Let me explain how you will get cheatIf you ask for full bird or few lbs, first they will weight infornt you and later the guy behind will starts cutting in to smaller pieces. If you observe carefully that guy throws some pieces in to the big basket next to him which you cant see. If you want full clarity, ask him to weigh it after cutting.There are other meat shops around where they weigh after cutting and you will pay only what you get

The shop is neat and clean and the staff are friendly. I have bought chicken few times and was good. The goat also seems to be good. The prices are also good. They have few grocery items on the shelf that you can pick. Its street parking as like other shops in Newark Ave, Jersey City. I would go again.

There are better places around with better prices that doesnt try to screw you over a 1lb of chicken to make you pay more. With the chaos I couldnt even hear what they said and I just nod (so thats was my bad) but if I ask 1lb I want 1lb no less no more.

Not a good place to buy ... chicken aren’t fresh ... you don’t need to cook and taste to know it’s isn’t fresh .. just by seeing you will know it ..

Goat was mixed with spoiled/old goat meat. Scam.

Me and My friend stopped going to this shop, he will not give you what you ask for, he mixes bad pieces (ex neck) he is very arrogant. we experienced this issue couple of times and we stopped going there.

I too support Devendras review here. I am one of the old customers for this shop. I have been going this shop for almost two years. This guys will not give the meat what you had asked for. I usually ask them for baby goat meat but they give you which ever the meat has not been sold for a long. They will give you either old meat or lamb. When you raise your voice during your next visit that time they try to tell you something and give you little better than earlier meat but it still the meat which you didnt ask for. I completely stopped going there now. Many times after cooking it, I couldnt able to eat even a small quantity. Meat also smells very bad.

Very good meat store. Popular for the goat meat. I beleive its owned by bangladesh guys. You could get fresh goat head..they cut and give you including brain..boti is available but it is frozen one. Best to try for paya, goat meat, goat head.

I would have given it 5 stars fot the quality of goats but I had to take two stars away for cleanliness.

I dont know what anyone else is talking about, but this store is awesome. The owners actually care about this customer and maybe if the people like davindra and siva actually knew HOW to order meat, they wouldve gotten what they wanted. Next time learn how to specify and speak properly before blaming the owners or workers of the store. Also learn how to COOK the meat too. I have never had problems with the meat, its extremely delicious. Davindra and siva obviously do not know how to cook which is why they are complaining. Overall, this is the best store to go to in NJ for halal meat :)

THe worst store in the street. I have asked for goat leg and all I get is cheap lamb mix...

They make the mutton pieces inside and last time they gave all bone pieces.

The chicken pieces are not well dressed.In order to add weight they dont remove skin in skinless items, dont remove fat masses from the pieces.Not a very good store.

I went to take halal chicken. The total weight was 4.8 pounds I asked them to make small pieces. While cutting, some person would stand in between the cutting tool and us. I purposely weighed the chicken after the pieces were done, it was barely 4 pounds!

Worst meat I ever! I asked for goat meat and I am not sure what he gave me. Threw the entire thing into trash as it did not taste any close to goat meat at all.
