This channel for place was located about 10 minutes away from my hotel. Walks at night to grab a good ice cream are one of the best, this place does have gooooooood ice cream! Tip -try one of the fruit flavors and combine it with a non fruity one. Totally worth it!

A small ice cream place in Jersey City. We decided to go here after we heard some good reviews about this place and it was hardly 5 -10 mins walk from the Grove street path station. There were a lot of refreshing summer flavors, we tried the Jackfruit flavor. It was light and subtle and the jackfruit flavor was not overpowering. In all a really nice experience will keep going here and try out different flavors.

They give you a nice size scoop for the amount of money you are spending. The pistachio and coffee cookie ice cream are divine too. The workers are very friendly and positive.

Love love love this ice cream. There was a line, but it was worth the wait. I got pumpkin and vanilla fudge in a waffle cone and the memory of how delicious it was will accompany me back to Phoenix

Fantastic ice cream place in downtown Jersey City. They have an expansive menu with plenty of homemade options. They also rotate in seasonal flavors. They have a lot of creative creations. A little pricey but definitely worth the money. It does get busy but overall they move the line quickly and provide good service

Pros:- The ice cream itself is creamy.- The portion sizes are generous.- Torico offers a delicious sugar free vanilla that tastes like regular vanilla ice cream.- They have a broad variety of flavors and desserts.Cons:- Im docking one star because they cant seem to improve efficiency and get the lines moving at a faster pace. Im not sure if they need more help or better crowd management, but it doesnt seem to be a priority for the owner.

It was my first time going to Torico after waiting in line for around 20mins. For someone like me not much into ice cream, I now can’t wait to go again and try other flavors. Ordered ube, jackfruit, and guava sorbet; ultra delicious! They also give samples to try. The staff was very attentive and committed to excellent customer service.

Amazing ice cream place! Crazy busy on summer nights!

To be fair...our family loves this place. Im giving 3 stars because I ordered the dairy alternative option ( over their ice cream). I had a chocolate vanilla soft serve swirl made with almond milk. It was not good. Tasted like watery almond milk with sugar and had zero flavor. Probably should have gotten a sorbet instead.

Local treasure. All the kids that work there are great. Ice cream is high quality, not too dense or rich - just right. Love everything Ive had, but cherry pistachio is my go-to. Line can be long but moves quickly. Order online when youre pressed for time.

I normally dont stop for ice cream but, on the day it felt like 97 degrees, I think my car steered right to Toricos. I have passed by hundred times and theres always a line, even after restrictions died down. I figure either they have to have the golden ticket or the ice cream is really good? Well, the ice cream is REALLY good!!! The staff is young and helpfully polite. The place is small but quaint, as most neighborhood ice cream parlors were in my day (many moons ago). I lucked out a picked the one day it was too hot to even wait for this refreshing delight. Therefore, no line, no wait, just joy. Im the one usually recommending good eateries. This time a good creamery gets the nod!

It is a good place with nice vibes. The chocolate was nice but I gave 2 stars because the ice cream was too much sweet for me, I don’t like sugary taste and it was a lot of sugar specially in coffee flavour.

My husband and I saw a line out he door so we knew the ice cream had to be good! He coffee ice cream was delicious and the praline cream was pretty good too. My husband enjoyed his green tea ice cream with heath bar crumble. Looking forward to coming back again to try more flavors, especially the ginger (its a Fall flavor so we just missed it).

The product here is delicious. Sure, on weekends and on days that have a LOW temp of 78 degrees there is a line but, no worries it moves fast and it is well worth the wait. This is one of the first places that I have ever laid eyes on avacado ice cream and it is an intriguing yet amazing taste. The parlines icream is my favorite version thus far.

This ice cream parlor is just good, nothing spectacular IMHO. Better than run of the mill, chain stores but only marginally and yes they have a lot of interesting flavors but the main flavors need to be very strong to be the a very good ice cream store. I don’t think they’re there.

The ice cream here is just okay, in my opinion. I got the coffee and vanilla chocolate chip. I felt they lacked thickness and creaminess, or something else about the texture or flavors were off. I can’t really put a finger on it. Maybe I should give the fruit flavors a try.

My very first visit, it was very good experience thanks to an asian young man who was very attentive, informative and comforting without rushing us. Of course i also enjoyed the ice cream which i was concerned bc my teeth are very sensitive to sweets with no cavities. Prices are reasonable and was very surprised to learn that theyre open all year round. Will return to ck out other flavors.

Errant business hours. Who closes their shop at 8 pm on saturday, and puts a small chit of paper announcing this, right below a bigger sign proclaiming that the store is open 11am to 11pm daily? Poor regard for customers. Vow never to eat at this place. No icecream is worth this experience..

My partner arrived home last night with a cake for my birthday. I was handling all the grocery and mistakenly placed the cake in the fridge. This morning it was all melted. He said it was an ice cream cake. So I saw the mistake I’ve made and drove back to the store today to see if we could salvage it or buy a new one at a discounted price if they were kind enough to help out, but as we got there we realized that many of the cake boxes have a “KEEP FROZEN” sign on them. It just hit me that this is the most logical and coherent thing to do for a product that looks a lot like a cake but it’s actually an ice cream! Exactly what responsible companies worried about their customers would do. But they didn’t put a sign on our “cake” so I, like probably other people whom didn’t buy the cake, mistakenly handled it as the product it appears to be. Even after bringing this up to management the best they could do was offer $2 off on a new profitable sale. Which we were willing to pay even full price if there could be nothing else to be done! But not after finding out that they acknowledge the need to put signs on their product and took no responsibility when they failed at doing that.

Great place ice cream was out of this world you have to visit. Love the neighborhood.

Bought butterpecan ice-cream in a waffle cone on September 14th and became very ill. After three days of vomiting and diarrhea, I finally went to the ER to find out that I had food poisoning. It lasted almost a week. I contacted Toricos after being released Saturday, September 18th spoke with a girl name Denisse. She stated that she would have the manager call me back when she gets in. Welp!! No one called. I will never buy from them again. Crazy thing a few of my friends that week bought Ice-cream from down there 2 days after me and suffered the same thing.

By far one of the most delicious ice creams Ive had. I didnt try nothing crazy but everything we tried was super delicious and just the right consistency. We ended up taking to pints back with us.

Just stopped by Torico for the first time and amazing customer service! Im glad the reviews were promising. The young gentlemen working now on 10/22 is super nice and patient with me. I asked for a couple samples and ended with the pistachio and ube cone. My scoops were a decent portion and he offered me extra napkins. I ended up asking for a cup on the side in case it melts before I can eat it all. Anyways, I will be coming back if Im in town! ❤️

Update: They have reopened! Got the cherry pistachio again, just as wonderful as last time. Ordered online, picked up the order from table in front of the takeout window, everything was very safe. Original review: Finally tried Torico, after several times of passing by, and it was worth it. I got a pint of the pistachio cherry and I loved it! I have not had traditional homemade ice cream in a long time, the pistachio flavor was light and the cherries were amazingly juicy, with the ice cream having a wonderful creamy texture and not super sweet.

Visited here last summer. Great selection of ice cream, very yummy too. Staff was also really nice. Couldn’t decide between two flavors and the staff member suggested I could get both in a single cup, which was really cool. Great experience and I look forward to coming back one day.

Dawn at Torico Ice Cream is amazing!!! She designed us the perfect ice cream wedding cake- it was everything we wanted and more! I called about 10 places in Monmouth and Ocean Counties before I found Torico. Every place told me a tiered cake was a problem and they couldnt do it. Until I found Dawn! From initially contacting her she was pleasant on the phone, she followed up, she sat with us while we decided on our flavors and mage suggestions. We had a picture and an idea of what we wanted and the cake came out better than we could have ever imaged and our guests loved it! We got married at the Bay Head Yacht Club- which is just over an hour from Jersey City with no traffic. It was worth the travel, Dawn came up with a solution with a dry ice bag, said the cakes would be fine and they were absolutely perfect! I have already told so many people about Torico and specifically Dawn for her cakes. Her passion shines through in what she does and its a breath of fresh air. Thank you Dawn for making our experience wonderful and adding the perfect touch to our wedding day!!

What a delicious and sinful ice cream shop!I was lucky enough to walk in for one of their homemade creations, Chocolate Blackout. Normally the wait is forever at this place, but I had come in just at the right time.They have a wide range of ice creams and unique creations, but the Chocolate Blackout has that extreme chocolate flavors that will put you in a chocolate wasted state. Its a good thing I kept it to one scoop otherwise I would be slurring my words as I type.If youre lucky enough to pass by, and sneak in before the crowd then do it. The staff is very helpful, and will allow you to try as many of the ice creams as you wish before choosing your masterpiece.NOTE:If you have a furry friend, they have a curb side window on the side walk to place your order.

Went there on a sunny Sunday for my birthday cake, a beautiful lady introduced all the flavors and how they are made with a lot of patient, and that the rare around here.The cake taste great, very smooth, not so sophisticated but definitely made of genuine materials.Took away one star because no utensils offered.My go to store for ice cream from now on.

Went in on a Saturday night around 9 pm- the line was out the door. Was served in about 15 mins. Large variety of flavors including some interesting ones like jackfruit, papaya, spicy eggnog (some flavors are seasonal). I tried rum raisin flavored ice cream, which was delicious. Price is reasonable. Wish there was more seating area. Would definitely recommend.

Try an assortment of flavours which the helpful and friendly staff will gladly treat you to. Go for seasonals like Blackberry. Their twist soft serve is TO DIE FOR. Get a double waffle cone because the first one will melt off by the time you start eating it.

They have very interesting ice cream flavors. Had jackfruit which is their spring summer flavor. The kiddie size is big enough with a generous single scoop. Regular is double and large is triple scoops.
