So honest! I called after my front wheel was making a strange whirring sound (drove through a big puddle). Mechanic was honest with me and told me it was normal and to let it dry after day or two. Sure enough, next day, the noise was gone! Saved me an unnecessary trip (and expense) in going to a shop. I’m so appreciative he took the time to explain this issue as opposed to letting me bring it in and up-charge me for that and other things.

Seems a good person but he cant fix my car. And, he quote me more expensive than a dealer.I would only do some simple job there if any.

Our car got shut down on Saturday night at 4pm, and we got tow truck to the shop at 5:30pm, Andy told us probably will be ready in couple days. So we left and went for dinner, 7pm he called and told us the car works, only changed battery and couple lines, so we can pick up the car that day. What a quick and amazing work. The price was fair for same day service.

I cant recommend Andy enough. He literally came to my rescue after my car broke down two blocks from his shop on a Sunday afternoon/evening on a holiday weekend.. He jumped my car and assisted me in getting it to his shop, diagnosed the problem, went and got a part and fixed my car in less than an hour and a half. He also charged an extremely fair price. This was about a week ago and Ive driven the car since this incident with out issue.I would highly recommend this garage and Andy to anyone in the area.

A really nice, small town mechanic shop. Make sure to call in advance as it seems they can only work on one car at a time.He even showed me the issue under my car as he fixed it. Cant find that in most of todays mechanics.Would highly recommend!

So far, Ive brought my car in for an alternator replacement, power door lock issues, and air in the brake line. Each time, Andy has completed the job very quickly and for a fair and reasonable price. I never walk away from H&H with that all too familiar, uneasy feeling I get at most garages, wondering if I was just bamboozled. NEVER. Andy is so transparent, that you can actually stick around and watch him work if you have the time. Hell explain what hes doing every step of the way. Ive learned so much about my car from him that I now daydream about quitting my job and apprenticing at his shop! Seriously speaking though, I trust Andy so much, that I now bring my Moms car here too, and I never hesitate to recommend H&H to my friends and neighbors. Andy is very kind and unassuming, and hes got tons of experience and a wealth of automotive knowledge. If you want worry-free service at a fair, competitive price, you wont go wrong at H&H Auto Repair.

GREAT! Here is my experience: Sep 14th, I heard some clunking noise from my driver font side. Since tomorrow was Sunday and few repair shops opened, I googled and found H&H. Then I made a phone call Sunday morning and I brought my car there. Andy tested it and immediately told that it was struts. I left car there and he ordered two struts online. He said it cost $600 and could be done Monday afternoon. I went there Monday afternoon and he firstly let me drive for a while to tell if the noise was still there or not. The noise was gone! And he asked only for $300 cuz he said when he was fixing it, he found the bushings were the main reason so he replaced it. He also showed me the unopened ordered struts. Thanks Andy!

I came in with a detached muffler that I have been having problems with for MONTHS. Hamdy, was extremely kind and helpful! Hes honestly the best mechanic Ive ever been too! He let me stay around while he fixed my car and even taught me a few things. You cant get exceptional service like this anywhere!! Very thankful I found this place, and I will definitely return + refer some of my friends to his shop!

Very helpful! On a Saturday afternoon we found our car can not start. And next day we need to leave early and drive to a wedding, so we had to have the car repaired. We googled auto repair around us and find this place. My husband called the owner and explained the situation, the owner asked a few questions and helped to diagnose the problem. Then he suggested us to tow or jump start the car to his place and do a through investigation. We were concerned about his closing time because it was Saturday afternoon already but he said he would wait for us! Then with his help we replaced the battery and the car started to work again. The whole process was very smooth and the charges were very reasonable.

He is very grouchy n verbally aggressive. I just came to show my truck and he started up selling his services and when I told him I need to think about it.He was verbally and physically aggressive.I just got in my car and left.This mechanic is very unprofessional and his place is equally shady.Dont go here. I am not sure why others would review n give him 5 stars.Stay away n save yourself a hassle and mental torture.

This place is so small that you wont even notice it. I went there on the suggestion of a friend. The guy who runs this place has so much knowledge about car. He is very patient and explains everything that is wrong. I have been going to him for a while and have been very happy with his service.

The dreaded check engine was on and I brought my car to a (different) local mechanic with a good reputation. 2 weeks later, I picked up my car - which had a new catalytic converter. I was initially quoted a price, but when I spoke to the mechanic later about picking up the car, he said, Oh, we also changed your battery, gave you 2 new tires, changed the brakes and rotors so your new total is $1600. After the shock and numbness faded, I went to retrieve the car. As soon as I drove away, I saw the check engine light was still on. It was the end of the day and the mechanic asked me to bring the car back in the morning. After having it for another day, he called and said he couldnt figure out the problem and suggested I bring the car to the dealer for a diagnosis and back to him for repair.Feeling gun shy, I didnt. I asked around for recommendations and a good friend of a good friend gave me Hamdys info without any hesitation. Ya gotta go to my guy. Ive been going to him for years - tell him I sent you. I arrive at the shop and was instructed to sit in the car during diagnosis. I was shown all the codes and read all the results - full transparency. I ordered parts from the dealer, and after Hamdy installed them, he drove the car almost 20mi to make sure the light didnt turn on before releasing the car to me. When I picked up the car (at the end of the day), he asked me to come back after I had driven 50mi so he could retest it. 2 days later, I noticed I had exceeded the 50 but thought, Maybe hes not open on Saturday... I kid you not - Hamdy calls 20min later to check up! I swing by, my car gets tested and leave with a clean bill of health. Hamdy explained he did not feel the job was complete until then. I am grateful for his thoroughness and integrity - I recommend him 100%!Hamdy: my car passed inspection yesterday - thank you!!!

Visiting From Philly My Car Messed Up On Me On A Sunday. The Mechanic Helped Me Find The Part At A Local Auto Zone And Even Drive Me To The Auto Zone To Get The Part. He Put The Part On Quick And Didnt Charge Me A lot And Was Extremely Nice

STAY AWAYwas seriously overfharged for work i had to have re done at my regular location. was an issue with brakes. mechanic stuffed a standard bolt into a metric hole.... causing serious safety issues and work that had to be re done. claimed he did more than he did also. as I mostly do my own work for simple things. clearly did not replace things he said he did.... i paid and kept it moving. not going to argue with an old man about how he is screing me Im better than that.all of these great reviews are honestly from people that have issues that can be fixxed themselves if they werent too much of a stuck up prissy yuppie and went on YouTube to teach themself. this place is not equipped to do real mechanical diagnosis and repairs anything beyond things a 16 yeqr old with his first car could do. brakes, battery, muffler, alternator..... seriously. nothing but a few bolts on and off.

Best Car mechanic in Jersey city area.Went their for my brakes replacement for my 13 Corrolla..very good and transparent work done.... Andy is genuine ..honest and aknowledgeable mechanic... a combination very difficult to find in jersey city area these days. I Will not look beyondown his shop.
