the company. I have been going here since it opened and while the prices are good the service from the cashier’s is getting worse every time. Went in last week and cashier MM didn’t want to get me a box to put my 9 bottles of wine. Then she came back with a beer box.

They have a huge selection of alcohol plus mixers and even chips and dip. Staff is bleh. Rarely know what they have/had in stock and usually on their phone. But the price is right at this buy-rite, so worth it.

I visited on Thursday, March 18th and the cashiers on duty were terrible. They are not willing to assist at all. Sometimes the nicer cashiers will pack my purchase into a box for me but the cashier on duty this time was not willing to do anything more than scan the items and take my money. One even said to her colleague This is nice, no supervisors on duty. We can just chill. Also, there were no 1.75L Malibus, disappointing. At least, the stock guys were willing to help me.

One star? Well heres what happened, Ive been looking for a particular version of a bottle of rum that isnt made anymore, called Brugal 1888. On their website they claimed that they had two bottles of this particular version left in stock, I called to verify that they indeed did have two bottles of the particular version I was in search of, the gentleman confirmed that it was stock. I decided to drive out to NJ from NY to purchase these bottles. Once I arrived, I was met with not only disappointment but a sheer lack of customer service. At first, I couldnt find where these two particular bottles were so I asked customer service and the gentleman just pointed to the rum section, I ask a different gentleman and after explaining the situation he tells me, Oh, the pictures on the Internet arent always correct. We walk to the rum section where he shows me the new version of the rum, not the original version that theyre advertising on their website. The new version is nothing like the original and I was highly disappointed after being reassured over the phone that this place had what I was looking for. Anyways, please update your website and train your staff to interact better with customers. I have also provided photos of whats being advertised online vs. what is being sold. Shame.

They always have pretty much everything Im looking for, and the selection ranges from super value picks to much more premium options. The only thing I wish they had are some of my favorite Canadian beers (Rickards Red and Sleeman Cream Ale) although that might not be within their control... Im not sure if theyre even exported.

When to the store to pick up a bottle that I saw online. Ask the store associate to see if they have it in stock. The store associate stated that they have a case and sold some yesterday, but he could not access the cage area. The associate asks the Supervisor if he has access to the cage area. A phone call later to the Manager and the Supervisor pointed me to a different liquor bottle and said the bottle I was looking for was not in stock. The Supervisor also ask me if I was a Buy-Rite club member, which I was not. It seems like the Jersey City Super Buy-Rite doesnt want to sell the bottle that they have available and try to make lame excuses. Prices for whiskey in the store are way higher than other stores in the adjacent area. If you are looking to buy liquors, avoid the Jersey City Super Buy-Rite BS.

Decent prices, nothing but I bought or looked at was significantly discounted compared to other places. And this particular day that I went, it was a little bit empty in terms of wines that I was looking at, but I did find a great Rose, the whispering Angel Rose, which I absolutely recommend and the price is about $20 there which is the average price. There was a gentleman on the floor who is very helpful and attentive.

Im from Chicago and had a huge order that the Jersey City Super Buy-Rite assisted me with and handled it great! Excellent!! This store has a fairly friendly staff, and one of the associates assisted with carrying my items to the register. However, an attempt to overcharge on my transaction is a setback. Four pieces at $6.99 is clearly $1.75 per unit, not $2.25 per unit.

Always check the price you are being charged at the register. Bud Light 12 cans is advertised for $12.99 in the back but rings up for $13.99. This has happened at least 3 or 4 times for me and for multiple different items. This place is shady and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are knowingly doing this to rip people off.It’s also higher priced in general than other places in the area. Steer clear and go elsewhere.

This is a review for this stores website only, and I would rate a zero star if theres such option.I visited the store before and Im aware that it has good selections of spirits & competitive price. However, the website is a DESASTER, and its comical its CEOs face STAYS on the home page standing for a magazine that awarded him a Best Website prize when absolutely nothing else works correctly. The search tab is a joke, and the best thing is -- the shopping cart automatically deletes one item at a time every time you search for something new to add. Stay away from this award-winning website and save your life.

The discount depends on the wine you get, but in my experience 15% to 20%.Good selection of imported wines: Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly- Fumé from Loir Valley as well as an extensive selection of Bordeaux and Bourgogne wines.There is a respectable selection of Italian wines of various regions: Sangiovese, Tuscany, Barolo, etc.And if your preference is Malbec from Argentina, there is whole isle.Domestic wines are not forgotten.However, do not expect to find a really high-end wine.

If there are places that still provide free parking, in Jersey the liquor stores do provide free parking.I was thrilled to visit this place. Spotted my favorite Tiger beer from Singapore. I chose a new Beirut beer from Lebanon because it was a rare find among with a Victory Prima Plls from Philly and Brooklyn Lager.My friends who live locally mentioned an Indian Whiskey called Amrut thats available here. Another rare find.I decided to see if they had the new orange wine - This is wine fermented with the skin on and gives an orange color. Voila! Their expert staff found two, one from Austria and another from Slovenia. Looks like this is popular and only a few bottles were left.If you need it, its there. They have another Indian brand that is nostalgic to me, Old Monk Rum.Excellent collection of wine, liquor and beer from all over the world. Thank you

Buy-Rite has a good selection of beer and liquors and the prices are fair... The big bonus is the graffitti surrounding the building - its a bit faded now but its worth a look if you like street art.
