The team at the AAMCO Jersey City is awesome! Victor and Louis were great to deal with. I brought my car in for a potentially big job after I had heard my differential needed to be fixed from two different shops. After taking a look they told me the repair wasnt necessary at all! Luis and Lou are an excellent team and did a great job fixing a transmission leak on my Chevy. He took the time to take pictures of the leak and email them to me so I knew what was going on. Called for an appointment for installation of new tires - Luis and Victor did a great job with all my questions and advising me on what was needed. I have had the pleasure of going to this AAMCO 2 times. I needed both front and rear brake pads and rotors to be replaced. The car dealership wanted to charge more than double the amount I had previously paid with AAMCO. I returned to AAMCO and they treated me as a person and not as money walking through the doors. They kept me updated more than what they had to.  They did not try to get me to to update or fix anything that was still in good condition. They even looked over the recommendation that was given to me from the dealer. I had an all around great experience with my car and interaction from the men at the shop. I came here for an oil change, replacement of rotors/brakes, and they got me a reasonable price for everthing. I expected maybe theyll call tomorrow to have it ready but was surprised to get a call that it was good to go the same day, that was some FAST servicing if you ask me. As long as Im a NJ resident, these are my GO TO guys for all future maintenance for my car.

I went one morning to Aamco without an appointment. I thought I had a stick shift malfunction. After explaining my problem to them, they informed me there would be a diagnosis fee and if I fixed the car with them they would deduct from the total amount owed. I was so worried because they needed to order parts. The whole process sounded expensive. I didn’t have enough money and to top it off I was getting paid on the following week. Concerned about money I left the car and promptly in the afternoon I received a call. They could fix the problem, I explained it would have to wait because I didn’t have the money. He told me that my life and other people’s lives were in danger if I continue to drive the auto as it was. He convinced me to fix it by giving me an excellent discount that I couldn’t refuse. Some might read this and think he was coning a female, but his humanitarian act and his concerned voice was not one that can be considered falsified by the greed of money or making a slick sale. I will forever be grateful for everyone at Aamco. By late afternoon my car trouble was gone and my heart was filled with joy. As far as AAA roadside assistance I will give them 5 stars. But I remembered when I first purchase my 2001 e350 diesel van in 2017 I wanted them to check the transmission you know change the fluid inspect the transmission and rear differential period. they wouldnt touch. its not like they where going to do it for free I thought I was going to pay for a service, I thought maybe it was the age of the vehicle (could be) but I walked by one day (theres a Dominican restaurant at the corner that I frequent ) and noticed an old Volkswagen van probably 1970-1980 Ill tell you I was offended! Ill never use them for any service battery boost is 5 🌟.

This was the worst place ever! They false advertise and do not work in a timely manner. They promised me a estimate in 24hrs and my husband had to call 3 times and they still did not have an estimate. They then called back in 15 min with a ridiculous estimate in which I was getting a better price for a brand new transmission. Over all horrible customer service and working ethics. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND THEIR LIES!!

Aamco of Jersey City was able to repair my Chevy Suburban with punctuality. Even though my vehicle was in need of major repairs, the manager, Victor, said that they would try to have it ready in 2 days, and my vehicle was ready in 2 days using quality oem replacement parts. I will continue to bring my vehicle to this establishment for repairs because of their professionalism, timely work and straight forward explanations of any issues with any vehicle that my family members and friends had brought to them over the years.

I reported them to the BBB as a very dishonest branch of AAMCO in jersey city NJ. I am a mechanic who asked them to bleed the air out of my brakes ABS unit because it needed a special computer like device. it cost be $300 plus even though it took less than 10 mins and they told me it would only cost $125.00. they lied about doing other repairs and refilling liquids which were not needed. I would never recommend them and hope and pray that they lose their Contract.

I am very happy to get the opportunity to write a review of this AAMCO service center. I had never used them before and my car needed several repairs, some of which I did not know the extent of. I was going to be out of town and used the opportunity to leave my car for several days in order to give them time to work on it.The service and treatment which I received was excellent!!!!Alli was a true professional and gentleman. He and I spoke every day. He would walk me through what they had discovered and how they were going to proceed. Basically, they went step by step to completely service my car and not do any unnecessary work.I am not a mechanic. But Alli would explain what was wrong. Then hed explain how they were going to diagnose it and work on it. I always felt very comfortable as I was never left in the dark.I did not feel overcharged. I felt completely satisfied and my car has run fine ever since.My only complaint is that Alli was not in the day that I picked up my car, so I did not have the chance to meet him in person and thank him.However, I met Lou and he and I spoke for quite a while. He was also a great man - professional and courteous.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this auto shop.For the record: I live in Pennsylvania. I now plan to only take my car to this shop!!!! Yes. I had a Ford Explorer that broke down and no one couldnt figure out what was wrong with it, after i brought my truck there, ammco figured out in a few hours what was wrong and needed to be done. Comes to find out, it needed a new motorI was giving a detailed explanation of how much it was gonna cost to fix and was very pleased with the outcome. Fast forward 8 plus years later, i only get my vehicles serviced at Ammco. Im very happy with how Im treated and dont ever wait long for my service to be completed. I had a break down with my diesel Sprinter Van two weeks ago. I had my vehicle towed to a Dodge dealership that night; they couldnt handle the problem. So Lou, the owner of AAMCO Jersey City, sent a tow truck to pick it up for me from the dealership. Lous mechanics diagnosed the issue quickly (weird case where the serpentine belt broke, and sliced a hole in a transmission line as it fell apart). Since I was from out of town and may have had transmission issues, I was nervous about how much the quote would be. Lou and his mechanics completed the needed repairs two days earlier than they expected at a great price. My van is running great thanks to Lous phenomenal service and integrity!

Husband went there after leaving newport news virginia, the difference between the two shoppes are like night and day. New Jersey shoppe triple the price, they make repairs that they dont discuss with you ahead of time and bill you for it and you have to pay to get your vehicle back. The job that they quoted was $1,500 less than what they actually charged, will never go there again.

Lou is the best. I had a problem with my gear shifter and my rig was not driving smoothly at all. He fixed my shifter and explained the issue I was having with the clunky ride. I followed his advice and my SUV is fixed. I would say I saved at least 60% of what I thought I was going have to pay. It was the best mechanic experience I have ever had.Lou is very knowledgeable, competent and most of all honest, and he makes sure his shop is run accordingly. He could have ripped apart my transmission and charged me a lot of money, but did not. If your having an issue with your vehicle, take it to Lou, you wont be disappointed.

I can honestly say I dont mind getting oil changes. AAMCO makes this a less tedious task. There customer service is AMAZING. They really make time fly when the mechnics are doing speedy work on my car.

I went to get my first ever oil change. I believe that was the owner at the front desk, very kind man. I was able to get my oil change at a promotional rate. They did a vehicle courtesy check, and said everything looked good. Overall Im very glad I found them.

Had a very good experience getting a rebuilt transmission, new wheel bearings, and a replaced coolant reservoir on my 2006 Mini Cooper. Price beat the dealer by thousands and came in less than other comparable shops. Great service from the owner, Lou, and shop manager, Victor.

I was at my wits end with a Jaquar I had recently purchased after the total loss of another one. I went to AAMCO as opposed to taking it back to the dealer. They diagnosed the problems, explained them to me and made the repairs. My car now runs like new. Ive been coming to this Aamco location for years and its always been a good experience. The technicians take the time to explain whatever issues they find with your vehicle. Also, understanding cost is an issue for most people, theyve explained what things should be done immediately versus what can wait. And in the last few years, adding the financing option has been a huge help. I always bring my car in for service to Aamco and thus far, I have not had any issues.

I have been going to AAMCO in Jersey City since 2009 and my little car just keeps on going like a trooper that it is, and for the miles I put in and I thank Lou and his great staff for taking care of my car which now has 255,000 miles on it and I look forward to reaching 300,000 miles in the very near future and it will be done thanks to Lou and his AAMCO staff. I walked into the shop telling Nate that my tire is low on air and that i have to fill it up, it was on 21 and immediately Nate and Ruu told me theirs a nail stuck in the tire i was in disbelieve. 5 minutes later Ruu comes in and shows me a 2 inch nail maybe 3 idk all i know is that it was big. Anyways my tire was as good as new. Awesome customer service :) guess what now my car is telling me i need a oil change lol.

My 2002 Subaru Forester started acting up on Route 80 on a Sunday night so I sent a frantic email to Lou Fizzarotti owner of the Aamco service station on Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. He answered me well before 7 am Monday morning and told me to bring the car in right away. Lou took a few minutes to look at the situation, made some phone calls then said, No problem! He replaced the muffler system and the catalytic converter, sent me photos of all the old parts as well as the new parts as his team was repairing my car (amazing!) and I was on my way by 12 noon the next day. All I can say is Lous the best, hes got the nicest and most competent staff you could ever do business with and I am very grateful for Lous excellent customer service.

Last Friday, July 22, 2017, I embarked on a road trip with one of my oldest friends. We left Massachusetts early in the morning, eagerly anticipating our long weekend at the beach in Wildwood, NJ. Shortly after getting onto the New Jersey turnpike, my car began to overheat. Smoke was coming out of the front and every light on my dashboard came on. I panicked! I pulled over at the next exit to let the car cool. I googled the nearest garage and a local Pep Boys came up. When we got there, they were completely booked for the day and unable to help me out. However, the woman working at the desk recommended that I go to AAMCO at 1742 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ‎, and even called ahead to let them know that I’d be coming. I was apprehensive, not being from this area and having only a limited understanding of cars but I had no choice but to take a chance.I cannot speak highly enough of Victor Catano and his staff at AAMCO! When we arrived, we were clearly distraught. Victor assured me that he’d figure out the problem, which he did. He went out of his way to get the part that was needed and even kept the shop open late in order to complete the job. His pricing was fair and the overall service and attention were exceptional from explaining my options to getting us lunch while we waited. We were clearly from out of town and the staff at AAMCO took what could have been a disaster and instead made sure we were taken care of as if we were regular customers. Dealership couldnt figure out what was wrong with my car so they referred me here.

I wouldn’t go there again . I took my Ford Explorer 2103 for water leaking . They took more than 24 hours to diagnose the problem and came up with 3700 usd to fix it . Out of it 3000 it self for the labor charges. I got fixed it from another place for the total cost was 1000 usd with one year warranty for it . Basically they are charging3 times if labor cost from customers than the regular rates . With the heavy maintenance and all it’s ok to charge bit more than the usual/regular rates but not 3 times . I guess they are well hooked up with government contracts and repairs so very minor attempt to the drivers like us . I wouldn’t say the they are talking to me super friendly either . They were more like government offices ( driving license issuing place ) than a private business. Nothing personal. I hope this helps them to improve their services and personal services/ efficiency in future transactions.

The person at the front desk is a douchebag! They will get the work done, but the customer service is the worst i have ever seen. I would have rather given my business somewhere else.Avoid this place.

After all research on brake service, I found this place trustworthy from the reviews it has on google. But unfortunately it came out to be a troublesome. I dropped my car at 1:30 pm and the store manager told me that you will get a call from us regarding whats need to be fix and you will get your car on the same day by 6 pm. Neither I get the call from them and when I called them they told me that they havent check the issue and you will not be able to get your car by the end of the day. So, I suggest to people that you make sure that you will get your car done by the time they mention and I will not give them business in future.
