The owner and head mechanic Ahmed Bakr is the best mechanic in my area. He repairs and cares for my car, my wife’s, and now my daughters. Regular maintenance is quick and done right. I trust Ahmed and never worry about being overcharged or shady repair work. Ahmed is always professional, does quality work, and always a gentleman.

Owner told me give him a week bring my car on Tuesday. Confirmed on Monday and when i got there he said no i cant dont the work. Should of said that from the beginning now i have to wait another 2 weeks to get my car back from somewhere else.

I booked an online appointment for diagnostic because I hear a noise when I go over bumps. When I arrived, the man that works there asked me if its making the noise right now and I told him its only when going over bumps. He then told me that theres nothing he can do. I asked if he could do the diagnostic and he said, No, because I wont find anything. I told him I also felt scrubbing when braking. His phone rang and he walked away to answer it and just left me standing there. I dont understand what made him behave so rudely towards me and why he didnt even offer to take the car for a test ride over some bumps to hear the sound or feel the scrubbing. At first I was upset, but then I realized, oh well....someone else will get my money. Not sure if the owner would be OK with workers turning people away when they come in for service. I will never visit Meineke again though.

Very bad, this person didn’t listen carefully to the problem to fix. He didn’t has any experience for his job. My car problem is with the brake system light turns on. So it’s electric problem. But he changed the brakes and router ( I already changed the brakes 5 months ago witch is new). When I ask him why he changed nothing wrong with it. He said yes they good. It means he’s not honest. After changing brakes still the problem on. He started to give a different explanation to cover his mistakes. That’s no good……I recommend nobody use this shop. I’ll not use it any more.

Oil change was very quick but asked them to look at my brakes and I was rushed out without getting a complete answer as to what was wrong. The manager is very rude. He walked away from me twice as I was talking.

I came here a year ago cause i was hearing this strange sound in my engine. After testing drive my car, i was ready for the bad news and cost to fix problem. It turned out to be a loose nut that needed tightening. He could have charged me an arm and a leg, like most places. I was charged only $35 .Thats why i came back to this shop. The Mrg was very welcoming and made me feel at ease knowing my car will be in good hands. I dropped off my car to get the TMS and bearings replaced. My go to mechanic moving forward.

I went to put in my active exhaust simulator to get rid of my engine light the man in charge said I didn’t need it and welded my exhaust valves open and said it would clear my engine light. After it was done I asked did it clear my engine light his response was yes. I get in my car my engine light is clearly on. My thing is if you weren’t sure it was going to work, why did you even do it. I don’t like the fact that he lied, $60 waisted and I still have an engine light on. I would of respect it more if he just said “I don’t know how to fix this” I definitely won’t be coming back here and it sucks because it’s very close to home I’ll try the one on Tonnelle Ave.

Booked an appointment online for 2 hours out and got a confirmation email to confirm. Showed up at my appointment time and was advised that they were full to the day. Whats the point of making an appointment?? What a waste.

They are very patient, kind, and understand your situations. They use the real manufacturer parts instead of off the market brands. That is cool but the repairs can be costly. Their labor alone can run into the 200s so it helps if you have a credit card. They respect you and your car will be ready to go the day you bring it in because they fix it right away once they get your parts delivered. I like them but I hope my car dont break down often cause it can be costly. But the good news is your car is done the right way and the work is guaranteed. Bottom line is I feel safe when they fix my car cause I dont have to go back with the same problems twice.

I went to meineke because I had gotten quotes from other places to get all of my brake pads replaced that was $600 and upward (not including tax and NJ tax...well you know). I saw they were having a 50% sale for brakes so I decided to go to them. I waited in the office area and no one came to the desk. After a few minutes I went to my car and called them. Tdd him i needed new brake pad, he confirmed the sale I saw advertised, and he told me to come by. I came back. Waited a couple more minutes. Finally the guy came to the office area. After working out details, it took about 2 and a half hours for them to replace my brake pads.I paid $375 including tax which is a lot cheaper than the $680 quote I received from another place. I would recommend this place if you are getting brake pads done even if it isnt on sale. Its a lifetime warranty so when they wear out again, they will replace the pads for free!!! My only suggestion for them would be to hire someone to work at the desk so customers arent waiting a long time in the office area.

I have a old car and they discontinued the exhaust pipe that I needed. Went to Meineke and they customized the pipe for me. Wait time was about 30 minutes and the job was done. Price was good. Very happy with the job. Thank you.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I took my car here for an oil change (which was fine), and they realized there was an issue with one of the tires (which there was) - they replaced it with the WRONG SIZE tire and I had no idea until my car started having issues and I brought it to a different shop. Even worse, when I called to ask to return the tire - Ahmed said they have no record of me in the system and said because I had driven on the tire they will not refund me for the tire. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE!!!

My husband brought his own brakes and rotors for them to put on and they serviced him. When I called just weeks later they told me a higher price then what they chargered him. I called the next week to confirm the price and they told me that I couldnt bring (my newly purchased) parts because thet dont do that type of service. Sound like a bunch of feminist to me. They are so rude and unprofessional to women. I dont recommend this place at all for women.

I didnt notice until I left and they were closed but they chipped all of my rims. I saw they were having trouble with the hydraulic tire remover and I should have stopped them from continuing. I now have chipped rims Ill see if they accommodate me on monday.

This is my 2nd time coming into this place after i received a coupon through the mail specifically from this location.1) They don’t honor their coupons.2) I came in there to have my brake and rotors replaced and the dude quoted me for 750 plus tax. I came to Meineke to fix my car about a month ago. The car check engine light came on and I needed to have that fix in order to have it inspected by NJ inspection department. Mr. Ahmad, who is the manager of the shop was the one dealing with my car. First, he stated that the car had an exhaust pipe leak. So, we proceeded to have that replaced and he reset the check engine light. In less than two weeks, the light came back on. I called Mr. Ahmad to explain what happened, he asked me to bring the car back. So I brought the car back and he ran a test on the car and stated that it might be the catalytic converter. However, he noticed that there was a leak again in the exhaust pipe that we replaced ( brand new) a few weeks ago. Mr. Ahmad took the car to fix the exhaust pipe and reset the check engine light once again. In less than a week the Check engine light came back on. I called him once again and he told me that if I am bringing the car to him and If he has to take a look at it, that I would have to make an additional payment, which I highly disagreed. He continued to tell me that he doesn’t want to look at anyone’s car if they are not going to fix something on the car because it’s time and money wasted for him. How can you call yourself a manager for a prestigious company such as Meineke and all you are after is money. If a customer brings there car for service and if the service rendered previously less than thirty days, there should be warranty for that car shop to fix the car again without any further charges for the customer. I also told Mr. Ahmad to fix my air conditioner because it was not bringing adequate cool air and Mr. Ahmad supposedly said that he fixed the air conditioner. Within the hour of receiving my car back, the air conditioner was not cooling at all. I brought the car back to him and he proceeded to fix it once again. A few weeks later, there was an issue with the air conditioner. I called Mr. Ahmad and he was extremely rude. He told me that what’s wrong with the car is the driver and proceeded to laugh. He continued to state that I should have my head fixed instead of the car. This shop should be shut down. He has no customer service skills. He is rude and is only after customers money without providing good services. He requested that I should go to his other affliction, which is the Meineke located on 700 Tonnelle Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07307. Mr. Ahmad’s mechanic shop is located on 1613. John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey city, NJ 07305.How can a car mechanic refuse to fix a customers car after she paid for services on a replacement for an exhaust pipe and air conditioner. I DO NOT recommend this shop at all. Mr. Ahmad also charges so much for a oil change as to other Meineke stores. He does not honor the Meineke coupons that are listed on there websites. When asked why, he states that he has nothing to do with Meineke. That he’s shop is independently owned. If so, then the coupon should state otherwise.Mr.Ahmad is a very rude man and I urge everyone not to ever go to this shop located at: 1613 John F. The rep refused to take my coupon for an oil change which I received in the mail with the address of the location I went to.Additionally he had a very sarcastic tone after I told him that I didn’t think my AC was Leaking and it hasn’t been working properly because it does not constantly blow cold air when it’s on.He replayed “Are you just thinking out loud”

The men at meineke are knowledgeable in what they do and are able to answer any questions you have pertaining to your vehicle. I was happy with the work that was done on my truck and Ill be going back to have additional things done. I recommend that anyone stop by there first before going elsewhere.

Came here for alignment and balancing and I was satisfied with the service. I also had a tire with a slow leak but although it seemed like it was fixed after driving about an hour my low pressure light came back on. I called and spoke with the boss and he told me to bring my car back, so all and all I will be back in the next few days to get that taken care of. The service was prompt and my main problem with my car was addressed.

Took my car for a oil change but they did not change the oil filter. Why? no one knows . didnt find out till my new oil change will never go back.

Over a year I took my truck to get a new muffler, (usually I do my own repairs, but Im working night shift I just dont have the time) After I left I thought the new one was loud but never got a chance to get back. Last night I got under my truck and not only the weld are terrible but they used a larger muffler and cut out one of the support brackets. I guess Ill order a muffler kit online and do the job myself. My advice is got somewhere else. I dont mind paying the price but I expect good work.

It confuses me how people can ever talk so bad about them or give such low ratings. They are great and I have never had an issue with them for any reason. I have brought my Passat here and now my Nissan. I don’t see how you can go wrong. The mechanics know what they are doing and you can’t get more reasonable prices anywhere!

Outstanding customer service! Definitely take your vehicle here if youd like to receive excellent customer service. Exhaust manifold had a hole, took it there to get it welded. Price is a little higher than a mom and pop but the service they provide is definitely worth that premium. While they had my vehicle somehow my left rear tire had a leak. Took it back there and they replaced my tire!

Took my nissian to have brake pads changed in the rear not even a year ago. Brakes started making noise. Took it back to meineke he charged me 100.00 i told him he changed my brakes less then a year ago. He said he did not. So i drove off. My car makes the same sound. Took it back he tells me i need front rotors and pads 250.00 i had him changed them. Then i found the lifetime receipt from the back pads he changed.he gives me a run around story. Not a good place. I spend alote of money at meineke and he couldnt give me my 10000 back after i provided him the receipt??? You lost a customer that was loyal to you.

I wish I was writing a pleasant review, because I like to give credit where it is due, but alas, I am not. I had terrible service here as a car owner. Not only were they not transparent with the pricing of oil changes, ( they charged a fee for the supposedly free service of a tire rotation for an added price of $17.95 on top of the $69.99 full synthetic oil change) one of their workers forcefully jammed my key into my switch cylinder, and bent the teeth inside, so now my keys wont open my door. I took it back to them and told them that my car isnt the way it was when I left it, and they tried saying that it was my keys that have worn out, but out of three years of my keys behaving perfectly normal, the day I go to these guys and get an oil change, they up-charge and mess up my key cylinder. I understand that for other people, these guys might be a good deal, but for others, it is not. Favoritism doesnt really work well in the service world. You should treat every customer equally, not some good and some bad. I will not be coming here anymore, you have lost a loyal customer. Maybe not all Meinekes are bad, but this one in particular isnt as professional and up to standard as I would have thought this franchise to be. Up your game.

I had to choose a star.. place is discusting and a con. Took my car for a tune up and a bolt was dropped in my engine mind you my engine blew 2 miles later. I refused to take the car because I knew something was wrong immediately. The manager told me to shut my mouth when I called him out on his BS. Meineke refuses to take responsibility since this one is privately owned. I have heard so many horror stories after sharing mine with ppl. I dont know how they are is buisness. No my car was not like this before. What mechanic does a tune up on a bad engine. Im fighting this all the way.Please dont act concerned. As it took almost 2 weeks for a manager to get back to me. I had to call 4xs. You should be ashamed of so many bad reviews that are on here. I will save the battle for my lawyer.

Went for a oil change. They ONLY DID oil change, nothing else! No fluid top off, no regular maintenance check, nothing else at all. The the maintenance schedule sticker even peeled off shortly after. When you use $10 off coupon, they charge $10 service fee to even it out. Beyond awful! Worst experience ever

The service a was outstanding will go here all the time! Took my car in to get a new muffler but Sam said that I did not need a new so i had my repairs just came this cost me $150 if they had told me it was $1,500. If you have car trouble take it here and all will be well. :)
