This was my first time in the Jeffersonville store. Ive been to the Louisville store many times. This is a smaller version, for sure, but you get the same knowledgeable, helpful staff and that is really the selling point at Preston Arts. There are lots of places to buy art supplies, but this is a family business that hires professional, knowledgeable artists to staff their stores and to teach their classes. If you are a serious artist, you can count on them to have...or get...what you need. If you are a beginning, hobbyist artist, they will help you on your way. And they will sell you what you need, not necessarily what is most expensive. I am not an artist, but I shop for people who are, which is why I so often choose Preston Arts.
Small yet attentive to those who enter. Limited supply offering but a great spot nonetheless. Rachel was a huge help to our budding artists! Larger sister store in Louisville.
As an Art Store it doesnt have much, but they classes that are offered make up the difference. My mom and I took a novice stained glass class. Learned a lot, loved the bird I made and plan to go back for another class.
Took a stained glass class. So much fun and very fascinating. Lori did an excellent job as instructor.
The owner is third generation Preston. Very helpful and friendly. Not intimidating for new artists. Classes offered also.
The most wonderful art supply store around. ❤️Knowledgeable, family owned, always helpful.
If only they hadnt left New Albany. Really liked the Pearl St location
Super friendly and helpful to a non-artist, lots of interesting class offerings, looking forward to having this new location in Jeffersonville!
