I rented a 26’ Supermover from this store with a tow dolly to tow my 2019 Ford Escape. We moved from Jacksonville, FL to Little Rock, Arkansas. All these details were in my rental agreement. Tell me why when it was getting dark near Mobile, Alabama did I find out I had a headlight out? After arriving at my motel, I walked around the truck again to see what else was wrong. I found my front tires to be bald and was praying I’d be able to make it the 8 hours the next day. I made it to Sherwood, Arkansas where I had reserved a storage unit 3 weeks prior to be informed there was no storage available and they would reserve a unit for me across town. I told them about the tires and showed them a picture of the steel showing. Did they advise me to call or have the problem fixed, no. They told me to turn the truck in at the other location across town. On my way there the next morning, I had a blowout and had to sit on the side of the road for 2 hours for the tires to be fixed. Thank God my wife, myself, the car we were towing, and our belongings weren’t all lost in that moment. I have called customer service 3 times to try and talk to someone about why/how they let this happen and haven’t been able to talk to anyone from that store. I did get an automated email stating they were refunding a small portion of the amount of the rental but that is all. See the pictures attached and buyer beware.

They were very friendly! The manager fixed my mistake with my reservation (11pm?? Wat?). The staff was able to get me in a moving vehicle that day. They even held on to my keys that I left behind! But they took care of this hot mess (me) and everything but the unpacking is done.And they signed my cast :)

I reserved a appliance dolly on Tuesday for the following Saturday morning. I get there and Im told they dont have any. After 20 minutes of them looking thru trucks, they finally found one. This should have been waiting for me. Not me waiting for it. The people were very nice though.

No! No! No!To the customer that just recently ordered a trailer hitch, and you’ve been waiting on it, message me- the gentleman you have been dealing with had a lot to say about you.I walked in 10/15 minutes for my appointment, did online express check-in. There were about 8 people in front of me, I thought it was odd because I didn’t see any one of these 8 people being helped. So, my partner and I waited and their employee door is paper thin and the entire space heard awful things about customers, coming from two employees in the back then they switched to talk about their family, which was not nice either. Meanwhile, my partner and I had been there for almost an hour (none of the people before me have been helped); so yes! I was annoyed, the poor lady in front of me said something to a passing person who then accused her of a attitude (she didn’t) but I’ll say this, even she did, she had to been there longer than hour with no help in sight, so anyone deserves to be frustrated but again, she was nice. Well, I went and knocked on that employee door for assistance, neither could help. One went to look for someone that could. The other, an older lady stands behind the counter and watches this younger women who just came in to assist from a different department (you can tell it wasn’t the first time they pulled her from her actual job to clean up then rental desk’s mess). The older lady that was chit chatting in the back for an hour had the nerve to just stand there, not help, not apologize for not even acknowledging the 8-10 people she had accumulated over the last hour and a half of her conversation in the back. Made sure to accuse me of lying about overhearing this conversation, rest of the customers then say they heard as well and I 100% let her know that I recorded after the first “airhead” comment I heard about a customer. It was gettin juicy why not get a show while waiting, thanks for that. But for her to look me in my eyes and deny it, y’all. It took everything I had not to let her know what I thought about her opinions we were all hearing. Clear distaste for free thinkers and different people, that’s all I will say about that. Absolutely worst experience (minus the young lady who checked me out - she was trying and we have all been there, she was doing her best)! Then alright turning it in right... NO ONE WAS THERE TO TURN IT IN TO &&& THE LINK WASNT WORKING! Convenient they didn’t have my contract number in the system? Do not, do not rent from this location! You need a truck? Message me! I’ll find one for you! Don’t use UHAUL on Normandy. It’s a circus, they don’t care about their service or their product and don’t stay to end of shift. Left keys in box, who wants to take bets they try and overcharge me?Complete joke!

I just had a couple propane tanks filled for our forklift at work. The propane price was very good, a lot cheaper than having the tanks delivered and we got them a lot quicker. They guy that filled them for me was pretty lazy, didn’t even offer to help me load or unload the tanks, maybe it’s their policy, but he didn’t seem very willing to move them more than a few feet away from the scale.

Make sure you take a picture of the fuel and mileage with your phone! The phone they use to chk mileage doesnt always work properly and by me taking pics it saved me alot of money and being charged for fuel that the truck was given to me a notch below! I also rented a storage unit on the outside! Its always blocked mostly by other U-Haul trucks in need of repairs or just blocked, it was explained to me they have no where else to park the trucks! My response is I cant get to my unit y not park them n front of units thats have chains(renters havent pd)? Trucks are still being parked in front of my storage after talking to an employee several times! Today I called and finally got someone so I could pay my storage! They informed me I wld have to pay a late fee! I said my payment was due on the 8th its the 13th, the last day of grace period, I shld t be charged. Especially since I can never get to my unit! So Im waiting for the manager to call to see if he will credit the charges to my next mo bill! I told them if I have anymore problems Im calling corporate!The staff is always courteous and friendly.especially the assit manager .so I try not to be rude

If I could 0 stars I would! Customer service is piss poor. That never answered the phone and the 1800 # always has a 20 min or longer wait. I lost my key when I 1st moved end. Tried calling get info about how to get it cut off while at work. I don’t get of until 6pm. Had to get through rush hour traffic it was 6:40 when I arrived only to find the doors locked and lights out. But you have posted hours open until 7pm. I have had nothing but issues with this location since and will never be using Uhual storage again because of this I’ll send my hard earned money else where

Unfortunately in business, it is impossible to satisfy everyone. From my experience with this particular location, the staff tries to work quickly and adhere to any additional needs. As busy as they were this morning, I appreciate them for taking the time to assist us with the autotransport both connecting to the truck and securing our vehicle to it, not many locations do that. We appreciate your efforts.

Staff is HUSTLING!! I have used this site a few times (propane, trailer, boxes and truck) and I return because of Kirk and his attitude. He is very helpful and has a super attitude. Book in advance, plan ahead: If you have some patience, and see they are doing their best, they will help all they can. Thanks Kirk, UHaul and the Mgmt at this location.

On Sunday,, August 30, 2020 WE waited over an hour to get a transfer that was already paid for at another location. They had only one employee working and 12 ppl waiting for service. This is unexceptable!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!!!!! The only good thing was the young lady that was running the place by herself. She was very pleasant.

Damaged and lost my furniture and many other belongings in my move from Miami with their U-boxes. Never again!!! Tell everyone you knowNOT to use their U-boxes and criminal elementthey use to pack your belongings. You undoubtedly will be appalled. Their U- boxes fall apart and damage your things. THEN, they refer you to their pathetic insurance co. in Nebraska that offers no return calls and sketchy info.. If you are computer challengedGod help you.

Customer service is terrible and they add all these extra fees to your checking account plus I had 2 pending charges one for 152.00 and 105.00 to rent a truck for 3 hrs. That is outrageous!! Then wanted to argue with me about the charges. What happened to good customer service!!😠

Its a great store, but the waiting inside for help is pretty bad, always has been. Book trucks online and use the app. For supplies, order those as well and they can be shipped to your home. Only issue is, refunds for unused boxes can only be done at the store.

On 3 May 2020 I was helped by Darnell trouble shoot an electrical tailer wiring connector problem on my 2004 Chevy PU. What appeared to be a simple connector problem with my trailer light receptacle was more complex due to a grounding issue in reality. Darnell after initial trouble shooting did not work, continued to work the connector problem until the solution was found. He was very professional and friendly in his approach to solving the problem with the trailer light connector. He solved the problem and I left a Happy customer. Thank you Darnell.

This store is always busy in the morning. However the management only has one cashier and she has to do everything and I mean everything. It took 45 minutes to get a trailer this is rediculus. All those employees and not one could help the cashier till the manager decides to show up. The manager is irresponsible and lazy for making one person do it all.

BUYER BEWARE! These people are scum! If they inspect your truck & try to send you off stating theyll email you a receipt- You better go inside & get them to give it to you immediately. Because they will take advantage of you if you dont. Write down your miles, take a picture of them before/after & get your gas receipt as well. Or you will find yourself owing them a ridiculous amount of money for miles you DIDNT drive.The manager has a bag of excuses such as someone must have stolen the truck in the middle of the night & drove it 500+ miles But returned it with all my stuff inside & parked it in the same spot, so I could move the next day? All within 24 hours? Get real. Theyll credit you back at least. But not without a fight & refusing to admit they were wrong. Good Luck!

She was an excellent communicator, answered all my questions, and continues to help me navigate insurance questions I have been having. If I could have given them NO STAR I WOULD, I’ve used uhaul storage for years so I know the rules and fees but typically it’s the wonderful couple off Atlantic blvd, I got my extra small unit that’s not worth the price for $45 within 5 days of due date I’ve had $100 in late fees and get threaten my things will be up for sale and yes within the same month it is due, so I had to pay $151 for a $45 unit 😐.like I said I’ve used uhaul for years so this is very outrageous,I really hate this location and it’s not my first bad experience with them but WILL BE MY LAST so now I’m warning others DONT USE THIS LOCATION THEY ARE THE WORST,their customer service is rude as if your interrupting them by asking question, Never have a friendly disposition,or a smile on their face, manga gene to just as bad they just need to SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN

WARNING - DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE! They rip off old people. Double charged for a service and even the national u-haul customer service center cant get them to answer their phone. I just tried to call and their phone number is no longer in service. Guess I will have to call the credit card company and have them stop the charges.

She drives an hour to get there and the guy behind the counter says that unit isnt available yet but I can give you a different unit thats bigger.. ok, so you upsell her something she doesnt need. Failed in every possible way. Booked hitch fitting 2 weeks ahead for a Friday, got a call thursday (day before fitting) to say part isnt in. Booked for Monday instead. Got a text next day saying Im booked for Tuesday (wrong day). Called up to move back to monday, said theyd call me back when hitch guy is around. No call back for 2days so I call again on Sunday, confirm that its now booked in for the Monday, and its all in the system. Arrive Monday and the hitch fitter is not there. They call him, we wait, he arrives and tells us we are booked for the Tuesday. Explain situation, he said ok thats fine. He comes back 10mins later telling us the hitch isnt in, and nowhere in jacksonville has it. Wasted an hour of our time and ended up having to get a refund as were leaving the next day. Utterly disappointing.

On Friday June 2 I stopped by my brother Jeff Otiss house. He was finishing up loading into a U-Haul his entire contents of the house he sold on May 28 here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Later that night he would begin a drive to Cape Coral Florida. He would begin his dream of once again living in beautiful Florida along side his daughter Alicia, her husband Joe and their beautiful son Ryan( his first grand child) . He would start a new job on Wednesday June 7 the same day he would celebrate his 47th Birthday. On June 3rd while traveling southbound on interstate 75 with his son Jeff and wife Shena following close behind my brother lost control of the U-Haul he was driving, struck a tree and was killed instantly. A couple days later I was contacted by Chris Ferguson from the U-Haul Company of Tallahassee. Chris notified me that the truck with my brothers entire lives material contents was at your facility on 5481 Normandy Boulevard Jacksonville Florida. He told me that we could come to get his belongings at any time of are choosing. He also offered that instead of us having to load his belongings up into another truck and drive it all the way back to Cincinnati( his wife decided she did not want to live in Florida without her husband) that he could have the contents loaded into containers and shipped at no cost to my grieving family. This was a very welcomed offer as me and my brother were not looking forward to driving a U-Haul back. I asked if we could be present when the contents would be transferred and he told me absolutely. Myself my other brother Bobby and two nephews Bobby III and Alex boarded a flight on Wednesday June 7 and arrived at your Jacksonville facility June 8th. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly young woman that escorted us to the garage bay were the truck was being stored. At the garage bay we were greeted by a team of friendly U-Haul employees. As we walked into the garage and seen the truck for the first time we were given space by your team until we were able to compose ourselves. As your team transfered my brothers belongings they were very friendly and would pause the process the many times that me and my family would break down and need a minute. The entire day Chris and your employees were more than happy to fulfill any and all request we may have had and even bought us lunch which was very needed. I am writing this email to let U-Haul as a company know how lucky they are to have Chris Ferguson and all of the employees at the Normandy Boulevard facility working for them. I would love to give a heart felt THANK YOU from the Otis Family to Chris and your employees that made one of the hardest days of my life just a little easier. I called for a reservation for a 20 foot truck for local use on Friday 4/10/2015 around 10 am. I was told no problem the lady checked and said they had several 20 trucks available for local 8 hour or 1 day rental. She said if I did not need the truck for the whole day I could just rent it for 8 hours for about half the price of a daily rental. She took my name and reserved a truck for me, I thought. 3 hours later on my way to their facility I received a call from a lady at U-Haul verifying that I still needed the truck this afternoon. I replied Yes I am on my way and she told me that when I arrived at their location just give them my phone number and they will pull up my reservation. Sounded Great to me.As I arrived I walked into the Normandy Blvd facility and went to the counter to talk to someone about getting the truck I reserved. The gentleman greeted me asked how he could help and I told him I was their to pick up a 20 truck for local use. He rudely informed me that we do not rent 20 trucks for local use. I expressed that I had a reservation. He fumbled around for 5 minutes and then told me that he could not find any reservation under my name or phone number. I tried to show him on my phone that someone from their location had just called me 20 minutes earlier to confirm my reservation and he would not even look at my phone and told me that it did not matter because they did not rent 20 trucks locally. I said okay I would take a 15, or 18 foot. He then informed me that they were all booked up and did not have any trucks of any kind to rent. I was very persistent and then he asked a lady behind the counter if he could rent me a 26 truck for local use. After I insisted they rent me something they rented me the 26 truck. I then asked about the 8 hour rental instead of the 24 hour rental. The guy looked at me and laughed and said 1 hour or 24 hours its the same rate. I expressed to him that I was told differently and he just insisted that their call center must have informed me incorrectly and told me I could take it or leave it. I then proceeded with the rental of the 26 truck. As I merged onto the interstate I notice that the drivers side mirror was loose to the point it was literally blowing in the wind back and forth. The front tire on the drivers side was so out of balance that you could not drive over 50 MPH. Upon returning the truck the same gentleman greeted me at the drive area to inspect the truck this was about 3 hours later. He asked me if I was done with the truck and I said yes. I then again inquired about the 8 hour rate and he again rudely told me it did not exist. I suggested that maybe he should inform their call center and he expressed it was not his job.I have run companies with as many as 450 employees and 350 million dollars in annual revenue. This by far was the worst customer service I have ever received by any company. I guess they accomplished one thing on Friday that was to loose me as a customer.I look forward to hearing from someone at U-Haul. You have my contact information.

I go there to get propane for my gas grill. The service is terrible. The tanks are not filled correctly ( bleed valves not opened) and the employees sit behind the desk on their cell phones while customers wander around the pumps waiting for service . Customer service sucks!!!
