I had my eye exam last week, it went super smoothly. I told them how my eyes are super sensitive because of the extensive use of contacts, they were super helpful and understanding. The Dr. was super nice, best eye doctor I’ve ever seen, she was extremely patient with me and tried to help through the eye exam, gave me some eye drops too fro relief. It was a very pleasant experience and I wouldn’t go anywhere else going forward. I appreciate their kindness and they go the extra mile to make you comfortable and satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Affordable and the staff is really nice.

The best of the best! I’ve been wearing glasses/contacts since I was in early elementary school (so about a good 20+ years) and no eye doctor experience compares to Dr. Tailor and her team! They’re phenomenal with keeping appointment times so there’s never more than a 5 minute (if that) wait. She explains everything she’s doing and it’s purpose AND she’s quick without feeling rushed! I’ve found my forever eye doctor! Thank you Dr. Tailor! Oh and can’t forget the team upfront. Always prompt and courteous and extremely helpful!

Needed an updated contact lens prescription and scheduled a same day appointment to see Dr Tailor. Matthew helped verify my insurance info ahead of time. Super easy, in and out in 15 minutes with a new prescription. Good service, efficient process, no complaints. Would recommend and will return for future needs.

If there was zero star I definitely would have given to my experience I had there. I went there asking for an eye exam and if they can give me my PD. They refused, which is OK, I might understand that they have policies not giving PD but what I dont understand is their rude attitude. When I asked why they cannot give the PD one of them, with a rude tone responded, we already had the conversion and they started whispering in front of me. Extremely unpleasant experience.

I asked Dr. Meetal Tailor to recheck my eyes for the eyeglass prescription when I believe there is a clear error in the prescription number, after I did a lot of research. Dr. Meetal Tailor just refused, saying that I had to buy a pair of eyeglasses with that prescription first. If the eyeglasses dont work, she will recheck. They wouldnt listen to any of my legit reasoning. When I begged her again to recheck my eyes, she said she had many other patients waiting to see her. Apparently, I am no longer her patient after paying her. She is usually very busy. The procoess can be quick and fast because she doesnt want to spend 1 more minute on you. How about the accuracy? How dare you question them about accuracy? They are the experts! If you raise any questions, you are insulting them!Thus, I had to go to another place to have my eyes rechecked. It turned out that the prescription numbers for my left eye from Dr. Tailor are way WRONG!!! In the other doctors words, The doctor who wrote the previous prescription (Dr. Tailor) doesnt know what he/she is doing, and only knows how to read the machine.They are totally unprofessional, although they pretend to be professional.They can make you feel happy, as long as you stay idiotic. However, most likely, you will not get the best vision. The scary part is that you wont even know this, because they will keep telling you they are accurate and you get the best vision, again, pretending to be professional.I am not going back to this place for anything in my entire life!

I am very glad that I gave Target Optical a second chance. I had tried to get an appointment for an eye exam, but because it was busy, I couldnt make the appointment. I tried a second time and lo and behold, I got one! It was a wonderful experience. Dr. Tailor is a wonderful, knowledgeable, Optician, who took care of me like family. The ladies who helped me pick my frames where kind, and very smart. The deal they gave me made it possible to buy two pairs! I highly recommend Target Optical specially to seniors who may have different needs, and to families with small children. They have patience and know how to work with all kinds of people. And the prices are fantastic! Try them, & you will SEE! 👀

I just noticed that the staff do not response properly and politely to the questions of the clients. Even here, you can see that there is a copy-paste message for all the 1 star reviews.

It has been an extremely harrowing experience. On 1/17, I had placed an order for my frames and lenses with the original promised date of delivery being on or before 1/31. 9 days later I am still awaiting to receive my order. And after having called in at least 20 times, all I have gotten so far is that no one has a clue where my order got misplaced during shipping from the lab and that the supposed re-order on 2/5 was expected on 2/9, but expectedly, it has not come in yet and they have no idea when it will. And of course, the Manager who promised delivery of the re-order on 2/9 is also off, so there is no way to get any updates apparently if the Manager is off. Never going back again!

The frames are great and the service was wonderful. Matthew was particularly helpful with the process.

5 star is not enough for Target Optical in Jersey City. Im 48 years old and I never experienced a customer service like I did here with Mathew and his team. OMG!I used to use Sears optical for years and once they closed I felt lost. I tought I never found a similar place until I went to Target optical in JC. They are welcoming, kind, polite, knowledgeable, well informed and Mathew is an expert on this field.Thank you very much.!Im in love with my perfect glasses and in love with you guys. I have always dreaded eye appointments in my adult life but today I actually had a great time, no joke. Dr. Tailor was great - shes friendly, thorough but efficient and not judgemental like other eye doctors Ive encountered. She explained everything to me and set me up with a fresh prescription in remarkable time. Matthew was also fantastic and helped me find wonderful new glasses, ones that I never would have picked myself, that I cant wait to pickup!Its also super convenient to pickup some groceries at Target when youre done.

First and foremost Matthew is the man! Ive been getting eyeglasses for over 25 years and hands down this was the best customer service experience EVER! We arrived there when they opened and Matt greated us with a smile and “Good morning”. He was extremely helpful to me and my entire family. A great experience all around from start to finish. The entire staff was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. No wait time...The doctor performed a very thorough exam and offered me a solution that was better for my eyes... and cheaper! No hidden fees.. everything disclosed to you before the exam. The team made sure I took advantage of every discount, coupon and rebate. When does that happen at the eye doctor? I highly recommend visiting the team here if you need an eye exam, new pair of glasses or contacts.

Terrible service. Placed an order on 3rd of March on Wednesday for one year supply of contact lenses was told could be picked up in the store early next week and I will receive a call when its ready . Its been more than 2 weeks and I have to call them to get status. I am $450 down and dont know when will I get my contacts. Also, the lady I spoke to was very rude on phone.I could have got them from online store instead.

Dr. Tailor is the best! After having another Optometrist office try and take advantage of the fact that I needed clearance for work by requiringthat I pay for daily office visits, Dr. Tailor took care of my problem and cleared me for work the same day at less than half the cost of the other place and scheduled me for a follow up visit at no cost. Dr. Tailor and her staff will definitely be getting my business from now on!
