Something you have to have right now... Be prepared to stand in line for it.Being a child of the 80s, I hate to see stores like this and shopping malls disappear but I certainly see why they are. I looked for the item I was shopping for without getting or even being able to find any help. Once I did find it and went in search of a place to pay for it which is also hard to find, I finally found a register with a long line and one cashier. Yes, I wanted it today but in a few clicks it will be here tomorrow and it cost less.Sorry guys, I know youre just waiting to die and I hate to see you go.Ps, kudos to the employees with the chin straps... I mean I could care less if employees wear face masks are not but its hilarious to see sheep wearing it on their chin. Why even bother.

The store was really clean and organized. It was bright as well. This store is one of the anchor stores at the mall. Great location. Plenty of signage and sales. Helpful and friendly sales people as well.

I love shopping there. I got great deals and discounts. But I went early and couldnt find an associate to help me. and to pay I had to go to the first floor.

It is unacceptable that during a pandemic that a store as large as JCPenney has no soap in their restrooms. Asked an associate said it was being ordered but all it takes is Proactive management to simply buy some so their customers are protected

At the store purchasing about 14 business shirts and wanted to try them on to make sure it’s the right fit. SURPRISE….due to COVID all fitting rooms close at 6:30 PM due to COVID….. so at 6:31 you can get COVID in the fitting Room but not at 6:29 pm. Huge inconvenience for such a big store I am highly disappointed. If your store closes at 8 pm you should have a fitting room for your customers available. It is a clothing store after all.

I just want to personally give a shout out to Steve, he is absolutely amazing! He is so wonderful and kind and so knowledgeable and helpful. I love the jewelry department, especially the Disney selection, and the deals are great, but best part of going is to see sr Steven and Ms.Joslyn, I met her today and she is also absolutely wonderful! I wanted to write an amazing review on the website but wont let u do it after 7 days. All I have to say is thank you for having such lovely wonderful people like Steven and Joslyn in the Jewelry department. My JCPenney in Manhattan has closed :-( so I tried going to this one which by the path train is actually pretty quick, they have a lot of stuff that I want, go there for all the essentials from boxers to socks to t-shirts, great prices, great customer service, all over great place!

Those two girls spent 20+mins in cashier discussing should they purchase online or should they purchase in store. They have no respect for other people’s time, who are also waiting in the line. The cashier gives 0 damn about how much time they spent there and makes 0 eye contact/communication to the crowd. When questioned why they are taking this long, those 2 girls told us “we are old customers, and if you don’t like it you can choose to leave”.

Portrait StudiosI went in to get my daughters 10th birthday photos and was asked to step inside the photo area by one member (seemed to be a newbie) only to be shooed away by another (the feminine male) as if I had breached the place. I asked that one person please give us (my daughter and I) instruction for our visit to avoid confusion. We followed the covid-19 rules of mask wearing and kept our space as much as possible in the small area. Polite as I was, my statement struck a chord somehow as I was told that if I had an issue I could be told to have a good day. I simply stated I didnt want confusion and tried to smile at my daughter as to not have her feel in a negative way on her special day but his scoffing Instantly made my 10 year old feel uneasy. I cracked a small joke to attempt to change her mood and move on with her much anticipated photos. Threw the clear continued sarcasm, rudely guided picture prep and sideline banter we managed to squeeze out a single solid photo. My daughter wanted more and I expected more having used them for many years and 5 children. Everything doesnt last forever and moving along has never been an issue for me. Today has concluded my relationship at this particular photo studio. I will however still shop this store.

The lady that rang my best friend up was very friendly and very nice.

Visited store yesterday and asked for trial room from a girl on register with red box braid. There were two of them, as soon as I turned my back they laughed at me so loudly that I can clearly hear them. Very rude and unprofessional hiring.

As soon as I walked into JCPenny I asked where the girls section was and I finally found something in under 30 minutes. I was surprised because I am so picky. Well my experience was pretty good. JCPENNEY is my go-to place for clothes. For some reason, they fit me so much better than the ones from other stores, even when they are the same brand. My only complaint about this location is that there arent a lot of checkout locations. However, Ive always found the people to be very helpful.

I had a very pleasant salesperson take care of my purchase that me and my mother made. Unfortunately the young lady did not have a name tag on so I cannot give her credit based on her name. But whoever she is she was working with Miss Lori and another young man. She needed assistance from someone in another department because of the purchase I made and that young lady to was very pleasant. JCP is a reputable dept. store where you can get quality merchandise except food at affordable prices. Today was a bummer tho. Seems employees are scarce on Mondays. Waited 20 minutes for the only cashier in the mens dept.☹

We usually park by JC Penney when we visit the mall. It is always a nice experience. My youngest son loves the toy section. We almost always find good buys in here on clothes for the little guy.

They have a lot of unique Frozen toys and clothing. Also I found some Hot Wheels cars I havent seen before at Target or Walmart.

We go to JCPenney in Newport mall in Jersey City for our family photographs. They are amazing, if you need pictures go see Pedro and the staff there. Absolutely the best.

Today, my Girlfriends Customer Service Experience with your organization was less than sterling. She has been a consistent buyer with your store. Today by way of your Newport Stores Marginal Assistant Sales Person, that experience seems to be heading towards the toilet. A simple watch exchange was compared to an automobile accident claim. How many people did we have to talk too just for simple service?

Love that this location is on my way home. I can stop in before or after work. This location is easily accessible via car or public transportation. This JCPenney location offers a wide selection of merchandise. Sales are clearly posted. Staff are always walking around and ready to provide assistance. I was there to pick up an online order. The line was a bit long, especially with customers being able to make purchases and returns in the same line.

I lost my purse during shoping in JCPenney today. When I realize that I dont have my purse with me I rushed back to the spot where I thought that could have forget it. I couldnt find it but I was searching for it. Then a worker named Evangeline came she asked me if I am searching for a purse and then she returned me my purse. I had more than $300 and very important documents in it. She is a very honest person and a very nice lady. This is my first time that I am giving review for anything and its only because of her.

I ordered on line. Email confirmation for pick was quick. Upon arrival at the store pick up location was easy to find and went smoothly.

This store is awesome because they have everything you could possibly want and its affordable. I always find cute clothes here, even when Im just walking through to get to my car!

The gentleman that run up my purchases was super cool and nice. He mention the benefits of having a JCP credit card. I definitely will give him a 5 star when it came to run up the purchases of my mother the lady on the register was dry, annoyed, and seems like she didnt want to be there or work for the company.

Although you have to pay for parking at the mall and although JCPenney closes at 9:30pm unlike some of the other shopping places that close a little bit later but prices and staff make it up specially Mr Steve or Stevenson, I believe he might be a supervisor because he wasnt dressed like the cashiers, anyways he seemed like a great person thats customer oriented and very professional at what he does.
