Although I was a bit disappointed, due to the fact that out of 15 unused items of little boys clothing (all of which had original tags) only 2 items were accepted. The young lady at the counter took the time to explain the various reasons to my satisfaction, which was much appreciated. This was the 1st time being in their store but the warm smiles and friendly conversations made me feel like a frequent customer. KUDOS to the River City store!

Expect $10. That’s their favorite number. I’ve been doing some experiments with bringing in different quality of items and the number of items. I could bring in big toys and new clothes with tags. Could be 15 items, could be 30. I went in 10 different times this last month. 8/10 times they landed on $10 exactly. Interesting.

Great deals and I used to love coming here. Now store has a policy of everyone entering must wear a mask, but the manager or owner was not wearing one. Furthermore, the worker checking me out kept pulling down her mask to scratch her nose and wipe her mouth with her hand while touching the clothes I was purchasing. I wish they would follow their own policy to help keep everyone safe.

I came here hoping to find a high chair and a doorway jumper. The only high chair was $90 (way overpriced for the brand/condition IMO) and the doorway jumpers were more expensive than at other once upon a child locations. I waited to go to the location in Eastern JAX and they had the exact same jumper in better condition for $5 less. Got a few sleepers, but they had a very limited selection.

This place is a joke. I drop off a bin of clothes and they have a four hour wait time. Cool. No problem, I get it. Sunday’s are busy. I come back when I get the text it’s done and they take maybe a handful of items and say that there’s a bunch of stained items. Half of the clothes haven’t been worn and still have tags on them but they have ‘stains’. Big waste of my time and I would rather just sell or donate the items than go through this process again.Also another tip, maybe work on customer service.

Went to sell baby swing, bassinet, portable swing was given an 2 hour wait time, went in After 2.5 hours belongings weren’t looked at, was told another hour, 25 minutes later had a text stating they looked at my stuff, I go in and was told pieces were missing from bassinet and both swings which was used by my granddaughter as well as niece not more than a month ago, now mind you we just took everything apart today prior to leaving my home and going straight to store. Told my husband after I checked in that I had a feeling they were going this. Thanks for wasting my time

They give you dirt prices for when you sell to them. I brought them a mint in box cart cover and they were going to offer me $5.. screw that! Also, the prices of their clothes you could get new at Marshall’s or Ross. I will not shop or sell here ever again.

I have visited several locations of this chain. This one is the closest to me and I just love it. It is not the largest Once upon a child I have been to, but it is always clean and organized which is important to me. Lots of new stuff comes into this store daily so the selection is always changing. I would recommend this location.

Worst place ever!!!! First off they over charge for clothes that most are really worn. Example my daughter found a pair of shoes that she tried on. The fabric on the straps was peeling and the whole back sole was unglued from the shoe. They wanted 5.50 for them 🤣🤣🤣 yeah right. We find some decent clothes and check out I get to my friends house in Callahan and discover they charged me twice for the clothes. I call them and some guy tells me to come back in to have it refunded. So I had to drive back from Callahan to handle this only to be told that it should fall off tonight and they have been having issues with double charging. Seriously you couldnt of mentioned something over the phone????? Instead I wasted my gas and time to drive all the way back there?????? I will never go to this one again I will stick with the one on Atlantic they are cheaper and dont have these issues!!!!

Always find nice gently used clothes here. They also have toys, strollers, cribs and pretty much anything you would need for a kid. And if you sign-up for the rewards youll get the occasional text letting you know about special deals they have going on.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the DEALS on adorable and useful others needs for my Little Girl growing so fast makes living on a Budget so much easier with the Great sales here!

Staff is always friendly and welcoming when I visit this location. The prices are very affordable and all the clothes we’ve purchased have been good as new! Very impressed by their large variety of clothing, sizes, toys, and various baby necessities. Only criticism would be the cleanliness of a large car walker toy we purchased. The price was great, but the cleanliness a bit disappointing. The underside of the car had many crevices - which homed a few dead bugs and cobwebs. Easily overlooked, but something to be conscious of when reselling. I love shopping this store and am sure we will be back soon!

Other than the girls having good attitudes when i declined their buying offer, this place is just a well-packed mess of clothes. I have had lots of experience with this chain but this location wanted the least amount of my new or worn-twice items and for an offendable price. Fully aware of regular child retail store values and offers, this location is a disservice and needs some work.

Worst customer service ever!! Dropped off clothes and the wait time was 2 hours. Okay no problem, I return 2 hours later and it’s still not ready. I have to walk around and wait. 2.5 hours later after drop off I come back to follow up and still another 20-25 minutes to price the items, not to mention the TV shows people ahead of me with a later drop off time than mine?? They have at least 4 employees working yet it wasn’t ready?! This is also the 3rd time this has happened. Won’t be back!!

Terrible location. Too full of stuff to move around. Can barely fit a stroller down the aisles. Bring in gently used toys, with no parts missing and they still don’t want them. Strollers must be in perfect, never used condition to be accepted, though I have bought a stroller there with more problems than the one I tried to sell to them! Very bougie. Don’t waste your time.

Store was organized and clean and the girls were very friendly. I come maybe 1-2 times a year to sell and have never had an issue and have never had to wait a long time. I am writing this review solely to give a shout out to the young lady who processed my items for her honesty and integrity. I brought in two large garbage bags of clothes and while processing them, two items were accidentally left out. After I left, she called to let me know about the mistake and asked if I can come back to collect the few extra dollars. I thanked her for her honesty. Be blessed and keep up the good work girls!

The ladies that work in this location always go above and beyond with me. One example was on an occasion i had passes during a buy.. She took the time to explain everything and how i could use my 10% off to purchase new items for my daughter. Very clean store with a great selection and great workers make me a loyal customer.

I do all my kids clothing shopping here! They have great clearance and lots of variety. Some items are very overpriced and the pricing is inconsistent (I found 2 of the same exact pants for different prices). But their baby items are great!! 10 onesies for $10. You cant beat that!

Nice place to shop for used and sometimes new childrens clothes. The place is large. Theres also childrens shoes, toys, potty chairs, dishes, etc.

Not only rude but they all dress like slobs. Jeans can look great, when they fit properly. Take an iron to that wrinkled up shirt oh I mean T-shirt thats 2 sizes too small. And please do something with your hair. You can be poor, but be proud! A little makeup even.

Very nice store. Some used items in the store are priced like new, but 99% on the stuff is a good deal. $1 for winter outfits, Looks like a great deal. I havent sold to them yet but will try soon. Staff is very welcoming.

My last visit the staff was rude and very unhelpful. I’ve learned not to sell to once upon a child because I’ll have items turned down for a piece of lint but yet while I shop there are items on top of items that’s a faded, piled, Ive even seen diaper bags with holes so there is no consistency on accepting item which is frustrating. I only give it 2 stars cause I like going to end of season sales when Stuff is extra 50% off cause that’s only time I’m willing to pay the high amount they sell stuff for.

Great selection of kids clothes and toys that dont cost an arm and a leg. I get all my sons clothes from here. If you have children I recommend you go there, you wont be disappointed.

Staff has always been helpful and friendly. Some things seem a little over priced but if you have the time to sort through you can find some really good deals. The store is extremely small so having your little ones with you especially in a double stroller can be challenging. If its busy I usually find myself just leaving however I do prefer this location over the rest of Jacksonville OUAC.

Ive been to this location multiple times. Every time Ive come the customer service sucks. Ill stand at the counter with my items and never am I acknowledged even with 2 girls behind the counter and other walking around. I have to ask for help before a lazy worker decides to slowfully crawl over to help. Ill drive across town for better customer service. Only 2 stars for the prices.

More upset about bringing in clothes that r outfits and some not even worn and they arent supposed to separate outfits so now Ive got bits and pieces of expensive outfits that r trash I will not be going back Ive had a better experience at another location especially after moving. I wish I could give them a freaking negative zero (0). So. The first time I EVER went into THIS location. Keep in mind my kids are 22 and 20 years old so Im not new to Once A Upon a Child...And the reason I came back was because I know have grandchildren age 3 and 2. So. I thought WOW I got Great deals.. UNTIL I got home and saw they OVER CHARGE ME FOR CLOTHING.so I returned the next day. Spent over an hour for them to correct a little under$2 bucks once Everything was completed..SOOO, FAST FORWARD, I went in AGAIN weeks later, as I was FINISHED checking out. I noticed that my items was 50% off on all toys..So, I asked was toys on sale.. the cashier took my purchase back and said she rung up it incorrectly.. so I had to wait AGAIN until they called someone to correct the problem..no one in the store knew how to do proper returns the first time or price corrections the 2nd time...so you over charged the first time then wayyyy under charged me to second time but made ME WAIT OVER AN HOUR TO CORRECT YALL MISTAKES.. EVERY time we are in River City My wife be like lets stop in... I tell her HACK NAWL I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THEIR MESS ANYMORE...

Love this store but in the middle of searching for our 6 children Im wore out due to bit being able to move the clothes, there all so jammed packed you can see anything. My arms and hands are literally cramped. Please donate or put less clothes out..

They have some nice children’s clothes. Good brands, decent prices and sales, gently used. Would be worth it to find another location though. The staff is horribly rude, careless and unwilling to fix their mistakes. Would rather buy clothes brand new then deal with these people.

Lots of options, however, it was really busy and a little unorganized.

There is a young male employee : TCT that is all my receipt. Was So So rude! I removed all hangers, arranged all the clothes to find the tags. And even put the color of the day discount clothes all together. I know that helps move things alot checking out. So i told the young man very nicely, I was in a rush and he proceeded to move like a sloth. No kidding... It took him over 30 mintes to check me out! The more I expressed I need to go, the slower he went. This was Truly the most disrespected I have been in a long time. I was VERY nice to him until he truly showed he was taking SO long to check me out on purposes! He even went as far as to put one piece of clothing in the bag at a time.... Yep! So I told him give me the bag and Ill do it. It took me all of 10 seconds to do it. And I left! I will be calling the owner and reporting this young man.

I love consignment stores. That being said, I wasnt to impressed by the staff or the selection. Many new in box (with a new price) items, and the sales associate was not happy to help us. It was a let down after going to the Charleston store. They still do have used kids clothes at a decent price.

Really??? First time and last time doing business with these SHARKS! 2 boxes and a bag filled with baby and children clothings, which they selected 20 items, mostly big kid jeans and offered $27!!!! LMBO. Thats roughly $1.35, for items they will price up from $4 to $15!!! Thats around 80% more than what they give the seller. Its one thing to make money and another to rip people off... Worse than the pawn shop.Needless to say, they returned merely all the baby clothing (unless you take account for all of your items, youre not completely aware if they held out on some which were not accounted for, especially after waiting 2 hours for them to determine). Chances are greater having your own yard sale and selling more of your items. Better yet, donate them to someone in need, if not an organization which gives back to the community. #Once Upon A Child = Once Upon A Fool😨

For you mothers who know how much the moby wraps are worth, I had two brand new ones, with one of them having a design. They offered 10 dollars for BOTH!!! I paid over 40 dollars for each of the wraps ! They are a rip off! It didnt help that the staff is ridiculously rude ! I wouldnt recommend selling anything to them ! The shopping is great though.

The staff at this location are rude compared to any of the other locations. The store is small and they have stuff everywhere. It is impossible to have two people back to back looking at the same stuff.

Brought in a large bin of clothes and electronic toys, baby carrying wrap that cost me $75, a basically brand new changing pad and basically new $50 walker. Clothes were almost all brand names (baby gap, ralph polo, old navy, etc) and was offered $56 for half of my items. The staff was rude and cold. My son accidentally broke a small toy they had sitting at the register and an employee rushed over to him and was extremely rude to my 4 year old. Very unprofessional and I will not be selling to them anymore. It is a rip off and then to be treated like that, not okay.
