I have to say I never thought I would be lucky enough to experience ice cream that could even come close to the wonderful taste of ice cream the Bookworm,those older surely remember, but Oh My..Oh My...folks you have to make the pleasant easy drive to Dreamette in Jacksonville. It is the best tasting ice cream of my 58 years Ive ever experienced. The service is fast, friendly, and all in all a great treat. You better believe I will be going again this weekend. Ray Bryan I cant say thank you enough for sharing this taste of heaven on earth with me. Folks if you do nothing else go check this place out. It is terrific....Thanks Dreamette...great job!

We like to come here after all you can eat Sushi for desert. They have a nice variety of flavors, ice cream texture taste great and price is reasonable.

Dreamette ice cream is so good! I’m so glad that after living here for so long I was able to try it!!! There’s a sign that says, “You’ve tried the rest. Now try the best.” And I’m not going to lie: it’s probably the best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of soft serve ice cream. The line was long, but it goes really fast, so don’t let the length deter you! It’s absolutely worth it.A few things: it’s cash only, so make sure to bring that with you! And if you’re looking for vegan or non-dairy flavors, this isn’t the place for that unless you’ll have a slushy.

America needs more shops like this! The line was around the corner and now I know why. Simple comfort food prepared quickly, made with quality ingredients, for a great price with pleasant service. Nothing special, just easy to understand offerings done very well. Drove 20 minutes to try it out and was not disappointed!I had the fudge dipped strawberry waffle cone. A MEDIUM size. Dreamette is a Jacksonville institution. Im 47 years old and have been eating their confections since Jesus was in high school! The banana split (your pants) cups are one of lifes perfect pleasures. Dreamette got me through my college finals all those years ago. Some people do the freshman 15, I had the Junior 20 thanks to Dreamette! No regrets! I hope theyre around when I have to roll there in my wheelchair!

Absolutely delicious. Very fast and reliable, with tons of customizable options on the menu. The inly minor issue is that there is no acceptance for cards but the quality more than makes up for that. I personally recommend the chocolate dipped in peanut butter (I’m a simple man.)

Super old school. Even a small soft serve is huge. Always amazing. To all the mouth breathers leaving 1-star reviews about them only taking cash, did you not see all the giant signs posted everywhere that say No cards? No ones going to rob you over $10 Karen.

You dont take debit cards. What is it with the people in Florida not everybody carries cash. Your butterscotch milkshakes arent that great either. Always so delicious everytime I go. The portions are very large so if you are getting a small expect a medium because they rlly give you what you paid for.

Wow! Super fast service and really solid ice cream. There is parking and it can get crowded easily on a busy day. I ordered the Oreo sundae and immediately recieved it after paying. It was only a small and yet I felt so full. A great place to bring your kid as its fairly inexpensive.

I love that they have kiddie sized cones! We usually walk here with the kids and in summer days before we leave, the cones are ready to drop from the Florida heat! The kiddie size are pretty for toddlers who can’t keep up with the melt.I usually get the cookie dough in the milkshake and my partner loves the banana split or cotton candy milkshake! Great ice cream. My mom has been going there since she was a little girl and she is 70 so it was a nice treat to give her when she came to visit. Just know they only take cash no cards so make sure you have cash. If you have a dog with you they will make sure they have a great as well.

CASH ONLY. This is an old Jacksonville favorite. Their portion sizes are generous and their prices fair. What you see is what you get, and my only wish is that they would get real whipped cream because we love a hot fudge sundae or banana splits and they just seem naked without real whipped cream! Otherwise, their ingredients have a level of quality control and brand awareness (for example, they use real Oreo cookies and real Reeses peanut butter cups). They are almost always super busy so be patient and courteous from what can be a hairy parking situation to what is always a pretty fast moving but long line. I always get a little chuckle as to the demonstrably conservative leanings of the owner in this part of town when theyll post signs about denying you service for not having your pants pulled up, but have no issue serving the maskless during a global pandemic with a mask mandate and proudly taking a stance with all lives and blue lives matter. I cant believe I give them 5 stars, but it seems pretty live and let live and Im fine with that until proven otherwise. Did you notice they are CASH ONLY? :)

Loved this place! Cash only and somewhat of a line, but the cashier was efficient so it moved at a good pace. Several dipped coating flavors to choose from to top your basic soft serve flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry or swirl. There’s also sundaes, shakes and slushies if you prefer that to ice cream. Great summer treat!

Definitely on the short list for the best ice cream in Jacksonville. I prefer to get the cookie dough sundae with chocolate fudge or a dipped cone. Its a cash-only establishment, but its surprisingly cheap.

If you are ever in the area you HAVE to go here! They have tons of flavors and different dipped cone options. The sizes run large (ie the kids size is a normal sized icecream cone) and they have mastered the art of very low cost softserve!🍦🍨 not to mention the employees are very nice.

Cute little mom and pop place that has been in Jax for a long time. They are known for their dipped cones. They have so many dipping flavors I cannot even begin to name. I tried the butterscotch and I enjoyed it. Another great thing about this place is the price point, they have good reasonable pricing.Tip: Get EXTRA napkins and plan to eat your ice-cream quickly, it melts fast. :)

I was excited to finally experience Dreamette. The kids cup was reasonably priced and the perfect serving for my one-year old. He enjoyed every spoonful of his vanilla soft serve with the new cotton candy sprinkles. I tried the watermelon malt, but the flavoring was too faint so it ended up tasting more like vanilla soft serve. Still delicious, but not exactly the flavor I imagined. Id travel 30 minutes to try it again!
