Jamestown Outdoors was a highlight of our vacation. We rented 3 kayaks at a very reasonable price for 2 hours. We booked online the same day but arrived earlier than expected. I spoke with the owners when we arrived and they were able to get us going earlier than we had booked. Beth was so nice and really helpful.Overall this was a great experience; the Jamestown harbor offers great views of the Newport Bridge and the suggested route was perfect. I highly recommend Jamestown Outdoors, and be sure to visit their store just up the street. Great people and a fun day so I highly recommend it!

Such a fun time! We rented two tandem kayaks and one of the riders was a young child so the staff gave them a half of a paddle to use (which they absolutely loved). We all had such a fun time exploring the waters around Jamestown. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We go to Newport a lot to visit and this was our first time trying something outside of Newport and I’m so glad we did! I highly recommend!

We had the best time kayaking! We rented two kayaks at $35/person for 2 hours. The kayaks were clean, the route recommended was beautiful, and we were able to rent same day (a Monday at 11:30 am). The website wasn’t taking reservations so we called. We would definitely do it again! The staff was very friendly and there was a great bathroom to change in.

We had the best time!!! They were quick, thorough and safe. Very accommodating. During our outing on kayaks and paddle boards, theres a little beach to park and swim at with beautiful clear water. Unlike Mobile Kayaks, they will come through!

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! Amazing staff, great location (parking lot and free street parking), quality kayaks. They were so accommodating and willing to work with me and my partner when we were running a little late coming back. Will def be back and highly recommend that you give them a shot as well!

Came here for bike rentals to use during the weekend and it was a seamless rental experience - from initial inquiry to drop-off. The staff are all incredibly nice and are completely understanding of normal wear-and-tear on the bikes (they were new ones that we were breaking in). On top of that, the store has some cool merch to cover things you forgot to pack for the trip, or as a souvenir of Jamestown. Definitely coming back to them for next years trip!

The guy who runs this place is very nice. We showed up at 4pm, and they were supposed to close up shop at 5, but he was kind and let us rent 2 tandem kayaks for 2 hours. We actually stayed out 2.5 hours, but he did not charge us extra. Thank you!

Graet store and friendly staff. We werent able to rent kayaks because the water was to cold but my wife bought some new shoes. We got a free map and some good advice as to where we could ride our bicycles.

Neat little store, a baby REI with a small town feel. Decent selection of everything needed to enjoy the great outdoors, but at full MSRP. Theres bike and car parking, and the service is friendly. Theres even comfy chairs to relax in while the rest of your party continues shopping.
