They sold me a car that the transmission is about to go bad and then told me because I had it for at least four to five months that it is my responsibility to get it fixed. Then when I said I wanted to trade it in, they said I could but they would have to see how much it was worth and the bank would have to okay it and I needed to put more money down for the new vehicle whether it was new or use. Also tell me I wouldnt have to pay more money then change that. They get you up there and put you through all this mess and then sale you a junk car. Still having trouble with this vehicle and you would think they would help me out. They didnt even know that the transmission had a recall on it as well as some other things as well. Crazy. Beware of this place. Know your worth. I wished I would have listened to my inner voice. Spirit.

First timer .. tooooooo sales focused . The customer service specialists, want to just sell cars …I know there is chip shortage and shortage of cars.. but really tough to go to dealers nowadays. They talk well till time they explain the car and when the client talks final negotiations, the sales manager could be more customer centric . :) I loved Kia telluride and carnival and wanted to buy it but didn’t want to.. they give no time to think .. it’s hurry burry :( the college guy showing the SUV was very helpful though … might not go back to this dealer :(

We were helped by Anthony Hernandez and he was the most patient, caring, knowledgeable, and informative Car Dealer Representative that we have ever encountered. We have been to many dealerships and Jersey City Kia by far exceeds exceptional standard service. Anthony cared about our experience and talked us through all our questions. We brought our two kids to the dealership and every individual at Jersey City Kia was very accommodating and welcoming! Jersey City Kia is definitely family oriented and welcoming! Anthony was direct, had expertise, and was extremely helpful! The staff at Jersey City Kia are the best. I came in short notice and they got me in and out. I caught a flat tire the night before 30 mi away from my home. I had my car towed to their location. I didn’t have an appointment and I had my new tire installed immediately. I was there less than an hour. Koodles to Jersey City Kia. Job well done. Thanks for such professional help. If I ever need work on my Kia. I would drive the distance just to be serviced by you.

Do yourself a favor and just stay away from this place. From trying to sneak in a service contract and GAP insurance into the contract without telling you or even explaining to you what it is, to just being rude after the contract was signed. Just a bunch of two-face who dont really care about you, only your money.

Literal one star. Thats for being courteous for sale of the car and the great car servicing department. However a putrid taste in mouth was left when money owed was sent back to me by the dealership. Not much, $46 from the registration. However, the integrity about it all is more important for me. If you promise something, do it. Now beyond the buying with them and servicing it there, I wouldnt come back there for a second serving, and neither should you. I have gone there several times to speak with managers (Derrick). Showed them the DMV cost. They still took me for a ride. Now, I will surely pursue them for $46 + $500 of document fee they charged me at the time of sale when they itnis illegal for them to charge that amount to any customer in the state of NJ as per the NJ department of treasury. The finance charge of $799 is absolutely ridiculous but I will soon check with an attorney and see the legality of that as well. What a shame, I was planning on getting a Stinger GT later on but I am completely turned off. Id rather go another dealership or with the Europeans cars altogether.

My wife and I dread renewing the lease on our car. It is expensive, complicated and time consuming. We particularly dreaded this time because of the car shortage. But this go round was a pleasure. After a few phone calls, we showed up and walked out the same day with a new car and lease. Working with Michael was a pleasure. He listened to what we wanted and could afford. He was flexible and polite and fast. A very good experience for us and I recommend Kia Jersey City and Michael.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! The Service team at Kia was amazing. After I had left, my back light was still out. I called and they immediately apologized and asked me to bring it back the next day to get replaced. Jose from their team was phenomenal!

I was nervous to get a car because of the chip shortage everyone is talking about. I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg for an SUV but Jersey City Kia hooked it up! Everyone was so understanding of my needs and exceeded them. I worked with Baltazar who patiently answered all of my questions. He made the process easy, and so did everyone else at Kia. If I ever need another car Im coming back here!

I took.my car in for an oil change. The service rep called me and said, your carbon filter iscontaminated and needs to be changed. The tires need to be rotated. Would you like us to complete these services also. I said, yes. When I pick my car. I am told they didnt change the filter because they are on back order but all of the other services were. omplete. I park my car for the day. The next day I turn on.my car and my tires have low tire pressure. How you just rotated my tires to prevent this! i didnt have a problem until you change my tires around.

Went in, asked direct questions, got direct responses. Mike answered everything we thru at him. if he didnt know, he asked and wasnt wishy washy about it. He helped us get a new car out the door that day. Took care of all the little details along the way. Patient and even helped us get a proper test drive, not just a once around the block.

I’m far from disappointed with my experience. We couldn’t reach a number that worked for me with the car I wanted, I ended up with a newer car with a lower payment because they are willing to sit down and talk and go through the motions of such a big purchase. Nelson was a great salesman and even though still a salesman was willing to sit down and figure out a solution so that both parties where happy and felt as though they had a deal. I now have a reliable car for the first time in my life, that I can afford.

The manager and Wilfredo really made buying a car an easy experience. They worked with me to find the nicest car that fit my budget (an amazing Kia Forte). It was my first time buying a car and they were very patient with me. Its hard to find a place like this that genuinely cares and isn’t pushy. Maybe this review will help someone else that’s thinking about getting a new car. This is the place you want to go. Granted it took hours but at the end of the day it’s thousand of dollars in play. Good things come to those who wait. I’m not going to lie prices are a bit high but the type of service and car you’re going to get out weights all of that. If you want something cheap go to HONDA and get a used car if you want durability, style and more bang for your buck Kia is the way to go. Balthazar was AMAZING and straight up playing no games and kept it real with us from the beginning. He made it happen and it was great experiencing that with him. Thank you guys for getting me into the car of my dreams. Hard work pays off.

My son and I, drove over 80 miles to meet Rodney, regarding the purchase of a 2018 Kia Stinger GT1. We walked through the doors and asked for Rodney and a gentleman sitting at the first desk, name is Mike, stated to my son, Im the one that just called you. Up until this point, my son has only talked to Rodney, who told my son the web price of $ 34,900 was negotiable. Mike stated he was the one handling the Stinger and then proceeded to take my son for a 5 minute test drive. My son noticed when he got in the car that the mileage on the car was 2,000 miles more that reported on the website. My son asked Mike about the discrepancy and he stated the boss must have used it a few times. My son then returned to the showroom and him and I, sat down with Mike. My son proceeded to tell me that Mike stated the car prices was $ 37,500 that he didnt know of any online sale, at which time I presented him with the online printout showing the mileage and price, he stated he didnt know anything about the ad. My son proceeded to ask what price was the lowest he would go on the Stinger and Mike stated that is not how it works. He wanted my son to give him a price ( stating that price would include all taxes / fees ). Mike again stated that is not how it works that he needs to give a price and that all the fees have to be separate. I then stated to Mike, you can just deduct the fees from his offer, and that is his offer. Mike snickered at us got up and pushed his chair back and said thats not how it works. My son and I, turned around and walked out. I would NEVER EVER recommend this dealership. Mike was the most unprofessional salesman I have ever met. The dealership has Rodney call the potential customers, tells them everything they want to hear and when you get there you dont get to speak to or deal with Rodney but in our case another salesman. I too was interested in purchasing a Kia Forte but luckily didnt start the process with Mike because I would NEVER want to give this man a sale. He does not deserve to be working at this type of job. He is rude, arrogant and honestly the most unprofessional salesman I have came across in my life. BEWARE this is not a car dealership you want to buy from, especially salesman Mike, I am sure you can find a dealership that will treat you right but Kia Jersey City is not the one. Buying a car isn’t the easiest decision. It’s a commitment that can be extremely stressful and at the end, you want to be happy and feel content with the decision you made. Nelson Jimenez went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he make buying a car a great experience, but he was both helpful and extremely knowledgeable throughout the whole process. He is fantastic at what he does. Most of the time, car salesmen only care about the deal. At the end, it’s not them who has to live with the decision or the car. Not with Nelson... He made sure the car was the perfect fit for me and my needs. When you’re just beginning to build your credit, it can be difficult to get a get a good deal and monthly rate. He did his best and definitely delivered. If you look up the perfect car salesman, his picture should be placed next to the definition. I’m extremely happy with my new car and his service. I definitely will be back when it’s time for a new car and already have recommended him to others. Big thanks to both Nelson Jimenez and Jersey City Kia.

0/10 will not recommend, extremely poor customer service! I dropped off my car in bad condition, asked for my engine to be checked because there was a recall on the engine for my car year and i got it back in even worse condition ! Jose claims the technician ran a diagnostic on my car and that everything was good on the car, showing no codes and the car was ready for pick up. I went to start the car after it was “serviced” & it started to smoke uncontrollably . I came back the next day to address the issue, his response was rude and nonchalant he proceeded to tell me “the least you can do is say thank you” because he claims he has other cars from 2 weeks backed up waiting to be worked on and he chose to look at my car before theirs even tho my car is still not fixed. Jose stated I needed an appointment for my car to be serviced after the altercation but didn’t tell me that in the beginning… just to have the car towed to the service center. All of this could have been avoided if the technician would have looked at the engine in the beginning because that was the main reason I was there. They let the situation escalate to something that could have been avoided. Customer service is horrible. Problem still not fixed. No solution available.

The reason why I’m giving 5 stars rating from the callI received from Christopher which by the way I thought he was a car salesman and I found out one of his jobs is sets up appointments with customers was very professional and really down to earth kind of guy which drew me in,Chris made me feel comfortable and gave me a warm sense of confidence that this location Kia which’s located on Route 440 in New Jersey 36 water Street will treat you like family.When I arrived there I asked for Christopher and that’s when they told me what he does. I met Nelson and from the start we hit it off the whole process from picking a car and from waiting on the credit results plus the application it was amazing while I was waiting I was even offered chicken cutlet which by the way was amazing.Well I end up buying a Kia Seltos 2021 Orange well the moral of the story is that this location treat you like family from the Time you step in through the door and you leave it’s an amazing location and I definitely definitely recommend this location to new car buyers my experience was amazing and I definitely recommend it.

I have dealt with Nick in the service dept. I have a red kia Forte and my grandson drives it. 🚗. It needed some work on it and we chose Jersy City Kia because I thought my son in law was going to have to pick it up. As it turns out I was able to afford the work and my grandson was able to pick it up.I spoke to Nick several times as we wavered on what we were going to do. Nick was absolutely awesome working with me long distance. (I live in Indiana). He never was anything but nice and helpful and kind. Avoid dealing with Darrin. The guy is disrespectful and ignorant.Waited in line for an appraisal and instead the guy comes out spitting insults and acting unprofessionally.Do your job Darrin. We came in for an appraisal. Appraise the vehicle.Waste of time. Youd be better off working with anyone else or taking your business to one of the other nearby dealerships.

This is the worst experience that I ever had at a car dealership.Ive recently been blessed with the opportunity to buy a car for my sister and mom, but when I had difficulty finding the specific car that my mom wanted at other dealerships (both in and out of state), I decided to give this dealership a try.When arriving, I was directed to one of the salesmen, who took me directly to the vehicle that I had been looking for (thank God). After beginning to look at the vehicle, the salesman noted that they were looking to sale the car for $3k more than the asking price posted on the window, to which I responded, we can talk about it. From then on, the salesman began to be inattentive, and even lit a cigarette and walked off multiple times. After asking if they had the vehicle in red, the salesman responded that neither his nor his sister dealership had it in that color. When I asked if he could look to see if any other dealership had that color, I was bluntly told no because there would be no benefit for the salesman to do so because he didnt believe that I was going to buy a car from there. Surprised, I asked for the manager, who actually praised the salesman, noted that he was the dealerships top salesman, and then continued to try to sell me a car.The kicker to all of this is, I was prepared to fully purchase the car that they had onsite, but because of the service, quickly changed my mind.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE! VERY RUDE!

By far the worst experience I ever had dealing with a mechanic. My car was misdiagnosed resulting in unnecessary spending, only to be told I needed to do more extensive work that will result in paying for a new engine. After seeking a second opinion, the problem I was told with my car wasn’t even the issue. When I brought this up with management they proceeded to ignore my calls, claimed they couldn’t find my work order. I ultimately took my car to another mechanic. If you are you looking to get your car serviced DO NOT bring your car here. They will try to mark the price up and get you to spend unnecessary money to fix.

I purchased a pre owned kia for almost 12k and was told that they couldnt add some floor mats. My sales person Baltazar was pleasant, the finance manager was rude and arrogant. I purchased the car the at the end of July and was told that my plates were being mailed to me within 30 days. I reach out to my salesperson and they tell me to give it another 30 days. I text my sales rep about that status of my plates a few weeks later and get no response. I call the dealer today and the DMV department says my plates have been there since Aug 3rd. That it cost $50 for them to mail it to me. I explain to her thats not was told to me, she claims that they left me a vm on Aug 3rd. I ask why would the sales rep not know that, she hangs up on me. Very, very, very unprofessional. I know that the average price of a new car is $43k but you can still have some decorum for us little guys. I will never buy from this dealership again. STAY AWAY!!!!

Pathetic time management . I booked an appointment to visit the dealership and double checked about any delays in attending once i arrive there ahead prior to booking . They said They will attend immediately . Once I went there the front desk had no clue of the agents availability nor provided any ETA by when then will be available to meet us . I was asked to either wait or reschedule appointment . This appointment was a joke . Pure waste of time. Find a different dealership who cares to respond clearly than asking you to wait for eternity

The visit experience was awful. The salesperson and the manager were very rude to us.When we first walked into the store, I told them that I have scheduled a test drive with Jorhan at 7pm. The salesperson (not Jorhan) came over surprisingly and said that the Telluride is strict for test drive and he needed to asked his manager for permission. Didnt I scheduled the test drive? Why nobody told me beforehand about the restriction when I scheduled?Also the salesperson told us that Telluride has a premium of +14,000 usd on top of the MSRP price.Don, the manager then came over and said that the Telluride test drive is only for clients who are buying the car. And asked if we are going to buy it. We said that without test drive how can we decide whether we want to buy?? And said that we probably not going to buy today. Once we said this, the managers attitude changed dramatically. He didnt look at us nor talked to us anymore, he faced the salesperson and told him to only take us for test drive for 1 block. And told him that we needed to drive extra cautious and he is liable with monitoring us driving. Hello?? We were standing right next to you and you could just talked to us! His attitude was utterly disrespectful and unprofessional.When we were in the car, the salesperson kept pushing my husband to Drive! Drive! while he was trying to adjust the seat. The test drive literally took one minute. We just went around the block and thats all.The whole experience was awful. We were not able to experience the car at all and we felt that we were mistreated from the start to the end. It is also against the consumer law that they asked us to buy the car first before test drive or even get to look at the car.We will not step into this dealership ever again and will warn anyone who consider buying Kia to not buy from them.

It’s with great disappointment that I write this review regarding Jersey City Kia. I began my journey with this dealership via the Kelly blue book instant offer program. I initially entered all of my details regarding my car on Kbb’s website and was promptly contacted via email by Jersey City Kia. I agree to an appointment window and arrive at the dealership as planned. This is where things began to go downhill, I’m greeted by the receptionist and then told to head over to the waiting area where I waited for over an hour without being acknowledged. Finally, after the extended wait time, I see a gentlemen by the name of Darren Zenatti frantically approaching the waiting area. Darren never formally introduced himself, rather, I had to state the reason for my visit first. We began dialogue and starts to tell me how he is surprised that I entered the details regarding the vehicle correctly online and how most customers don’t enter the details correctly. I found that to be odd as the process online is pretty straightforward and also why would he (Darren) be so forthright about his customers’ impotence? He then inspected the vehicle and to my surprise he comes back with a number lower than the kbb instant offer that was quoted despite him just telling me that I was spot on with the initial online self appraisal. I reluctantly accepted the offer against my better judgement. Fast forward, 5 days go by without any signs of the vehicle being paid for, I was still paying active insurance on it and the monthly car payment was coming due. I called the dealership daily during that 5 days asking to speak to anyone that could help, I also left messages with Darren himself. My calls were never returned in any capacity. Finally on the 7th day after the transaction, I head over to the dealership and ask to speak with Darren, again we waited for an extended time. Darren comes out, I try to greet him and he walks right past me after yelling out “your car left my guy stuck”, I was extremely embarrassed and decided to try approaching him once more. I wait for him to To finish with another customer and attempt to greet him again and he once again walks past me and says “I don’t want the second key, you left toy driver stuck”. I felt like a victim in that moment because I was being yelled at an accused of giving him a car with a bad alternator. I have never had any issues with my car before that transaction so I was very taken back by the Hostile allegations. He was being so hostile with me that they had to call over a different sales manager which was thankfully more helpful than Darren. The car has since been purchased and the transaction is now complete on their end but I cannot get over the poor customer service. Leaving a customer waiting for extended amounts of time without acknowledgment or check ins, never returning a customers 6-8 calls and 2 voicemails, accusing a customer ill intent, creating a hostile customer environment and embarrassing a customer. All these things are very traumatizing and I do not wish this on any hard working customer, for that reason, I cannot and will not recommend Jersey City Kia to anyone.

I rated a 5☆ The atmosphere was so welcoming as soon as I enter the door. (Even though I was 10min late ) The staff was very friendly and offer me free coffee and the waiting room. Plus It was very clean and everyone was wearing a mask and distance from one another. Therefore, I was so happy and also I did smell gas from the vehicle like most Mechanic shop . the one who really stand out to me was Jose because with no hesitation he usher my vehicle into service right away. (it only was 1hour 30min to finish) So I will be back this was my first service to my vehicle since I purchased it.

I walked into Jersey City Kia with a monthly budget. Because of chip shortage I was told the cars are marked up over MSRP. Was told they have one Forte which would of been high $300 range. Then was told they can get me in a Sportage for high $300 to $400 range. This was on a base model Sportage. We wanted a couple of more options, they showed us a Sportage night fall package which had a driver power seat and sunroof and heated seats. I was told it would of been $525 so after negotiating we got it down to $459. I had asked to see the ex model which had push button start, power rear hatch, rear USB, and dual climate control. I was told that one would be high $500 range. So we leased the night fall package for $459 a month. I went to FETTE KIA the day after and inquired about an EX model which we later found out had more options that we liked and they quoted us for $425 a month. FETTE KIA quoted a higher trim model for less money than the lower trim level we got at Jersey City Kia. So went back to Jersey City Kia to see if they were willing to take the car back and match Fette Kia offer and sales manager declined and said sale is final and stated it sounds Iike you have buyers remorse, actually its called getting ripped off.

Honestly as a first time buyer I thought the process would go smooth… I thought I was going to drive out of the dealer and have a blast with my new car. But I thought wrong.It all started with getting a toll violation on the mail from when my car was in service(how do you drive a clients car through a toll and not make them aware? Not reimburse them?), it then moved on to my license plates not matching(I was driving around for a good 3 weeks with different plates), and the cherry on top, they submitted my credit application with the wrong date of birth. A big mess that since May 17 I am still trying to resolve.All in all a terrible experience

Horrible experience, trashy and unprofessional dealership (especially the manager). Made a test drive appt, confirmed everything ahead, only to find out when I arrived there that they will let me test drive the car if I agree to their price beforehand. Plus they were adding 6K premium on top of the offer price. They are perfect example of those scam dealerships you hear on the news.Take your business somewhere else if you want to deal with someone who is trustworthy. This place will do everything to rob as much $ from you.

I was seated in a lobby area which was very calm and pleasant. Free WiFi allowed me to do my work while the service was being done.

This is not a company you want to do business with. Purchase a used vehicle and after 1 week the engine died. I towed the vehicle back to the dealer the same day. Two weeks later and I am jumping through hoops just trying to get any information on the status of the vehicle. I will be reporting this company to the BBB. First car payment is just about due and car has not been driven for more than a week.

My review has changed from 5 stars to one star. The sales rep is new and inexperienced not walking me through the numbers to make a deal work. Neither did the finance guy. I was sold a car $6k over MSRP which was not explained but sign and drive untilI reviewed the documents later. Stay away from inexperienced sales reps who do not have the knowledge to go through the numbers along with the finance guy who rushed me in and out to sign documents without an explanation. I’m paying $6k over MSRP. How can a vehicle be sold over MSRP without an explanation? Love the vehicle but unethical service. I expect my loan to be readjusted according to the MSRP. The sales manger knows how to reach me so we can reconcile their mistakes.

Even though we made an appointment to purchase a new car, we had to sign-up upon arrival and was told it would be an hour-long wait. When I asked if we could come back after an hour, the front desk lady (FDL) replied “No, this isn’t a restaurant.” Incredibly rude. It’s certainly not a good way to greet and prep your customers for an hour-long wait!After about 30-40 minutes, we were approached by a salesperson for our appointment, but FDL started yelling at him for not following the list. We ultimately got sent back to the waiting area. (The salesperson was calm in contrast and apologized to us).During our wait, there was also couple speaking with FDL. While I could not make out the exact convo, everybody was visibly upset and throwing a lot of hands in the air on both sides. One of couple yelled at FDL, “You need to change your attitude!” I clapped loudly in support of the couple.After 1.5 hour of waiting, we approached a manager of sorts about the long wait, who was eating lunch while talking to us, then went to the back to find somebody? We also asked FDL on how long the wait would be, and she said with (yet again) an irritated, unfriendly tone that there were still people in front of us. I told her she needs to fix her attitude, agreeing with the couple earlier and she said, “I’m gonna go use the bathroom” and got up to leave. Wow, I’ve never been treated so poorly in a car dealership, restaurant, or any service business. We left immediately.

I went in to the dealership not knowing what to expect. I was approached by Nelson D. for inquiry of a potential sale/buy. I explained to him I was interested in the Kia Telluride. From the beginning to end Nelson was a top notch professional. If anyone has purchased a car you already know that the process can be draining and a headache. This one was not and mostly in part to Nelson’s quick wit and business savvy. I hen it seemed as though the deal was not going to go through he got me the terms I wanted and I left the dealership in my new Kia Telluride in my favorite color. Definitely a top notch salesperson with customer satisfaction at the forefront of his agenda.
