Great job fixing the flat tire and all, came in on a flat coming from the Holland tunnel but the workers here were super friendly and helped the tire efficiently. Even cracked some jokes with them lol, funny people with good energy. I’d come here every time for repairs, easy 10/10

Affordable and didnt rip me off, but told me they had time to look at my car the next day and to drop it off but they clearly did not have time for me. It took several days and a few phone calls for them to even hook up the machine to figure out why my service engine light was on. They fixed my engine and ac issues so that was great. However, when i got it back he told me hed adjusted my ac panel dial so it would work. My car did have electric dashboard issues but they were workable and mostly just the ac dial. After, I realized none of the rest of my buttons or dials worked anymore; when I told him this and asked him to fix it he said hed never touched that part of the car and implied it was broken before I brought it to him and he could do nothing.Not the best experience overall, but ended up w a mostly functional car and it was affordable.

If you just need general maintenance services done like oil change and fixing a flat tire this place is good but anything other than that they have no idea how to property diagnose or fixing anything beyond the basics. If you drop off your car, don’t expect to hear anything in days which is very unprofessional.

Didn’t fix the issue properly on brakes. Returned again, still have issues. Charged me again when they didn’t fix it right. Don’t go here. Owner is sketchy. Charged me on a repair I didn’t ask. Scammer beware.

Ricky might be a nice guy, but my experience at this shop was very very frustrating. Went to the shop to change brakes and rotors for all four wheels and got a very annoying brake noise, revisited the shop twice and got charged twice but things didnt get any better, finally had to go to the dealer to get the noise fixed. A total waste of time and money.

Trust is probably the most important component when choosing a mechanic. Ricky was awesome. I called on a Wednesday [spoke with him directly] regarding my brakes & he replaced them the next day. I literally just asked for an oil change. Then they go ahead and do a bunch of other things to my car and charge me $200+ while also making me wait 1.5 hours.I don’t believe what they said when they were trying to justify why they did all that but even if it was true, it’s bad customer service to just work on my car and order parts without consulting me. I wasn’t there for a checkup I was only there for an oil change because I usually would’ve gone to a shop closer to home but I was too far at the time.Most mechanics will ASK me if I want to get it done there or not.Nobody goes to McDonald’s and orders a Big Mac meal and ends up getting everything else on the menu and having to pay for that just because the cashier thought we would need it.

They charged $42 for battery change and $40 for wiper blades - including wipers.Not sure if these price are higher or on lower side but it was all done in less than 5 mins

Very quick service - fixed my flat in just a few min, and the patch seems to be holding up well. Thats my tire in the picture right there!Small place though with two cars in the shop max, not a lot of room to stop your vehicle, so Im not sure how they handle volume...

Fixed my flat in 10 minutes!

One of my headlight was out. The electrician at the shop diagnosed it as a loose wire issue. They claimed they fixed it but the same light is now broken again only after 3 weeks. Probably dont actually cared that much about the quality of their work as some other review suggests. I would not visit this shop again due to concerns about the quality of their fix.

Brought a car here for a pre-purchase inspection. Was told everything is fine, though fluids change is due. Ok, great. Next day, at the state inspection a dead license plate light was detected. Two weeks later, the battery died from sitting couple days in the driveway, no forgotten lights or anything. For $80+tax, one would expect that at least the basic electrics would be tested.

Called in the morning and got fixed in no time. Great service.

Satisfied with the service but it was $470 for an oil change and alternator (new) replacement. I thought that was kind of on the high side. Couldn’t do same day from that morning it was dropped off but was done by afternoon of the following day. They were okay with me picking it up a day after the car was done.

I like the convenient location. Guys are competent. Pricing was a little on the high side, but I like supporting local businesses.

I had a nail in my tire. One of the staff in a nearby gas station recommended this place to me. They fixed it within 5 min and only charged me $25. This is a small but reliable auto shop, doing business with integrity, treating customers the way they treat their own car.

The guy was so nice. We needed our breaks fixed at short notice to get back to Michigan. They got us in and fixed it right away. If we lived here we would definitely go back.

Long story short, I was able to get it to Chariot Auto where they quickly assessed my vehicle, fixed the issue, charged me a very reasonable price, and sent me on my way. Brought in our old car for various electricity issues. One day we were told to drop off the car and come to find out they wouldn’t be able to even look at it for several days, so I wasted a lot of money on ubers to work for no reason as it was still able to be driven.More recently we came in for a replacement part and we were told the part had to be ordered in used and it would take two weeks. Once again had to drop off the car for several days to be replaced. Two weeks later the part has already broken.Ended up taking the car elsewhere and not only were they able to get a brand new part for cheaper but the same day! Chariot is unfortunately much closer to our place but I won’t be coming back. I wanted to give them a chance but it’s been such a hassle and expensive in the end.

I had a flat tire and a wheel lock and no key and no one was able to take it off. I arrived at Chariot Auto Repairs and initially they told me that they didnt have the right tools to attempt the job and come back in a couple of days. I couldnt wait that long and told them this. They ultimately were able to remove the lock and change my tire the same day! Im so grateful for their diligence and fortitude. Great job guys, its really appreciated.

Woke up to a flat tire. They plugged it at a fair price within 20 to 30 minutes and sent me on my way.Im new to the area, but these guys are who Ill go to in the future. Both Ricky and Quan were very friendly and professional.

My car had a heat stroke and started spewing smoke from under the hood, and was also leaking coolant fast. Luckily, this happened while driving in downtown Jersey City (and not on the Turnpike at 5:00 pm!)I called up Ricky at the shop to give him the lowdown on the situation. He told me to bring the car over right now (though he sounded a little bit busy.) When I got to his shop, he had a couple of other cars in the garage being serviced, but he gave mine top priority. In just under 3 hours, hed replaced/reinstalled the radiator with a new one, fixed a damaged hose, run an electronic diagnosis, topped off the engine coolant, all well-below the initially quoted price!

I went to fix my cigarette lighter fuse fix. They fixed for me within 20 mins. They were busy on other car tire replacement. So they took 20 mins. No complaints. Good guys. They charged me 20$ for fuse replacement.

These guys saved my day at the spur of the moment! If it werent for them, I would have had to drive down the parkway for an hour in hopes of gorilla tape keeping my trunk closed.Even if there was a mere second of lost hope, they persevered and kept at it, not feeling satisfied until it was fixed. It didnt take long either; I was in and out of there in no time!As for the price, I think they deserved more than what they charged me, so hopefully they got some extra lunch. They saved me the hassle of having to buy and wait for a new part which, in turn, relieved me of a rental car bill. Went to fix/replace a flat tire today. I was told there will be a 15 min wait but it took the guy more than an hour to start inspecting my car. He could not find a leak after inspecting for a while. I have taken my VW diesel (you dont diesels to just anyone) to Chariot Auto since the dealer warranty expired a number of yeas ago. Ricky has done minor maintenance work like oil change to changing my timing belt, a major undertaking and something I would only put in the hands of a trusted and talented mechanic. To give an idea of the type of service Chariot provides: On one occasion, Ricky saw that a mud flap was missing from my car, saw it in my trunk and reinstalled it for me without being asked; and on another, I went to pick up my car and noticed it had been washed. In response to me thanking him he said he had some time after finishing my car so he washed it for me. Ricky is my go to mechanic and an asset to the community. Ricky is reasonably priced, thorough, has never recommended unnecessary work and has a quick turnaround. I just hope he doesnt get too busy to take my car after the masses catch on.

I called Ricky about oil change price, he said $16.99, when the job is finally done after 30 minutes delay, and I was going to pay him, he said the oil change cost is $69.99. I was shocked and refused to accept the price, eventually we settled at $30, which is not bad, but the whole experience is not that great.

He diagnosed my daughters VW beetle which would not start and honestly said it is a sensitive electrical issue which should taken up with VW. To my surprise Ricky did not charge for the diagnostic evaluation just stating I feel bad that he could not fix the problem, so will not charge you for my time and effort.My daughter definitely be bringing in her VW for general car maintenance going forward ......Only negative issue but again its no big deal is that your calls and inquires are answered by Rickys personal mobile phone icky gets right back to you!
