Very disappointed with this company. I ordered a cake (cost $70) for a family members birthday - from what we thought was a reputable company. While it is not customary for me to post reviews, especially negative ones, I feel compelled to write this so what happened to me will not happen to others.I placed my order well in advance, accounting for extra time in case of shipping delays-a week later I never received the cake. I emailed the company and was told it was a UPS-related mistake. The cake finally arrived a week and a half late - missing the event it was for. I was willing to let that go as we were excited to try it. When we finally got the cake, the box it was delivered in was saturated. I opened the box to find one warm, melted ice pack with a very sad-looking cake. Still hopeful, we tried one bite of the cake and were completely disgusted. It tasted extremely stale and we threw the entire cake away. All sales are final so no refund was provided. Please be aware of the falsely advertised product as the pictures below provide a more accurate representation of what to expect from this company.

Going to make your cake purchasing simple. This company is very unprofessional. They are selective with their service. This is my second year purchasing a cake from them. My first year in 2020 I had the best experience and was thrilled to order again the next. Unfortunately the cake arrived a giant slosh there was no insulation or cold packs within which most companies would usually incorporate when they have a delivery service. The first year I ordered service was great this year it was not. I wasn’t upset because mistakes happen. But the owner was very disrespectful and didn’t offer any apologies or own up to the companies fault on packaging. No refund was even offered. So if you want a chance of roulette or a headache order here.

This is probably the first review I’ve ever written for any business. Ordered from this place last year and loved the cake we received. This year, for the same special occasion, ordered the same cake and received a pile of mush—it was completely inedible. The packaging is NOT suitable for a cake; last year there were ice packs and more insulation. This year, the UPS guy handed me the box and I could already tell it was seeping through. No insulation, no cooler packs. Just a cake in a box in the back of a delivery truck for hours in the middle of summer. But by far, the part that is most frustrating is the lack of accountability and professionalism. The problem was never addressed and the owner took straight to insults.Update 7/20: Their response here is what I encountered when first contacting them upon receiving their “product”—unprofessionalism at its finest. No attempt to see what went wrong or resolve the issue, just use the “small business” plea as an excuse for poor service then insult the customer… not a smart way to do business when you rely on the internet and word of mouth.

Such a delicious and unique cookie cake!! I sent it to my mom’s house for Mother’s Day and she loved it!! She never had anything like it. I highly recommend the cookie cake with brownie added to it.

Ordered a cookie cake to be delivered to Michigan. We ordered it for two days in advance from when we needed it, august 25th, like the website said. It came in on the 27th. The cake was ruined. It was just a cardboard box with 5 lunch box ice packs in the box which were hot. The cake was ruined and smashed. We understand that it was most likely UPS that ruined it, but we would’ve thought they would have packaged it better and had a better form of keeping the cake cool. Especially for the price you pay for these cakes. We needed the cake as a birthday gift and we were forced to just throw it in a bowl because it was no longer visibly recognizable as a cake. Tried to contact the company through Instagram, email, and phone call and have yet to received a response. Disappointing experience.Order number: #2798 and under my girlfriends name. Although the cake was wrecked. Still tasted unbelievable and that’s a plus!

The Cookie Cake Company is SO AMAZING! It is my go-to for all things cookie cakes. They have the most creative flavors and combinations. The best part is that they taste just as good as they look! They come so fresh, perfectly wrapped, and packaged with care. The decorations are always precise and the flavors are always on point. They have different flavor combinations for every set of taste buds. They are such an amazing company and they handle their product with such care that it is a joy to work with them and be their customer!

I’ve ordered two cakes from this company. The process was frustrating both times. They don’t notify you when the cakes are ready go pick up (oh yes, they say “click on the link in the email) but it is never updated from “processing.”The second cake I ordered I paid $20 extra for some additional bells and whistles. They took my money, did not include any of the add-in’s. This was disappointing. So I emailed them and asked for a refund. No respsonse. I called, and they promised to refund me the money. Never happened. I emailed again. Totally ignored. I called again - no one picks up. Apparently my phone number is black-listed now.It’s too bad that they were so willing to lose a REPEAT CUSTOMER over $20. Worst of all, the cake wasn’t even that good! You’re better off sticking with any of the many friendly bakeries in JC.

I ordered the Peanut Butter Cup Lovers cake with a brownie layer in the middle and it was amazing! It looked great and tasted even better. Also customer service is great - there was an issue with UPS shipping and they hand delivered my order at no extra charge. My questions were addressed very quickly. I will definitely be ordering again in the future.

This cake was delicious! It was not damaged upon shipping and exceeded my expectations! My hubby loved it for his birthday. It was a great way to mix things up! It looked exactly like the picture and tasted just as good!I was nervous getting a cake deliver from out-of-State (we lived in Ohio) but it wasn’t an issue at all. Would definitely recommend!

What a unique concept! I have ordered the Big Poppa (gluten free) and the confetti cake (gluten free). Both were amazing! I personally enjoyed the confetti one most as it reminded me of a childhood sugar cookie with amazing buttercream frosting. You will not find a more unique dessert-- especially gluten free! Customer service is very responsive and helpful. I will be back!

We ordered the Peanutbutter Cookie cake for Thanksgiving. It arrived in a timely matter and was packaged very well. The delicious cookie cake was enjoyed by all (and even tasted better the next few days). Can’t wait to receive the Oreo cookie for Christmas. I’m sure it will be amazing!!

This place is just ok. I ordered cookies that never came for my fiancé, so customer service sent me a new batch immediately. I also paid extra for a hand written note in the package, but that wasn’t included. They gave me a $10 credit for the mixup. Fast forward a week later I decide to use the credit for the Easter cookie cake. I order in a timely manner, didn’t come (USPS issues, I understand). I emailed them a few times and it wasn’t until I left a comment on Instagram that they got back to me. They sent me another cookie cake and offered me a credit which I did not receive (emailed them following up on the credit and didn’t hear back). The cookie cake finally arrived late last week smashed and it was embarrassing to even serve. I ended up tossing it.Two stars for two mix ups, slow communication via email, and a $40 for a smashed cake. The cookies were very good though if you have a sweet tooth like me.

After seeing a segment on GMA, I was excited to order and pay a little more to help out a small business during these unprecedented times. I ordered the Reese’s Cookie Cake for my mom’s birthday. I paid an additional $10 to have ‘Happy Birthday Mom’ written on the cake. When the cake arrived, I noticed the writing was missing, so I took a picture and emailed them to let them know. Taste wise, my mom and I weren’t crazy about the cookie cake. It was too sweet for our liking. When I received an email from the company to review my order, I let them know that we weren’t impressed with the cookie cake and I asked to have the $10 refunded since there was an “oversight” on their end. Instead, she offered me a $20 credit towards my next order despite me letting her know we won’t be ordering again. I have yet to hear back about my refund. I know $10 is just $10 but it’s the principle. If they’re striving for perfection and want to remain in business, they need to have better customer service.

My wife surprised me with a cake from The Cookie Cake Co. for our anniversary and I was pleasantly surprised! Although I’m not a huge sweets eater, this cake was succulent and delicious. The delivery was prompt and made it in time for us to celebrate our anniversary, despite the short deadline. I would recommend this company to anyone that would want to make a celebratory event even more special with a dessert that is not found everywhere.

My go-to cake company! Other cookie cakes do not compare so don’t even waste your time! I have ordered on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed: Birthday parties, office parties, gifts, etc. - they are perfect for any event. Not to mention, very unique so always a hit with everyone. Best part is, they ship nationwide and are very carefully packed.

So excited for this bakery in the neighborhood! I bought a box of beautiful goodies and the service was so friendly. The turkey and swiss and spinach and ricotta croissants were perfectly buttery and flaky.

Ordered a Reese’s Pieces cookie cake for my wife’s birthday in July. It was fantastic! Perfectly soft cookie base filled with rich buttercream and Reese’s pieces. Our cake was delivered perfectly even in the middle of the summer. We’ve recommended The Cookie Cake Co to all of our friends and family!

Not a good experience! Spent with upgraded shipping almost 200 dollars, scheduled delivery with the recommended lead time and we still did not receive our cake on time. When it arrived it had one little ice pack and the cake was warm. Being that it was shipped on Monday and supposed to arrive on Thursday but we did not receive it until the following Monday, We did not think the cake was edible being warm for so long. We called and was informed that they are not responsible once the cake left there shop and with the covid UPS is not guaranteeing delivery. So we are out 200 dollars and never tasted the cake.... I would not recommend unless you want to gamble with your money!

Worst cookie cake I have ever had. Shipped late and tasted stale. It wasnt even what I ordered. Stay away!! The cookie cakes at stop and shop are better than this. Updated since I just noticed the owner’s response was to insinuate this was a false review with no record of an order. The order was #1659 on June 15th and under my daughter’s name. It was missing the brownie layer I paid extra for and the Father’s Day “Dad” letters which was the whole point of the order. I would have let that slide if it had even been edible. Another update - I have added a photo of my email confirmation for the order. Funny enough, the other business the owner mentioned me reviewing is the one who told me about them! I wish they hadn’t.

Sent this as a gift twice. Both recipients loved it-said it was decadent and delicious... Will definitely buy again.

I’m not surprised the CookieCakeCo doesn’t do refunds because I don’t see how they would be in business if they did. This cake was absolutely awful. The Rice Krispie layer that I paid extra for was stale. The pretzel chunks were stale. The icing had a refrigerator taste and cracked off in chunks it was that dry. The brownie layer and cookie layer were so dry they were almost flavorless. We were extremely disappointed as we were really really looking forward to this cake. It was supposed to be the highlight of the day. I would caution anyone against buying from this company. Their customer service is non existent as the minute they had my order they stopped answering me. I wanted to request a change but they never responded to my message or emails. Honestly I would stay away from this company. There is a reason they don’t stand behind their cakes. The fact that their cakes are a final sale should have been indicative of their confidence in their product.

I ordered a cake through this company and was convinced to spend the extra 25 dollars for 1-2 day shipping. The only way they accepted this money after my purchase was through venmo (which is sketchy enough to begin with). When the cake arrived it didn’t even look like a cake. It was smashed, warm and looked and tasted absolutely disgusting. When I reached out to them, they blamed UPS, however the packing material was legitimately touching the cake/frosting which was part of the issue, which was certainly not UPS’s issue. Instead of a refund, was told I could have a credit to their website and when I declined that they said they would reach out to UPS to make an insurance claim and get back to me. 1+ month later and still haven’t heard back. Don’t waste your money, support other businesses.

I live in Tennessee and I order two cakes so far from the cookie cake company ! I order the vegan cake & 4th of July cake! And let me tell you DELICIOUS & BEAUTIFULLY decorated the way it shows on their website! My cakes were delivered on time with absolutely no problem! My fiancé and children are very picky with food, extremely PICKY!! I never told them I Order the cake because I wanted to surprise them and get their feedback! Not a great experience. I tried this place out a few weeks ago looking for something unique for some special birthdays coming up. It was a headache ordering and then found out the day before it was to be delivered that they won’t be delivering in time. Now I have to scramble to find something else for the party. They don’t give refunds and paid a crazy amount for shipping for something that didn’t even ship. They offered store credit but I won’t be risking any more special occasions. My advice is only order if you’re local and don’t have to deal with shipping.Update: I never asked for the full amount back but the money I had spent beyond the voucher since I was able to get a refund through the voucher company. As much as Im sure COVID played a role in their shipping issues, they are issues just the same and if you need something timely, this might not be the best option.

Fresh and Fun! We ordered the Big Poppa for my young cousins birthday it was a hit among the kids and adults alike. The cookie cake base was moist and the chocolate ganache was so good- the kids got excited with the sprinkles, and the loads of pretzels and m&ms in the batter. The salted vanilla buttercream was the icing on the cake, literally!! The birthday boy loved it and the cake was an absolute hit with my entire family. There were no leftovers. Fan favorite for sure!

I was skeptical when my friend from Jersey City told me about these “cookie cakes” and insisted I try a piece... my god! I tried the Reese’s pieces cake, don’t think I had something so delicious in years!! It wasn’t too overly sweet, good texture & delicious ( can’t say healthy but it’s a cookie cake what you expect lol)My family decided to try a s’mores cake from the cookie company, let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed!!! Even among a table of desserts, it was by far the most popular and all my family loved it. I was planning on taking the extra back with me, but there was none left! Highly recommend this company!! I selected my date for delivery per the site: 1-2 days from the day you need it. I needed the cookie cake Sunday so I selected Thursday to ensure it got here on time. The package was shipped Ground on Tuesday and said delivery was for Monday (four days after my request, and one day after I needed it). When I reached out, I was told there was a delay in shipping due to Covid-19. In actuality, the package was sent late on their end because Ground from their area to mine per UPS’s website is 3-5 business days. The site also states Ground is M-F. The company sent the package via Ground Tuesday when I needed it Thursday. When I told them this, I got zero response. Nothing. By the way, the carrier was right on schedule per their Ground shipments and I got it on the Monday. It was hot, inedible, and the few ice packs in the box were hot. It went straight to the trash. I’m disappointed my order that didn’t make it on time and I’m also disappointed in their attention to customer service. I see they responded to another review regarding shipping being “out of their control”, but it’s not. People create labels for shipping based on when the recipient needs it. Word of advice: learn how shipping works and match it up with when the customer needs it. It’s totally in your hands.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but by the looks of it, Im not alone in being baffled by how terrible this companys customer service is.We ordered a cake in July for a birthday in August. Long story short, it never came, we never heard from the company, and they didnt bother to reach back out to me, so I called them. I was given a sickly sweet answer over the phone, emphasizing that they are a small, family-owned business, and they wanted to amend this. We were promised a replacement for the cake. Okay, great.Only, we never got an email for shipping. The replacement never came. We also never got a reply when I asked about when to expect the replacement days later. I had to call again, and yet again, a promise of ANOTHER replacement, but this time they want to upgrade the cake and give us a gift card to the company. All of that? You guessed it, never came.More emails sent, more lack of response, more calls by me.BY THIS TIME, the FIRST cake, the original cake, arrives after days and days lost in transit: a nice hot box of melted garbage that was swiftly discarded.On the latest call to the company, I understandably requested that we receive our money back. Only to be told that they were submitting a claim to UPS for reimbursement so that they could get paid back first, then I could be reimbursed. Im sorry, what? You need to refund your customers.Here we are in November. I sent one last email, asking about the reimbursement. The response?:Per UPS policy the claim has to be done by the receiver first, have you put through a claim with UPS?
