An honest mechanic. Sounds like an oxymoron, but its the honest truth. Rich is very honest, will walk through your cars issues and the best option to fix it... He is also not here to rip you off. The price is right and if something is not worth fixing, he will let you know. I dont trust anyone but Summit with my car

I went to this place twice for the emission inspection test, and they refused on both occasions. I first went there around 11:20am in the morning on a work day and the guy told me that he could not do the inspection test at that point and asked me to come back in the afternoon as he needed to eat lunch then. I came back again in the afternoon for the test. Upon arrival, I showed them my documents and told them that it was a re-inspection (I already had my car fixed and ran for 60 miles after my initial inspection failed). They refused to do the re-inspection because they said they wouldnt let others make the repair fees and they just collect the small re-inspection fees to finish the work. I went back to my car repair place and also called DMV to confirm that a private inspection facility cannot refuse to do an inspection just because the repairs are not done by them. Their behaviors are totally against the regulations of private inspection facilities! There are lots of other ethical car repair and private inspection test facilities in this area (such as Broadway Sunoco Service and G & T Auto Imports). I would recommend to avoid this place as there are many other options in this area and the people here are just so hard to deal with.

Very very honest people. Ive been to other mechanics who would cheat you and lie to you just to make an extra buck. This has never happened to me here at Summit Automotive Corporation.Very professional. Very honest. Great service. And friendly personnel.I will always go back to them.

Summit was recommended to me by a close friend. I inherited an older car that had been sitting on the street for probably a year, and I was concerned- 1) what work needed to be done, 2) would the work cost more than the car was worth, 3) would I be upsold on unnecessary things, 4) would any issues be overlooked. Thankfully, I didnt need to worry at all at Summit. I spoke with Rich- he asked me several questions to get a general sense of the cars history and recent use (or, lack of), and took the time to explain what hed be looking for during the service. Thankfully, the car was in good shape. And, even better- I found mechanics I trust 100%.

Rich knows his stuff! Provided me with sound advice in relation to a recent used car purchase, showing Summit to be knowledgeable, fair and happy to look out for their customers. Will definitely use these guys again next time I need car advice or assistance.

Really solid service. weve been taking our car here for about a year for regular service (oil changes, tire repair, etc.) the work is reliable and the price is reasonable. still waiting for a call back on the price of some new tires, but i could easily pick up the phone and call rich (if i remember).

They have fixed my car several times and honestly I have been satisfied with their service, I still take my car there for repairs.

Very honest. Ive been there several times with problems where Id not have blinked to pay a few hundred dollars if they told me there was need. For instance, after Sandy, I brought it in to make sure everything was fine. All they did was charge me for an oil change. They took both me and my wife individually for a ride in the car to test the shocks---told us they were fine and charged us nothing.

I saw some people used the word HONEST when describing the service ....Most of the customers probably just drive the car and have very little insight on what is happening under the hood. I called the service to ask for a price estimate for breaks replacement .. I also had a problem with a stuck caliper. The owner answered in a very evasive way, mumbled something about the price and said that the caliper must be replaced .. I asked why without even checking you say that it MUST be replaced ? ... if you google stuck caliper you will see that in most cases, it just gets released, re-greased, and its good to go for another couple of years .After this question I started to feel that the person on the other side of The phone became nervous.. we dont fix, he replied to me with an angry tone .. ok, I said, thinking that probably he wants to, you know, get his share on getting me the new part .. I am as the customer always looking for an optimal price. and I offered him to get the caliper myself... he replied you dont know what part to get - HERE HE WAS REFERRING TO ME AS A USUAL CUSTOMER THAT KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE MECHANICS ... Also it was said with this angry tone . .Then I asked to break down the price estimate for the parts and labor ..Before even naming the figures, he said - you know this is an estimate, if I need to fix something else, besides the caliper I will do it too ..I replied that its ok, but if the additional fixes cost more that 20% of the initial estimate he should let me know. That opened the pandora box ... The OWNER almost started to yell at me, saying, take you car elsewhere, my customers TRUST me !! I told him that Im not his customer yet (at that point I started to understand that I will not use his service) .. and he gave me the final answer - you ask too many questions and hung up ..HONEST ??? I really dont think so ..GOOD MECHANIC ? - didnt have a chance to verify .. maybe, since I see nobody complained here about broken cars .. although it should correlate with honesty and transparency.He is a good smiling guy that promises that you car will be able to fly after the service but then abuses lack of you knowledge about the mechanics .. maybe he cheats just a little bit .. who knows ..dont believe ? try and ask him questions :)
