Found the new place on Phillips Highway...really really nice. We love 💘 to stop in every once in a while. They have gently pre-used quality furniture of all types. From formal dining to living rooms to bed room to art work you will enjoy your buying experience. No high pressure sales people just great stuff. Saw a lady in for her 3rd buy as every few years she changes out most of her furniture for other things.

Oh my... what is not to like when you go shopping. Or just looking. Its a warm friendly environment. Prices reasonable. Furniture displayed. Oh what am leaving with today! What ideas ... Go, youll love it.

Do not send your furniture here for consignment!!!! The staff is helpful but the owner only processes checks once a month. If they mail your check to the wrong address they ask you to pay the $35 stop payment fee or wait 90 days for it to void. Spoke to the owners and he was very unprofessional and just not helpful! Not to mention rude.*Ms. Walker has moved and failed to update the store of her new address in an appropriate timely manner.* This is false. I verified my address and called the store to confirm my address. *Her check will be mailed to her as soon as her original check becomes invalid (it is voided after 90 days).* This check was originally supposed to be sent to me in February and now I may not receive it until April! Beware!!! As you all see the owner mentioned nothing about his unprofessionalism!!!

This was my first consignment purchase experience. At our advanced age, a good option.I love this place! We found what we needed at a reasonable price. The ladies were courteous, kind and helpful, even with the heavy lifting out to our vehicle.This was our second stop of the day, the first being another business that thought too highly of themselves in terms of prices. It was actually also a dusty and junky consignment shop.So, we will probably put a few things in consignment in the near future and look forward to working with these good ladies again at Clearing House on Philips Hwy.

We popped in just get an idea of their offerings and walked out with a new cabinet. Clean, easy access and a friendly staff. Good assortment of furniture. We learned to check here first before heading to the furniture store.

Store owner took advantage of the Pandemic and has stolen my furniture. My furniture was delivered there 2 weeks before the Pandemic hit. I called to see what I should do. I followed the store employees instructions exactly as she instructed me. When they reopened I called again to find out what I needed to do if anything, I was told my furniture was gone. That my 90 contact was up, the end. He kept the the money and the furniture for about 13 pieces of Lexington furniture.

I love clearing house for quality items and hidden gems. They have a pricing thing where if you wait longer the item typically goes down in price on certain days. I got a big sectional with an ottoman from here for around $650 and was very happy with it. Practically new and at a great price. Some stuff I wouldn’t buy if it has cat hair or marks on it but they do a pretty good job at filtering out the damaged items or things of less than decent quality. They have nice big furniture here too with some dated styles but good options. I will say they are pretty pricey for some items but not sure if they make the price or the seller. Would love to see them stay in business and have fun frequenting their store for quality finds! They also offered me delivery at a good price which came in so handy and set up the showroom area nicely to browse.

I have been here Several times. The staff is always courteous. In fact, we have always been greeted and asked if we have been there before and how their (pricing) tags work.I enjoy the shop so much, when my father came to town, I suggested he visit for some of the items he wanted. He purchased a beautiful chest of drawers. The staff was nice, advised Transport would be $75 and was cash only. They use local delivery people and do not have their own delivery personnel- None of the local consignment shops do, and fees are the same(we checked).Dad was pleased with his purchase.I would say the only thing my father want to enthused about, the store staff did not assist in moving any furniture in order for us to get the piece we purchased. Mind you, there were three of us, so the likely thought we had it covered.Id still give them a resounding FIVE STARS.KEEP UP THE GREAT VARIETY!

Purchased a headboard based on past experience with this company. The item was a headboard, when I arrived at the store, it was not a headboard it was clearly a footboard. They Refused to allow me to putchase another item, but were happy to reconsign in order to make double the commission . I had not even left the building. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY....I WAS SOLD AN ITEM THAT WAS NOT AS ADVERTIZED AND THEY REFUSED TO MAKE GOOD ON THE PURCHASE

Used furniture for reasonable prices. I like this place. Good stuff here. Friendly staff and helpful too. Some antiques, some handbags, some jewelry. Unlike new furniture stores, you can find extra-ordinary pieces, different and unique. Good parking lot.

Really lovely store full of lovely furniture and art pieces, along with dining sets and some plateware. This is not cheap furniture at all, and everything is high quality and really solid, with solid drawers that track properly and doors that are straight and not off plumb. This is not a thrift store like Salvation Army or something.Everything is gently used and at huge discounts off the prices you would pay new, but it pretty much looks new, because they dont take stuff with threadbare seams and so forth like a thrift store will. Also, the staff was quite nice and helpful. I noticed quite a few multi-piece sets, which of course have to be bought as a set.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this store. Constantly changing inventory of only the highest quality. They dont see junk and the prices are terrific. Great staff; great customer services. Theyve been in business for decades but have a freshness about them. I highly recommend you stop here before contemplating your next furniture buy.

We love this store. We can always find a good deal at this store. Items are on consignment and are discounted every 30 days....the items have a tag so if you see something you like, you can see the date that the price will come down BUT dont be like me - if you REALLY like it, go ahead and get it or someone else may get it. Staff is super friendly.

TLDR: Be careful about the pricing and don’t trust the salespeople.The first thing you need to know about this place is how their pricing works. Each piece has a price tags with 3 different prices. Each price is associated with a date and the price gets lower as the piece has been at the store longer. For example, a tag might say:10/1/17 $50011/1/17 $45012/1/17 $400My boyfriend and I went here to buy a dining room table and chairs. The salesperson showed us a set and pointed out the prices. She said it would be approximately $500 (the lowest price on the tag) and I took her word for it. I didn’t look too closely at the tag, which I know I should have done.After speaking to the delivery company and getting a price of $75 for delivery, we agreed to buy the piece and paid $770 out the door.Once we got home we looked closer at the receipt and couldn’t figure out how the business came up with $770 to charge us. The tax was around $40 and the delivery charge would have been $75. $500+$40+$75=$715.My boyfriend called to ask about this. The salesperson told us that we got the middle price on the tag (around $650 I believe) because of the date and that delivery wasn’t included in that price either.This WAS NOT what we were told and I cannot verify if this was true or not. I feel like this was intentionally done or even untrue. The salesperson DID NOT tell us that she had made a mistake when she told us the first price, nor did she tell us that delivery wasn’t included. When we asked if there was a remedy she could offer us - free delivery for example - she said ‘all sales are final’ even though she told us the wrong price.The table itself is very nice and I would have paid what we ended up paying for it, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1. What I don’t like is that I feel like I was tricked and that the salesperson was intentionally deceptive. I would have been a frequent shopper at this store if I didn’t feel this way, but now I don’t feel like I can trust these people.(Also, no one told us that delivery was cash only.)So if you choose to shop here, be extremely careful about the pricing and verify what you’re paying for.

Don’t recommend using this place to sell your goods. They make you pay to ship it there, then price it as they see fit with no communication, don’t tell you if it sells or if it expires and then conveniently sell it after the expiration date and keep all profits.Go somewhere else or sell on craigslist.Edit - as the owner states, they did nothing against the contract which is why I am writing to warn others that the contract is greatly in favor of the ownership with little to no assistance to the seller. Therefore anyone considering selling goods there should go elsewhere. Thanks

Clean, friendly. Great prices and pricing system. But. . . If you see something you want, get it then. It may not be there later that day.

Some stuff is way over priced. I have been in there several times and I have never been welcomed into the store. The employees just look at you when you come in and never ask if you need help. I go back because sometimes you can find a good deal. Today was the first time I have been in and the gentleman working talked to me.

Everything was done quickly and efficiently by Clearing House. They handled all of the business and saved me from doing it myself. I strongly recommend.

They sold a good bit of the stuff I consigned with them. The prices werent that great and they take 50% but I could not have done better elsewhere. What is not sold is returned to the consigner or donated to the Hospice store to sell for benefit of Hospice. They were polite and helpful and took care of everything in a timely and professional manner. I will probably bring more stuff over there this week.

Great experience and the quality of the furniture is very good. We were in the market for a good quality recliner and we found it here at Clearing House. Staff was also friendly and helpful which made the purchase much easier.

The best way to shop at Clearing House is to go once a month. That way youll see all new stuff you never saw before. I like the framed art. They get all kinds of pictures that are already framed and ready to hang. Theres tons of furniture in there. They also get oddball items like electric massage chairs and antique Victrolas.

Very good used/consignment furniture with a large selection. One of the first places we go to when furniture shopping. Have purchased several items there.

Per an employee after we arrived at the store to meet with owner(he is the only one that make purchases) we would have to wait for the owner to leave his house. he dosent like to wait on customer and waste his own time 45min later he pulls up and looks at the furniture set in the truck. then makes us unload it into his store before he will take final offer. he spends the next 15min researching on the rooms to go site since that is were the set what purchased just the couches for 1200. he comes back to us and stated that he can buy them for 600 at rooms togo and that he can only sell them for half that. so he ends up offering us 150 for a mint condish. leather couch, leather love seat, and table, and two polished aluminum lamps. that less then half the 400 they stated would be no problem over the phone. this guy dresses like a car sales men and is just a slick. we loaded up and took our stuff on down the road. Don waste your time shopping or selling here. they buy extremely low ball and sell for top dollar.

Allen is the apparent manager. I consigned a $20,000 Drexel Heritage bedroom set- scrolled King bed, marble topped side tables and dresser with mirror - he appraised at $1499 - ridiculous- I called to discuss with him- he called me snotty and rude- avoid this place at all costs- I have never been treated so rudely.

You would do better to sell your stuff on ebay. These people not only take 50% (which cost them nothing) to they sell your items, but they also charge an $2.00 extra to write you a check. They reduce the amount they tell you they will sell iems for and when you have questions, they refer you to the contract you signed, but which they conveniently failed to give you a copy. They are rude and indifferent. They forget that they wouldnt even have a business without people placing their items with them, expecting that they will be treated as fairly as the owners themselves would want to be treated if the shoe was on the other foot. Wake up Clearing House. I will never do business with you again!

This was beyond Poor and nothing near Fair but it was the lowest rating I could give them. :-(((If you have furniture or household items to consign......take them ANYWHERE but DO NOT take your items to Clearing House!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have never been treated so badly in my life! Their owner is rude, arrogant, accusatory, condescending, disrespectful and offensive. No customer service here. They damaged our furniture and blamed us for the damage. It went downhill from there and when I told him I was sure that we could come to a mutual agreement about what to do, he quickly told me that wasnt going to happen. Unbelievable!!!With all the consignment shops in Jax, there is no reason to ever do business with these people again. Take my advice and take your items to someone who will appreciate your business, respect you and take some pride and care in handling items that don’t belong to them!!! Don’t know how they have managed to stay in business with this kind of management!!!! I suppose they havent heard of something called choices and competition, but one thing is for sure.......if you treat your customers badly, they will go away!!!!
