Very nice environment bartenders are well rounded with their drinks they work their tails off and they need to be tipped good all in all is a nice place to hang out to have a beer or cocktail listen to some music and dance and play darts but you got to smoke outside

Had a great time at the Roost. Love that they have a variety of activities. Played pool for 3 hrs. Bartenders were great!

My husband and I went to The Roost for the first time last night and had an awesome time. Great drink specials, billiard tables, and great people. We will absolutely be coming back for our next date night.

Local country bar. Cold beer and good pool tables! Draft and bottle beer. Liquor in front, lounge in the back! ;)

Not a place I’d visit twice.

Authentic country bar atmosphere. Plenty of games, especially darts. Dance floor, dj booth. Cheap drinks. I was too early. At 9:30 there was no one there. The front door was a little hard to find. Located behind a drive through liquor store.

Fun bar.

Its not a question of hating. The bar tenders were good, the music was fun, but there is a back door that no one guards so a lot of underage kids were in the place which makes me uncomfortable.

I got there close to closing on a Friday night but it was packed. The bartenders and security were nice... And I was able to get a good drink before I left. The dj was cool and the music was nice. Ill be back!

Nice place. I was there only to throw darts in their Sunday blind draw tournament(s). I would/will go back. They have Tvs, jukebox, soft & steel tip darts boards, 3 pool tables, food.

This is more of a neighborhood bar. Its the kind of place youll find Regulars. The bartenders are always nice! They offer beer and liquor and have a drive thru liquor store. They have pool tables and dart boards. Very quiet during the day with Karaoke and filled dance floor on the weekends. Can get crowded and rowdy at certain times, as with any local joint, but is usually a fun place to go, with a small group of friends.

People are amazing! Kelley hands down is one of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Couldnt be happier and I visit this place frequently during the week and during the day hours! Thank you for always providing great service and exceptional drinks!

Terrific folks; regular, working-class people who are friendly and inclusive. The pool players who go there are easy-going and fun to play with and against. Heather, one of the bartenders, keeps the place humming happily and efficiently. I recommend it highly.

Great place to go for anyone. DJ plays a wide variety of a different types of music and artists. Bartenders could be faster at acknowledging customers at the bar trying to order drinks but when the order is placed the drinks are made quickly and good.

Cool place, and safe for the Westside..

Well only took me waking up six times in a random truck bed to post this review..... but this place is a local gem. If you’re gonna wear girl jeans and tuck your shirt in while drinking a martini and wanna hear Ariana grande, not your place. But if you wear Levi’s and boots and wanna jam to country and new/old hip hop while drinking a bud light and playing darts with your step-cousin, you’ll invest here. Staff is polite, crowd behaves, and cigs are allowed . Stop in on a Friday ya hear!

I went on a SATURDAY. DJ was great ayed a lot of dancing music. He catered to the country people as well as hip hop and throwbacks. The bar was very live and fun. The drinks were strong but I can appriciate that and that also explains the price of them as i see thats a complaint often. If you found my review helpful dont forget to give me a thumbs up!

Went here with a couple of my kids for my birthday!! Its a little expensive. $10 a pitcher of beer,,, and it just goes up from there!! But we enjoyed ourselves!! Played pool. Listened to the music of a DJ. Nice place!!

Its an ok tavern they have 3 pool tables and about 15 dart boards the bar definitely needs more help tending they did play a mix genre and we enjoyed the drinks they werent shorting on alcohol

Some of the highest drink prices in Westside, Jacksonville. Rude bartenders in no hurry to serve customers, in need of Customer Service skills. Still not what it use to be, even after a partial remodel. Never know when they will have entertainment. They use to have one of the best Karaoke venues, now hit and miss.

At closing time a very large ape man(bouncer)was all up in a local womans face about signing a tab. 10 times her size, major intimidation. We were threatened by the little boy(other bouncer)to just leave...shes a local, happens all the time we left when the gorilla moved away from her.She was just drunk and they were viscous to her.Almost filmed it so the police could see it.
