After spending good money on this MX200 unit, its been nothing but issues. Ive had to work on it every year and spend money throwing parts at it for minimal usage. The worst part is NO ONE WORKS ON THESE THINGS AND ALL REPAIR SHOPS SAY THEY ARE FIRE HAZARDS! I am not your typical run it until it dies guy. We have kept it clean including filters, burn box, etc. we only put straight used motor oil in the tank and even keep separate drain canisters so that our oil never gets mixed with pollutants. Yet here we are, another year with this piece of junk not working . Wish I had never bought it. If you are thinking about going this route, DONT!! save your time and frustration and buy from someone else. Lanair products dont last, dont work, and there is literally NO ONE that will work on it. The only thing I can see they take pride in that I can see is the fact that they will tell you there is no one to work on their product, once you buy it, its yours and you better learn to work on it. Everyone you call for service will tell you exactly what I will now, best thing to do is scrap it and buy another brand to replace it.

Hands-down by far one of the best companies that I do business with. From start to finish top-notch service. Technical department unbelievable. On-site pick up available and they even loaded in your truck for you for no extra charge

They produce a very top quality product but the overall price doesnt justify in my opinion. a waste oil boiler is 10k with a life span of 20 years. a lp fuel boiler with same btu is 3200. with fuel cost over 20 yeard costs 12k. so in my opinion that 2k difference isnt justified.

We purchased a lanair oil heater 2 years back. while we where having the machine serviced the technician noticed a crack in the heat chamber. We called lanair and talked with Dane Arpiainen. he asked if the cracked was in the rear on the bricked side because if that was the case it was over fired and would not be covered under the warranty. we told him no it is on the front side towards the door at the time he told us we must have an exhaust/vent problem and that is not covered as well. after taking a bunch of pictures Dan called me back. Dan said his boss kevin knox said it is not covered because the pictures indicate to him that is was over fired. They did offer to pay halve of the repair . I believe from the conversations I have had with this company your lucky to get half off something warrantied. By the way I did not take them up on the halve deal as I would rather buy a new machine from a company i can trust.I didnt mention that after the first three months of use the igniter went out. we purchased a new one without contacting lanair about possible warranty. but when the chamber cracked we gave them a call.

WASTE OILHEATER BUYERS READ THIS FIRST!I CALLED AND SPOKE TO LANAIR PRODUCTS LLC AND EVEN TOLD THEM ILL BE POSTING THIS, GUESS THERE IS ENOUGH BUSINESS OUT THERE THAT IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER.I PURCHASED A LANAIR 300 WASTE OIL HEATER FROM THEM AND MADE SURE I GOT THE ONE WITH THE SQUIRREL CAGE INSTEAD OF A FAN SO THAT WE CAN ADD DUCTWORK TO DIRECT HEAT TO WHERE OUR GUYS NEEDED IT MOST.THIS UNIT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE FROM DAY ONE AND BEING IN THE REPAIR BUSINESS, IM AWARE THAT SOMETIMES THIS CAN HAPPEN.THEY HAVE NO SERVICE PEOPLE WHETHER PAID OR WARRANTY ANYWHERE CLOSE TO OUR AREA. IVE REPLACED TRANSPORMER, IGNITER, SPRAY NOZZELS, SPRAY GUN AND MANY MANY OTHER SERVICES WHEN THE UNIT GOES DOWN. LAST YEAR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HEATING SEASON, THE SERVICE GUY WE FOUND (OVER AN HOUR AWAY AND THEY BILL FOR TRAVEL TIME) FOUND A CRACK IN THE HEATING BOX. WHEN CALLING LANAIR, I WAS TOLD IT WAS PROBABLY AN INSTALATION PROBLEM THAT CAUSES SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND SAID I NEEDED TO SEND PICS OF LOTS OF STUFF INCLUDING MY CHIMMNEY BEFORE THEY WOULD DETERMINE IF IT WAS COVERED. I FOUND THAT GETTING THE HEAT UP WAS MORE IMPORTANT TIME WISE THEN THE WARRANTY SO I HAD MY OWN GUYS WELD THE BOX. MANY MORE STORIES BUT TODAY WAS THE STRAW THAT BROKE MY BACK.I WANTED TO HAVE 2 SMALL O-RINGS IN STOCK SO THAT WHEN I SERVICE THE SPRAY NOZZEL (WHICH IS NECCESSARY OFTEN) ID HAVE THE PART.IN MY INDUSTRY SIMILAR O-RINGS ARE PENNIES EACH, i KNEW AND EXPECTED TO PAY WAY MORE FROM THE HEATER SUPPLIER. I PLACED THE ORDER AND ASKED IF THEY COULD PLACE THESE 2 O-RINGS (SMALLER THEN A QUAURTER AND PAPER THIN) INTO AN ENVELOPE AND MAIL IT SO I CAN SAVE FREIGHT.IM TOLD THAT THEY CAN ONLY SHIP PARTS UPS. I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISOR, HE REPEATED THE SAME THING AND AFTER ASKING HIM FOR A SIMPLE ACCOMODATION,HE SAID THEY CANT AND WONT THAT IF HE COULD HE WOULD BUT THE COMPANIES POLICY.............SO I PAID $26.00+ TO HAVE THESE ORINGS SHIPPED.IM NOT AN I RATE CUSTOMER NOR HAVE I LOST MY TEMPER, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS MAJOR ADJUSTING
