I was at one of their locations earlier this year they tried to send me off with a pallet of bricks no shrink wrap no bands. It wasnt until I asked how am I supposed to secure this until they said it was supposed to be shrink wrapped. I looked it as well for them it might just be one of those days. Today I have guys lined up at a job ready to repair wall all that needs to be done is pick up bricks. I am supposed to be fishing with my son and godson a trip that was planned for 2 weeks. My wife was supposed to pick up the bricks and the closer it got I could not in good conscience let her go due to what happened last time with the potential of her not being safe. I cancelled the fishing trip and decided to go my self this was all my decision. Loading the trailer this time the pallet of bricks are shrink wrapped, have bands and centered on a 20ft trailer no problems. The sand and mortar (about 20 bags combined) come up and they drop it on the rear of the trailer. Now im standing on the side with one of their truck drivers and we watch the rear of the truck raise and put a bind on the tongue of the trailer. Assuming I was good to go is what the forklift operator thought pulling my receipt off the clipboard to send me on my way. I told the truck driver thats what pisses me off hes going to let me leave like this. The truck driver runs around and tells the guy hey man all the weight is on the rear. The operator says then we have to unload it by hand. We unload it on the front of the trailer and no issues after that until I called the home office. I asked to speak with an owner they took my information and said I would be contacted. He then called me right back the same guy and said its been handled. Common sense will tell you no it wasnt because I asked to speak with the owner. I did not appreciate being contacted and in a very polite way getting blown off like its not that big of a deal the safety and security of my family is a big deal. I am not sure what im more pissed off about an employee having no concern for customer safety, an absentee owner that is not concerned or the thought of putting my wife in harms way due to someones gross negligence.
