Tried this out for lunch time through grub hub. Ordered the meatloaf with mac and cheese and collards. I ended up getting a smothered pork chop. Im not sure if the order was wrong or if they were just out of meatloaf? Either way, I loved the food. Everything was extremely good and you get huge portions. I will definitely try this place out again but may opt to go to the restaurant and order to make sure my food is correct.

Place seems to be losing it. Food not seasoned well, rice was mushy. Server made the comment Im gonna have to charge you extra for another portion doesnt matter I explained, if I ordered it I must want it. Not coming back. Too many much better places to eat in Jville. Spent $35 should have went to Wendys. I hope they get it together if they want to makeit through the summer.

Yesterday was my first time visiting and I am so in love..❤️ Everything was awesome. I have literally been wasting my money trying to find that down home southern taste now I know where to get it.

I decided that I wanted to try this place due to a recommendation and I called at 10:57am to see what was on the menu for today. I asked the lady that answered what was on the menu for today and she says “the usual ma’am we’re not even open yet” well I have never been to this place so how the hell am I supposed to know. Also, why does three minutes before open matter? You’re literally about to open the doors. So then she starts to say what they have in a aggravated tone. So I politely said thank you and hung up. First impressions are always something I look for. I do not tolerate disrespect so I will never know how good this place really is.

Do yall check your orders before they go out? Order baked,smothered and two fried chicken entrees. Got the first two right but the fried was baked. You dont have to be from the south to know the difference. Tried calling several times fix it but no answer. Forget it i know o wont spend another penny

I love this place. When I lived locally my husband and I would eat in regularly now we make sure to stop in Everytime we come back to FL. Everything weve ever had there is delicious. Jason loves the baked spaghetti and I love the greens and Mac n cheese. It is a hidden gem for sure.

Over priced for cheap food. They do not give you enough for the high price. I ordered a rib dinner ($15) for my mother. They gave me 3 half a rib bones. Yes... I said half. They literally gave me bottom half of the rib. It looked like the cut the top of the rib off where the meat is and left the bone. I will never go back to that place. They are not worth it.

The Food Portion size and price is good! Worth the visit if you want some southern food to fill even nook and cranny in your belly! The place is always packed so have patience!ConsNo parking ever!Poor customer service

Heard good things about their baked spaghetti. I went at opening time because I wanted the spaghetti fresh out the oven. Get there and they tell me it will be 20mins before its ready. I left and came back and they told me 15mins. I left and came back AGAIN (this time 40mins later than the 15mins they told me the 2nd time). They tell me I can get the spaghetti but without the cheese. My thing is, why would you bake spaghetti without the cheese? Instead of stalling and wasting peoples time, it will be best to tell the truth, which would have been We are not serving spaghetti today.Dont LIE AND MAKE EXCUSES. I left and went to soul food bistro...they never disappoint.

The lunch was Jambalaya with 2 sides and cornbread. It was over priced, the Jambalaya was dry as the Sahara desert. Collard greens was not seasoned well, I did enjoy the corn. I would recommend that prices be posted, and they should also offer lunch specials. My first and last time there.

Located in the heart of the gutter. You might see a crack fiend or two outside but the real star is the food. Get your meal to go before night falls! Food is yummy.

Great service, I have never been here before but went because the reviews and wanting to try something different on my lunch break. Ive never been here before and explained that to the guy who took my order and he was more than happy to explain how everything worked. The inside was nice as well as the whole set up, prices were great as well. Cant wait to go back! Was delicious

I went there for the first time last week, after a friend praised the beef oxtails... they were out of the oxtails so I tried the smothered pork chops, the service and food was great, the guy cashier made a mistake and put the sides from another customer on my plate and offered that plate to me and let me choose my two additional sides, at no additional charge...I went back yesterday for the oxtails and was throughly disappointed with the service, from the female cashier, I was not allowed to substitute mashed potatoes for the rice and had to purchase the the potatoes as an extra side (@$3.50) the oxtails were about 7 small pieces (@$16.99), and the corn bread was thin and burnt.

Firstly, I love the food. Food is amazing! The ladies and gentlemen assisting with my orders have always been nice. But... the Mac and Cheese is my favorite-- honestly was the reason I began coming since a coworker suggested it (as its closer to my office than Jazzys)-- however, after my experience today, I think Im going to give it a slight break. Like most, I have an hour lunch break, so I like to use my time wisely. I know sometimes places get crowded, or have sudden rushes... so before I drive the less than 2 miles to Blu Diner, I always call ahead and ask do you all have mac and cheese? I received a yes, so I got in my car right away and headed there. Got there, and to my surprise... there was no mac and cheese. Not like freshly emptied, but like... weve been out for about 20-30 minutes empty. I was told, Itll be 10 minutes, so I decided to wait (I mean, I have an hour... right?). But, then I was told, Its coming out now, itll be a few more minutes, and then finally after nearly 40 minutes of waiting... I peeked into the kitchen and saw that there was a woman just putting cheese on top of the mac and cheese and was again told, itll be 20 minutes. I dont usually ask for refunds from restaurants, I will pick an alternative or wait patiently... but today I asked for a refund. I ended up settling for McDonalds up the street instead of the mouthwatering lunch I had my heart set on. I love this little restaurant, but itll be a while before I come back.

It is worth going there food was good the servers is very friendly. I will be going back very soon. Excellent Soul Food.

They have a range of our down south favorites from baked spaghetti all the way on up to turkey wings Salisbury steak, oxtails, chitterlings you name it. They have a wide selection of greens. And the best baked mac n cheese hands down i love blue diner

Its a good Bistro the food is fresh but they can run out of some if your favorites on busy days. The food travels well if you like to go.

We always come to the restaurant when we’re in town. On the occasion 4/16/2021 around 4pm we stopped by while we were in town. First the cooks were in the back arguing. When I told the young lady that there was a problem in the back she stated it was normal. After we received our food and started eating our food was sour. It literally smelled bad. When the food was returned she stated hurry up you’re holding up the line.Several people were also coming in returning food that was sour. The food also was not hot. I wish I could give less stars. We wasted 100 dollars in food that we threw away!!! Never again!!

My wife and myself were visiting from out of town and truth is we wanted some great food and not fast food, Blu Diner did not disappoint! I got the Jambalaya with collard greens and Italian green beans and I must say that I dont eat rice of any kind but theirs looked to good with its blend of shrimp, sausage, red and green peppers and onions and it was superb, my wife had Turkey wings with macaroni and cheese and collard greens and she was especially happy with the excellent meal and seasoning, I am curious as to why this place doesnt have a line out the door as its a hidden gem!! The young lady was very nice and we loved her food, she is a wonderful person who makes you feel like family!!

Heard great things about the restaurant and the wide variety of dishes available. Various menus posted under the restaurant and in the photos. Chitterlings is listed on several menus as being served, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Came to the restaurant on a Friday, to purchase some and was told by a staff member that they NEVER had/served chitterlings at the diner. How is that possible, when multiple menus indicate the item was available? If the never is true, management should consider removing the false/outdated” advertisement menus, to avoid confusion and disappointment by customers. And perhaps ask staff, to show a little tact when responding to customer inquiries. Never and no longer serving an item, are two different responses.

The rest is tomorrows lunch. I cant t eat another bite.My husband had to save 1/2 his liver & onions for tomorrow. We just cant. We tried. The food just keeps calling us. But our stomachs keep saying, please try your call again later.Im going to sleep.

The Mac & cheese was just nasty very bland with a whole lot of black pepper. The corn bread was good and sweet.. my first and last time trying this place🤢🤮

Great home cooked meal and different choices to select from. Made with love style cooking and exactly what you want. Great and professional staff. Highly recommended. Had the Oxtail, lemon wings and pork chops, all with yellow rice, Mac and cheese and some collard greens for sides. And OMG the cornbread blew me away. Just thinking about it all have me getting hungry now. But definitely going back and it’s a must or you’re missing out on some great soul food. I was too hungry and forget to snap a pic but will definitely try to remember to do so on my next visits.

Tonight..i had collard greens they were gritty, and over seasoned. Also the white rice was hard. Baked chicken had no seasoning., snd the yams were decent thats whyy yall get the 2 stars, i really wish i couldve gave a star and a half!

The food is AMAZING! So many options to choose from I get something different every time! Okra, corn and tomatoes tastes like my grandma made it. Just wish the building exterior had better lighting, it would be much more inviting and feel safer at night. Its not the fault of the restaurant, the building owner needs to improve that ASAP.
