I have gotten both of my cars fixed from this location on several occasions, the work was done with honesty and in a professional way. No Rip off, get an appointment, come early, because they get packed early in the morning. The owner is a nice guy, doesn’t over charge. I got my radiator fixed here and it was done in considerable price range, the dealership would’ve definitely had charged twice the amount for it.Definitely recommend as a good Auto Body Shop, with great services!
They flush my radiator for $125 And second day there was no fluent in the bottle And I open the radiator there was old fluent in there they putt the Orange fluent but there was still green fluent in the Radiator they did not clean the radiator well I am not happy with their service at all
Took my car here for a looksy and Ali (the owner) told me it was a faulty sensor. Many other mechanics would have taken advantage of this to make money off of me. 5 stars for being an honest mechanic.
This place is a WOMANS NIGHTMARE. They are completely discriminatory to females. I went here for a simple motor blower resistor swap on a 2012 Nissan Versa SL. Simple job, tricky placement. I came part in hand. Dude told me it would be $160. I asked how he came to that figure and he said it was a 2 hour job. 😂🤣😂 I advised it was NOT. He then instructed me to Youtube to see. I challenge you all to take a look, maybe 30 mins at best. Im not sure, why a mechanic would advise of watching Youtube videos or why he would think I would show up identifying a problem, part in hand if I didnt know what I was talking about but I assure you review reader, as a woman, I completed my due diligence PRIOR to going out in the the male dominant mechanic world. The long short of it is theres more than 1 way to skin a cat & Id rather not go the $160 route. If his shop staff only knows that one way, cool then just say that, but this man told me I would pay him to do it because he had the otherwise I would have done it myself. Hes right I would have done it myself had I moved here WITH my tools. Then he simply walked away. So, Im coming here today to say females beware of this shop. Two words, price gouging (at least in my case)
Professional and knowledgeable staff with highest ethical standards, reasonable prices. Most importantly, stands behind the work that they performed on the vehicle
A mechanic shop I have brought multiple vehicles to for about 5 years now. They usually can get the jobs done while Im at work which helps a lot. Most of the time they can quickly evaluate what the problem is. They have performed everything from electrical work to routine maintenance on my vehicles.
Very good mechanics, would highly recommend!
They are professional very loyal not hiding anything from Costmer, I think that’s the only place in Jersy city with lowest price and quality work, I suggest that for everyone
Excellent service and fair prices. I’ve been coming here for years.
Fair prices good work
I Have been going here for a while. I have had them fix multiple cars. (Lincoln, Honda, and Lexus) Their knowledge and expertise on diverse cars is what makes them great. The owner and the staff have a passion for cars. No job is big or small for them, they treat all of their customers in a friendly manner. They know what they are doing. I would recommend this place. They deserve five stars because the service and staff are both professional.A+ for their service
I am extremely disappointed in the services that was provided. I am currently seeking legal actions.
I don’t usually post a review but this place forced me to put one.1st of all, the staff wasn’t welcoming or friendly and they were treating me as if they are making fun of me. I went there to fix my side view mirror and being an amateur when it comes to auto repair I was trapped. They gave two options either to replace the mirror (which I didn’t bring)or fix the broken one with a screw. So as a temporary work around I chose to fix it using a screw. The manager somehow put the mirror in place and asked me if I could see in the mirror properly which I initially was but even though I was telling the mechanic that he’s fixing the screw in wrong position he went on to drill it. In the end, inserting the screw didn’t work so ultimately they forced me to pay $10 for the work they did which didn’t help me at all.The excuse of forcing me to pay was “time is money” although the mechanic spent a couple of minutes fixing the screw. It’s not about $10 but it’s about customer service. You don’t ask to pay for the service which isn’t helpful to your customer. Avoid this place!
Having been lied to and ripped off by many mechanics in the past, I typically do as much of my own auto work as possible. However, I’ve realized over the years that it’s faster to let the pros do oil changes (and yes I know the arguments for both sides of that). I brought my car to Shah Jee Auto for an oil change. Within a few minutes of changing the oil, they discovered my brake pads were down to the metal and it was eating down to the rotors (and yes, I know exactly when it went into the shop). I was quite surprised when they told me because I hadn’t heard/felt the typical symptoms, but I was clearly a few hundred miles from doing some real damage (possibly even roll through a stop light and wreck). I got synthetic oil, brakes and rotors all under $350 and I was in and out in under an hour! I will be coming back for any future repairs.
I like this place because unlike many mechanics this guy told me to repair what was really needed and gave me a very reasonable quote. Since then Ive been only going to this place because I know hes not going to rip me off and hes a very seasoned mechanic. I know my car is in good hands when I go there for repairs.
Good 👍 service...
Very nice fast and reliable and also very good human beings
The good thing about these guys is that they are fast in doing trivial tasks such as changing oil and filter. But when it comes to a slightly more difficult task, they are very unprofessional. I had them change my radiator fan. But they took out my bumper which is completely unnecessary. They even charged me extra money for some bolts in putting the bumper back. They also spilled the coolant all over my engine and didnt clean it up for me. The worst thing is that they are very disrespectful to customers.
After I had left my job to go to the gas station, my vehicle gave out. Tow truck showed up and gave my vehicle a battery boost. The tow truck operator thought my starter was shot. He than recommended that we go to R and IK Auto. It was very late on a Sunday and I thought they couldnt fix that day...BUT MUCH TO MY DISMAY THEY SAID THEY COULD FIX. To change the starter and change my belt was $360. Little pricey but not bad work on a Sunday evening
My experience with R and IK Auto Repair Shop has been the worst ever. I had my car towed to this shop on December 21, 2015. My car thermostat housing went bad during a drive to work. So I got my car towed to R and IK Auto Repair shop. They told me it was going to cost $250 to fix the problem. Okay after three long days I went back to the shop and saw my headlights was damaged. They told me a lady has hit my vehicle and they did not have it on camera. (Of course they didn’t have it on camera). I also told them to give me a tune up. After a week I went back there my left signal light didn’t get replaced and my engine cover screws was lost. It’s already February 14, 2016 and my Car still doesn’t have engine cover screws and my left signal light is still not replaced. He told me to come back next Tuesday to get my engine cover screws and the left signal light. Also when I picked up my vehicle the battery was dead after they had charge it up. It had died again 6 hours later. One of the guy there told me my thermostat replacement was 125 dollars. I done research and found out a thermostat housing for my vehicle is only $36 dollars. I own a 1995 Nissan Maxima look up how much does a thermostat house cost I guarantee it’s not going to say $125 dollars. I should’ve paid a totally of $175 including his labor. What my other mechanic said I should’ve paid. If you want an excellent also not so pricey Jersey City mechanic bring your car to Vavis Auto Shop, they are located downtown on 448 Grand St. They are excellent and aren’t looking to get rich. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.
Local auto shop. Nothing fancy, but will get the job done. Kumar is very helpful and will give you a good price...
Great spot .. Always ready to help .. Friendly service!!!
Mechanics are honest, but the owner is not fair, not professional, charges very expensive, and talks rough. He was talking very rough and threatening another customer with getting his car towed away. They replaced a small part in 10 minutes and said that they charge minimum for an hour, which is ridiculously high.
Best service I ever had the brothers are so helpful very knowledgeable and they give you advices about your vehicle thank you so much I will be for sure
