Lee Sims is amazing! Their chocolate is soooo good. A Jersey City staple for decades! Def stop by and try them out. My favorite are the caramel nut clusters and chocolate covered strawberries.Unfortunately, stay away during busy holidays. For Valentine’s Day it was a disaster. We ordered and paid in advance and still had to wait over an hour for pick up. The experience was awful. I understand we’re still in a pandemic but I don’t think the shop prepared properly. I’m very disappointed in the service we received and not even an apology.I will still continue to support them, things happen and the chocolate is just that good! BUT I will stay away during busy holidays.PS we get our Valentine’s Day goodies every year from them. This year they did not plan properly.

The staff is friendly and the chocolate is very good. Made locally at their factory so you know its fresh. Love that you can order by the pound and choose your confections. Takes major credit cards and cash.

Where is my candy? I ordered over $100 worth of chocolate to serve at Christmas. It is now December 29th & I have not received the candy which I now have no use for. It is impossible to contact them. THEY NEED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Ordered online, received a confirmation, credit card charged. 12/29 Gift still not received. So I started calling Monday morning December 28th. I’ve left 3 message per day with my telephone number and confirmation number. Even reached out to the Staten Island location, no one has called me back. The worse Customer Service, I’ve ever experienced. Sad .. just sad.

The store is quite narrow but all that luscious chocolate is at your fingertips. Friendly service which is what a candy store should offer. Their chocolate is the best.

My sister ordered a Christmas gift for me of candy and cookies on Dec 6th! It was shipped Dec 7th and arrived today Jan 6th! ! They really should compensate people who thought their gift would arrive on time and NOT a month later!!

This place has the best chocolates in Jersey City. I love their peanut butter cups and chocolate covered Oreos. The staff is always delightful. The minute you walk in they greet you. They also always suggest what you can get for your loved ones if you’re seeking to buy for a special occasion.

My obsession with these chocolates runs so deep that last week I was towed from that lot across the street from Lee Sims - on Bergen Ave. I knew Id only spend five minutes in the shop so I parked illegally; unlucky for me Mr. Tow-Guy was ready to pounce. But the funniest part is, the pecan turtles were so divine I didnt even mind getting towed. Once at the pound I gave the tow-guy a chocolate and it made his day. Its a thankless job, but somehow a creamy milk chocolate turtle makes everything okay.

Area has gone down but quality of chocolate still makes this place worth a trip

My family went to Lee Sims many years while we lived in Jersey City and even after we moved out of the city. Now that I have moved out of state I still order from time to time to have baskets shipped because I crave the best chocolate ever. Thank you Lee Sims for still being there.

The chocolate is absolutely amazing, easily some of the best in the area. Prices are reasonable for the delicious homemade chocolate you get. The store is pretty small, so around the holidays, be prepared to be a little crammed with other customers. Parking is hard to find in the area, so I always have someone drop me off and wait while Im shopping!

This valentines I’m very disappointed in lee simons. The cookies were old and stale. The chocolate on the strawberries were very hard not inviting at all. Sad, there was a time everything was fresh, now it seems like they sell what was not sold at Xmas on valentines. Smh

Delicious, homemade chocolates, candy, cookies and more. Their by the pound prices are reasonable to boot. Definitely try their chocolate covered strawberries when they have it. I prefer the dark chocolate. Its pretty small and get packed during holidays.

There are certain consolation prizes for living in Jersey City. I know, impossible right? Seriously though, there are a few places in this area that are great and much cheaper than they would be anywhere else. Lee Sims is a great example of that. Down by McGinley Square, Lee Sims has been in business for decades and is still going strong. Walking into their stores youll get blasted with aromatic chocolate. They have a wide variety of different options--bars, turtles, pretzels, etc.--as well as baskets and boxes. The owner will be there and theres a good chance shell serve you. The quality level is great, especially compared to the pricing. What I paid in the village for a small box of chocolates (~$30) got me a basket full here, again with the chocolates being on par. If you live nearby, this has to be your go-to for all your chocolate needs. If youre going to live in Jersey City, might as well take advantage!

Ive been loving their chocolate lollipops since I was a kid and they have the most adorable display window!

Quality sweets and chocolates not too expensive, been going there since I was a kid.

So they sell chocolate in chunks, in all shapes and styles. Plus some cookies and other candies besides chocolate as well. But honestly Dove brand chocolate or any Cadbury, toblerone chocolate bars / other candies are just the same and cheaper in a store, no wait to get them or anything. Lee sims is honestly good only if you’d like to treat yourself (spend more on chocolate) or get something nice for a celebration or even something worth a gift basket.
