Love Barz. I am very sad that they will be closing after almost 49 years of business in the same location. Rick and Elaine give the place a hometown feeling and are welcoming to everyone. They will be sorely missed.

I dont stop by very often, but I feel at home when I do. I lived on the island back in the day when Elaines parents owned and ran the little package bar. I loved her mom. She was the sweetest, outgoing, and always full of smiles. Im proud of Elaine for carrying on the hard work and dedication. I know her parents are proud also.

Truly a hidden gem. A neighborhood bar with the neighborhood attitude. Definitely on the correct side of the river. Northside, relaxed attitude. Mrs Elaine is really holding it down for a taking it easy atmosphere.

One of my favorite places to go when I am out riding. Elaine and Rick are phenomenal bar owners, prices are very reasonable and the patrons are always having a great time. Its right on the St. Johns River so the view is spectacular. If you ride, this place is a must. Marc Tippy Pica

Mr. Elaine is a real nice woman. Every time we visit rhe jetties this is a must to stop place. Its located right next to the ferry.

Friendliest people around Jax and that includes owners Rick & Elaine as well as the patrons. They have karaoke in alternate Saturdays and its the most fun you could have with your clothes on!

Elaine and Rick are local icons. Elaines family has owned this establishment since it was a drive-thru package store. Rick works a crane at the port. A great place to stop, have a beer and watch the ships moving in and out of the port.
