Screw this place . Reeks of oppressors . “Haha, we don’t help the needy vision impaired people .what do we look like doctor’s? “((Scammers))Our tax dollars go to these insurance companies that pay these people to do there job for us and they charge even more because they don’t want people getting a free ride...It sounds Like they are the ones getting the free ride to me.
They were super friendly and it was a quick visit, I ended up laughing with the eye doctor and the wonderful lady that rang me up 10/10
Worst vision establishment Ive ever been to. Ive gotten better customer service and contact lenses, at a better price, from Walmart. The lenses I received from them are so cheap that I have to use hand soap and microfiber cloths to clean deposits off them several times a day. Ive worn contacts since I was 14, and have never had to use hand soap and a microfiber cloth to clean my lenses before. The staff is extremely rude, and know nothing about customer service. Ive worn contacts longer than I havent and have one contact lens that sits so high on my eye that I can see the edge of the lens, and I was told thats just how my eye is ... funny, my eye wasnt like that for the last 40 years of my life. I was also told my the eye doctor that I didnt need to understand what was going on with my vision because hes done this for a long time. I tried reaching out to customer service via the corporate website months ago, got a BS scripted/standard response then nothing. One can only assume that customer service means nothing to this company as a whole.P.S. Ive been trying to get a set of contact lenses I can see properly out of since January 2020, and Ive yet to accomplish that, and Im out-of-pocket over $400 on top of what my insurance paid them.
The people who work here are so rude. Took my friend that I take care of here. First time they seen me take her wheelchair out the car to get her inn. Let me come inside to tell me they need to reschedule. Go today was 5 min late cause my friend who has MS was having a rough time and they wouldn’t see her. Sad part is they thought it was ok to let us get out and come in knowing the Dr. wasn’t there the first time. I wouldn’t take my dog there.
This place definitely doesnt care about the customer. I bought my glasses there 2 yrs ago. I went there last week because one of the pads fell off and the girl took forever trying to change the pads. Another girl went and took over and it took 5 seconds to put them on. After I left I felt like something was on my glasses and took them off. There was some kind of film on the lens. I went back and they wouldnt do anything and said it didnt happen there. The girl just looked on computer to see if they were still covered under insurance for me to buy another pair of glasses. Yea I have $500 in my back pocket! NEVER WILL I GO BACK THERE. 🤬
People here are unprofessional and rude. Dont want to even check your prescription when you say you cant see correctly. Offers glasses to choose from that are hidden under the counter and all are very outdated and ugly frames. No small sizes. I paid almost 200 dollars for glasses I never wear. This is in addition to insurance. What a rip off.
Stopped in to get eye exam and picked out frames! Gave them my insurance card and they said it came back no coverage! Got home called ins comp! YES you have coverage! Called them back the next day! Gave info over the phone, oops you do have coverage. We will just run it through your insurance comp then Give you a refund! I spent $625. After 4 calls and one visit, they tell me they can’t give me a refund. The manager never would come to the phone!!! With the exception of 1 employee they were ALL RUDE!!!!!!! NeVER AGAIN!!!!!
Excellent service,friendly staff,and clean environment.They get you in,and out!👌🏾
Never go here! My family has gone to St. Charles Vision for 20 plus year. They recently sold out to My Eye DR. Before when I called for a question I was always greeted by a friendly voice who knew me and was eager to help. That is definitely not the case now. The employees now are rude and incompetent. Typical local owned business selling out to a big corporation. I will find a new business that will hopefully be like St. Charles Vision was before the sell out. The new employees could care less about loosing 5 customers that were very loyal and long time customers. If Dr. McGuinness was to leave this company and went solo, I would definitely see him again. Its now all about the MONEY!
Be aware that there are limited times for medical appointments. Regardless, they were able to fit me in on short notice and I had a great experience with my doctor. Thanks!
Was a great business as St. Charles vision . Now sold out to My Eye Dr. New employees are rude and not interested in helping. I asked them to talk to Dr. McGuiness about something and they said that they were busy and didnt have time. After 20 plus years my family has decided we will go somewhere else.
Please, verify with your insurance about coverage completely. This company will try to add extra money that is covered by your insurance already.
NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! The woman with 25 years experience who saw me SHREDDED my prescription because I did not reply to them in a timely manner - whatever that means!!! IM THE CUSTOMER! Youre on MY TIME! I was flabbergasted! Not only have you lost a customer, you have lost my respect... enough for me to go through the trouble of posting this sad excuse for customer service online. Shame on you. If you must go to St. Charles Vision, go to another location! 25 years experience??? TIME TO RETIRE!!!
This place is absolutely amazing! I went to the location on St. Charles Avenue and they made me feel terrible about not getting glasses or contacts at the time of my appointment and then were very rude when I asked questions so I could better understand the process because I had never worn contacts before and my prescription turned out to be wrong. I was reluctant to go to a different location under the same company umbrella; however, they were highly recommended by a friend so I tried them out. Im so glad I did! They greeted me warmly when I walked in the door, they took care of calling my insurance company to make sure my benefits were up-to-date, explained everything about the contact wearing process and the financial pieces. I walked out of there knowing so much more about my insurance benefit and my prescription for glasses AND contacts were spot on! I highly recommend the Elmwood St. Charles Vision.
I encountered an employee who was just watching the clock at the end of the day. Rude older lady with permed dirty blonde hair. Misquoted price on the phone then in person nonchalantly claimed it was due to extra shipping costs. She was not apologetic for giving the wrong price. In fact, she was angry that I even questioned the price difference. Was talking to me without making eye contact and walking away as she was finishing her explanation. I never had a chance to finish our conversation. So I decided to post about this horrible experience. This lady needs to retire.
Prompt professional service and they answered all my concerns to my complete satisfaction. I would visit them again and recommend them to my family and friends.
Amazing customers service, attentive and qualified workers,
