I’ve been eating Donut Shoppe donuts since I was 4yrs old (I’m 36 now) and they donuts have always been amazing. I’ve moved out of Jacksonville and made a point to visit this weekend while in town. The donuts were still amazing but the customer service even better. Everyone who works there is so pleasant and helpful! A dozen donuts were only $10. Great price. Happy that they’re still in business and making the world better with donuts.They are cash only, but have an ATM inside if you forget and don’t have cash.

This place makes the best donuts in Jacksonville and has been voted that way in best of polls. The original glazed are most popular and are soooooo good. They only accept cash and checks (theyve been around awhile), so no debit/credit cards accepted. Ive been going there for years and have never been disappointed, except they put Boston creme in the eclairs and not white cream. They do have an ATM in the lobby that will charge you $2.75 surcharge, so take cash.

I would consider this a gourmet doughnut place. Its as if you can taste the love in ever bite of whatever donut you eat. I am trying so hard not to gain weight by discovering this diamond in the city is causing me to reevaluate some thing my life. 😊

This was our first time here. Went there this morning as my wife was craving doughnuts to go with her kings cake coffee and all I can say is WOW! People are polite, doughnuts are super fresh and delicious! Price is reasonable too and they take cash but have an atm if needed. So worth the trip and they definitely have new customers in us for sure!

This place is amazing! Youve never had donuts if you have only been to krispy kreme or dunkin donuts. These are a new tier of donuts. Give this a try! Ive gotten the glazed chocolate creme, powdered cake and sprinkled cake! But my first bite was from a strawberry filled donut. Amazing..

I found myself parked outside of the Donut Shoppe at 4:51 am all because I had spent the previous hours before my drive drooling over photos and reviews.I love Apple Fritters and when I kept reading about these Uglies served here I had to try it. I had the pleasure of getting one fresh from being glazed and I fell im love at first bite! Its got a very mild crunch that leads into the perfect chewy bite or cinnamon, apple and glaze. The strawberry cake donut was moist and melt in your mouth goodness, I loved this one as well.Oh, and the customer service was great. For some reason I thought I would be the only one here this early but as soon as the open sign came alive so did the customers.If I wouldve had the same experience and had only ordered the Ugly and the Strawberry cake donut this review wouldve got 5 stars hands down! But, their glaze donut was literally cold resulting in a not so fresh experience for that one.Ill be back for the beautiful Uglies and the Strawberry Cake donut for sure.

If you know, you know. A hidden gem here in Jacksonville. When I was a little girl my father would go early to surprise me with these DELICIOUS Apple Fritters called uglies. They sell out fast, so if you want one, be sure to arrive early! I do not even like donuts but I cannot help myself to eat.... a few.. eeek yes a few when I grab a dozen. Blueberry is my fav! PS. This place is absolutely legendary!! Been a lifelong fan since I was a little kid growing up in Arlington. Even after moving away, wed always visit when we were in town. BEST tasting donuts, huge selection, super friendly staff! Definitely have not lost their magic over the years - just as awesome last week as when I was 8 years old! It was a nice shop but for some reason the Bavarian cream in the donuts tasted like bad vanilla pudding. They might want to try using different cream. 😔

The Donut Shoppe is the BEST donut Shoppe in Jax. The Owner passed away and I was so afraid, they would shut it down. What a great team they are to be able to continue on and stay open.Make sure you have cash in when you come here. Cash only establishment. The long john’s and Apple fritters are my favorite. They also serve coffee. Wear a mask when you go in to order. They have a couple of indoor tables to sit at. You also can call in your order the night before. Leave your order on the answering machine. Don’t forget to leave your name and telephone number. It will be ready for your pick up time. Enjoy!

Absolutely Love This Place!!! Right down the street from my place.. Their Donut Holes are the best... As are the Cinnamon Cake Donuts.. Eventually Ill get him to make some Cinnamon Cake Donut Holes, or Just Glazed Donut Holes Coated with Cinnamon Sugar... I get as close as possible buy having them all bagged together... Some of the Cinnamon Sugar comes off the Cake Donut... Hahaha... I really missed this place and the price and service cant be beat. They have the best donuts Ive ever eaten. They are the typical basic donut variety and the coffee is always fresh. Great parking for RVs in the back with a rear entrance door as well.

It was just ok for me, after reading the reviews and such positive word of mouth I was expecting to be amazed but like I said the donuts are just average. Bring cash as well, they dont accept cards.

These donuts have been the platinum standard for over 50 years. Sadly, after the Dad passed away, they changed something. Their donuts are no longer the icon we have enjoyed for many, many years. Whatever you changed, I encourage you to return to the original recipe, even if it costs a little more. The change has been recognized by many.
