Very high quality desserts packed with plenty of flavor. I really enjoyed my dessert which included one scoop of cookie dough and one scoop of ice cream. It provided a nice variety of flavor. The cookies and cream with cone was also on point. My daughter really enjoyed her cake pop. What a cool treat!Neat and clean location.Staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful with all of the options available.Highly recommend checking out this establishment.
Great choices in flavors and dessert items. I enjoy a great dessert and I will travel for it. But please grab a bottle of water as it is really packed with candy and chocolate goodness rich creamy delicious. Annnnd they are about to announce giving free ice cream scoop to All A All A/B Honor Roll as an award. Go check them out You wont be disappointed.
Wonderfully delightful & delicious! Several flavors to choose from and they have ice cream as well. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Wish we lived closer to frequent it more. Highly recommend if you have littles too. The kids cups were perfect size! Below is a picture of my ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookie dough. Thanks for a good 1st visit!!!
A DELICIOUS hidden secret that I am so thankful I found thanks to the awesome owner! Happy 1st birthday Doughserrts!! If you want to taste test a delicious King cake, you have to check this place out;even sweeter, today l, February 5, is “Doughserrts” first birthday so they are giving you a free slice of king cake to celebrate!! I was a little skeptical when I saw the king cake BUT, I left pleasantly surprised...this maple, pecan praline king cake is probably my favorite! The cinnamon in the dough is plentiful and the dough is super delicious, not dry, perfect! I actually think the way the cinnamon is added is better than a traditional king cake from Louisiana! Skip all the other imitators in Jacksonville and come here!! Y’all the owner is from Louisiana and his last name is Boudreaux, so he’s the real deal! Tell him Kimberly sent you, and head on down to get a free taste of home... laissez le bon temps rouler! The address is:7643 Gate PkwyJacksonville, Florida
It was great I just happen to be at a store in plaza. So I came in, I got a milkshake it was very good. What I thought was great that in the menu you can make your own ice cream sandwich. Im going to get one next time Im sure the taste and quality will be better than just grabbing one from some gas station.
This sweet shop is super adorable, brightly lit and colorful when you walk in. The staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining everything on the menu for newbies like us.After a walk through, we settled on a Chocolate Chip Brookie Bar and a cup of Salted Caramel Icecream mixed with their Butterscotch Blondie cookie dough. I made that call and my husband wasnt sure if it was going to be too much or not, but we went for it. And I think it was a good call! The cookie dough had the potential to be overpowering, causing the mixture to be too much or too sweet, but it was made with just the right amount of butterscotch and the dough was very mild. The salted caramel icecream was delicious! We both really enjoyed this combination. The brookie bar was rich! We ended up splitting it with my family and were glad we did. Its very tasty and very large, so if you dont split it with someone plan to snack on it for a while. And a glass of milk would probably go perfectly with it!Im glad we finally made it in here, as I had eyed it for a while, but dieting kept us away, until we said screw it, we are having a treat yoself day! Id say it was definitely worth the cheat
Doughsserts is a great little spot to go if you are craving something sweet. It is located in a tiny strip mall near Ikea, but its easy to overlook if you arent paying attention. They have a nice menu of assorted cookie dough, cookie dough bites, ice cream, regular cookies, cookie dough pops, cookie dough milkshakes, cookie sandwiches (with ice cream or cookie dough in between) and brownies. You will definitely find something to satisfy your sweet tooth here. Also, all of the items are homemade. On this visit my wife got a scoop of the cookies and cream ice cream, she said it was very good. I went with a brownie bar. I think it was the Brookie Bar, which is a triple chocolate brownie, with a layer of cookie dough, topped with a layer of chocolate ganache. Its very good, but also very rich and sweet, so a few bites of it goes a long way, but it was delicious. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and explained the menu to us.Definitely check this place out, I believe it is a small locally owned business, and I hope they continue to do well.
Update 1/7/2020.1st. I wont delete my original review as it was of this cookie dough shop. I am very careful when I post my reviews to be honest and to select the right store! I was sitting outside in your teal chair when I wrote that. So, I am not going to delete my original review as it was accurate. That being said... point two.2nd. I saw through facebook that your cookie dough formula and options changed and you were no longer going through a 3rd party for your product. So we were passing by and decided to give it another try. It was *much* better. I wasnt fond of the ice cream, but your cookie dough was spot on in both texture and flavor. Also, the milkshake was very good! The mix of cookie dough, ice cream, and milk just worked very well together. We will likely return, though it is an expensive treat for us.------I was really looking forward to coming here but unfortunately I was disappointed. It tastes okay. I found the consistency to be off; closer to cake batter than cookie dough. It was also overwhelmingly sweet. I found it be a rip off cost wise. The picture below...for a small single scoop was $5. Their sundaes are $10. Finally, I was taken aback by the rudeness of the lady assisting us. It was subtle but she made me feel awkward when I asked questions and stupid when she pointed out the answer. I honestly wanted to really like this place!
I was really in the mood for a Chick-fil-a cookies and cream milkshake but of course the craving happened in a Sunday! So I took to Google to find somewhere with a cookies and cream milkshake. One of the places was Doughsserts, not to mention I had passed this place a zillion times.Well they truely delivered. I dont drink milkshakes all that often, so when I splurge on something sweet I want it to be good! I had the Cookies and Cream milkshake with vanilla icecream, cookies and cream cookie dough and almond milk. It was DELICIOUS! Didnt get the associates name who was working but he was super helpful and answered my 1000 questions. I highly recommend. I will say it is a bit pricey (for the shake at least), so good for a treat! Ill definitely be back, and to try the dough/cookies!
This was our first time as Doughssert and it was amazing! Their customer service was great, the owner recommended what would be good to try since it was our first time. My husband was very pleased that they even had a vegan and gluten free option. We will most definitely be coming back.
Read the reviews. Owner is snobby and RUDE, but only to reviews that show this place as a mediocre cookie place.
Ive gotten the ice cream bars every time I come in. Its the perfect cookie dough treat. They remind me of the m&m ice cream-cookies but much much better. I hope you bring back more ice cream bar flavors eventually!!
One of my favorite spots in town. Definitely the type of small business you need to support. Excellent cookie dough, shakes, ice cream, and cookie bars. Best shakes in town. Fantastic customer service. You won’t be disappointed
The cookie dough and ice cream combo was so good. The young man who helped us Saturday night 10/17 was very helpful.
First time coming in today we had a wonderful experience with Clayton!! He was very knowledges on the products, answered all our questions, and joked around with my boyfriend and I throughout the experience. I walked out with FOUR pints of their delicious dough and will be returning in the very near future.Keep up the great work Clayton!!! :)
I loved all of the different options, and indulged with a chocolate chip cookie cup with cookies and cream ice cream. It was wonderful! Also, great service by the owner, very kid friendly environment and daily specials. Will definitely be back!
Go! Just go! I just moved to Florida a few days ago and decided to come here with my husband and 2 year old daughter. All I can say is, yum! The man working (I believe is the owner), was amazing! Very friendly and super helpful. I remember him asking me what kind of cookie dough I wanted and I said, Just the regular kind. And he responded with, No such thing as just regular cookie dough, haha! So true! But I will definitely be back and back again! Also, he gave my daughter some m&ms while we were waiting, so she loved that too! Great place!!
The brookies are amazing! You must try!! Wish they would come to our neighborhood more often! :) Will definitely make our way to the shop as often as we can. Cant wait to try a milkshake.
Updated. Just to be clear the texture is already too thin. Cookie Dough should be thick. Something is just off with this cookie dough.Service was great and the appearance is very clean. Very nice store. Would rate 5 🌟 for that along. But honestly I am not a fan of their cookie dough. It seems very very sweet and the texture isnt right. Seems more like frosting with mix-ins than cookie dough.
Stopped in for my birthday. The “dough”verload was delicious. Owner was nice and takes pride in his product. He should! It rocked! He even sang me happy birthday.
Great place to get ice cream, ice cream cones, cookie dough and more!Good quality and great tasting desserts.I love their homemade cookies! They are huge and worth the money! My favorite is the birthday cake cookie dough bar!
Killer milkshake! Its not often I find a milkshake thats anything special, but this one was exceptional. The owner mentioned that they source the ice cream locally and you can definitely taste the difference versus other places. Im not a cookie dough person, but I may have to try it based on how great the milkshake was!
Great cookie dough with many different flavors and ice cream. My son and I truly enjoyed it. The owner was very friendly and even checked on us to see how we liked everything.
If youve ever wanted to get diabetes and enjoy it.. This is the place to go. Have you ever wanted a TACO FILLED WITH COOKIE DOUGH?! If you said no then they dont need that kind of negativity in their lives anyways. This place is freaking good and the owners are awesome. They recognize my wife, son, and I every time we go in. I wouldnt mind getting diabetes from here, it would be worth it.
We had an absolutely delicious cookie dough milkshake and a cookie dough sandwich! The owner was awesome and so friendly! It has a little chalkboard for kids, and a small table as well! A great find!
Cool way to eat cookie dough. Guy that owns the place was really nice. It is back off the main road intermingling with other businesses. Worth the search!
First time here, we had Clayton taking care of us and he was amazing, making my experience awesome! Definitely would come back!
The person working was very nice, but unfortunately we weren’t very impressed with the cookie dough or the prices. My kids all felt like it was way too sweet after a couple of bites (which is saying a lot coming from kids!) and we were surprised to find it was a bit lukewarm instead of cold. I was also tempted to try a milkshake, but couldn’t justify $8 for a shake, locally sourced or not.
Great owner. So glad he took control from the previous situation. You can tell he loves the craft of making this stuff. Some cookie dough places have this weird off-putting almost raisin flavor present. Im not sure if its the flavoring to cut a corner or if its preservatives. But here, just what youd expect from something you whipped up at home. Fresh, sugary and fun. Come here all the time with my girls. Whole family loves it!
Just went for the first time and it was great. Bella was so helpful with all our allergy concerns! Can’t wait to come back again.
We arrived about 15mins before they closed. The young lady at the register was very nice and helpful. I ordered the 1 scoop of chocolate chip (so good!) and my best friend had 1 scoop of birthday cake and 1 scoop of snicker doodle (his favorite). The store was very clean and decorated nicely. I could definitely see this being a great place for a child’s birthday party or even a cute date location. Enjoy!
This is our second day in a row going, and its a great spot for a grand treat! Mr Clayton was very helpful both times as well!
It was a tasty treat and the employee was friendly, however the portions are very small and expensive. Each “scoop” was scraped flat against the scooper so it was really only half of a scoop. $5 plus tax for two half-scoops... C’mon man.
Stopped by for a Sunday treat. A small friendly shop that is attentive and quick to make sure you know what you are getting. Which in my experience, was a delicious shake full of flavor and gone to quick. Good for a quick in and out treat. I think the price was slightly high, however, there is nothing else out there like it.
Delicious! Great service, good prices, quality desserts. Will definitely get it again!
They have so many flavors to choose from it makes it a very tough decision. Not only was the cookie dough perfect but so were the baked cookies. All the flavors we had were just as if you were eating the best homemade batch of cookie dough but Cookie Dough Bliss dough is completely safe. The owners and staff did a great job of taking care of everyone and did a great job answering any questions we had. I cant wait to go back and try some of the other flavors.
I absolutely love coming here! The treats are delicious and worth every cent! There’s something here for everyone and I love the premium ice cream that’s made locally in Jax too!
My dreams have come true! I love the cookies and cream brownie bar. It’s the best brownie I have ever had in my life. If I could have given three 6 stars I would have. Clean, friendly staff, cute store.
Great concept! Creative! Staff are great & the Red Velvet is by far my favorite! Always a treat when I come here!
We enjoyed the gluten free cookie dough. Definitely a nice treat! Owner and staff were friendly. Cute place. My daughter loved the chandelier. I just ordered cookie dough pops. Cant wait to try them!
Super delicious! Owner is super friendly. Best favor is red velvet! A safe way to eat cookie dough.
Been there several times with the family. Good location, food, atmosphere, and the owner and staff are really friendly. Recommend!
Fun experience, kids loved it, kind owner, love the idea and hope it lasts. We plan to stop when in the area. Flavor choices were very spot on. Suggest the minis so you can sample a few.
3 stars because it was a nice place & the chocolate chip cookie dough was good, but found a hair in the red velvet sampler ball. I’m glad it wasn’t myfavorite one but was definitely turned off by it. If I could post a picture I would.
The cookie dough was delicious and the ice cream was just as yummy. we all loved the unicorn poop ice cream 😁
The young lady that works here was so very kind and helpful, I owe her next time we come in. It is sssooooooooo yummy and such a great idea! they have anything you might want for any sweet tooth! Highly recommend!
When I went in I asked for a kids sized and was told I could not have one since I was an adult. Every ice cream place Ive been too allows it but fine. I ordered my cookie dough and the man serving me had a rude attitude the whole time. The cookie dough was mediocre, very gritty and tasted of syrup sugar. I left unsatisfied and will not be going back.
Dont miss this one. Strawberry cookie dough between a sugar cookie and a macadamia nut cookie! Cookie dough goodness!!! Hope this place makes it. I am going to take my nieces this weekend.
Cookie dough shakes or any of the bars are probably your best bet, over the other baked options
Cookie dough is great, just like homemade. Service is always good, owner is very friendly.
Really original. The kids and wife loved it. Not my thing but they had baked cookies which were to die for. 5 stars by The whole family
The owner is very nice and let us try several flavors, we went with birthday cake and cookies and cream. Such a yummy treat!
First timer. Nice place and the owner was a good guy. Cookies and cream is the way to go! I’ll be back
Great treat! Really liked it. Has gluten free and vegan options too. Owner was very nice. Definitely check it out.
Great concept and a even better product. They give you free samples of whatever you want to taste. I had three samples. Fell in love with the chocolate chip cookie dough and the brownie batter. Couldn’t make up by mind both were so good. The owner should me a combination of both that he makes fresh daily, it was like a bar. OMG slap me silly it was good. Will definitely come back next Time we are in town.
High-quality great-tasting creative desserts. Loved it! Will def return 😋
This company advertises with HashtagSaving. The owner is motivated and offers great service. Go try the delicious cookie dough that will knock your socks off on the flavors and choices!
Delicious! Went yesterday, and purchased myself the sugar cookie dough, and bought my husband the chocolate chip cookie dough in a homemade chocolate chip cookie bowl. My husband said the chocolate chip cookie bowl was absolutely delicious and he wish he had a second one!
I tried the Vegan flavor, which was birthday cake. It was incredible! All the other flavors looks amazing as well. Great staff as well!
We discovered Doughsserts delightfully different - delectable - decadent desserts!Cool confections for a hot summer day or night (try the Brooke Bar - Wow)!!! They even have doughsserts for your doggie!
Go to place for their cookie dough milkshakes. The best! 💜
My son and I love CDB! The owner always goes above and beyond to make each visit very enjoyable for us & the cookie dough is taste amazing! 5/5 stars for sure! 😍
Super delicious...super clean...amazing people
Steve was so personable, such a great experience! Definitely will come back!
Customer service was great. Everyine loved the cookie dough and ice cream 2 scoop combo.
Doughsserts is great place to indulge in your sweet tooth! As a vegan, they offer vegan/gf options like cookie dough and it really tastes like cookie dough!
Absolutely delicious and the staff was great, too!!
Delicious! Got 2 scoops & have to take it home. Definitely not complaining bringing this goodness home 🍦
Very yummy! The owner was wonderfully helpful and friendly, even with my indecisive 4 year old. The cookie dough is my lighter than other places which makes it easier to eat and enjoy.
This was honestly the worst dessert place that me and my family have been to. The ice cream selection is slim and they give you the same waffle bowls that you buy out of Walmart or Publix. There’s nothing special about this place at all and it’s definitely over priced. Not a good value for your money. To your response: that is piss poor, why even sell ice cream if you’re not going to stand behind it. You may as well have not even responded because that is poor customer service. We definitely won’t be back.
Great value for good desserts. Service was quick and friendly
Amazing deserts and awesome customer service. They have my top recommendation!!
My girlfriend and I got a milkshake today and it was delicious - and reasonably priced. My girl kept commenting on the cute pink decor and we will definitely be returning soon to try other flavors!
Friendly service but the portion sizes were small and pricey. We were expecting more of a fro-yo choose your toppings experience but the flavor and topping varieties were limited.
Great night out with family ... owner Steve is a genius in the cookie dough world ... we will return soon !!
Cookie dough!!! What else can I say. My daughter loved it. Well be back.
Best milkshakes it town! Staff is amazing also!
Had the peanut butter one. The owner Steve seems like a really nice dude. Would go again
I love ittttt... sooo yummyyy is like the perfect desert. Lovely staff and atmosphere.
Edit 5/27:Decided to try it again after the rebranding. Its pretty good now. The cookie dough itself still isnt any different than the ready to eat kind at the store, but what they do with it now is much cooler, and that makes it worth the trip.________________________________________Original:I really wanted to like this place, it would have been nice to have a new dessert place on the south end of Gate Pkwy. We tried two different flavors, chocolate chip, and Andes Mint, and neither of us could finish them because they were tasteless and horrible. Imagine a mashed stick of butter, left unrefrigerated for maybe an hour, mixed with beach sand. Thats the consistency and taste of the cookie dough. One of the cups we got still had large, visible, chunks of unmixed butter in it, and the guy serving it seemed completely unphased by that. It was like a $5 cup of butter. For the price, Publix has a brand of ready to eat cookie dough in the same section as the regular break and bake cookies that tastes wonderful. Id recommend it over this place any day. If supermarket dough is better beyond comparison than a specialty shop, I really dont think this place is going to make it.
Last week during our annual “fabulous Florida road trip vacation to the Mayo Clinic” we had brought all the ingredients from Dallas to bake cookies in our residence hotel room, for the hubby’s liver/kidney transplant team and especially one doc who adores chocolate chip cookies. However, on a busy schedule we ran out of time, and looked for a bakery instead. Doughsserts came up on a phone search coincidentally just after driving right by it. Called and talked with owner Steve Boudreaux, who offered to start a fresh batch even though originally planning to leave around that time. We walked in and met him, exchanged a few New Orleans and Dallas anecdotes, and gladly accepted his offer to bake a dozen cookies and even bring them to our hotel on his way home. We found a new friend that Thursday evening in Jacksonville, Doctor Mai has a new favorite spot to assuage his chocolate chip cookie cravings, and our “Second Chance Support Group” of transplant friends will be checking out Doughsserts too. Thanks very much, Steve, for extraordinary service and a great story! Linda & Gary Evans
I go there once a week and it gets better with every visit.
Good shop for all your cooking dough needs.
Great service! Fantastic ownership! Great overall experience!
Such a unique little place! Love it!
Great customer service and fun family treat! We like story time!
So so yummy!
Fantastic place! Recommend the cookies and creme!
Excellent service, delicious desserts.
Food is delicious and service is outstanding!!
I dont understand the rebranding because it appears to be the same. Cookie sandwich or milk shake is the best
The cookie dough was good but a bit pricey. Would have rated 3 stars but gave an extra due to them allowing 100% profits to go to the local elementary school for an event for a couple of hours.
