This is such an awesome bakery with a wonderful and delightful owner. I called last minute to order a birthday cake for a same day pick up. Darla, was able to help me pick out flavors and colors. The cake was so beautiful, moist, and delicious that I’m ordering another one for me niece birthday next week. I definitely would recommend her to everyone!!!

I cant say enough positive things about my experiene with Darla! Not only was she extremely professional but she was incredibly thoughtful in helping me pick out a cake for my husbands birthday. I was traveling from New Jersey to North Carolina for my mothers birthday which was July 31st and then to Jacksonville, Florida for my husbands birthday which was August 1st. I called her shop on July 31st, wanting to pick up the cake on Sunday, August 1st, when I would arrive in Jacksonville. Although the shop was closed on Sundays, she came in just to have the cake ready for me! She also walked me through all of the options that would be good for my husband. I went with the coconut cream cake which was an absolute dream! It was beautiful, moist and incredibly tasty! I highly recommend Frosted by Darla. Top notch service and amazing treats!

A Yelp rabbit hole lead me to this adorable little bakery, that is actually right by my house and has been for about six years, according to the incredibly sweet (pun intended) and friendly owner. Im both glad and mad at myself for finding this place. When she sells cake by the slices, Im going to have to find a whole new level of will power to not go up there on all of my days off.And not just cakes by the slices, but she has cookie sandwhiches, cake pops, mini cheesecakes, brownies, rice krispies and more. I was so impressed at how many sweet treats were packed into this tiny shop.For our first time in we tried a slice of the White Chocolate and Raspberry cake, a Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwhich, and a six count of the Strawberry with Chocolate Ganache mini Cheesecakes. Man, they were all sooo good! I wish they werent as good so I wouldnt be thinking about them so oftem. Its hard to choose, but I think the cake slice was my favorite. It was just cooked perfectly and the frosting wasnt overly sweet and the raspberry filling was that right amount of tarte to offset everything else. It was heavenly.For the sake of my waistline Ill do my best to not give into the temptation too often, but I cant wait to go back and try some other tasty treats!Also, she does offer custom cake options if you have an event (or just want a whole cake to yourself... I couldnt judge or blame you). Not sure of pricing, but definitely worth checking into!

Darla was absolutely amazing! She responded so quickly to my last minute custom order request. She was super patient, kind and gave me great customer service from beginning to end, even when I became indecisive about my cake choice. The finished product was fabulous. The cake and cake pops were so moist and absolutely delicious. They were an absolute hit at my daughters party. Darla exceeded my expectations and made a repeat customer out of me. Ill definitely go back!

Just discovered this gem and omg everything I got was so so good! The cookie butter cake was so yummy along with the cookie whoopie! My boys got a couple cupcakes that they loved also. I’m so happy we found this bakery. I will definitely be back this week for more. The owner was super sweet also! Cannot wait to try more cake flavors, cheesecakes, and cake pops next!

Great personal service and attention to detail! I had a great experience working with Darla to make gender reveal cake pops for my family. Would 100% recommend.I am expecting my second baby and can’t be in Jacksonville to share the news with my family, so I wanted to surprise them with a sweet treat to reveal the gender. I found Darla’s bakery during a google search, all the way from Chicago! I was looking for a great place that can deliver my grandmother a nice birthday cake to her home. My grandmother lives in Jacksonville! Darla was so patient with me over the phone! She’s also such a sweet woman! It was a blessing to have met her. I had such a pleasant experience with Darla! I submitted an inquiry through her website for some last minute desserts for an event. She called almost immediately. Everything had to be done and ordered via phone since I couldn’t swing by the shop. The desserts she made were PERFECT (and she had no time to prep for my theme), hand-delivered them, and was amazing at communication via text to keep me in the loop. Ive used Darla for multiple events (graduations, birthday party, baby shower, etc.). She is always punctual when it comes to custom orders and always has great cakes, cake pops and cupcakes out for purchase.Recently she did a Toy Story theme of cake pops and while she didnt have the Disney brand Toy Story items, she worked with me and we used cowboy hats and did the primary colors of the movie.My favorite item to get here are the cake pops. They are ALWAYS good and moist. My favorite flavors are the Strawberry, Vanilla, and Cookie Dough. Strawberry is definitely number 1.Some may say that the custom orders can get expensive and while they can, you have to remember that they are made to order, self made, and well done. You can tell she takes her time with each and every order. I will forever support Ms. Darla and choose her for my events.

I live in Arizona. I was looking for something yummy and special to send to my brother for his birthday. I was lucky enough to find Frosted by Darla. According to my brother and great nieces they are the best cupcakes and cake pops you will ever taste. Darla is just the nicest person ever. Heaven in cake form! We stopped in tonight looking for a new dessert spot and I am so glad we did. My husband got cookie butter cake and it was amazing as was the chocolate chip cookie whoopie pie. The kids got cake pops. Will definitely be coming back. The woman,Im assuming Darla, was so friendly. Felt like I was in a small town shop.

Twice now, my daughter has wanted hedgehog cupcakes. (Shes got a thing for hedgies.)Darlas hedgehog cupcakes are wonderfully cute, tasty and color-coded with bows (so you know if its a chocolate for vanilla cupcake). Weve seen her cakes at parties--and they are incredible.

Darla has got to be one of the sweetest people Ive ever met! I gave her an idea I wanted for my daughters 1st birthday cake and she did even better than what I asked for. We got a standard vanilla cake and I have to say that was one of the best vanilla cakes Ive ever had, super moist, not too sweet, and not too much frosting. We didnt even have any leftovers!

My cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday were so moist and yummy! She also did a great job in creating a paw patrol pull-a-part cake. I would definitely recommend Darla cupcakes!

We have only been here twice but absolutely LOVE the wedding cake cupcakes. They are so, so yummy. My wife really enjoys the little key lime pie bites too. You cant go wrong with some treats from Darla!

I don’t leave reviews often but Oh my gosh this was good!!! The cake literally melted in my mouth! I will definitely be back. Prices are more than reasonable. My slice of pecan cake was huge!

I purchased a Dozen cake Pops - 6 flavors (1 gluten free) for a Girls Beach trip. The Girls loved them. My girls are Southern Ladys from Alabama who love their treats, they enjoyed all the flavors that Darla recommended.We shared Vanilla, Oreo, Red Velvet, German Chocolate, Chocolate Gluten Free and Lemon. They were a hit. Darla has a great variety and will gladly make any order for your Occassion.Its in a convenient location on your way home from work, school or out running errands.

The best desserts in Jacksonville! Really disappointed I didn’t get my sons birthday cake from here.😭 I would have loved to work with their staff because they were so customer oriented! I left out there with a cake pop, s’mores rice crispy treat, and a cupcake and let me say....the buttercream frosting was the best we’ve ever had! And the cake pop was so moist!!!! I am in love with this little shop

OMG!!! OOOOMMMMGGGGGGG!!! Amazing desserts. The absolute BEST cake pops Ive ever tasted. Cupcakes are super yummy and the BEST too. Also, tried her brownies and banana pudding which were great too. Bottom line, everything Darla makes is amazing. She is catering all the desserts for my daughters first birthday... tier cake, smash cake, matching cupcakes, cake pops! Super excited. Darla is so nice and very personable. She is the owner and makes all the desserts herself.

So happy to finally try this place out! My fiancé and I have always heard great reviews so we went to try it ourselves and it was delicious! We got two cake pops which were so moist and had so much flavor as well as the Whoopie cookie - it was the softest cookie. We will be back!
